Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Edición Islay

El último modelo de Land Rover Classic está inspirado en los íconos del Reino Unido: el cofundador Spencer Wilks y la Isla de Islay en las Hébridas Interiores de Escocia, donde se acuñó el nombre de Land Rover.

El Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Islay Edition está inspirado en el Land Rover Serie IIa de Wilks, pintado en Heritage Grey con un techo de piedra caliza en contraste y llantas de acero de alta resistencia. El SUV está construido sobre el chasis Defender 90 y 110 2012-2016, con un V8 de 5 litros y 405 caballos de fuerza combinado con una transmisión automática ZF de ocho velocidades. El cuero Windsor Ebony se usa para los asientos, el techo, los paneles de las puertas y el tablero, con inserciones de tweed de Islay Woolen Mill. Las bandejas removibles redondas están hechas de barriles de roble de la destilería Kilchoman, y cada Islay Edition viene con una botella de whisky "639" hecho exclusivamente para el vehículo.

Se producirán 17 Defender 90 y 13 Defender 110.

Limited edition Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy Revealed. ++ #landroverdefender Works V8 Trophy is a modified version of the previous generation version of the company’s iconic 4x4, built by Land Rover Classic and designed to pay homage to the brand’s Camel Trophy-winning off-road racer from 1989. Prices start from £195,000 for the short wheelbase 90 model and production will be limited to just 25 examples. ++ Twenty-five examples of the #Defender Works V8 Trophy, in a mixture of 90 and 110 Station Wagon body designs, will be exclusively finished in a unique Eastnor Yellow paint colour with matching 16-inch steel wheels. Contrasting Narvik Black paintwork features on the wheel arches, bonnet and rear door. Land Rover Defender Works 90 V8 "Islay Edition," 2023. A special edition restomod project by Land Rover's Classic division that celebrates 75 years of the iconic 4x4. The work can be carried out on any 2012-2016 Defender 90 and includes a comprehensive restoration, fitting a 400hp 5.0 V8 with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox and interior retrimmed with  ‘Windsor Ebony’ leather. The vehicles are all finished in Heritage Grey and reference the 1965 Series IIa owned by Spencer Wilks - one of the founders of Land Rover. Wilks used the Scottish Island of Islay to test Land Rovers, hence the name. Restorations will be limited to 13 vehicles that will cost £245,000

Hey! :) RE: topic of Damian's skin tone, I feel you and other users on it being a hard topic. I agree that Damian's character presents a good opportunity to show diversity. I've noticed though - there are some Tumblr users who get pretty rude about it! Like harshing on fan-artists who don't make random characters "brown enough". Example, HCs aside, any idea why some people think Dick is supposed to be brown or Jason is Latino? I've read a lot of comics over the years and never seen that. :s

oh yeah, attacking fan-artists for it is absolutely terrible, and I hate when I see it. (and I see it all too often) Like one time a person I knew did that to an artist, and was honestly confused as to why the artist defended themselves/attacked her back, it was RIDICULOUS. 

Like. Being rude about it to people who have nothing to do with the actual product just makes you a shitty person. So shut the hell up

Edit: Also! I forgot to add - it was mentioned literally like once in a late 90s/early 2000s comic that Dick’s heritage is Romani, so people ran with it, despite the writer being overall disliked/despised. Before that as far as I’m aware he was always assumed/considered white. Jason being Latino or hispanic is mostly just a headcanon as far as I’m aware, but based slightly on some specific panels/instances. Though I’m not 100% on that.
