Scarbo Vintage SV Rover, 2024. Claimed to be "the world's first street-legal hypertruck," the California-based motorsport company have extensively modified a Land Rover Defender with carbonfibre and aluminium bodywork. There's interchangeable 2- and 4-wheel drive, locking front and rear differentials and adjustable-height pushrod suspension offering 30 inches of wheel travel. It also comes with 4-wheel steering, 40inch off-road tyres and carbon-ceramic brake discs. Power comes from either a 1100hp supercharged V8 with an 8-speed gearbox or a 1005bhp electric drivetrain. Ares Defender Cabrio, 2023. Italian carrozzeria Ares Modena have revealed a new version of their open topped Land Rover Defender. Whilst details are limited it's likely their Cabrio will be offered with the same 4.7-litre naturally-aspirated 282hp Land Rover V8 or 475hp supercharged version as their other Defender models.
