China does not want your country in flames. Bad for business and also its rich people want to be able to send their kids there for college and go take photos of themselves holding ice creams in front of the Golden Gate Bridge

Ears are Flowers for Gossipy Wasps
If you are one of those brilliant individuals who have an awareness of what your goals are and how to get there, then you have a profound understanding of the time required to execute your action plan, with no time to dawdle or to subject yourself to a state of inertia. A time away from your routine is time wasted and therefore, opportunity lost.
There is a quote attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt…

for real 'don't mourn the dead but rather rejoice' is just about the most universal piece of wisdom you'll get from any religion anywhere so dunno what else people expected the head of a semi-religious order to tell anakin.
if you come to a spiritual person for advice (which anakin did, of his own volition) you get a spiritual answer idek

The complaints are outright ridiculous to begin with but I will admit longtime granblue players commenting “Post Grid” on posts complaining about censorship (here meaning giving characters shorts) is a pretty funny response

Israel supporters/defenders/apologists are so out of touch with reality it's crazy. Cause how do you look at this situation where one side is being given billions of dollars by outside forces, has better living accomodations, and can get away with war crimes scot-free, while the other side has no water, barely any food or electricity, a serious shortage of medical supplies, and has gotten cut off from the world via internet shut-down at least twice in the past month, all BECAUSE of the other side, and you look at this and you go "Actually Israel is defending itself, so all of this is justified and the Palestinian people brought this upon themselves because of Hamas' terrorism. You're all being brainwashed and have fallen for misinformation and propaganda, unlike me" like do you hear yourself rn ... are we even in the same planet, the same timeline ??

Elvia Diaz is an opinion columnist not an actual reporter so she gets a little more leeway on how she writes about the news but this piece is such a joke. "Compromise?" "Dealmaker?" "Decisive leadership?"
Lol please.
Gov Hobbs didn't compromise. She gave Republicans everything we were originally asking for. There was literally no change between what we said we wanted and what she eventually had to give us. The rental tax repeal? Hobbs didn't delay that until 2025 to give municipals a chance to prepare - that was the original plan in the original bill and one of the things Dems pretended they objected to. The transit tax? It wasn't Hobbs' idea to nix some of the light rail funding in exchange for getting the rest of the package - that was the original demand of Republicans who never objected to anything in the package except the light rail funding. She could have had this entire deal months ago but she knee-jerk rejected it because she didn't think she should have to work with an opposition-controlled legislature even when they gave her very reasonable plans.
Now look, I don't mean to imply that Hobbs shouldn't have given us these things - I'm thrilled she did and they will be a benefit to Arizonans. But this wasn't a moment of strength for her. This was a fight she picked and lost.
Kudos to the legislature for sticking to their guns on this. They got this done, not Hobbs.

it’s so crazy to me like like the dobbs decision was framed as “returning the power to decide abortion to the states” and then the states were like OKAY
(and like obviously there’s a big difference between state legislatures and state referendums but still the fact that every time it appears on the ballot people have voted to bolster abortion rights is huge)

One gigantic obvious issue with Fandom Wikis is that they're possibly the worst type of Wiki, with a userbase known to be on the younger side of the average and with no encyclopedic standards, but because it's the most well known of the rare lucrative and free Wiki farms*, it has the best SEO.
*quick explanation of what I mean: there are free and non lucrative Wiki farms/hosts/platforms. Like Miraheze for example: you can host a Wiki on there for free. There are also Wiki farms that are lucrative and you have to pay a fee to host a Wiki on, which is how they make money. Fandom is lucrative (read: littered with ads and sponsors in poor taste) and free to host a Wiki on (because the ads are how they make money.)
So no matter what show, creator or blorbo you look up, the Fandom Wiki, aka the least legitimate Wiki about it or them, will be the first result. And the content of the Wiki has a very good chance of being an unsourced rumour written by a child.
You have to be an informed reader. And here is the baseline information:
1. There are lots of kids making and contributing to Fandom Wikis. Just keep that in mind.
2. If there are no references at the end of a sentence or paragraph, then you have no proof that it is true.
Literally the fact that so many Fandom Wikis contain a ton of information without proper references (aka the source of the information) (aka the little number at the end of the sentence that brings you to a list of links in the footer) is proof that they're not legitimate Wikis. Is it a moral failing to have an unserious Wiki? No, absolutely not. It's just that unserious Wikis shouldn't be at the top of Google search results. The only reason your fun little Wiki about blorbos that you never intended to be that deep is placed so high is that Fandom pays good money for it to be.
And let me tell you that when I joined Fandom years ago, I wasn't gonna guess the standard should be to add references, because no one else did it, so I didn't do it either. The information I wrote was factual, I was a serious editor: but my readers couldn't confirm that for sure, because I didn't share the source. Since anyone can create a Wiki, since the Wiki I joined and adopted in 2018 was abandoned, there are no enforced rules to make your Wiki a proper and legit encyclopedia like there are on Wikipedia. Again, that is the case on any Wiki farm: but everyone knows the 11 years olds discovering Wikis only know about Fandom from their Google searches.
But something I'll add just in case: there are many serious Wiki editors who happen to use Fandom, or to be stuck on Fandom. If you're on a Fandom Wiki and the information is clearly sourced, it's perfectly good, fine and respectable.

Honestly I know "think of the poor minors in fandom" is usually a red flag but this time it's annoyingly incoherent
Someone who was not posting about the problematic fic they got called out for is harming minors how? The two "what they should have done" takes I've seen offered are either 1- blocking all minors who tried to interact with their unrelated blog content because they should have known their vibes were unsafe for children, or 2- actually post about their darkfic kinks and reading history in detail to provide "transparency" FOR said minors so they could choose not to interact. With content that wasn't there unless they had done this. What the actual fuck
So end result of this is putting problematic content all over minor's dashes as "a PSA warning", telling any minors who followed this person that they can block and are now "safe" from this "evil predator in disguise" (who they seemingly never had a problem with before), and generally contributing to an online culture telling minors that anyone they follow could be secretly evil and unsafe AND that it's ok because if there is the slightest sliver of evidence it will eventually be found and aired so that the sinner can be ostracized (btw obviously we know none of you have ever left a comment on a wrong fic... or else 🙃)
Maybe just... don't do this?
