How would you feel if Fire Emblem got rid of reclassing?
Hm,
I think an anon already sent this ask, or something similar earlier?
While Fates's reclassing put more thoughts in it than FE13 and lol!FE16, I'd still argue against reclassing.
Maybe because I played TS since then, or not - but imo the class is part of the unit itself, reclassing means getting rid of part of a character's individuality.
The only "reclass" I thought was well played was, in a way, Lara's reclass in FE5 - she becomes a dancer instead of a thief - but that's tied to the plot.
Also I will go on record since I played a solid amount of both games today: every Echoes map I played today was worse than 24x in FE5. I even went into 24x completely blind without a guide for the sake of seeing what it was like, and I would鈥檝e made it all the way through with only like three casualties if I didn鈥檛 run out of door keys (and if two of those casualties weren鈥檛 Perne and Lara and their lock picks) so I couldn鈥檛 access the escape point at the end.
Meanwhile the Celica swamp chapter I played on the bus today was basically unending pain and misery from start to finish and trying to beat it felt like pulling teeth.
My illustration for Another Turn Vol. II, a zine dedicated to the various refresh units throughout the Fire Emblem franchise! Extremely happy to have the opportunity to showcase some love for Lara and the Dandelion Gang from Thracia 776!
They鈥檙e still doing some leftover sales for merchandise if anyone wants to check that out here:聽https://twitter.com/AnotherturnFE/status/1388508509617131527
