okay. to be fair i haven't watched the episode in 2 years so forgive like. holes. if there are any. but LIKE. IF ASH TOOK THAT, HE WOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN FINE. HE HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO ELECTRIC ATTACKS LIKE THIS MANY TIMES, ON PURPOSE ON SOME OCCASIONS MIGHT I ADD. CLEMONT DIDN'T NEED TO DO THIS. The fact he did though is really awesome to me. because it's something he would never do. in this moment, Clemont is mirroring the courage he sees Ash demonstrate. I'm sure that up to this point he's seen Ash do many crazy things -- i can only remember he's seen Ash jump off the prism tower with no hesitation up to this point. sigh. But yeah. Clemont studies this boy silently. Clemont observes, and becomes a little bit more of a person he can be happy with. In this scene he REALLY shows what he's picked up. it's awesome i love this episode i love this scene

Posting these before I go to sleep bcs I’m tired but I couldn’t stop thinking of this, D-GANG REDESIGNS GRAHHH

Ok so I have my own thoughts and little tidbits about the designs soooo hehehe!!

Don:

I LOVEEE designing jester outfits I had to give him the whole fit

Spades motif because spades represent rebellion, transformation, and acceptance. Since he was the first d-gang member we saw be redeemed-ish I thought it’d fit

Trident from s3 :)

Richard:

Adapted his s1 design, slicked his hair back bcs Nick would wear his down/forward. I didn’t want to give him the cowboy design he had in s3 because although it’s cool I also don’t think he’d want to continue being like Nick when by then he’s come into his own identity as a person

Diamonds motif for hard-working, growth, and hidden depths, but also diamonds are one of the lower classes and Richard was a grunt man for Duni

Dashlie:

Similar to Richard where I adapted her s1 fit, I think she’d experiment more with fashion though and end up with a more alternative style compared to Ashlie’s preppier one

Clubs motif for hotheaded, recklessness, and strength. Like diamonds it’s lower in the ranking

She has a scar through her right eye, mainly due to the 100th episode, she has a mechanical eye and you’d sooner catch her DEAD for the hundredth time than going near an eyepatch and end up being compared to Duni

Duni:

Tried to give him a warmer, cozier look. I have a good amount of headcanons about Duni, one of which being he isn’t actually a clone of Uni but was just so obsessed with him he kept resetting the world, doing whatever it would take for him to fall in love with him, and slowly became more and more like him in an attempt to have him love him more

Mostly based on his s3 design but take off the eyepatch and give him his regular eyes and it’s just what I imagine for his s1 design

Hearts motif for romance, dependance, and passion

DDawn:

Very fancy man, his design doesn’t change much from season to season other than him getting more banged up so this is a s1 design and then in later seasons his clothes are more torn and his screen cracked

Instead of a card suit he gets the “A” for ace, the most powerful card in any suit. This is mostly to represent how he planned to kill Duni and take the wish for his own, he was the last living D-Gang member

Ngl, accidentally Squip inspired with the circuit pattern

All of them have a “D” emblazoned somewhere on their outfits

Love your art, it looks amazing! Love your Sanji in particular, the creases in the suit looks really good. I also really enjoy how you start One Piece then,,,, the vibes. The vibes get you (it's all about love and fun and laughter and freedom and i have a lot of feelings about one piece) do you have a fav character so far?

AHH THANK YOU!!! Sanji is super fun to draw, i always have a blast colouring him!! his minimalistic colour palette & design means there's so many ways to draw him, its real fun!!

YESSS I LOVE THE FUN VIBES GRAHHH the moment Luffy laughed at Coby in like the first episode i was like "oh!!! this is so fun!!!" and it's just been a total blast ever since, haha!!

OHHH THATS SO TOUGH TO CHOOSE!! I've got so many, i'm really endeared by a ton of the characters, even ones i've only seen the designs of!! gah!!!

Luffy has the top spot for sure, he's extremely cool and really inspiring! And most importantly- he's so silly and loveable!!

It was like any other day in the Playa De Losers. Geoff and Bridgette are making out, Harold is trying to get Leshawna back with him AGAIN, Just everyone doing what they usually do. Noah was reading a book, like usual. Why did he want something?? This is annoying. Suddenly, Cody appears and scares him.

"Boo!!" ( laugh )

"Cody, you sure know how to piss me off."

"Whatever!! Anywayyyy.. Whatcha doing?"

"Reading?? Do I look like I'm flying a kite to you??"

"Yeah, you really do!"

" ( sigh ) do you have ANOTHER way to piss me off or something?"

"Yes, actually!!"

"Oh great. and what would that be?" ( noah rolls his eyes )

"This!" ( Cody then puts his hands closer to Noah, wiggling his fingers in suspense. )

( Cody slowly moves his fingers up and down Noah's side, still enough to make him laugh. )

I just watched the new Ena episode AND I SO RECCOMEND IT I've missed the bizzare fun of the series AND ITS SO GOOD TO BE BACK ALL THE CHARACTER DESIGNS AND ANIMATIONS WERE FANTASTIC its all so strange and beautiful actually GRAHHH I LOVE ENA (The ending was very sillay too :3c)

this is so difficult because like. these are abstract concepts i have so many different thoughts on that just sorting them on pure opinion is DIFFICULT and so subject to change (even though there is a consistent cast at the top of my list but like… gahrgehrha theyre all COOL!!!!!!!)

but. ok. take all this with more than a grain of salt bc these all shift and also IDK. IDK. but:

1) the flesh: gore of any kind from medical to Fantastical both utterly fascinates me and also makes me so incredibly queasy. i am a very queasy person im easily grossed out. but GOD. GOD. the flesh is SO COOL. conceptually the flesh garden is my absolute favorite episode. God i wish we had a cool avatar people think is hot instead of the fucking homophobe

2) the buried: hezekiahs statement. does something to my brain. i dont know. im so terrified of being buried alive and the statement about the guy being stuck in that box for 4 days freaks me out Utterly but its just. Being crushed is so cool. And it can be used more metaphorically in SUCH INTERESTING WAYS!!! GRAHHH

those are the entities i hold the most tangible feelings on. after this it becomes even MORE nebulous

3) the slaughter: associating music with violence is literally so fucking cool that was such a smart move. i wish there was more canon exploration of things in the vein of grifters bone instead of just. war. but its just SO COOL and how melanie experiences the slaughter is so >{~£]^~*]€~*]£ ITS SO COOL

4) the corruption: bugs freak me out so much in ways i cant describe so this isnt as high up bc i jsut Cant deal with it BUT. Associating love with bugs and rotting on a cosmic scale is so fucking sick. winslow really got me thinking abt the corruption man

5) the stranger: i dont have many thoughts on the stranger this is here because i think the circus and nikola and just the whole plot of season 3 is the best the show ever was and i feel like ive gotta rank it high for my pure enjoyment of that storyline

final tidbits on entity opinions under the cut ^__<

the spiral, eye, desolation, and lonely are cool but they are so overused and often interpreted in ways that just make me mad. youre not a lonely avatar because youre alone you would be taken by the lonely. youre a lonely avatar if you cultivate it. eye avatars arent just curious they are curious to a fault to the point of pain and disaster and destruction. GERRY ISNT A DESOLATION AVATAR BECAUSE HE BURNS THINGS. Their whole purpose is to hurt people as deeply as they can and make them loose everything in the worst way possible. Gerry sweeps up the ashes of a desolation avatar he kills and apologetically hands them to a nurse while covered in burns that should be deadly

i wish i could like the hunt bc its cool conceptually but its too tied to cops for me to like it.

extinction scares me too much. so does the vast kinda and the dark a little. but the darks also boring to me Sorry manuela dominguez 🙏

the end and the web are cool enough but i like their avatars more than the conceptual Entities so they dont score.

not microfiction i'm so sorry i might have put this on twitter but character limit would behead me and i like this site more even if i don't interact with anyone on it i'm so sorry everyone i loveyou all i promise

(trying to) watch/ing witch from mercury rn - or at least i have managed to span the first 10 episodes over like 3 weeks even though i love the animation and story and characters (etc), similarly to how i never finished 20020 or reread 17776 despite loving the series so much and i can't figure out why i don't know if it's media with characters i relate to (or that i just related to in general) which instils this kind of fear of continuing (which doesn't make much sense in terms of 17776/20020 because i liked the characters but didn't really fit one (9 was nice though ily 9) but does fit wfm because i share a lot of traits etc with suletta than i would like)

but at the same time watching witch from mercury definitely IS painful because there are so many things suletta does/that happen to her (though likely not involving big space robots etc unfortunately)

just in the episode i'm up to (s1e10)

elan attempts to convince her that miorine doesn't love her and she's just using her and instead of outright declining his offer for a date she just goes "umm uhh i have to go" which i have this tendency of doing isntead of saying no really often just for kind of everything that might matter even if i have a strong feeling towards it (not trying to write this to make a comment about myself (or suletta) in terms of things like this, but rather if/how connections through things like this is what constitutes my fear for continuing)

and upon finding miorine later, she twists miorine's words in her head to fit the narrative that has been placed in her head by elan to convince herself that she doesn't love her - i am also guilty of doing this/similar just conceptualising an outcome/situation (through someone mentioning it or me just thinking about it) and then just twisting everything to believe it, and spiraling after this case

also in general she's super scared of making people upset etc - she's actually a super unique character (to my white, western mind, anyways, maybe not in japanese media, this is only the second anime i have ever watched) she's very shy but still emotive (which is similar to the only other anime protagonist i know (shinji) but she still does it in a different way and it's less dramatic irony like it is in shinji's case) but she has a bunch of quirks that add to her character like her list of things she wants to do in the special space scchool - but like grahhh i don't hide behind lightposts when i see certain people but i sure wish i could i hate making people mad and all these little struggles that she undertakes hurt a bit because i think i am connected to her character a lot or something idk maybe i just think she's neat and am overthinking this aspect but it doesn't explain my issue with continuing it any better
