There are three kinds of reactions: Mikako is excited at the thought of having another dad cause it means having a bigger family to spend time with, Teruya is actually having none of it cause he's jealous and doesn't want to "lose" his dad, and Yamato is currently bluescreening, come back another time.
The boys do show their support and want their dads to be happy, they're just at different levels of acceptance right now. But hey, at least we get a glimpse of Yamato's redesign! I already drew Teruya's once for his birthday but most of it was covered up due to the pose and the gift box, but it's not like his changed all that much. I'll get into their designs and thought process when making them when I get around to their sprite edits, though.
'I think Karen was someone I first got to talk with normally, not flirting with her or anything sexual, just... talking is what I really needed...'
Date: November 15th, 2011
Hello Teruteru, happy to see your back here again...
Hello to you as well, Karen.
I guess your working on that program again, hm? I wonder if you can fix the wiring of me heart...
...
...
...
...Karen, you realize that was a pick-up line, right?
Oh... it was? Sorry I didn't notice, as say I'm not good at small talk but I see... thank you for telling me...
Right... (So that girl is clueless, well I suppose she isn't use to guys hitting on her.)
Still given your skills as the Ultimate IT Employee; what's that work like?
Well it requires a lot of computer work and adding programming; fixing wires and upgrading software and making computers run faster which usually gets done in a day.
However as say, a lot of companies really do require my services in updating their software and computer tech; I swear it's like as if they got computers from the 90's and it's quite complicated to fix and even their phones are fax machine.
Oh dear... sounds like a lot of companies are behind in the times, huh?
They are, a lot of companies that often have computers that are very out-dated, fax machines and even phone lines despite there being the cellphone.
I often have to tell them to update their computers and phone lines but they don't want to. They think I'm just some kid that doesn't know better... it's frustrating to deal with them.
Well maybe they like how things are run, I mean my family's diner was like that for a decade how we run things...
So are you scared of change?
Huh? Am I... scared of change?
...You don't need to answer if you don't want to, but if you ask me; change can be scary but it can be good as well and can lead to you growing as a person - sometimes if you own a business you'll need to accept that change needs to happen or you'll be left behind.
That's what I think, change to a company doesn't mean more money but if you want success you need to accept change.
I'll... think about it... (I see where Karen is coming from, change is a good thing and if I want the diner to success I'll need to accept changes need to happen.)
ahem ahem ahem (goes through their character sheets and everything)
-Mikako's birthday is the pin for the door at the kisa foundation, IIRC
-Yamato was the first character designed
-Yamato got his hat from his father, Hanzo. So, no, it's not part of kisaragi foundation uniform.
-Hanzo got married early-- like soon after graduating-- and had Yamato. however, he divorced before adopting Mikako.
-Yamato did suspect that his father got involved with the despairs, and thats why he died, but that wasn't why he died.
-While Mikako had her memories the entire game and didn't have to help Akane get out of the state of wanting to off herself, she realized neither she or Yuki had their memories, and was hoping she could keep them from recovering their memories so they could escape with her.
-this is also why she says "The Taira Akane i know is...", because (atleast according to her character sheet) she thinks of Akane when she was the mastermind. this causes her to faint from the side effects of the memory storage device.
-also the reason she pushes Yuki so hard as the culprit in chapter 5 is because she noticed that Monokuma was trying to kill her, and he had already killed her brother- making her the only one who knew the masterminds. It was a difficult decision for her, but she was desperate. (I do wonder how they would disable the memory storage device and the effects if she survived, though.)
-The reason she believed Yamato to be dead is because she saw him get dragged away, and my guess is that he was dragged off in a similar way as mitch was when he(mitch) was going to be executed.
-Mikako's job as an exorcist is actually more of a psychotherapist, because many people who have claimed to see ghosts tend to have mental issues.
that's all i'm going to touch on since a few parts of Mikako's character sheet are linuj being genuinely weird. will reblog this with more updates to their lore after going through DRA and their FTES again!
So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. Today we’re doing another Fanganronpa, Danganronpa Rebirth.
Now as per usual, I need to point out a few things.
This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.
I am aware of RebirthVoices being a thing, and this post is not to besmirch them or their work or effort. This is just a hypothetical cast that Chunsoft would probably hire assuming Rebirth was actually a canon game in the series.
I did the same thing with other fangans in the past, SDRA2 and Blowback. Check those out if you’re interested.
This series ended up becoming a lot more popular than I initially thought, so I’m just gonna keep up the apparent good work. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy my ideas. Or don’t. Your choice.

"Kisaragi you need to decide of weather we approve of this mission or not. It's been in the waits for a good few months now and our partnership with had been nonstop attempting to contact us, only for them to go to voicemail." Tsurugi was sitting next to Yamato's desk, he knew the other wasn't in often but was he really gone that much? There is people relying on him after all.
Yamato almost tuned the other out were it not for the stern look in his eyes, like bullets shooting through his soul at times. What was he even supposed to do again? He blinked for a moment followed by a blank stare at the other. "Uhm… Yeah. I don't see why not, we have the resources by now I believe." What was he even agreeing to? He drifted his gaze away from his… friend, back to his computer.
Tsurugi continued talking about various other topics that had been long overdue for Yamatos approval or denial but all Yamato could do was shrink down into his seat and try to listen. It's his own fault for letting it build up this much but-- They were already backed up even before he became leader again. This time Yamato has focused his attention to the entrance of the room, having met eyes with his sister. He was silently pleading for her to help him. His prayers were answered when Mikako had walked into the room without knocking.
"Tsurugi, are you pestering Yamato again?" She walked over to join the two at Yamatos desk. Promptly putting her stuff on the free seat and sat closest to Tsurugi.
"Pestering? Really? We have a job to do Kurokawa, and if I have to be in here to remind him of his own then I will. We're running an organization and have been since the game occurred. There's a lot to be done regardless who needs what, we can't do any of it without Kisaragi's approval." Tsurugi gave an annoyed glance over at Mikako, he was just doing what needed to be done. That seemed to be all he cared about anymore. Yamato was back, and so things can 'run smoothly' again.
Mikako raised her hand to her face to rub her forehead a bit as she let the other finish speaking. She knew far well what the other meant, but she also knew Hanzo, knew Yamato before any of the others had. That's it! Mikako slammed down her hand on one of the armrests of the chair before looking back at Tsurugi. "How do you know what is truly the best for this foundation? You did not know our father. You do not know what he wished to do with it. You may have rebuilt it but this place is no longer ran as the Kisaragi Foundation that we had known growing up. You have turned it into 'Oh! Let's run this the way I would since I have the best ideas when it comes to group efforts.' In which, you were wrong. I had truly hoped you had improved yourself from the time we were gone with help from Rei and Teruya, but when it comes to running an organization it seems like your true mindset shines through even now!"
The room fell silent, Mikako having to take a moment to catch her breath. Tsurugi couldn't bring himself to come up with some sort of answer. She was partly right…. Even if the other two were helping, he was thinking of how to keep it safe, 'helping others'….. He couldn't even help his own father. He looked at the side of a desk for a moment.
"If you'll excuse me." That was all he could muster before maneuvering his chair to leave Yamato's office.
The two siblings looked at each other with Yamato waiting to make sure Tsurugi had fully left before speaking. "Mikako… You didn't have to do that…" Defended by his own little sister, ouch! He could've stood up for himself! Yet he didn't. He knows he likely wouldn't have either. He wanted them all to be happy together again, even if it meant he had to pretend to know what he's doing.
"If I hadn't, he would've kept piling work on your regardless and then you'd end up spending more months locking yourself away in your workshop making who knows what." She let out a small laugh before standing up from her seat. "Plus, you know dad wouldn't have wanted things this way either."
What ever did happen to the person who was meant to take over anyways…? It wasn't something either of them knew, or were sure they wanted to find out after all those years.
I had finished the traditional drawing in class on Tuesday and had planned to finish shifting it into a digital art version yesterday but I didn't have the time for it even after staying up almost until midnight. It didn't help that I had to work a six hour shift, RIP.
Anyways, I hope you'll like this crackpairing turned serious. They'd be so funny together. They're both dads, they both have goofy vibes, they both run their own business, are on opposite ends of the single dads spectrum (Divorced Dad X Widowed Dad, at least by my headcanons), are doomed by canon, and are both "old." Do you see my vision?
Now I just need to come up with a ship name for them...
Tbh, I always assumed that the reason why Mikako couldn't remember her time in the lab was because she repressed the traumatic memories, especially because I remember something about that, during the escape, Mikako's bio dad fell into a river with her and, when the Kisaragis found her being dragged through it, her bio dad had disappeared (And probably drowned).
So maybe, the combination of being treated as a lab rat by her own bio mom, and almost dying drowned caused her to repress any memory she had from before she was rescued by Hanzo, with any residual memories she still had being slowly buried in her brain as the natural consequence of growing up.
Honestly yeah, i could totally see that being the case + the experiments were on her brain so they could also have left her with some form of damage. Like i was under the impression that it was because of the brain chip that she died in chapter 5, maybe the memory storage stuff caused it to malfunction or something, but i doubt Linuj will ever give a proper explanation to that.
