#I also know this is a pretty niche crossover so I hope I’m not stepping on any toes by making my own versions

Wait I just realized that if you include Sofanthiel, there are a total of nine slugcats. There are also nine TF2 mercs.
I can assign each Merc a different scug.

nobody tagged me but I saw @finnicks do this and felt like annoying the world with my thoughts
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
As of right now, two. But I’ve got a few others in the works that I hope to be posting before December lmao
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
10734 (the rest is in unposted word docs lmao)
3. What are your top 5 2 fics by kudos?
1. plastic crown
2. I'm not your daydream
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
YES! I’m continually amazed by the fact that literally anyone even reads the fics I post let alone comments on them. Especially PC since it’s essential just me venting all my tvd related trauma lmao. I only started writing fic a few moths ago and fully expected nobody to say a word so to recieve such in depth and encouraging feedback has been absolutely amazing.
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
none yet- might update this answer if I ever post one that does but tbh I’m kinda a pussy so it’s unlikely.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
INYD ig? since it’s the only one I’ve actually finished and imo does have an undeniably happy (if open ended) ending. I can promise that Plastic Crown will aswell when I finally get around to finishing it.
7. Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't but I won’t rule it out. If I did it would likely be something way too niche/ self-indulgent and nobody would read it but thats fair.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
not yet but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if a disgruntled salvatore brother stan left one considering I absolutely annihilate them in pretty much all my fics. or if I ever get around to writing for dair, the chck/blair fandom does not know how to act in my experience. (just for the record I have zero issue with people that like the salvatore brothers, they’re hot i get it, it just aint me lmao)
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yes! I haven’t posted it yet but my upcoming fics and future pc chapters both have smut. (considering upping pc to explicit actually)
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that famous, doubt I will be lmao
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
no but if anyone did I think my heart would literally explode
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
no and I doubt I will, my writing style is very messy and.. not unique per se just fucking weird ao I don’t think it’d work.
13. What’s your all time favorite ship?
oooOooo
my number one is probably Elejah, I started shipping them casually as a crackship in 2020 and it just sorta spiralled and now they own my whole ass. There’s just something about both their characters that works on this really base, fundamental level that I don’t think any other tvd ships did. Elijah also represents this sorta... opportunity for autonomy to Elena that I genuinely don’t think any other character did.
I think he has this sorta unconditional respect for her that I find really interesting. Because it can be argued that the salvatore brothers respected Elena sometime, but that respect and kindness came with very clear conditions for her behaviour and feelings (specifically just that she.. not be like Katherine. and any time she stepped even remotely outside that box any respect or kindness from them would completely disappear.) So the way we see Elijah continually show this odd, twisted, respectful affection for her even under insane conditions where Elena has not only stepped outside that “morally perfect, madonna” box but is actively working against him and his family is really refreshing. My favourite example of this is the last time we see them interact in American Gothic. The way the show makes it look like Elijah is going to hurt Elena to save Katherine, threatening the salvatores over the phone, only to reveal her just chilling next to him. And then while she’s on her no humanity shit, basically bullying this 1000 yr old man, he’s just kinda.. humouring her and lowkey flirting. like
“I remember reading that in a letter once.”
“Well the writer sounds positively gifted. I’m sure he meant what he wrote.” with that little fucking smirk and he’s just looking at her kindly. Even when she has no humanity and is completely devoid of all the virtues other characters define her and value her on. idk I just fuck with it.
They’re also hot.
I also really love dair, cheleanor, whouffle, tenrose, vandermarin and haleb (been thinking of writing a mona, caleb, hannah poly fic but I’m literally the only person who wants that)
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
none yet... but there’ll probably be many lets be honest.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I have very strong opinions about like character and areas of it that I think have been neglected by canon. And I think I’m able to communicate them and talk about them in a way people find pretty interesting. I think the fact that all the fics I write are like major passion projects is quite helpful, because so far I always feel pretty fulfilled writing them alone, so the responses, while abasolutely amazing, aren’t necessary for my motivation as a whole.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
PLOT. A drawback of the whole “character study” thing is that I start there and kinda intent to find the plot as I go. which is harder than I thought.
is it not enough to just have character breakdowns and vibes?
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I respect anyone that tries but it’s unlikely I ever will.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
tvd
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
right now, plastic crown.
Okay this got super long but I had alot of fun writing it even if it was completely unprompted. I nominate @missnmikealson and @alllwritenow plus anyone else that see’s this. If you read all of this I love you lmao ty 💖

MAJOR. FREAKING. SPOILERS
Seriously do not @ me if you don’t want to know. Just skip this one... cause we got some big news!!!!
I honestly don’t like the paparazzi, but I am so friggin happy it is obliterating my intense dislike for these people. Crossover filming has started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The train is pulling in to the station!
Tumblr media
CROSSOVER BABY.
Tumblr media
As for the funeral it is not an Arrow death. Cool. Back to joy.
Tumblr media
In all seriousness, I think the fandom has been prepared for this for awhile. David has been talking about weddings at HVFFs since June.  I certainly have been be prepared given my daughter’s interaction with Stephen back in HVFF Nashville.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Marc was just a little too keen to get me OFF the crossover track in our convo at SDCC. Yes paps have been wrong before, but normally when they are this pissed off they are not. I think Canadagraphs is weeping right now.
So listen y’all... IMMA GONNA BUY DRESS AND PUT ON SOME HEELS FOR THE BIG EVENT.
Tumblr media
So how do I feel about a crossover wedding. If my LIT AF attitude was confusing at all I’m 100% cool with it. Is it ideal? I mean... eh.
Tumblr media
I wanted a crossover wedding since well... friggin 4x08.  Did I get it in 5x08?
Tumblr media
No sir. I did not.
Tumblr media
(That aside I really did love 5x08) Now I am getting my crossover wedding.
Tumblr media
Downside? We have to share the spotlight with W&stallen.
Tumblr media
Now, I do like W&stallen. Quite frankly B&rry has been ticking me off since the end of Season 2 and I think Ir*s deserves better, but whatever. Somewhere in those sentences is a yeah vote for W&stallen. Y’all can sleuth it out. I’m like 40/60 in favor right now. Maybe B&rry will shape up in time to rocket that number up.
Tumblr media
Now, I will own my hissy fit. I had hissy fit over this poster.
Tumblr media
B&RRY IS ON IT THREE TIMES AND WE COULDN’T FIT A SINGLE NON MASKED HERO ON IT?
Tumblr media
Obviously Diggle & Felicity yes, but how about Alex or Wynn and... other people. Yes, I know the marketing slant was comic book characters only, but the Arrowverse is bigger than the masked characters. A little equal representation would have been nice. (Side note: Diggle & Felicity are actually comic book characters and Diggle wears a mask but that’s just details). Honestly, I can’t project rage now because
Tumblr media
Had I blogged about this earlier you would have felt the rage. But as my girl @callistawolf said, “It is the red herring to end all red herrings.” I feel this particular ad targets a certain segment of the viewing population. That viewing population is not 100% represented by me. That’s okay. It don’t gotta be about me all the time. I can be a giver. I am so absolutely chill. Hissy fit notwithstanding.
Tumblr media
But my disappointment was that W&stallen was getting a lot of the wedding promotion I had hoped Olicity would receive. Petty? Sure. I’m okay with it.
Tumblr media
Sometimes I feel like the CW promotional department treats Arrow like the red headed step child and it annoys me from time to time. Overall, I stopped caring about promotion when we hit year 5 because it’s an older show. I don’t think the network is going to invest too much more money into Arrow.
Tumblr media
Enough of that. Here’s what’s GLORIOUS. They let the cat out of the bag over the W&stallen wedding. They didn’t to try to hide it. But the big HUGE surprise in the crossover isn’t that W&stallen is getting married.
It’s that Olicity is getting married.
Tumblr media
W*STALLEN IS THE DIVERSION. Also, yes they will get married so yippee!!!
Tumblr media
but also DIVERSION!
Tumblr media
So all the press the next day will be talking about the Olicity wedding. They will already have done song and dance on the W&stallen wedding prior to the show airing. Olicity will have the buzz post episode. W&stallen gets the buzz pre episode. Alright, W*stallen will get some buzz post ep too. Who are we kidding? And that’s fine. True, it’s not my picture perfect promotional windfall but I’ll take it. I’m just happy my babies will get SOME BUZZ at SOME POINT in this process. It wasn’t looking good based on that poster y’all.
Tumblr media
I also think that it speaks to Olicity’s popularity that they will be the big surprise of the crossover. Or one of. I’m sure there will be more. Keep in mind we’re a niche market folks. There’s only so many of us deeply obsessed Arrow fans out there. Most of the general viewing audience will be surprised.
Do I think each couple deserves their separate episode and time in the sun? Absolutely. But logistically speaking this makes sense. All the same people would go to both weddings, so this avoids the whole “Why didn’t B&rry go to Oliver’s wedding?” and “Why isn’t Felicity at Ir*s’ wedding?” or “How come all the characters went to W&stallen’s wedding but not Olicity’s?” and on and on. We were never going to get crossover casts outside the crossover episodes. If they wanted to celebrate these events within the Arrowverse then crossover weddings it is. End of story.
I enjoy the crossovers. I like the mix of chemistries, watching different characters interact, the humor, action, etc. Some years are better than others but overall I am entertained. It also helps that I watch all four shows. I certainly understand the frustration of those who do not. However, from a story perspective these characters all love each other.  Mostly. They would want to be there for both Oliver & Felicity’s and B*rry & I*ris’ big day.
Frankly, if W&stallen gets a crossover wedding then I sure as hell want Olicity to have one to. That’s just me. You don’t have agree, but for the show that launched this universe I feel this couple claimed this event long ago.
Tumblr media
I can understand the writers wanting to give each Arrowverse supercouple equal footing and I can deal, but my OTP needs to be part of that equal footing. Promotion aside, this is a pretty diplomatic way of handling both major events. Other than the ideal of separate episodes on their own shows.
Also, it makes the fanboys angry.
Tumblr media
We know the WHEN. We do not know how or where this will all take place. Well... other than it happening in Legends of Tomorrow (which is purely speculative. Nothing concrete).
Tumblr media
If it happens on LOT that also makes sense. I agree with the “save the best for last” mentality - everyone will continue watching the crossover until the end. Legends is neutral territory. It’s the Camp David of the Arrowverse. W&stallen doesn’t get married on The Fl*sh and Olicity doesn’t get married on Arrow. We’re all equally screwed over in that respect. Smeh.
How this all comes together will be the surprise, one that I am really looking forward to and will do my utmost to remain unspoiled. But this all gives us something to look forward to and a big, fat reason to watch the crossovers. At the end of the day, this has been a very long road for Olicity. They’ve earned this step.
Tumblr media
What I want more than anything is it for it to be LEGAL. Sign the paperwork. Let’s get it done.
Tumblr media
Are there going to be people missing? Yes. Will it be everything our fanfiction minds have imagined? No. It’s Arrow. They’ll put a twist on it, but in general it’s the scenes I couldn’t have imagined that I always love the most with this couple. So I can handle that it’s not happening exactly the way I expected. Part of the fun of Olicity is the unexpected. I’m just looking forward to celebrating this milestone for our favorite couple with you fine folks. We have earned this moment too. Time to have some fun and get boozy.
Tumblr media
Also, I will be in San Jose with my girl @callistawolf celebrating with Stephen and Emily post nuptials. LIFE IS AWESOME.

@Station19 Season 3 Review #Station19
I have just finished watching the third season of ABC's Station 19 and holy crap it was...WOW!
The third season of Station 19 really kicks off like an adrenaline rush as the season kicks off with the crossover with Grey's Anatomy. From the start of the season, you could tell that the tone had shifted just a bit with the focus on character background and development that really took a step back from the soapy dramedy to a realistic drama.
The season really put a strong focus on the characters. While you can pick a name out of a hat and say, "yeah they really had some outstanding moments that season." It's so had to choose what really stood out and what didn't when it comes to who performed better because this ensemble cast works perfectly.
Whether it's Miller trying to connect with his parents and learning to be a father. Travis helping a rookie make the hardest decision of their lives. Maya taking the captain's position over Andy while also in denial that her father was verbally abusive.
Gibson still dealing with PTSD, sleeping with a firefighter's wife that soon ended in disaster but found his outcome. Warren finding his niche with a surgical recuse service. And Andy finding love, suffering loss, and a surprise reunion. All while Sullivan deals with more pain issues and station deals with dirty politics.
If there was one issue that I had it was the development of the character Rigo Vasquez, who while at the start of the season joking around with the station crew, it already felt that he was going to be one seasonal character after learning that Gibson and Vasquez's wife had a couple of affairs and dying from a rocket explosion while one call.
There were a lot of episodes that I really enjoyed from "Indoor Fireworks," and "Eulogy;" to "Into the Woods," "Ice, Ice Baby," "Born to Run," "Something About What Happens After You Talk, "I'll Be Seeing You" and "Dream a Little Dream of Me" were some of my favorite episodes of Season 3, just to name a few.
I'm pretty much going to make Station 19 one of my regular viewings this season. From where the show left off and where we are in right now, I really would love to see where this will be going. We know that the season four premiere will kick off the crossover with Grey's Anatomy so we got that going. While the first three seasons were less than 20 episodes, I hope we get a lot more down the road (maybe not this television season, though).
Overall, I give Season Three of Station 19 a 9.5/10.
What did you think of Season Three? What were your favorite moments? Are you looking forward to season four? Leave a comment down below and tell us your thoughts!
You can follow us on Twitter at @SueboohsCorner or @abaker20.
You can catch Station 19 new season Thursday, Nov. 12. Episodes are available on ABC.com and Hulu.

DEATH ANGEL
Interview with Dennis Pepa by Daniel Hinds
(conducted April 2004)
The boundless energy that defined the thrash metal movement of the 80s was perhaps most evident in the Bay Area's most vibrant and innovative act, the Filipino five-piece known as Death Angel.   This is a band that is just at ease letting loose with a fast thrasher one moment and a somber acoustic number the next.  After a decade absence from the scene, the band reunited (minus original guitarist Gus Pepa) for the Thrash of the Titans show in 2001, a benefit for Testament's Chuck Billy and his cancer treatment.  That went so well, they quickly booked several local and European shows and proceeded to record a new album, The Art of Dying, which effortlessly combines everything the band has done before and incorporates several new elements as well.  Bassist Dennis Pepa brings us up to date with unique outfit… You've always had slightly unusual album titles - how did The Art of Dying come about? It actually came up from Andy watching a Bruce Lee video, a documentary on TV.  I think it was part of an old Bruce Lee proverb and Andy just brought it to us one day and it was definitely on the list on the wall of what album title we were going to use.  After analyzing everything to death (laughs), we thought that would make total sense to put that on the album. Do you have a deeper meaning that you've ascribed to it? Some people look at it and are like, 'Well, you guys are coming back, shouldn't it be The Art of Living?'  But if you look at it one way, yeah, but then the way we look at the title, it is the art of dying - not the art of death, it's what you do before you die, you actually live your life.  So it's kind of a rebirth title, it's got a twist to it.  We didn't want to make it that simple. The production has a pretty raw feel to it - were you setting out to avoid getting too polished a sound on this one? Definitely.  Out of all the Death Angel albums, we try to do that for each one of them, because we've always liked the live feel and we feel we are more of a live band than a studio band.  Brian Dobbs somehow captured it this time - he just turned the right knob and used the right mics and our chemistries just gelled as far as what the goal was.  To me, it's our best production just because he did capture that live feel with a clarity - I mean, you can hear every single instrument on there.  Again, we were trying to do stay away from what everybody else is doing, as far as production nowadays.  The whole Death Angel, just use somebody not too many people are using, take a different path. Can you describe the general songwriting process in Death Angel?  Is it any different from the early days? I think it has actually changed to where more of us are contributing a lot more to each song and there's definitely more input throughout the band.  Rob is still the total main writer of the band, he probably wrote I'd say 75% of the music, but we definitely all have say in it now.  It's cool because we don't take just one formula and write that way.  Sometimes, somebody will come to practice with a whole song written, sometimes we'll all write a song in one go, and sometimes we'll give each other a riff and somebody will add to it.  Each song was written differently, there's not really one formula to it.  I think the break we had was really good as far as our musicianship and respecting what each other does. The arrangements on all of your songs seem very meticulous, very well planned out.  Is that stuff all nailed down before you enter the studio? Yeah, pretty much.  We try to nail that down during pre-production, just demoing and demoing a song.  Nowadays, you can do that in your own studio because technology.  Rearranging songs and playing with how things fall after each thing.  I think that is definitely one of our strong points as far as writing.
I know you did some touring before you recorded this album - did you get a chance to try out any of these songs live before you recorded them? We started playing "Prophecy" and "Five Steps of Freedom" during the earlier legs of the last tours, just because those were the two newest songs to us so we just started playing them live.  We just wanted to see what the response would be and it was pretty cool, people really embraced them.  Aside from that, we didn't really play any of the other songs, we kind of wanted to keep it hidden. I read something about re-issues coming out on Rykodisc. What's happening is The Ultra-Violence is being remastered and the bonus tracks on that are the Kill As One demo, produced by Kirk [Hammett], and that's also remastered.  Frolic is getting remastered and three unreleased Death Angels songs are on that, from that era, and a third CD is coming out that is called Rarities.  It's twelve songs that Death Angel never released.  Some of them are demo versions, some are studio versions, some of them are live garage tapes, but it's going to add up to a new album for us.  It was all recorded in the 80s and it's all songs that were never on any of the three albums.  It's more of a hardcore fan CD versus somebody who wants to pick up a Death Angel album, because it's older stuff and not the greatest produced stuff, but it's songs that we've never released and quite a few people out there know some of these songs from back in the day.  They asked us why we never released them, so now is the chance to go out and buy it.  All three CDs will also come in a box set which will include a DVD which has old interviews with us and I think our older videos, from the first two albums.  As far as Act III goes, nothing is really moving on it yet.  I think what's going to happen is I think Geffen has it right now and they're going to hold onto it until the new album launches and they see what the numbers are.  I'm crossing my fingers, I hope they reissue it. Do you think you'll ever have a proper live album released someday? It's one of those things where we just need to be in the right place of this new career of ours.  We don't want to rush into it and do a half-assed job, we definitely want to plan it out and do it right.  We actually want to do a DVD version of it, too, so we'll probably release the live album as well as the DVD and the DVD will probably have more of the whole concert versus the album.  We're hoping to do that within the next two years. When the band split back in the early 90s, was that a difficult decision to make or was it pretty obvious by that point that something needed to change? Yes and no.  With all the shit we were going through, it wasn't too hard and we just wanted to walk away from it.  But then again, there was all the work that we did as well, so it was both.  I think it was actually easier than not because we wanted it to end and move on.  That's why right after that we started The Organization. When you reformed for the Thrash of the Titans show, was it thought to be just a one-off thing? Definitely, the whole thing was for Chuck and his cause and we only rehearsed two days before that because we thought it was just going to be a one-off   From the audience feedback and people telling us we stole the show and just the way it made us feel on stage, a few months later we re-established the band and announced it officially. Do you get a lot of younger fans coming to the shows? We're starting to.  I mean we definitely want to hit the younger audience, that's always the prime market, but we want to do it with the right bands.  We don't want to go out with any of these commercial nu-metal bands - we want to keep it at a level where it is respectable to us, too.  About four months ago we played a show with The Deftones in Sacramento and the kids went crazy and their whole audience is like 12 to late 20s.  I walked around after our set and all these kids were amazed, they didn't know who we were, they had never seen anything like us.  We pretty much sold out of our merchandise and the Deftones guys were like, 'Man, nobody ever sells merch like that!' (laughs)  I definitely think we have a niche in that market, we just need to be exposed to it.  I think if we did like the Vans Warped tour, that would be perfect. You guys did a video recently? Yeah, for "Thicker Than Blood."  It turned out really good.  We filmed it in an abandoned train station in Oakland.  Hopefully you'll see it on MTV. Death Angel has always drawn on more than just thrash metal, but what are your thoughts on the genre and its resurgence in recent years? To be honest, until we got back together three years ago, I really didn't pay attention to it.  Like I said, I listen to punk rock and that's really my scene.  I would now and then go see a metal band, but until we got back together, I didn't really know what was going on in the whole metal scene.  I just knew that these bands were commercial sounding and they were on the radio and was kind of disgusted by it.  Everybody was tuning down and playing three chords, everybody wanted to be crossover rap kinda metal thing.  It lasted for over ten years but I think it's starting to crumble now, it just seems like so many people are tired of it that nu-metal is just like old-metal or used-metal, whatever you want to call it - it's just not hip anymore.  I think thrash metal is definitely on an upswing and has the potential to be really huge this time.
