I love all the little details in In Stars and Time so much

(Just as a note, I am currently in (the beginning? of) act 3)

The way that after a few loops the excited "It's my allies!" turns into a less enthusiastic "It's my allies." (And I think it used to be "it's my friends!" but I'm not entirely sure)

The first time Siffrin knocks into the counter and gets embarrassed, and then another (the next?) time it's frustrated, and then playful, and then frustrated again but this time refusing to show it.

The little remarks that become "..." in later loops

I'm pretty sure the descriptions of the deaths got a little more graphic? I think when he slipped on the banana peel it said that he tripped or that he fell. In a later loop it said something about cracking their head open on a rock or something.

Their wish for victory became a wish for rest

It's just so interesting to me. For some reason, this game almost makes me feel like I'm reading a book. But also not really? I think it's because of how the details are laid out. My favorite stories to read have almost always been the ones that I can pick apart, and this game is very much like that.

gestures wildly. it's about crafting a legend out of a living person. how the Ghost is something your friend made up on the spot to make you look cool, but then it slowly starts taking over your life. until you forget everything you believed to be true. until everyone you loved is gone. your clan is disbanded, your uncle disowns you, you have gone from a honorable nobleman to a wanted outlaw. for the fanfiction tropes: hanahaki, timeloops, and modern aus!

hanahaki: C. surprisingly, i'm indifferent. which is odd based on how much i talk and write about it. it definitely varies from fic to fic, and how the author handles it. if its generic hanahaki than im not the biggest fan, it can be boring at times. but if the author adds their own twist to the story, or to the disease itself, or whatever to make it different from others and to spice it up, then im in :)

time loops: A. OOHHHH YEAH THIS. THIS IS THE GOOD SHIT. time loops are so fucking good!! i wish i could write them as well as others do!! its the angst, the repetition, the overwhelming feeling of helplessness, anger and sadness--it all mixes in and makes something beautiful. i really love the idea of repeating things, whether or not they even have some sort of important meaning, or maybe its just something dumb and stupid and meaningless that drills into the main characters head. its about trying to escape but being trapped in this hell. its about possibly getting out and crying and feeling so relieved. its about possibly being stuck there for the rest of eternity, cursed to forever live the same day. its about the interactions with other characters, and how to them its just a normal day but the main character knows better. its about how hollow they become. its about how they've changed so much and no one knows or understands why. its about the journey that no one will ever know about--the journey that might not ever end. I'm actually planning out a fe3h timeloop rn! it's gonna be quite long (i want it to be 10k at the very least, probably longer though), but i don't work on it as often as i should. i keep getting distracted by other things to write lol (which btw is a sylvix fic based on this song (which i am very much obsessed with yes, i have like three different versions i listen to) so if you wanna know what happens feel free to give a listen <3) also also, if you know any good timeloop fics for any fandom please send them my way and i will forever be grateful and shall worship the land you walk on please and thank you <33

modern aus: D. for modern AUs, my mind immediately goes to a fe3h modern au, mainly because that's the only fandom i'm really in that would be applied to it. i'm honestly not the biggest fan of it tbh. the only times i would read it would be for comedy/crack fics i think. but in general i prefer reading things in the canon world, so i don't really care for modern au, i dont spend a lot of time on them

Oh yes, absolutely. She was raised in a very militaristic society where the aasimar were trained as paladins and fighters and clerics to serve their god, Omen. She can use most weapons decently, but has a preference for polearms, especially glaives. Most recently she’s been wielding a magic scythe she got from the last dungeon the party conquered.

Anya uses she/her pronouns! She’s a trans woman and a lesbian, who presents more on the butch side.

Right now? Help the party destroy the world’s two most powerful (and horrible) gods, Omen and Char’gothikon. Omen was once seen as the good god until Anya found out that Omen created Anya’s best friend (and PC played by @/haaawaiianshirt) as a sort of sacrificial lamb, the Divine Flame. Delilah was meant to be sacrificed to stop Omen’s rival, the evil god Char’gothikon, from rising to power. Unfortunately, Char’gothikon’s forces burned the city before this could happen, and Anya joined their ranks—where she was brainwashed and manipulated for the next decade. Char’gothikon is no good either, he wants chaos and destruction—but Anya was still a child when she was taken from her home by them. Side note, her leaving Omen is also why she became a fallen aasimar!!

Outside of that, she doesn’t have any future goals for herself yet. For the last ten years she was brainwashed to hunt down and kill Delilah and has only fairly recently been going against that. She’s kind of lost on what she’s supposed to do now. I imagine she’ll probably just become a traveling mercenary/healer for a while and then settle down somewhere isolated and start a little farm or something—if she survives the final confrontation with the gods.
