i’ve loved reading your hc’s so far (the pocoyo pfp makes it so much better) 🫶 and i was wondering if you’d be willing to provide your opinion on what fred may think of tubbo after all this. like, when (well, hopefully it’s when) tubbo rescues fred, and fred finds out the immoral hoops tubbo may have jumped through to get them back, how do you think that’ll affect their relationship?

To be honest, in both of my hc, *when* Fred finally saved, the bear will probably act like when qbagi told Fred that qtubbo likes Fred; Denial. Shame on the bear that it was only a river in Egypt.

Like, Fred has corrupted the boy. He was now as involved with the federation like the bear is. But, Fred can't shake the feeling of being loved too. It was a declaration of WA02...no. it was a declaration that Fred is a person. And they was loved, even after basically admitting that they wasn't a good person. And to know someone would do so far, not in the name of work, shaky friendship, but love?

Damn, baby, the sweet feelings.

They're gonna be such a couple, I can feel it.

In other note though, bc I want to; in qtubbo resident troublemaker hc, I kinda visualise Fred would be trying to step back after the bear was saved, since now it was clear that their position was different; Fred is a worker and qtubbo is one of federation important people. There would be some misunderstanding like 'If I was tasked to do this bad thing,... Is it possible that qtubbo knows about it too? Or maybe he was the one who ordered it?'

In that hc, its gonna be as sweet, since basically federation had a person to keep qtubbo in check, while qtubbo abuses his newfound authority to just date Fred and teach them to be a person.

And since the cucuricho(?) AI thing came out, I wonder what if the AI sees qtubbo and just say "Welcome back Tubbo, we are delighted to see you back. Your room at the federation had been collecting dust, we love if you moved back in again" in front of everyone at spawn

And to make it fun make it that Cucurucho were there and the bear said "What?" And cue all of them realising that qtubbo had a higher rank than Cucurucho and technically, doesn't it means that Cucurucho need to answer qtubbo truthfully on everything the 19 year old would ask?

Which generation had the best kids shows?

oooh it's a tough one between the nostalgia I have for the stuff I watched as a kid Vs I actually genuinely enjoyed watching a lot of the stuff that was on when my youngest sibling was wee. They seemed to be more self aware that adults would be watching too and put in some jokes aimed at them. Then again maybe Oakie Doke and The Tweenies had that too when I was wee but it doesn't really fit their style.

I'm a big fan of the very british dry narration of Peppa pig and another show that I think was by the same people called Ben and Holly's little Kingdom, it had good comic timing. Ooh also I liked a lot of the educational stuff like Little Einsteins was pretty fun and had catchy songs.

The stuff that was around when my brother was small was terrible, at least there were reruns of slightly older stuff but things like Booba and Pocoyo and the hoobs all sucked. I despised Big Cook Little Cook with a passion..

so yeah I'm gonna say the stuff that was around when youngest sibling was wee is my favourite, for reference they're 17 now so it's stuff from like 5-10 years ago, but that might be a combo of factors making me have recency bias

What naming advice would you give to non-Mexican ppl wanting to make Mexican ocs? Are there any sites that are actually accurate with definitions (and that maybe provides pronunciations)? I'm so so so suspicious of baby name sites lol

the best thing to do is to always go to the source! ask mexican people! make friends! there’s also distinct culture differences between chicanos (mexican americans based in Cali/LA) and mexicans who still live in mexico, and those who travel from both places, those who left Mexico when they were very young, and those who came at different periods in their life and also tejanos! So its important to make those distinctions as well! 

There is also this really cool blog called @writingwithcolor that is immensely helpful in aiding people with writing diversity and steering away from bad stereotypes!

 Like people will tell you the most common name for Mexican people is Juan or some other stereotype, but really it would be anything a Mexican mom finds super holy like Jesus, Jose, Maria, Miguel Angel, David, Eva, any other bible character, etc. something Nahuatl in origin, Itzel, Xochitl, etc. Or just a common name passed down between the family.

 Not to mention we usually have more than one name! Our nicknames! Nicknames are very important to us! No one in my family calls me by my deadname, (ironic i know) it’s always Guera, Lupis, Lupita, Lupe, Guerita, etc. Some other nicknames that we use in my family are, Chuy (usually means their name is Jesus), Morena (opposite of Guera), Ojos de {insert noun}, Chachalaco, Cacha, Pocoyo, and many many more! These often depend on a defining characteristic of the person. Nicknames are like a badge of honor? We usually call each other by them instead of their actual given name! Like my Padrino Chachalaco, this means someone who is somewhat talkative, chatty and very outgoing, and that’s exactly what he is! He’s like the class clown but like 40 yrs old lol.

Some of my family still lives and works in Mexico but I can only really share me and my families experience! But ye!
