HELP idk but i titled this after the taylor swift song cs ngl it lines up SO well with the gmg arc..

anyways we alr know who its for 🤭🤭 (LAXUS DREYAR‼️‼️) during the gmg where reader in one mermaid heel n opposing until she sees him?? prob js an extension of my right where you left me oneshot!

everything has changed, laxus is back. she has a reason to smile again, but still, her guild was competing with his. she love him, but she hated losing. despite that though, she had her doubts, should she drop the games? should she try to purposefully lose? winning this would be huge for him and his guild, and it would make them forgive him, right? so wouldn't it be worth it for her to take a loss for him?

she was dragged out of her thoughts when she walked straight into a brick wall, stumbling backwards.

someone had grabbed her, stabilizing her.

"ma'am? are you alright?" mumbled a man as he kneeled by her, sting from sabertooth. a blush grew on her face as she realized.

"oi! isnt that the girl from mermaid heel? the super strong on?" said a voice from next to sting.

"i'm fine.. thank you. i must get going though." she replied, flustered as she ran off into the crowd.

"hey! i dont even know your name yet .. oi! lady you dropped your hairclip!" sting called out after her, as she disappeared.

she entered the stadiums and walked over to the stands where her guild was situated.

"oh! y/n, you're in a much better mood today!" kagura exclaimed.

"some things happened.." she muttered with a huge grin on her face.

"oooh, was it boy things?" risley asked, with a giggle.

"oh! y/n, its about time you've gotten a man in your life!" kagura continued.

"oh? did y/n finally find someone?" arana asked, a smile curling up her lips.

"no! its not like-" she squeaked, flustered, before milliana chimed in.

"who is it? is he cute? like a cat?" she asked, as all 5 of started giggling.

chapati began to announce the games for the day, hidden, and some fight afterwards.

"oi, could i play in today event?" y/n asked, still giddy.

"you're gonna be in the arena losing us points 'cause you're too busy giggling about your boyfriends," risley joked, as kagura shook her head.

"yes, you may participate." kagura said in a stern tone.

as she walked into the arena, she saw grey fullbuster - an ice mage, juvia lockser - a water mage, and rufus lore - a memory mage? 3 recognizable faces and 2 vaguely familiar ones - lyon vastis, and eve tearm. one ice mage, one snow mage.

nullpudding and jager were her main concerns, unsure of what magic they used.

a city formed behind them as mato explained the rules, saying it was a kind of hide and seek.

her lips curled into a smile as they were all teleported around the arena, and had to make a choice of where to hide.

but instead, she decided to not hide, but instead to actively hunt members of other guilds. it was easy with her magic, the magic of bones, they spoke to her, revealing locations, and once that happened, she could strike them down with one hit.

the points were easy to rack up.

one from eve. one from juvia. one from nullpudidng. one from jager. none of them were able to react fast enough to counter the information she already had, she slinked through the shadows, striking them down one by one until it was her versus rufus for 1st place.

she knew his magic, memory make. it didn't necessarily work to duplicate hers, as it was something she was born with and not something learnable.

as the games timer ended, rufus's meteor shower had racked up loads of points, but still - only one more than her. as she realized what she had to do, she shot out of the shadows, dashing at him, but ss her fist connected, the clock rang zero, and time was up - she didn't get the last point needed to win.

meanwhile!

"whoever goes up against her's gonna have hell to pay.." laxus chuckled, watching the event.

"what do you mean by that, laxus?" mirajane asked, a little confused.

"shes probably the strongest mage in this whole damn stadium." laxus recalled, he remembered how strong she was before, but now? 7 years of training, 7 of experience, no one stood a chance.

"can't be so sure, sparky.. she doesn't look very strong, 'm sure i could beat her." gajeel laughed, a mouth full of metal.

laxus just scoffed, knowing they would be forced to realize at some point.

however, it didnt seem to be them who would have to realize, as his name was called into the arena to verse her.

"good luck, laxus!" mira exclaimed as he walked into the arena.

"hey!" y/n said, as they were now facing each other in the arena.

she walked closer to him, before embracing him into a hug that he gladly reciprocated, and pressing a deep kiss to his lips.

with her arms around his neck, she was kissing all over his face, before telling him, "just like how it was when we used to train together, ok? nothing too much.."

"crowd seems interested." laxus noted, their response to her kisses on his face consisted of booing, probably directed at laxus.

her guild was going beserk, with the girls in the stands shrieking and cheering, as his seemed to be freaking out, with his frandfather passed out on the floor and natsus jaw hanging slightly open.

"oi, no bone stuff right?" laxus called out, as they both backed up, only to receive a no in response. "good girl," he laughed as she lit up bright up, her hands covering her mouth as she shook her head no.

eventually they did get to the fighting part, but it was just an extended spar, nothing too special about it, until she requipped into a swimsuit and flooded the arena.

"you're gonna get electrocuted, sweetheart," laxus chuckled, seeing her stunt to end the fight.

"'ts been going on for too long.." she laughed, before splashing some water at him.

"oh yea? so you give the points to me instead of letting it draw?" he teased, a smile on his face.

"exactly!" she smiled, "i'm tired."

"come take a nap in my room," he offered.

"hey laxus.." she laughed, "how about.. we hug, and you strike us both with lightning to see who lasts the longest?"

"it's gonna be me." he said, unwilling to lose this. "come here."

"take off your shirt." she mumbled, as she hugged his chest.

lightning struck around them, buzzing in the water, hitting both their bodies, it went on for a minute or two, until y/n went limp.

laxus picked up her body, making sure there was a pulse, before holding it above his head, demonstrating his clear victory, and to get her out of the water.

SessKagu Week Day 4: College/Childhood Friends to Lovers

“Oi, Sesshomaru!”

Kagura’s voice echoes around the entire street, causing several co-eds by the late-night bus stop to look in their direction. Gritting his teeth, Sesshomaru jerks to a stop under a streetlight. At this rate, the entire damn campus will know his name…

Kagura cuts through a dark clump of bushes to where he stands like a lighthouse on the sidewalk. Scuffed shoes dangle from one hand; the other slings her purse in a wide arc, until it collides with his hip.

“Not everyone has long legs like you, asshole!”

“Not everyone takes forever to print their notes, witch.”

Her nostrils flare. “I do one silly middle-school play, and you still wanna call me that?”

“Correct.”

Rolling her eyes, Kagura slides her purse back up onto her shoulder. Sesshomaru’s eyes zero in on the smile hidden in the corner of her mouth. “Whatever. You’re still dumb for walking ahead - can’t get in on your own, can you?”

She jogs past him to the front of the dorm. And, as he has for the past eleven years, Sesshomaru gives in and follows her.

In order to sneak male friends, boyfriends, and fiancés into their rooms, the girls of the dorm’s junior-year block have developed a foolproof routine to get around residential staff. Within minutes of Kagura texting the group chat, Sesshomaru watches the old woman who staffs the front desk at night race for the elevator. Five seconds later, a ponytailed girl bursts out of the emergency staircase to unlock the door for them.

“Kikyo and Kagome are staging a fight. Neither one’s going to risk a sanction to make it physical, though, so you better hurry.”

It may simply be his imagination, but Sesshomaru thinks she’s smirking at him as they go past.

As usual, Kagura’s roommate is nowhere to be seen. Sesshomaru takes his shoes off to place by the door, out of habit; Kagura’s already barefoot and throws her own in a corner. Faint bursts of laughter sound from the room on the other side of the wall. He wonders if tonight, the girls snuck alcohol in too.

While Kagura goes into the adjoining bathroom to wash her face, Sesshomaru pulls down the blinds. There’s a pile of textbooks from her bed; he moves them to the floor.

The books are for her Risk Management class, the same one she had to print the paper for tonight; he’d accompanied her to the library to do just that. It’s already been a long week, but instead of just finishing what she needed to, Kagura started an argument with Rengukoki about…who even knows what.

Sesshomaru feels like he’s spent half of his life watching her fight somebody.

They’re both eight. He stands silent, as she pushes Menōmaru down into the dirt. The moth demon has been bothering him all day - “how come you don’t have a dad anymore?” Sesshomaru’s mother instructs to ignore weaker people, so that is what he does. But this tiny girl, shaking Menōmaru by the shoulders, clearly has been taught something else.

“Leave him alone!”

They’re thirteen, and his little brother Inuyasha is eleven. He tugs on his arm and whines that he wants to go home; but Sesshomaru shrugs him off and rings the doorbell to Kagura’s house again. Through the door, he can hear her and her father’s voices. They’re screaming at each other; something shatters. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Inuyasha’s puppy ears prick sharply in fear.

Suddenly the door flies open, and Kagura comes racing out. There’s blood on her chest, right where the heart is.

She grabs each of them by the arm and leaps off the porch.

“Run, you morons!”

They’re seventeen, and the weight of college entrance exams presses heavy on their shoulders. He’s in the library studying again when Hojo from the other class runs up to his table.

“Sesshomaru, come quick! It’s Kagura again!“

He doesn’t have to know who the other girl is, or what causes the fight. Sesshomaru pushes through the crowd of jeering classmates to haul Kagura off of the other student. This time, flailing fists catch him in the chin; but he doesn’t worry about that until he’s found a quiet place to wipe the blood off her hands.

“I have an extra face mask, do you want one?”

“No.”

“Suit yourself.”

He busies himself by putting her tossed-to-the-side shoes and purse back in her side of the dorm closet. A few minutes later, Kagura comes back into the room to flop down on the bed with a sigh. One arm swings out dramatically to point at his chest.

“Come lie down with me.”

“I should get back soon. Jaken never remembers his key.”

“Come on.” Her fingers squeeze open and shut, like she’s crushing his heart in her fist. “Fifteen minutes.”

Sesshomaru slides both hands into his pockets; the edges of his claws catch the fabric. He will have to ask her to file them down again, even though it’s only been a few days since the last time.

“Move over, then.”

Sesshomaru ends up flat on his back, staring at her ceiling. The mattress buckles slightly in the middle, forcing them even closer together. Kagura has his left hand trapped in her grip. One fingernail traces his lifeline, as she pretends to read his fortune.

“That mask makes you look like a ghost,” he mutters.

“Maybe I am a ghost,” she hums. “And our souls are tied together. That would explain why I hang out with you when no one else will.”

“I won’t stay if you talk like that.”

“See, that’s why you have no friends. You can’t take a joke.”

He starts to get up. Though having an incredibly small social circle doesn’t actually bother him (and if she really wanted to be cruel then she would know exactly what to say), Sesshomaru gives her too much leeway as it is to not at least pretend to be annoyed. With a laugh, Kagura presses his arm to her chest.

“Don’t go, I didn’t mean it! Sesshomaru!”

She always laughs at him, no matter whether Sesshomaru’s actually mad or just reminding her that actions have consequences. Eyes sparkling, she starts stroking his head like he’s a small pet; Sesshomaru’s growl is met with a fond roll of her eyes. “Oh, yes, you’re very scary…”

He tugs his arm away, but does settle back onto the bed. If he rolls onto his side, she won’t be able to look at his palm anymore. (And he won’t have to wonder about what actually holding her hand would feel like.)

Kagura peels the paper mask from her face and tosses it across the room into her roommate’s wastebasket. The bed creaks. When she lies back against the blankets, there’s hardly a hand-width of space left between them.

Which is actually worse than if she was still holding his arm. Gods, he is a fool.

They’re both ten, eating shaved ice on the back porch. Kagura’s eyes widen as she peers through the window that leads back to the kitchen. Sesshomaru knows what she’s probably looking at; his mother and Inuyasha’s mother, Izayoi, laughing together as they put away groceries.

“Your moms are kissing,” she informs him, wiping her chin with one sleeve.

“So?” Sesshomaru replies, digging a ring all the way around the ice in his bowl.

“So, what do you think it feels like?” She scratches one earlobe; her brother Byakuya pierced it for her in the bathroom last week, and it apparently hasn’t stopped itching since. Sesshomaru is ninety percent sure it’s infected. “Kissing.”

“I don’t know.” Something in his stomach twists into a knot. “I don’t care, either.”

“It’s just a question.” She takes a huge bite of the ice, predictably wincing as the chill hits the back of her teeth.

“Well, go ask someone else…”

They’re fifteen, and he’s been throwing rocks at her window for ten minutes.

It isn’t something Sesshomaru would usually do (what if he breaks the glass? What if a neighbor sees him? What if her dad wakes up and starts yelling?) but she didn’t come to school today. Because of that, Sesshomaru ate alone.

Clapping the dirt off his palms, he wonders if he should just go home. Then, the windowsill creaks.

“What are you doing?”

From the rasp of her voice, he’s woken her up. Grimacing, Sesshomaru stuffs both hands in his pockets.

“You weren’t around today.”

Kagura leans halfway out the window. A gust of nighttime wind catches the bangs across her forehead, and her eyes briefly close in appreciation. From his spot in the backyard, it makes her look like something out of the doramas that Inuyasha’s mom likes.

“Hakudoshi’s sick; I had to take care of him.”

“Oh.” He feels stupid, then. Of course, there are a million things in Kagura’s life that have nothing to do with him, and why should he have been so concerned after a single day -

“I’m glad you missed me, though.” White teeth flash down at him, not quite mocking. “How sweet.”

“Shut up,” he snaps, turning his back on her. “I’m going home.”

“See you tomorrow,” she laughs; the sound echoes throughout his dreams all night.

They’re eighteen, and it’s the first day of college. Sesshomaru has returned from the store with a hanging wall calendar to note all of his classes, eishin-ryu practices, and trips home to see his mother. As he mounts it on the wall, uncomfortably aware of his roommate watching from his own side of the room, a loud knock shakes the door.

He opens it just in time for Kagura to pop a Marukawa gum bubble in his face.

When she spies the calendar over his shoulder, her expression falls. It’s subtle enough that anyone else might miss it.

The next morning, he finds her name scrawled in black marker in the corner of every square.

“Just so you don’t get so busy that you forget about me!”

Every morning, he rubs his thumb over the markings, and makes a promise he never plans to say.

“Don’t walk away without me like you did before,” she says quietly.

“Hm.”

“I mean it.”

Vibrations ripple through the wall to shake the mattress; the girls in the next room must be watching TV with the volume up. Kagura traces his bangs with one finger, and he fights to keep from shuddering at the touch.

They’re eight years old, and he brings Kagura over for dinner for the first time. His mother sits at the head of the table, telling them a story.

“Once upon a time, there was a fearsome dog demon. He was a strong warrior, to be sure. But, though he’d never lost a battle, he also had no one to protect.”

“What did he fight for, then,” Kagura snorts. “He sounds dumb.”

Sesshomaru kicks her under the table; it’s rude to interrupt, after all.

Izayoi clicks her tongue from the other side of the room, where she’s cutting an apple under Inuyasha’s watch. “We all have things to learn, don’t we?”

“Indeed.” Sesshomaru’s mother rests her chin on her hand; her many rings sparkle in the light. “Over time, he made a very powerful enemy. Several creatures joined him on a quest to defeat this villain. But the dog demon still could not fully understand how he and his comrades might care for each other. Then one day, a woman came to him - the slave of his enemy.”

Kagura grabs Sesshomaru’s arm under the table in excitement. “What was she like?”

“Not quite as powerful as our warrior.” His mother smiles. “But perhaps, in a way, that made her even more brave. What she wanted, more than anything, was to live a free life.”

“She sounds way better than him. Can she be the main character instead?”

“Kagura. Shhh.”

“Don’t shush me!”

“Then stop interrupting.”

“What are you thinking so hard about?” Her fingers press into the spot between his eyebrows.

Sesshomaru swallows hard. Despite the lack of space, he fits on her bed like he belongs there.

“I should go.”

Maybe, this one time out of thousands, she’ll finally ask him not to.

Because twelve years now, they’ve been friends, and he’s been a coward for every day of it. Too determined to preserve what they have, instead of taking the leap into something new. But if Kagura would do it - if she could be the one to lean forward, press their lips together, say I love you - Sesshomaru would give her everything.

“Oh.” Her lips turn down. The teasing touch of her fingers on his skin disappears. “Okay. Text me when you get back.”

As always, she refuses to make things easy for him.

Sesshomaru stands, taking the time to smooth wrinkles out of his shirt. Disappointment sits like a cold weight in his gut. Kagura rolls over, with a sigh that is clearly too dramatic to not be for his benefit. She presses her face into the pillow, her arms splayed out across the bedspread. Her skirt has ridden up a bit, and he resists the urge to reach out and fix it.

Usually she’ll at least give him a hug goodbye (and take the opportunity to do something annoying, like yank his pockets inside out). Sesshomaru waits awkwardly by the side of the bed for far too long before muttering, “Bye, then.”

The sound of the door closing echoes throughout the dorm hallway. It startles a girl standing by the water fountain on the opposite wall.

“Oh, hi.” She smiles sweetly, unscrewing the top off of a pink plastic water bottle. “The dorm-mother just went to the vending machines. If you take the stairs, she probably won’t see you.”

He nods stiffly in thanks, still lingering around the door. Just in case Kagura stops pouting in the next five minutes.

As water fills the bottle halfway, the girl continues talking in a friendly tone. “I’m Kagome, by the way. Are you Kagura’s boyfriend?”

Sesshomaru frowns.“No.”

“Oh.” She blinks, clearly not expecting the denial. “Sorry, just…she always talks about you. And you always seem to be together.”

“We’ve been friends for a long time.”

Kagome screws her water bottle’s cap on and takes a long, thoughtful swig. Her eyes glance towards the door, then at his face, which no doubt carries a rather obvious scowl.

In a sudden flash of energy, she runs past him to thud her fist against the door several times. Before he can ask what she’s doing, she’s already shoved him forwards and disappeared around the corner.

“What?” The door swings open, and Kagura blinks up at him. Several of her shirt buttons are undone, and she’s changed into pajama bottoms that pool around her ankles. “Did you forget something?”

Still trying to get his bearings, Sesshomaru simply stares at her. No, he wants to say, I didn’t forget, I just don’t know what to say…

“Spit it out,” Kagura yawns. “I wanna go to bed.”

The edges of his own fangs taste sharp as he runs his tongue against them in agitation. Steeling himself, Sesshomaru forces himself to breathe.

In.

Out.

He can’t say it, not yet, but he has to say something. Anything, that will make her understand that he’s trying.

“I want to stay.”

A look he doesn’t dare to name blooms across Kagura’s face. Whatever the emotion (relief, joy, love), it looks beautiful on her. That thought tempers the tension that he holds in every cell in his body, wondering where this will go.

Kagura, Sesshomaru’s best friend, reaches forward to grip his shirt in her fist. The action wrinkles it all over again. “Get back in here, then.”

Eight, nine, ten.

Eleven, twelve, thirteen.

(I like you.)

Fourteen, fifteen, sixteen.

(I want you.)

Seventeen, eighteen, nineteen.

(Do you want me, too?)

They’re twenty, and someday soon, Sesshomaru will be able to tell her.

Fairy Tail Ships

Some Rando came at me on my main for a ship I hadn’t even said a single word about on a post about a character not involved in said ship so now I’m just gonna write down all my Fairy Tail ships unprompted out of pure spite

Multi and Probably Problematic shipping a-hoy under the read more be wary!

Okay so as every other of this kind of post will plainly spell out I always have One Guy who is just the Ship bicycle. This character could kiss literally anyone and I would be more than happy. Typically they in fact do.

For Fairy Tail, it’s Gajeel Redfox

You would not believe your eyes if my first fucking Gajeel ship was Gajeel/Gajeel. I love Edolas Gajeel and up until that point Earthland Gajeel interacts with pretty much no one positively. I fully believe he hard made out with himself. First kiss. First time? The full shebang. Canon as far as I think.

Following that IMMEDIATELY is Gajeel/Lily. My god. My God let’s just give Gajeel a beefy cat man to homoerotically throw around. “That’s My Cat” I love him he’s so fucking stupid he makes out with Lily on the regular.

Gajeel/Levy is probably the best developed canon ship in Fairy Tail and that’s really not saying much but I think they’re cute. The only caviot is Levi pegs him. I’m sorry, Gajeel cannot be a top.

I think Gajeel/Natsu is funny as hell they’re so violent. Gajeel thinks Natsu’s the dumbest man he’s ever met. They don’t kiss they bite.

Gajeel/Laxus is just as funny but just because they both think they’re the smart one in the relationship.

After that all I might loose a bit of steam but Romance in this show is rarely interesting but here’s some of my takes anyway;

Laxus/Freed is always a free sail Freed pining from the beginning Laxus having no idea what his own feelings are until some time mid season 7. Laxus taking everything casually and Freed over thinking every little piece of affection he gets. They’re an uncommunicative mess and I love them.

I like Juvia/Grey not because I think it’s a well balanced and fleshed out canon romance, but because I love Juvia and want her to be happy and think Annoyingly Horny Stalker and Too Tired For This Shit is the funniest trope. Also Transfem Lesbian Grey, Demiromantic Bi/Pan Juvia

Speaking of Stalker/Obsession ships, Lucy/Flare??? My god I had not-antagonist Flare for 3 episodes and I will never let her go. Red headed Lesbian raised by a Village of Giant Men. Get yourself a blondie GF you deserve it.

Another Stalker/Obsession because I’m just gonna keep on goin; Erza/Sho???? Hello??? That was one baby me was entranced by. Love when the stalker is also the bottom. I love Sho I think he’s so cute, I think his obsession with Erza is so cute, I think his Sister Complex is so cute.

More Erza tops a little sibling!! Erza/Kagura!! What is it about Erza that gives everyone who meets her an Incest Kink?? I love her. I love Kagura she’s SO pathetic after her angst over Jallal is swept under the rug for no reason (no I’m not salty about that)

SPEAKING of Kagura; Kagura/Millianna is very cute I am on board. The Lesbian Kagura content for those without the taste for Sister Complex.

Elfman/Evergreen is so funny to me because this is a Bisexual man with a huge preference for Men who really REALLY wanted to fall in love with a Man and be Married Manly Men who grow into Old Men together but no. He just HAD to catch feelings for The Prettiest Girl in his guild. He’s so mad about it. Whole ass that “But I am in love with a MAN. RIGHT NOW.” meme but gender swapped.

Make out in the guild’s storage room. Mira’s caught them once or twice and promises to keep their secret, so long as she never catches them with their pants down that close to the cheese again.

Levi/Lucy are a cute Best Friends to Girlfriends kind of ship. No one would notice if they started dating because they’d act the exact same as before

But also Cana/Lucy?? Same energy in that no one would really know they’re dating until Cana gets stupid clingy/protective when other people hit on Lucy.

Mavis/Zera is under appreciated I know Zera isn’t real and is just a projection of Mavis’ loneliness and isolation but also she’s Mavis’ gay thoughts a WLW side. Her self love and care in personhood. They kiss.

Canon evil lesbian queens Kyoka/Seilah is a lot more than I expected out of this program and I am so here for it!! Go girls go!!!

Dimaria/Brandish as well, evil lesbians having a bad spat and taking it out on the entirety of Fairy Tail is very funny to me. They are toxic and horrid and I hope Brandish gets away from her.

Kamika/Cosmos, while not evil, are just as canon lesbians and I love that for them. Also Lolicon Cosmos.

There at the start of the War Arc when Toby and Millianna were walking into war together and he’s looking at her with a flush on his face little guy got puppy love and I!!!! Am all about it!!! She’s a lesbian for sure but she’ll make an exception for him. I don’t think he knows what a gender is anyway

I think that fact that Ichiya and Nichiya most certainly Fuck is not discussed enough in this fandom this man fucks his own Fursona I need more people to speak of this.

Okay now my take on the Big Ships and Canon Shit because I actually didn’t talk about them above I focused on what I’d actually like to see.

Natsu/Lucy is. Fine. I saw someone say a headcanon that Natsu thought they were dating the whole time and I love that. ADHD Natsu who decided he liked Lucy and was going to ask her out but Forgot and then Forgot he Forgot and proceeded to think they were an official couple for 9 more season.

Natsu/Lisanna is also pretty okay. I love baby love, I love them as kids playing house playing marriage awkward dancing and kisses on the cheek and holding hands. They were eachother’s first love and that means so much to me there’s very little that could ever make you forget your first love. (Side note I think at this age Elfman had a crush on Natsu but didn’t say anything sense Lisanna also liked him)

Erza/Jellal bothers me. Maybe I just don’t like Jellal as a character enough yet but not only is he Not In The Guild like every other main series ship, he also is on some pretty thin ice on being an Antagonist or not. But, like above, he was Erza’s First Love and that really is kind of a Big Deal, being actually In Love for the first time. I think they could heal, and I’d love to see that actually play out. If anyone has any fics where this is a Real Issue that they talk about and face I would actually love to read them.

Mavis/Zeref is also pretty. Okay. I don’t like it, I think it’s pretty forced, I think the fact that they had a child when Mavis died after their first kiss is a fucked concept everyone’s avoiding despite it being the most interesting part of the ship. He’s her pathetic little meow meow, she’s his last shred of sanity decaying in his arms as he desperately plants kisses over her small prepubescent body. It’s VERY Dead Dove and everyone is avoiding it.

Happy/Carla... is this one people actually ship or just something in the background? Honestly Happy feels so much Younger than Carla most of the time despite them probably being the same age. He just acts like a little fool. I don’t like it. I think Carla deserves better. And is also a Lesbian.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

My only vague idea of who people do and don't like is derived the official character polls which I'm not even allowed to see in full because spoilers - although even then I feel like most of my faves are pretty basic haha.

That said ! Umibozu probably? I really like his intro arc, I like that in general they make him so polarizing like - yeah he neglected his family and he's way distant with his daughter and he's this intimidating hard boiled figure in general but at the same time, while what he did was not right you can understand why he acted that way - I'd be scared to come home too at that point - and while he's still running away he's coming around and trying to show his love and support for his daughter after all. Any subsequent one off episodes where he appears are also fun ! I like the planet slayer one. In general his design and setting are so 'and now for a completely different show' it cracks me up shshs. Santa arc and Kagura's boyfriend arcs are also enjoyable, in general his butting heads with Gintoki is fun. Dad rivalry. Gin (and Pachi) being so. polite understanding cold shoulder 'we don't like him, but he's okay' at Umibozu shhs it's just a fun dynamic.

He gets so little screentime but it's always fun and adds to his character, whether it's his arc or his self serious goofy personality. + He pulls the overprotective dad thing off way better than Matsudaira ~v~

yeah! I just watched Rakuyo so even though it's doing a billion things to my brain /pos I'm not going to talk about it yet. sorry for yato posting it will happen again

I have ! No frame of reference for this ! So uh?!?! Who knows. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume most people don't talk much about the 4 Devas and associated background recurring cast from Kabukicho? In which case that would be my answer? I think they're all quite enjoyable past the. t word. ugh.

I'm convinced Horikoshi likes to purposefully put Hawks next to giant characters all the time now. Just to make him look smaller (small Hawks hc's are hilarious and it's fun to tease but I still stand that him being 5'8" doesn't make him short). Horikoshi must love to tease Hawks for whatever reason.

Gintoki’s Ideal Type

A while back when I did a post about Gintoki as a boyfriend, one thing I briefly mentioned was his ideal type. So I just wanted to take the time to expand on that.

Sidenote: one thing I frequently see with discussions involving Gintoki and love is that he ‘just doesn’t seem like the type to settle for one person.’ I would just like to note that I think Sorachi-sensei never intended for Gintoki (or any character) to have a romantic partner in the manga.

Because an underling message in Gintama - especially in Gintoki’s case - is overcoming personal struggles. The speech he gave in his fight against Kamui really captures this.

Gintama is also very much a manga built on family bonds and that you don’t have to be related by blood to be family. In Gintoki’s case, finding the family he never had.

But anyway back his ideal type lol. I just wanted to show why I think it is really possible for him to find love within the Gintama universe.

One thing Gintoki is really attracted to is someone’s smile. He tries to protect multiple characters smiles in multiple arcs. A smile is the most attractive physical trait to him. Ketsuno Ana could be used as the template for his ideal type with his massive crush on her. Even if it is just a childish celebrity crush.

Friendly, kind, down to earth, and always has a warm smile on her face. Even if it is for the most part a TV personality (though she is a genuinely good person) he seems to be fond of the opposite of the way he sees himself.

He’s been looked at and treated as a demon for a majority of his life. I mean think of the people he’s close to, all of them see him as human and not a monster. Of course he’s overcome those trials, and became human in the end. Which means romantically speaking, he needs/wants someone who accepts him as he is, flaws and all.

Falling back someone who’s kind, the man gets thrown around like a rag doll, pierced in the head, and stalked. He would really enjoy the company of someone who will sit down with him and just listen - and I mean he has done that when drunk with bartenders/shop owners. But it would be extra nice if it were a significant other.

Patience. He likes this mostly to handle Kagura and everyone else he’s close to, but doesn’t realize it’s needed to handle how he has a hard time expressing his emotions as well.
