Some minor bits of lore for y’all for the holidays. I don’t have anything crazy or festive planned or anything for the next couple days so hopefully this experimental piece is alright.

Design so far is a mesh of FD’s current armor design and Ballad’s old design when wearing the mask. I liked the idea that they had very similar armor to one another, but it not exactly being on purpose.

There are some shading mistakes in places since it was getting late last night and I was too sleepy to remember to fix the shading layer when I had added post line-art stuff. It is experimental so I’m forcing myself to not give into the perfectionist brain telling me to fix it immediately lol (edit: I gave in)

Silly sketch idea. Moon Serpent and Light Serpent (with a small redesign for her and a peek at what I plan on Ko’jin’s future design to look).

This like. 100% wouldn’t happen depending on when Ko’jin appears in the au (post-TOTK’s era). But it was a neat idea regardless so I doodled it while I had the chance 😌

Also since its not canon to the au I’m not gonna bother finishing it rn or making it look good (hence why its a tad scuffed in areas). Maybe it’ll be a thing I finish in the future 🤔.

Goddess Majora, Embodiment of Chaos. Also just a really large bug.

Below the cut is some lore + a little bit of me rambling about Majora’s design (and then a little more ab hylia)

Some Majora Lore

Not created by the golden goddesses but instead came to be from Hylia and Demise’s growing conflict with one another. After attempting to take Hylia down herself, Majora was then sealed away underneath the canyons of Ikana.

She would, later on at least, be reawakened by a still-mortal Ko’jin as Hylia’s seal began to weaken. She fled deeper into Ikana’s canyons and disguised herself as one of its people. Coincidentally, Ikana’s missing queen reunited with her people around the same time.

Ko’jin is chosen by Golden Goddess Farore to be her opposition.

Design thoughts

Some changes from her previous post, a more simple design so I can draw her more often. I really like her new wing patterns, mimicking phoenix (or peacock) feathers as a couple other deities do as well. She’s just a bit more obvious about it.

A lot of the deities, spirits, and other characters that answer under Hylia (or are allied with her) have diamonds in their designs as an homage to her as a common theme (FD’s dragon whiskers as an example). Majora just straight takes the pheonix feathers and runs with it. No diamonds on this damn bug, just pure imitation.

On that note, though, it makes me kinda wanna redesign her antennae to go further. But we’ll see how I feel when I start drawing her more.

Ballad's new design! Can't wait to design every other forms he has as well. But that'll come later. Regardless, I really like how the design looks now compared to the others.

The sword sheathe is a little crunchy, its part of a redesign idea I had that I scrapped. But the sheathe itself I liked, so I pasted it into his ref page before blocking in the new details. But it's crunchy because I had to resize it and didn't want to redraw the whole thing <- ultimately just laziness on my part.

Green cloth is totally optional, so here's a look underneath in case it's needed.

No colors for this version tho. I didn't really plan for it to be in the ref. Maybe some other day.

Regarding other forms. I may include either some of his mask forms but that'll require some thinking and concept art. I WILL be making a proper fullbody of his Fierce Deity form tho along with Forest (oot) getting a good ref as well. (Forest does have a ref I just don't like it so I never posted it lol.) And ofc once that's all done they'll get their own lineup page. Feel free to probe me for any details till then. It'll be kind of a long process since I'm also working on FD's origin.

This has actually been sitting in my drafts for a while. I totally forgot to post this. I think my plan was to post her when I had finished a certain someone’s zora form, but ended up changing my plans for that kinda post and just… forgot.

Design may vary a bit as I re-visit her, but otherwise I really like how she turned out. I think the jellyfish inspiration kinda fits the character I’m gonna be giving her :D
