Biovember day 26
I mean, with all the time and resources the Order put into arming and training Mazeka, it’d be a waste to not turn him into a Toa if they had a chance.
Also I know the whole “no toa in the order because toa can’t kill”, but since Mazeka was trained to kill when he was a Matoran, he’d probably be able to do it as a Toa.

Karaka, Toa of Ice
Weapon: Freezer-Burn Blades
Mask: Mask of Friction Control (Inorganic Zatth by KhingK)
By rapidly absorbing the coldness in his arm-mounted blades, Karaka’s weapons glow red-hot and generate enough heat to melt through the thickest ice or armour. His Mask of Friction Control and spiked boots ensures he never slips on ice and even allow him to walk up walls.
Built for TheLegendReborn’s Torso building challenge. (12/16)

"I believe that mask belongs to me."
It has long been my intention to--if not actually becoming active here again--at least keep this place relatively up to date. So here is the last of BIONICLE month from 2020, most of which is now very old or out of date but still nice to have all in the same place. I believe the remaining prompts were for a toa of water, toa of air, turaga, matoran, adversary, and titan (which is the Hydraxon piece above).
I'm fairly certain at this point all of the custom masks were designed by KhingK and the cordak blasters are my attempt to ape BobtheDoctor27's really slick stud shooter ones. Hopefully get to posting my modern projects here soon!

Bohma, Toa of Plantlife
When everything burns, some may be filled with despair. Not Bohma. Patient and optimistic, Bohma knows that everything grows back, with time. While his fellow Toa Seka may weep and wail for the Great Spirit who they fear has forgotten them, Bohma tirelessly plants new trees and tills the dry, dead earth. He is always the first to offer a helping hand, and is a relentless do-gooder at heart. He’s sadly not the brightest of bulbs, and his forgiving nature makes him somewhat easy to fool, but there are few more dutiful, and he is more than capable of holding his own in a fight. Bearing the serrated saw-like Bloom Sword, he can hack through tough vegetation and troublesome foes with equal ease, and his mask of Biomechanics gives him an intuitive understanding of machines and devices.
Finally, an optimist! With the decline of Pazu Nui, those are in precious short supply, and someone like Bohma was desperately needed to balance out the more cynical or unhinged personalities of the team. I like to think he’s Uljati’s favourite punching-bag. His sunny demeanour should not be taken for naiveté, though - he’s every bit as much of a Toa as the others, just one that believes in actually doing things to make the world better. The mentality of Bohma is the adage of ‘the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago, the second best is now’. The use of blue and green for Plantlife felt a little too cartoony for my liking, so I broke it up a little with pink and magenta to give some accents, and lots of flower decorations. Bohma has probably my favourite calf design I’ve ever done. The sword was inspired by the false bird-of-paradise flower, Heliconia rostrata.

Some Stud.io stuff...
as the title suggests, have some pics of a project I was working on recently, as a result of having grabbed just about every Stud.io parts pack I could find and get my hands on.
As such, I present to you, the ‘01 combiners: the Kaita Mata, Akamai and Wairuha!
TBH, I had a different set of masks in mind when I set off to do ^this^, but apparently the KhingK pack is not available anymore (or at least it’s damn near impossible to get one’s hands on the last version produced by VootCaboot ever since they dropped KhingK’s stuff from their Gdrive of packs). Apparently, there was a lot of drama there re: KK, which I don’t have anything to do with (and thus won’t get involved with, either). Also, as I noticed due to the masks I did use, the Kaita probably inspired the creation of the original Teridax build.
As you can see here, I’m mostly using parts from @valtarshol and Kingsidorak’s numerous and varied parts packs, with some scattered bits from other, smaller collections (like Rothanak and Godfyr, in this example) as well. And yes, Akamai’s left arm has a universal joint in it. Thank Valtarshol for that, it’s pretty neat. And his hand on that arm is made of some of Val’s Turaga foot design, with the axle-sockets clipping through the back because there isn’t an axle hole (Imma poke Val about that later...)
Another shot, where you can see more of Val’s handiwork in the Onua digging claws. They’re articulated, with about 16 parts per claw!
Back shot. Surprise, btw! The lower torso pieces have a gearbox function available (again, thanks to Val), tho I had to cheat to do some torso piston capability on the black and brown bodies. Oh well, not like I’m making these IRL!
Wairuha, more of the same from before, though with the addition of the large Kopaka sword from Turret 3471. The large axe head (and the shield bits) come from Valtarshol, if anyone’s curious, and the rest of the axe is vanilla pieces in weird colors. The big green “hand” on the right arm is from Kingsidorak.
The Miru is also from Rothanak, same as Akamai’s Hau.
Rear shot. Second verse, same as the first.
@wjbs-bonkle-au and @bethveni might appreciate these too, idk. Or not. Hope someone enjoys them, at least. Not gonna render them, at least not rn: got other ideas to get out of my head, as well as other plans to do things with but I’ve also been putting off because of executive dysfunction.

Bionicle Game (with no heed to what's been asked before):
A30
B20
C10
A30 Favourite Koro: Ga-Koro. I'm partial to Le-Koro too, but there's something so wonderfully peaceful about Ga-Koro that just makes it feel like paradise and home all at once. That said, after about a week there, I'd probably be sick of all the water everywhere and pack my bags for Le-Koro. Maybe I'd alternate between the two. It doesn't hurt that these two were also the Koro with the best music in MNOG II, but that's purely coincidence. It's also coincidence that I'm listening to that game's soundtrack right now. In what mysterious ways the universe works.
B20 Favourite Online Episode: I'm tempted to say one of the Piraka Animations, actually. They're as non-canon as it gets, but man are they fun. But I think my actual favourite online episode thing is the first episode of the Search for the Mask of Light animations. I remember seeing it as a special feature on the Web of Shadows DVD and loving it, and then when I found out there were more online? That was a good day. I love how quickly the characters move, and also the way they talk.
C10 Unpopular Opinion About the Fandom: I don't know if this is unpopular per se, but I actually quite like it when the fandom comes to a consensus on particular details that were never established in canon. Like I'm all for everyone having their own vision for how a certain character looks, or how a particular backstory played out, etc, but I find it really fun when a goodly portion of the fandom just sort of silently adopts something as "canon" to them. Like the prevalence of sand blue as a Fa-Matoran armour colour, or the existence of Voriki somewhere in the MU, beautiful fanart like @bioniclechicken's, all the custom Kanohi people like KhingK and Galva and Rothanak have designed that have become the "official" appearance of those Kanohi for so many people. I think that kind of community consensus is wonderful. And I don't know, I hope someday I can make something for this community that's good enough that people can find it and love it so much that they adopt it into their personal curated headcanon

The VNOG Ignika!
Model from Khingk
Master part printed by Creative Mechanics
Part smoothed and cast by me
NOT selling these just yet. The first mold has a bad failure rate that makes it not suitable for mass production. I do have a very good master part now, though.

MOC: Anvenn, the Bladed Bone
The sixth and final member of my “technically not a toa team”, Anvenn, the skeleton samurai. She doesn’t look very skeleton, or even very samurai, but I still like it.
Featuring a placeholder KhingK Tryna, because the skull basher mask isn’t in stud.io

Mask of Clairvoyance (SpecterL Ver.) + Champions Kakama (Pouks) by Galva_Nise
Mask of Growth (Perp3tual Ver.) by Rothanak
Mask of Sensory Aptitude by KhingK
Kualus’s scarf by me 😁
(personally not a fan of copper Gaaki or metallic green Bomonga so I went with the colours of the original MoCs, plus that’s waaaay more spraypainted parts than I’m comfortable with)
