My past obsession with Alphabeat’s dance pop has cemented a lot of fun memories for me back from in the day. Though the band has been on hiatus since 2012, lead singer Stine Bramsen has been leading the solo charge back home in Denmark, even peaking in 2015 with a number one gold-selling album named Fiftyseven. Today, Stine Bramsen returns with her first pop song since its release. L.A.C.K. is not lacking at all when it comes to iridescent ravishing synths, soulful enthralling vocals, and an irresistible R&B groove. Tove Lo’s bombastic electro-pop meets LÉON’s smoky soulful pop on the vibey jam. Stine says of her single: “Sometimes you have to create a vacuum around yourself and the ones you love to simply shut out the hate, violence and inhumanity we see around the world every day. ‘L.A.C.K.’ is about how difficult it can be to find the right balance of being in this mad world with an aching heart while allowing yourself to be happy and present, right where you are.”  L.A.C.K. is out today via major retailers, here.
