Congratulations on successfully completing the life activity of transitioning from ‘cohabitee helpmate’ to ‘committed consort companion’. Also commonly referred to as getting married. As a reward for completing this life experience, you have received this very important book. A book bestowed to you by your friends as a handy guide to achieving greatness in your future life activities as a married couple. Note: We highly endorse the exciting activity of combining DNA to create mini humans. Upon receiving this extremely important book, we recommend an immediate study of the information within its pages. Each page contains exceptional advice on married life and it’s experiences that modern couples are faced with during their time of ‘growing old together’.  The contributors of this book are experts in their chosen professions and fields of knowledge, but alas, not a single one has any comprehension of the art of marriage. They did however, as they compiled the advice bestowed on these pages, many glasses of your wedding champagne that filled their minds and bellies with bubbles. Once again, congratulations. Thank you for  the warm loving glow that the two of you emanated as we gathered to celebrate your love for each other. The two of you are both magnificent souls and together you make a beautiful union of love.

AU Tudor: Best Destinations for Henry VIII's Wives (That is, if they had never married him)
Catherine Parr-Baroness Latymer (1512-1565)
Catherine Parr and her husband Jon Neville had been very close since they got married, despite being 19 years older than her, Catherine loved her husband and her stepchildren whom she loved as a mother. Her life was quiet, she had a husband who loved her and two stepchildren who loved her as a mother, but Catalina was sad she longed to have a baby with her husband and since there was no pregnancy from her first marriage with Eduardo Borough and after almost nine years of her second childless marriage, the lady was thought to be barren.
In the year 1542 John Neville began to suffer health problems and fears for her life, Catherine did not separate from her husband and did not hesitate to sell some of her jewelry to pay for the best doctors she could find . Fortunately, John began to recover at the beginning of 1543 and by the middle of that year he could walk, this made the family very happy and John was always grateful to his wife for the sacrifice he made.
The joy intensified when in 1544 Catherine began to suffer a series of pains in her stomach and dizziness, thinking that it was a serious illness, she called her doctors who told her that she was pregnant and it was a great surprise for the family, but they were very happy. On October 3, 1544, the couple's only daughter, Anne Catherine, was born and this birth was considered a miracle, John and Catherine were loving parents with both their daughter and John's older children.
A year later Margaret Neville married her fiancé Ralph Bigod in a simple ceremony and nine months later, young John Neville married Lucy Somerset and Catalina gave her daughter-in-law one of her necklaces that was a gift from her family recognizing her as part of your family.
Catherine's life was quiet with her husband and daughter, whom she raised and gave a lot of affection, but Catherine's joy was even more when Margaret's first son, Richard, was born in 1547 and it is known that the baroness took care of that child like his grandson. That same year, Catherine was reunited with her sister, Anne Parr, who was Countess of Pembroke and Baroness Herbert of Cardiff, both decided to compromise her children, Anne Catherine and Edward Herbert, ensuring a good future for their children. Anne Parr died in 1552, but the marriage negotiations continued at the choice of William Herbert, Anne's widower.
In the year 1555 John Neville passed away at 62 years of age, her death destroyed Catherine from her and five years later she decided to take refuge in a convent for a few months to honor the death of her beloved husband. Five months later, Catherine returned to her stepchildren and her daughter, from whom she never separated.
Three years later, in 1563, Anne Catherine and Edward Herbert were married in a great ceremony attended by the prince and cardinal George of England, son of Arthur I. It is known that the widow cried with joy and gave the promised land in the lands of the North, in addition to giving her daughter some clothes that she made herself.
The following months were quiet for Catherine as she received continuous visits from her children and grandchildren, in addition to being very happy when she found out that her daughter, Anne, was pregnant for the first time and the couple of counts spent a season with the widow. On November 20, 1564, while riding a horse with her stepdaughter Margaret, Catherine suffered a spectacular fall when her horse tripped and fell violently, the woman injured her back a lot and was quickly taken to her residence to be attended.
Her daughter Anne, upon receiving the news of the accident, became very nervous that she almost lost the baby that she carried in her womb and remained by her mother's side, who was constantly agonizing due to her fractures. she. On January 4, 1565, Anne Catherine went into labor, while Catherine Parr was recounting her will in secret, since she knew that she would die soon and asked that her belongings be distributed among her children. Catherine died that same afternoon at 53 years of age and that same day she was born, Catherine Herbert being a joy, but the news of the widow's death was a great blow to Ana Catherine's health.

The Hepworth Wakefield, United Kingdom

The Hepworth Wakefield, United Kingdom
Tumblr media
The Hepworth Wakefield is an art gallery in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. The gallery is situated on the south side of the River Calder and takes its name from artist and sculptor Barbara Hepworth who was born and educated in the city. The Hepworth Wakefield is an award-winning art gallery in the heart of Yorkshire, set within Wakefield’s historic waterfront overlooking the River Calder. Designed by the acclaimed David Chipperfield Architects, the gallery opened in May 2011. The gallery was designed by British architect David Chipperfield, who won an architectural design competition managed by RIBA Competitions and was built by Laing O'Rourke with funding from Wakefield Council, Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The gallery presents major exhibitions of the best international modern and contemporary art and has dedicated galleries exploring Hepworth’s art and working process. Yorkshire Forward, the Homes and Communities Agency, and the European Regional Development Fund have also supported the building of the gallery alongside a number of charitable trusts, corporations and private individuals. The Hepworth Wakefield is a registered charity under English law. The Hepworth Wakefield is home to Wakefield’s art collection – an impressive compendium of modern British art, including works by Ben Nicholson, Partick Heron, L.S. Lowry, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore as well as work by significant contemporary artists such as Frank Auerbach, Maggi Hambling, Anthea Hamilton, Martin Parr and Eva Rothschild. The gallery cost £35 million to build. Five weeks after opening it had received 100,000 visitors. In May 2012 it celebrated its first birthday, having received over 500,000 visitors in the year. In October 2015, the gallery launched the £30,000 biennial The Hepworth Prize for Sculpture as part of the celebrations marking its 5th anniversary. Bringing art to life by making people think, feel and be inspired. The Hepworth Wakefield is an art gallery, museum and creative space as unique as the woman who inspired it. Rooted in the heart of Yorkshire, our significant collection and compelling programme explore the connections between the local and the global, and blend the contemporary with the historical. Hepworth Wakefield’s iconic building embodies Hepworth Wakefield’s spirit of progression and regeneration, allowing us to create exceptional and original art experiences. Vision To be recognised as one of the world’s leading art galleries, creating unforgettable art experiences for all, while inspiring positive change locally. Mission To create experiences that inspire, captivate, surprise and enhance everyone’s lives. Collection The Hepworth Wakefield celebrates Yorkshire’s heritage as the birthplace of modern British sculpture through the achievements of Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore – two of the most important artists of the twentieth century, both born in the Wakefield district. The gallery was built in 2011 by David Chipperfield Architects to house the city’s nationally important collection of modern and contemporary British art. Wakefield’s art collection consists of more than 5,000 works, at the core of which is a significant group of works by Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore. From its foundation in 1923, the former Wakefield Art Gallery adopted an ambitious collecting policy with a core aim to nurture an understanding of contemporary art. Works were acquired by the leading artists of the time, who have become synonymous with shaping modern British art. These include Hepworth’s ‘Mother and Child’ (1934) and Moore’s ‘Reclining Figure’ (1936) from an important period in the history of British art, during which many artists such as Paul Nash, Victor Pasmore and John Piper began to experiment with abstraction. Other leading British artists represented in the collection include Aileen Agar, David Bomberg, Roger Fry, Harold Gilman, Ben Nicholson, Patrick Heron, Lucie Rie and William Scott. At the heart of the collection is the celebrated Hepworth Family Gift, a remarkable group of the artist’s surviving working models for her later bronze commissions. Architecture When designing The Hepworth Wakefield, David Chipperfield Architects responded imaginatively to the gallery’s waterfront setting and industrial heritage of the site. The gallery is able to source the majority of its heating and cooling from the river’s flow. The design of the galleries allows the introduction of daylight through skylights and imposing floor-to-ceiling windows. The windows offer visitors wonderful views of the River Calder, important local landmarks such as the medieval Chantry Chapel and Wakefield Cathedral, and the Emley Moor Transmitting Station tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the United Kingdom. The building’s façades have been constructed of pigmented concrete which was created in-situ. This gives the building a sculptural appearance, which echoes the shapes and forms in many of Barbara Hepworth’s sculptures. The angles of the gallery’s roof are echoed in the angles of the bespoke font and logo design created for The Hepworth Wakefield by APFEL. Garden: The Hepworth Wakefield Riverside Gallery Garden which will be one of the UK’s largest free public gardens and will transform the surroundings to the gallery. We’re working with acclaimed landscape architect, Tom Stuart-Smith to create one of the UK’s largest free public gardens. The garden, measuring approximately 6000 square metres, will be developed in the space between our building and neighbouring Victorian mill buildings. Tom Stuart-Smith’s proposed garden is a modern, romantic response to this varied post-industrial location with its riverside setting, robust industrial buildings and the angular sculptural form of The Hepworth Wakefield, instilling this with a naturalism which reflects Barbara Hepworth’s deeply felt connection with landscape. A wall will separate the garden from the main road, with the open spaces composed of paving and lawn, reflecting the ways in which people use space and move through it, sometimes stopping to chat or look, sometimes moving in a hurry and with variety of places for people to sit. The variety of open spaces also gives flexibility to the garden so it can be used for medium sized events. Value: Being open means we are inclusive, we collaborate freely and fairly, and are generous with our time and knowledge. We are welcoming and make the experiences we offer accessible to everyone. The Hepworth Wakefield strive to achieve the highest possible quality. Being world-class is our goal, and everyone has a role to play in ensuring that excellence runs through every aspect of our work.

Six Cast
The cast and creative team is announced today for the London premiere of the new British musical SIX that sees the 6 wives of Henry VIII singing their way out of the history books and into the West End spotlight.
From Tudor queens to pop princesses and with songs including Ex Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head, this pop concert remixes 500 years of historical heartbreak into one hour of 21st century sass. If you thought this show was all about one man – you thought wrong!
Cast: Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) was Daniela in In The Heights, Elizabeth the lead in Dirty Dancing and won the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre contest.
Izuka Hoyle (Catherine Parr) was Selena in the musical Working at Southwark Playhouse. She was Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year 2017.
Renée Lamb (Catherine of Aragon) was Roz Keith in the musical 9 to 5.
Genesis Lynea (Anna of Cleves) is best known as series regular Maddie Harper in The 4 O’Clock Club, the CBBC series about hip hop and homework.
Christina Modestou (Anne Boleyn) was Nina in In the Heights, she was also in Shrek and Urinetown and covered and played Killer Queen in We Will Rock You.
Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour) was Louise in Sunday in the Park with George at the Menier Chocolate Factory and appeared in West End musicals Billy Elliott, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Les Miserables, as young Cosette.
Creative team: Director Lotte Wakeham, Choreographer Cressida Carré, Musical Director Joe Beighton, Orchestrations Tom Curran, Sound Designer Andy Graham, Lighting Designer Rebecca Fry, Costume Designer Roberto Surace, Associate Director Jamie Armitage.
SIX started life with Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017, where it was nominated for the inaugural Musical Theatre Review Best Musical Award. The original production, directed by Jamie Armitage, attracted the attention of producers Kenny Wax and Global Musicals, who are presenting this all-new production for the show’s professional premiere at the Arts Theatre in London on 18 December, 8, 15 and 22 January.
Writers Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss said: “This really is a dream come true. We’d like to thank Prince Harry and Meghan for announcing their engagement this week and helping raise interest in Royal brides to fever pitch – although they haven’t got back to us after we offered to provide entertainment at the wedding!”
Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss – Writers Toby and Lucy met at university, where they spent three years making theatre together and neglecting their degrees. In January 2017, they made their first foray into writing as a duo with the musical, SIX. Following the show’s success in Edinburgh, they are incredibly excited for its debut at the Arts Theatre. The team also make up two-thirds of the award-winning theatre company Hot Gay Time Machine, whose show, Hot Gay Time Machine, enjoyed considerable success at the fringe this year, and a sold out run at The Other Palace in November.
Lotte Wakeham – Director Productions as director include: The Hound of the Baskervilles (English Theatre Frankfurt/Jermyn Street), Di and Viv and Rose (Stephen Jospeh/New Vic), The World Goes Round (Stephen Joseph), Wonderland (UK tour), The Buskers Opera (Park Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Guildford Shakepeare Company), Upper Cut (Southwark Playhouse – nominated for the Alfred Fagon Award), Lizzie Siddall (nominated for 2 Off West End Awards), The Kissing-Dance (Jermyn Street – nominated for ‘Best Director’, Off West End Awards). Associate director: Matilda the Musical (RSC/West End/Broadway).
Cressida Carré – Choreographer Credits as Choreographer include: The Woman in White (Charing Cross Theatre) Jersey Boys (International Tour); Promises, Promises (Southwark Playhouse); Sweeney Todd (Mercury Theatre & Derby Theatre); Eurobeat (Edinburgh Fringe); Titanic (Charing Cross Theatre, Southwark Playhouse & Toronto); Laila the Musical (Watford Palace Theatre/UK Tour); Beyond the Fence (Arts Theatre); Avenue Q (Greenwich Theatre & UK Tour). Awards: Off West End Awards for Best Choreography for Titanic (Southwark Playhouse), Whatsonstage Awards for Best Off West Production Titanic (Southwark Playhouse).
Kenny Wax Ltd – Producer Kenny has produced three of Mischief Theatre Company’s hit shows, the Olivier award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong (in its fourth year at the Duchess theatre, and currently the longest running play on Broadway), the Olivier-nominated Peter Pan Goes Wrong at the Apollo Theatre and Olivier-nominated The Comedy About A Bank Robbery at the Criterion Theatre. Kenny produced the world-premiere production of Top Hat, which was the recipient of three Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Musical from its seven nominations, and the Evening Standard Award for Best Night Out and Once On This Island which won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical in 1995 from its four nominations. This year Kenny produced Sally Cookson’s adaptation of Francesco Fellini’s Oscar winning masterpiece La Strada which ran at The Other Palace following a regional tour and Around the World in 80 Days, a co-production with the Stoke New Vic Theatre. He was honoured to be nominated as ‘Producer of the Year’ at the 2017 Stage Newspaper Awards and in June 2017 Kenny was appointed President of the Society of London Theatre which provides a collective voice for the theatreowners, producers and managers of all the major commercial and grant-aided theatres across London.
Global Musicals Ltd – Producer Global Musicals Ltd is a brand new theatre company established in 2017 by producers Andy and Wendy Barnes. The company aims to focus on innovative new musical theatre, to discover and produce exciting musicals that will appeal to a younger generation of theatre goers. Andy and Wendy are also the producers of non-profit theatre company Perfect Pitch, a company founded in 2006 and dedicated to developing new British musicals by emerging writers through workshops, readings and showcases. Having worked exclusively with new British musicals over the last 11 years, Andy and Wendy hope their new company will be able to provide the much needed funds to take young shows to that next step, from development to full commercial production and longer term life.
