M.A.S.S. Builder: MPMCL-CQK
A post for the MPMCL-CQK.
I should've done this sooner so I could move onto other stuff but oh well whatever ig.
Tumblr media
The descent of the MPMCL-CQK after being dropped off from an unknown cargo plane. Many others will soon follow.

Specifications (Pasted from the MASS Builder Community Discord):
Basic Information Company: ATMRRI Designation: MPMCL-CQK Height: ~5 Meters Mass: 8.7 Tonnes
Armaments Arms: ]- SG-280CN [Cluster Napalm] Shoulders: N/A Back: N/A Secondary: ]- Hip mounted Napalm Cluster Rockets ]- Beehive Grenade Launchers
Features Protection: ]- Spaced Armor Plates ]- No composites at all Mobility: ]- Atmospheric Plasma Thrusters ]- 2D Thrust Vectoring ]- Carbon nanotube Artificial Muscle Misc: ]- High Capacity Lithium-Sulfur Battery ]- Controlled by a very simple Fully Autonomous Unit ]- FAU can be replaced with a cockpit if needed ]- The bare minimum of sensor units required to function
History A very simple and easy to produce unit. The MPMCL-CQK's (Mass-Produced Mobile Core Light - Close Quarters Kit) sole purpose is to wreak havoc in whatever site it's deployed to before being destroyed or self destructing. As such, it's made out of very simple materials and features barely any protection, with only spaced armor plates are used in order to protect it from some small-arms fire, debris, and from HEAT munitions. For its role, it features a high capacity shotgun loaded with napalm munitions, hip mounted napalm cluster rockets, and anti-personnel/light vehicle grenade launchers outfitted throughout the body. These napalm munitions are far more deadly than traditional ones, being capable of completely melting enemy vehicles within seconds and doing the same for fortifications. In the event that the MPMCL-CQK is hit, the most likely scenario will be the unit turning within a puddle of molten metal along with additional shrapnel and debris. In the event that it either completes its objective without dying, gets disabled without setting off its munitions, or runs out of ammo, the FAU will self-destruct and render its systems completely unusable. As such, the MPMCL-CQK can only be described as a walking warcrime.

We start off the show with some random talk about Rick Astley and the history of Rickrolling.  From there Bel talks about getting a Commander tag and going for the obvious best choice…  that Catmander.  Kodra talks about beating Axiom Verge and his struggles with M.A.S.S. oh this looks really cute. the bootleg sawano soundtrack isn't being lost on me and the customisation on their steam page reminds me a lot of M.A.S.S. Builder (honestly, all you'd have to do to sell me on its promise M.A.S.S. Builder with weightier combat)

Annon-Guy: Small break from Guilty Gear, but do you have a favorite Warriors Game(s)? This can even include licensed games like Hyrule, Fire Emblem, Attack on Titan and Berserk in addition to Dynasty, Samurai, Orochi and All-Stars.
The last two Musou games I played extensively were Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 and Berserk (Band of the Hawk).
That said, I actually spent more time playing the former than the latter, simply because I enjoyed making custom blueprint builds for specific units (DeathScythe Hell and Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, among others).
But well... that was long before I got deeply immersed in my obsession with the Gundam Breaker Series (to say nothing of M.A.S.S. Builder).
Of course, I have yet to get my hands on Armored Core 6, as well.
Let's just say I love games that let you craft the ultimate mech.

M.A.S.S. Builder: ATMCM-IFK
A post for the ATMCM-IFK

Specifications (Pasted from the MASS Builder Community Discord)
Basic Information Company: ATMRRI Designation: ATMCM-IFK Height: ~5 Meters Mass: 15 Tonnes

History The ATMCM-IFK (Alpha Triton Mobile Core Medium - Infantry Fighting Kit) is a Mobile Core with a focus on Infantry Support. Majority of its systems have been cut down in comparison to the ATMCH-VCK, though it doesn't feature any thrusters at all due to its focus on infantry support. While the IFK isn't as heavily armored as the VCK, it still features lightweight composite armor and can equip ERA or NERA if needed for additional protection against HEAT munitions. The majority of its armor is designed to deal with HEAT munitions due to the threat of various anti-tank weapons and as a result it comes out far lighter than the VCK that was created before it. This is most noticeable in the legs, as disabling those gets rid of its mobility entirely. The IFK's design is also far cheaper to produce in comparison to the VCK due to the standardization of some equipment and technologies utilized in the Mobile Core Units. Like the VCK it technically can equip a multitude of weaponry to change its role, it also has a Datalink System which is important in order to quickly receive and transfer information with other ATMRRI equipment to increase combat effectiveness and overall survivability.

Anime Central 2022, Friday (Day 1)
If anyone is curious, the Starbucks at the Hilton is relatively quiet for the first hour or so that it’s open, so if you need a Starbucks fix at the con, that’s where I would go. Definitely not the one at the con center, where the line stretched well outside of the café.
Friday morning saw us with the crowd waiting for the dealers’ and artists’ halls to open at 10:00. While the entry hall was decently packed, it was nowhere near as crowded as I recall it being in 2019.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our first pass-through of the area was mainly to scope out artists and vendors we may want to revisit. We checked in on this year’s chalk art as well.
Tumblr media
We ran into the Fandom Father as he was wandering around. Always nice to see him! And I got a sticker and fruit snacks! :D
Tumblr media
The first panel any of us headed toward was the Luci Christian Q & A panel. I’ll be honest in that I don’t remember a lot of specific answers. But I do remember being happy with the variety of questions being asked.
Tumblr media
After the panel, it was a quick trip back to the hotel room to have lunch (leftover pizza for me, yay!) and then off to the Sekai Project panel. For me, probably the most entertaining portion of the panel was the Rock, Paper, Scissors competition at the end for the giveaway items.
Tumblr media
We were intrigued enough by trailers and information at the panel to run down to the Sekai booth pretty much straight after and pick up a copy of M.A.S.S. Builder. Then we hightailed it back to the panel area to catch the Carolina Manga Library’s “What The Heck Did I Just Read?” panel.
For any panels by the Manga Library, I always end up taking pictures of the slides to remember the titles, rather than just trying to type them into the Notes function in Guidebook. I think it’s because after losing my notes in the app a few times, I’ve gotten paranoid that the notes won’t still be there by the time I do my write-up, in case I want them. Not that that’s ever been the case, and when I’m writing stuff a couple of weeks after the con, I wish I had my notes.
Tumblr media
After, I wandered back to the dealers and artists’ area with @shbumi, while Cody trundled off to another panel and @lechevaliermalfet went to rest in the hotel room. Eventually, she and I also split up. Even though I had a large prop with me, it was still easy to navigate the con floor without my companions, as crowds were growing but still not too bad.
Tumblr media
Side note: I bought a Wild Bill’s mug and straw and refill pass, but then skipped getting soda at that moment because of my cosplay and the length of the line. And I ended up not even getting any of their soda all weekend :( @lechevaliermalfet also didn’t get any – he’d forgotten his mug and refill coupon at home. Talk about a bummer! I really should have gone when I snapped this photo of the line - it’s about the shortest I saw all weekend.
Tumblr media
I wandered to the gaming area and as always, got met by the wall of sound. I didn’t stay too long, since I needed to grab dinner before the next item on my agenda.
What was that item? It was the “Nobody is Cosplaying From My Fandom” photoshoot. Honestly, I loved this idea. I think it turned out to be slightly more popular than the organizer had anticipated, however, and she seemed slightly at a loss for ways to group the various fandoms represented.
Tumblr media
We were there as we had spent the day in our Welcome to Night Vale cosplays and this seemed the best chance to show off our group as a whole, complete with @crafty-labrat I got to enjoy carrying around my new, smaller, and lighter Glow Cloud build. I had several people asking me how it was built, and I’m so glad I was more hands-on with this one, as I could answer the questions easily. With the old Glow Cloud, I had to point them to @el-draco-bizarro for answers.
The shoot was the only time that we got a group photo of ourselves.
Tumblr media
We took several photos at the shoot, though I won’t really be sharing many here, as I was off to the side. Sorta makes it hard to tell who characters are, lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the shoot, @lechevaliermalfet, @shbumi, and I headed to the MangaGamer panel. Now, I know the types of games they bring over. I know what they’re typically rated. I went in expecting to get details and maybe some censored trailers. After all, this was a 1930-2100 panel and it wasn’t marked 18+. No one was checking wristbands or IDs when we walked in (about 10 minutes late, due to the photoshoot running right up to panel start time). Heck, we didn’t even see a staffer at the door – which was a common thing for this year, actually. I’m pretty sure they were suffering some staffing shortages.
And yet, when we walked in, there were the anime titties, hanging freely on the screen. No, that’s not a photo I’m going to post of that panel.
Tumblr media
This was another panel where I failed to properly take notes. I did a fair amount of new tabs with game titles on my phone…and naturally, can’t find all of that when digging through my internet history.
After the MangaGamer panel, our group all met up again for the Caitlin Glass Q & A, This turned out to be the last event for the evening for our group – everyone else was basically wiped, and there weren’t any panels that I felt super strongly about. Anime Hell was running, and I considered it, but once you’ve been a couple times, you know what you’re in for and while it’s fun, it wasn’t what I wanted.
Tumblr media
So I went back down to the gaming hall. If you’re going to game at ACen, the best times to actually try to get a game appear to be after 2200 and before about 0930. I spent some time on the Magical Drop II cabinet and then tried my hand at the Magical Tetris Challenge cabinet. I may need to track down a console or handheld copy for myself one of these days.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that was Friday!
