ive watched digimon adventure 2020 like 7 times and i think i deserve to infodump about it >:)

first of all - whats with all the taichi/yamato parallels?? like- i get ith they were present in DA (1999) and a bit in DA 02 but not as much as in the reboot. (BUT WHERE IS THE VENOMVAMDEMON SCENE WHERE THEY HOLD HANDS HUH??? TOEI EXPLAIN YOURSELF—)

second - I. LOVE. THE. ANIMATION. especially in the fighting scenes?? like holy shit- istg toei looked at their budget and put it all into the fighting sequences.

third - i was a bit skeptical going into this because we get omegamon immediately (2nd/3rd episode) which is weird since for DA we get it in the movie (not even in the series!!!) but it was scripted and played well (the episode where he appears is titled "war game" hehe) plus omegamon being a sort of otherworldly digimon that can pass through time and space was really cool :)

fourth - negamon is a bitch, like- algomon did *everything* from gathering data to helping with milleniumon's rebirth and all- AND THE BITCH IS THE FINAL BOSS?? mf is a fat spoiled mommy's boy that grew up thinking everithing was his (he did get his ass handed to him so i can respect that)

fifth - etemon and volcamon are married you can't change my mind

fifth 2.0 - OGREMON MY BABY WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE :((( (he did come back as rebellimon but still) him and leomon were deffo married in DA

sixth - i really love the fact that devimon (once he died) wasn't a 100% jerk, he helped takeru and patamon by giving them a hit on negamon and helped seraphimon not to lose himself during the last fight :)

seventh - the fact that digiworld itself called the digidestined is>>>

seventh 1.2 - i loved the fact that during the crest hunt they didn't have to find the ultimate level or smth like that but had to find themselves (i am mad at the digevolutions' order was but still-) i think that the main reason why taichi's compass was all wonky like that was because he had to connect with everyone by seeing them being the best themselves.

eight - i didnt really like how they prioritized taichi over everyine else- like i get it- hes the leader and all but still i wanted more episodes focousing on the other members of the group like DA did :( (he is my fav charavter so im not complaining lol-)

ninth - THE COLOURS!!!!!! IM AN ARTIST AND THE COLOUR REP AND PLACEMENT WAS 🔝🔝🔝 everytime we got a zoomed out view of the current fight and each of thrm became like a colored star i screamed

tenth - i think that's it for now?? bc nothing comes to my mind anymore lol- ANYHOW this show was very different from its 1999 original but still absolutely enjoyable 9.5/10 i took .5 off because there were A LOT of fillers (especially between wargreymon amd metalgarurumon) and for a series titled "digimon adventure" i expect every episode to be a bit more adventurous? i guess?? (the most unnecessary one imo was mimi-chan wars (ep 37) for me mimi behaved in avery annoying and bossy/demanding way that i generally didn't like :(

other than that i really hope that they make DA 02's reboot too because it would be so fun :)

hi guys so hes . on my mind and i know many of yall could care less but im gonna lore dump on him!!

lore under the cut (warnings for talk on abuse!)

so his full title is cecil the conjurer, and he comes from a line of royal sorcerers. but he was born albino, and completely blind— causing him to be hidden in the shadows, away from the world. the only interactions he’d have were ones with his mother, who despised him for his “weakness”

but he was not weak in the slightest. in fact, he had more power than any of the others in the families lineage, which his mother envied him for. she swore to never teach him proper magic— which he took in stride, forming his own convoluted, corrupted and unstable way of magic. he even formed his own way of “sight” which was a unique form of echolocation, which he prefers more than anything and gives him complete independence.

as a teenager, he ran away and lived a life of travel, doing deeds and small things of magic for anyone who would employ him. at the age of 28, he met a noble man and fell in love with him. but this love was not real, and not love at all— but cecil, who was used to a life of abuse did not see the difference.

years he spent under the thumb of this abusive man, but cecil had no one else to run to. this man was all he had, he couldn’t just leave. he would have nothing. but things got worse and worse— and eventually, he had the nerve to leave at the age of 38. but he did not know, that the relationship had resulted in pregnancy. so he had a daughter, which he named louise. her birth had opened his eyes— that he now had a reason to live for.

by the time louise was two, cecil had found himself in enchancia. this just happened to be around the time cedrics problematic “goals” were exposed, and cecil was hired to work alongside with the sorcerer to keep him in check. cedric and him did Not like eachother whatsoever— bickering whenever they had the chance to.

but something about cecil to cedric— never did he mock him for his magic, never did he poke fun at how he became nervous while doing magic. instead, cecil would lend a helping hand. instead, he was kind.

eventually, the two warmed up to eachother— and louise especially found “ceedric” entertaining.

and thats all blah blah blah BUT!! thats basically the lore and than they fall in love and kiss and love wins

BUT CECIL GENERAL FACTS TIME:

- cecil is a trans man if that much wasn’t obvious by him having a child, hashtag magical transition goes crazy

-he is . 6’4 . he is So tall and it is not great with the fact that his echolocation isn’t always 100% accurate, so a lot of things are broken with him around

- he is always very happy go lucky and smiley even if he doesn’t look like he would be, it’s the autism

- this one isn’t a general fact but . cedric and cecil t4t forever and ever they eventually go on to have another magically produced baby named calina (thats right gotta keep the c names up)

- hes like?? from whatever the sofia the first version of russia is and has the thickest accent u ever did see

i actually watched the first episode of the live action today!!! and yeah i decided i do NOT like mackenyu's acting as zoro. i dont really blame mackenyu for it bc i assume its an issue with the producers or writers or whatever wanting to make him more badass,, but i kind of cant stand it. he has the cool guy vocal fry.... i hate it... i hate that. i looked up videos of mackenyu in like. regular settings! and he seems like a genuinely cool person!! i think if he could channel his regular energy into zoro more.. it would be perfect . i would say that is the perfect zoro. to be fair though he could relax a bit with the cool guy thing later on in the show and i just don't know it yet bc i only watched episode one (holding out hope that thats what happens). overall . besides my issues with zoro being too cool n serious and monotone.. it was actually really enjoyable!! the kobylu moment where theyre stargazing together?? hello??? hello???? for the record i dont really ship kobylu but i do enjoy the ship.. does that distinction make sense.. i hope it does. and also zoro has freckles. i cant get over that... freckles ... he has freckles.. there r a few choices i didnt like (that i cant remember rn) but it was a fun watch!!!!

(though i doubt i ever will, considering i havent in the 10+ years since)

i was actually looking up vocaloid stuff yesterday.. learning The History (i was watching kaito x gakupo mmd's) and i found out nyan cat?? was vocaloid?? originally?? and the version that got popular was utauloid?? i used to play 10 hour nyan cat videos on the tv. this was a monumental discovery. i love finding out that niche internet communities are like . the beginning . of a huge internet meme.. its seriously so interesting. plus i recognized a lot of older popular vocaloid songs!! i had no idea it had seeped so much into my life . without me knowing it.

i was kind of tempted to go see kikuo and bo en live!! im kind of?? a bo en fan?? i listened to that song that was in omori before omori was out (i still dont really know what omori is) and i like a few other songs by them but im not really someone who likes musical artists. i just like a few songs,, or one song,, from an artist,, and then nothing else. i do like quite a few of kikuo's songs though!! most of all i was just tempted bc the timing was right and i noticed they were coming to a city nearby. didnt end up going bc i couldnt justify it!! did u have a good time!? also i saw the miku expo experience,, in portland.. where they just got what was visibly just,, a tv. even as someone who is a Beginner vocaloid fan.. that is so disappointing

my aphantasia isnt really that bad and its not something i notice most of the time, so it doesn't really get in the way. i kind of think it might help me in art because i dont get stuck on the blank canvas part, trying to picture what to draw? idk ive heard a lot of ppl talk abt that being a struggle. i just jump right into it since i cant come up with anything most of the time anyways. other times tho i can picture things very clearly.. i think part of the aphantasia is just that i have autism. and adhd. and i cant concentrate well enough to picture things a lot of the time, especially when i actually want to. most of the time the things i successfully picture are involuntary
