FINALLY finished this art of my Sofia the First OC. Her name is Lenore (epithet: Lenore of the North Star). She's from the kingdom of Wyrmdene - a cold valley which sits below a snowy mountain range that is riddled with dragons. I'd describe her role as "Basically Cedric but valued, appreciated and pretty decent at/enjoys her job". She met Cedric once (alongside Sofia and the rest obv) whilst accompanying her King on a visit to Enchancia (around season one-ish) and she's continued to drop in occasionally to annoy him ever since. Their relationship is... complicated (think frenenies and borderline rivals to lovers).

She's good at magic and uses magic circles to increase the power of certain spells. Since I don't think it's been brought up in StF canon, I like to think that magic circles enhance the power of spells and can be activated with a generally pretty gibberish incantation that is personal to the individual casting it. Most individuals never discover their incantation because of their gibberish nature. In Lenore's case, hers is "Amae Myo".

Lenore likes doing and making things by hand, despite her role as sorcerer implying that she'd do everything with magic. She finds that doing things slowly by hand is therapeutic and good for ones mental health. She likes cooking, drawing and whatever arts and crafts project she takes fancy to in the moment. She enjoys performance and entertaining people (a la my umpteenth Lillith clone). First impressions of her give off an elegant yet friendly air, but one might come to find that she can be occasionally boisterous and crude depending on who she's trying to amuse. She also has a special connection with dragons, and can talk to them in the same way Sofia can understand Clover (this is a 'Lani controls the weather' type situation where the magic is genetic and is just kinda there).

Her opal accessories can be counted in reference to different stars. For example, the one on head headband on its own can be counted as a reference to the North Star, but combined with her earrings and cape fastener, they become the Southern Cross. All in all, she wears ten opals and fourteen pearls.

Yes, her hair is holographic. If I was a sorcerer with that much magic, I'd give myself holographic hair as well (it's an Urusei Yatsura reference). There's a reason her eyes don't know what colour they are and its because she's fucking magic. Her furs? Faux. Magically created. She magic.

I made this drawing at the height of my Sofia the First Hyperfixation which is well documented on this app as it is probably half my posts.

I couldn’t decide whether I wanted her to be a mermaid or a witch so I decided on her being a Merwitch. Her staff bird is a seabird because I figure that makes the most sense for a mermaid though I did consider the possibility that Merwitchs would just have ocean animals but I finally decided that I just like puffins so that’s what it would be.

Her name is Eris Melusine. I think she would be good friends with Lucinda. She likes witchcraft a lot though I’m guessing it would be very uncommon and taboo underwater since Ursula is the only underwater witch I can think of, sure the royal family has magical artifacts but that’s different

This was one of the hardest drawings because Sofia the First is 3d animation and I draw in 2d.

hi guys so hes . on my mind and i know many of yall could care less but im gonna lore dump on him!!

lore under the cut (warnings for talk on abuse!)

so his full title is cecil the conjurer, and he comes from a line of royal sorcerers. but he was born albino, and completely blind— causing him to be hidden in the shadows, away from the world. the only interactions he’d have were ones with his mother, who despised him for his “weakness”

but he was not weak in the slightest. in fact, he had more power than any of the others in the families lineage, which his mother envied him for. she swore to never teach him proper magic— which he took in stride, forming his own convoluted, corrupted and unstable way of magic. he even formed his own way of “sight” which was a unique form of echolocation, which he prefers more than anything and gives him complete independence.

as a teenager, he ran away and lived a life of travel, doing deeds and small things of magic for anyone who would employ him. at the age of 28, he met a noble man and fell in love with him. but this love was not real, and not love at all— but cecil, who was used to a life of abuse did not see the difference.

years he spent under the thumb of this abusive man, but cecil had no one else to run to. this man was all he had, he couldn’t just leave. he would have nothing. but things got worse and worse— and eventually, he had the nerve to leave at the age of 38. but he did not know, that the relationship had resulted in pregnancy. so he had a daughter, which he named louise. her birth had opened his eyes— that he now had a reason to live for.

by the time louise was two, cecil had found himself in enchancia. this just happened to be around the time cedrics problematic “goals” were exposed, and cecil was hired to work alongside with the sorcerer to keep him in check. cedric and him did Not like eachother whatsoever— bickering whenever they had the chance to.

but something about cecil to cedric— never did he mock him for his magic, never did he poke fun at how he became nervous while doing magic. instead, cecil would lend a helping hand. instead, he was kind.

eventually, the two warmed up to eachother— and louise especially found “ceedric” entertaining.

and thats all blah blah blah BUT!! thats basically the lore and than they fall in love and kiss and love wins

BUT CECIL GENERAL FACTS TIME:

- cecil is a trans man if that much wasn’t obvious by him having a child, hashtag magical transition goes crazy

-he is . 6’4 . he is So tall and it is not great with the fact that his echolocation isn’t always 100% accurate, so a lot of things are broken with him around

- he is always very happy go lucky and smiley even if he doesn’t look like he would be, it’s the autism

- this one isn’t a general fact but . cedric and cecil t4t forever and ever they eventually go on to have another magically produced baby named calina (thats right gotta keep the c names up)

- hes like?? from whatever the sofia the first version of russia is and has the thickest accent u ever did see

My Sofia the First AU so far

Outside of OC lore, nothing much has changed.

Sofia doesn't consider Roland to be her dad. She pretends that she does and calls him 'Dad' to keep the peace but she doesn't actually consider him as such. She slowly comes to detest him as the years progress. She also refuses to think of him as "Dad" in private, and struggles to even say the word in reference to him when talking to the few who know her true feelings.

Cedric, the animals, Cordelia and Calista are the only ones aware of Sofia's true feelings about Roland.

She considers Cedric to be her dad, and Cedric considers her his daughter. Cordelia and Calista are like an aunt and cousin to her.

Lenore (OC) exists and sometimes shows up as a reoccuring character to cause shenanigans. She and Cedric have a frenemies/enemies to lovers dynamic.
