At 52 plus, I’m doing great projects. I feel that empowers me.” Says Manisha Koirala

Manisha Koirala, the iconic actress of the 90s recently had an interview with a leading media house where she answered some questions about discrimination related to age in the industry. The actress said that she did not face any discrimination based on her age and has always got projects irrespective of how she aged at the time. She however said that she has received her share of trolling on social media but this never bothered her.

Talking to the media house, Manisha said,  “I haven’t really missed out a project because of that. I think that’s not going to happen. Of course, people do tend to discriminate. They do try to run you down. On social media, they say ‘Oh, you old and you’re this and that’. I think it is natural to grow with age and to have a discrimination for that, is a narrow way of looking at life, that a heroine has to be young and pretty.”

Talking about the troll comments and how she feels when reading them, Manisha said, “I feel it is a narrow-minded approach, but I also realize that I can’t be bothered. Look at other aspects of it. There are so many great roles being written for my age and I’m doing those. At 52 plus, I’m doing great projects. I feel that empowers me.” She added, “I never had this mentality of victimhood. I’m not that kind of a person. Never did even during my cancer. Never did, never. It does not mean that I’m above hurt, humiliation and I don’t feel the pinch; but I just refuse to dwell in it.”

Manisha was last seen in 2018 Netflix anthology Lust Stories. She also acted in the same year in the Sanjay Dutt’s biopic as Nargis Dutt. Nowadays, the actress is busy with her film Shehzada.

It is a matter of great pride for Bihar that once again a grand coalition government has been formed in Bihar, in which Nitish Kumar has become the Chief Minister for the eighth time and Tejashwi Yadav has become the Deputy Chief Minister for the second time. And now the people of Bihar believe that this new government will take Bihar far ahead and will give employment to the people of Bihar as well as the government will try to fulfill its promise. The people of Bihar have got independence from the NDA government after a long time, in such a situation, the people of Bihar are looking even more happy. Now Bihar will move towards rapid development and I am sure it will create a new identity in itself. We should support the new government and live in harmony with each other and follow the orders of the government.

Secondly, today August 16, is also the death anniversary of our former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, so we Indians have a duty to remember him on this day. He was an educated politician as well as a good poet, so Indians liked him even more. He was the Prime Minister of our country India 3 times. He was born on 25 December 1924 in Bateshwar, a small village in Gwalior. And Atal Bihari Vajpayee had formed the BJP party on 06 April 1980, which today Modi ji has made his own identity, which today's people understand that BJP is a party created by Modi ji. Atal Bihari Vajpayee did a lot for India while being the Prime Minister, such as took initiative to improve relations with Pakistan, made India a nuclear power country, developed national highways and airports, apart from this he also contributed in many things. Unfortunately he passed away on 16 August 2018 at the age of 93 due to kidney ailment and we have lost a good politician.

And today 16th August is going on, so let us also tell you that today is also the birthday of our Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and actress Manisha Koirala. Saif Ali Khan was born on this day on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi. And on 16 August 1970, Manisha Koirala was also born in Nepal. Both these artists were very famous at one time and even today everyone knows them and both of them are still working in Indian cinema. So friends, today the date of August 16 is a very special date. We should remember this date, maybe it will come in handy somewhere in the future.

मनीषा ने जिस फिल्म से इंडस्ट्री में कदम रखा था वहीं से उनकी लव लाइफ की भी शुरुआत हुई थी। सुभाष घई की फिल्म ‘सौदागर’के सेट पर विवेक और मनीषा करीब आ गए थे। बताया जाता है कि दोनों एक दूसरे के प्यार में भी पड़ गए थे मगर कुछ वक़्त में ही इस रिश्ते और नज़दीकियों का अंत हो गया।

नाना पाटेकर

दिग्गज एक्टर नाना पाटेकर और मनीषा के रिश्ते की खबरें भी चर्चा में थी। मनीषा को अक्सर देर रात नाना के घर से निकलते देखा जाता था। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक नाना पाटेकर ने इस रिश्ते को सरेआम क़ुबूल भी किया था मगर उन्होंने ही बाद में मनीषा को छोड़ दिया।

डीजे हुसैन

नाना पाटेकर के बाद मनीषा की ज़िंदगी में डीजे हुसैन की एंट्री हुई। डीजे ने मनीषा को शादी के लिए प्रोपोज भी किया था मगर किसी वजह से उनका ब्रेकअप हो गया।

सेसिल एंथनी

लंदन बेस्ड एक नाइजीरियाई बिजनेसमैनसेसिल एंथनी के प्यार में अब मनीषा पड़ गई थीं। उनकी कई पर्सनल तस्वीरें सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल भी हुई थीं। यह भी रिश्ता ज़्यादा वक़्त तक नहीं चला और दोनों अलग हो गए।

आर्यन वैद

सेसिल के बाद मनीषा का नाम अभिनेता आर्यन वैद से जुड़ा मगर ये भी रिश्ता ज़्यादा लंबा नहीं चल सका और दोनों अलग हो गए।

प्रशांत चौधरी

बताया जाता है कि प्रशांत चौधरी के साथ भी मनीषा का रिश्ता बहुत गंभीर था। दोनों सीरियस रिलेशनशिप में थें मगर किसी वजह से दोनों का रिश्ता आगे नहीं बढ़ सका और दोनों को जुदा होना पड़ा।

क्रिस्पिन कॉनरॉय

नेपाल में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई राजदूत क्रिस्पिन कॉनरॉय का भी नाम शामिल है। मनीषा का नाम इनके साथ भी जुड़ा है मगर यहां भी मनीषा को हार का सामना करना पड़ा और रिश्ते का जल्द ही अंत हो गया।

तारिक प्रेमजी

अज़ीम प्रेमजी के बेटे तारिक प्रेमजी के साथ भी मनीषा का रिश्ता रहा है मगर इस रिश्ते को भी कामयाबी नहीं मिल सकी।

राजीव मूलचंदानी

मॉडल राजीव मूलचंदानी के साथ भी मनीषा का इश्क़ रहा है मगर ये रिश्ता भी टूट गया।

संदीप चौटा

म्यूज़िक कम्पोज़र संदीप चौटा को भी मनीषा ने डेट किया है मगर इस रिश्ते को भी मंज़िल  नहीं मिल सकी।

क्रिस्टोफर डोरिस

संदीप से अलग होते ही मनीषा क्रिस्टोफर डोरिस के प्यार में पड़ी। कुछ साल साथ रहने के बाद मनीषा ने इस रिश्ते को भी खत्म कर दिया।

सम्राट दहल

बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस मनीषा कोइराला की शादी नेपाली बिजनेसमैंन सम्राट दहाल से 19 जून 2010 को हुई थी लेकिन यह शादी ज्यादा दिन नहीं टिक सकी और 2012 में इस जोड़ी ने तलाक ले लिया।
