Mostly a ref of the thermal suits the Koopalings wear in the Space Orcs AU, when they're out in space/visiting planets with low temperatures. The design's the same for each one with different colors to match each sib.
As stated above, Ludwig is the only one out of the eight who wears his constantly, due to fear of brumation. He's never gone into such a deep sleep before, and fears he'll never wake up if he does. Nobody knows about this secret fear except Lemmy, with everyone else just assuming he likes the design or feel of the suit.
Lud and the rest of the 'lings each have a magic crown instead of a wand. Like the normal 'verse, the others changed their crowns into accessories they like better (Larry and Wendy's necklaces, Lemmy's ring, Iggy's hair tie, etc.), while Lud kept his crown as is.
Story-wise, Lud meets Dal and the Bros. while the gang's searching for leads on Junior's home. Originally I had it where Ludwig was looking for Junior on his own, but after rethinking it for a bit, I'll say that B-Junes ain't the only one lost; all eight of them are. What starts as a journey to help one lost kid becomes a series of search-and-rescue missions as Mario, Luigi, and Dalex jump from planet to planet in search of their little turtle friend's family once they realize what Junior's trying to say. Think Mario Galaxy combined with Pikmin 4, basically.
Not sure when Lud specifically gets rescued, though I might go in the order you typically fight them in, meaning Lud's found last. By then, Iggy's developed a makeshift translator so the humans and Koopas can finally understand each other, but beating the language barrier isn't enough to get Lud to trust them right away...

The link above is for my Fanfiction.net profile. 1. A sequel to my story, LoZ: Hyrule Heroes, involving Link and Malon's kids, Lyn and Mel, trying to rescue Zeldas sonn Prince Scott, from a ressurrected Vaati and Zant from TP. Along their journey, they travel with a young Rito girl named Sarah, Erma, (the witch from the first story), the desperate Midna who's trying to reclaim her throne, and Flynn's pup, Zeke. A side-plot in the story would be Link and his companions from the first story protecting Hyrule Castle, and Zelda, from Zant and Vaatis incoming forces. 2. A harem crossover, Dragonball Z and Chrono Trigger, involving an OC, Ayla, Maron, (Krillins Ex, not his daughter), Launch, and a few other single women in these universes. The plot I've thought of so far is a young man from the future who ends up travelling through time, and thus, meets the many hot women who fall in love with him. 3. AvP, a female predator named Tia'ra and a male human named Max are trapped on a prison planet with many other humans and aliens. As they try to find a way to escape, as well as fall in love, they meet a Xenomorph whose been experimented on and given human speech and thought, a little girl whose been wrongfully taken there, a woman and her pet Xenomorph, (note, this is my character Violet and Xander from my story, the Android and The Mutant), and a male cyborg, the group find out about a plot that threatens to destroy the universe. 4. OFF, Batter x Queen AU. The Judge sends a regretful Batter to a time before Hugo lead his world to ruin, and thus, starts to form a relationship with the Queen. 5. A continuation of my story, UnderFell Mob. In this, Frisk is now an adult, working with her monster family to maintain peace. Soon, a new menace rears its head to threaten Frisk and those she cares about. 6. Godzilla Apocalypse Story involving OCs, humans and monsters from Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra and King Kong movies. When the world is turned into a wasteland, it's up to a small group of humans to try and create peace between the monsters and themselves. When Ling Ghidorah threatens the last of humanity, it may be up to a certain radioactive creature to maintain peace. 7. Invader Zim X Gaz AU, if this one wins, or if I ever decide to do it in the future, I might do another poll on where you'd want the setting for this AU to be. 8. Tom, Toonamis glorious host, is sent on a Sci-Fi adventure that will have him meet several faces. And they're all his own! (Basically, our current Tom ends up stranded on a desert planet with a new larger, more mobile version of SARA, Georgia the worm, and Clyde 56s, and they end up finding the factory that built Tom, and in doing so, they find the previous models of Tom, but discover that they have their own personalities!) 9. An OC ends up on a cosmic adventure with Quenn Tyr'ahnee, (aka: The Martian Queen on Duck Dodgers). On their journey, the two fall in love as they are chased down by a group of space pirates, (who may or may not look like classic Looney Tunes villains). 10. Years into the future, the Teen Titans, (comic versions mostly), are now lead by a new generation. The son of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, the daughter of Dick Grayson and Starfire, the daughter of Raven and Garfield Logan, an ageing Victor Stone, the grandson of Slade Wilson, and an orphaned monster find themsleves coming together to carry on the legacy of the Titans before them... 11. A crossover between Super Mario Odyssey, and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the story, set in an AU, A weakened Ganon creates a spell that merges his world with the one housing a certain Italian plumber. When he forms a shakey alliance with Bowser, it's up to 2 heroes to save the day. A plumber with his talking cap, and the Hero with the sword that seals the darkness must save their world's from the Koopa King, and the Demon Lord... 12. Who loves Smash Bros? I Do! So I thoight, why not make it into an actual story? Keep In mind, due to so many characters In the games, and several games at that, I made it a more simple plot by making my own that's loosely based on the first game. I will have various characters from certain games In it though. Some as heroes, some as villains, and some as side characters. In my story, a dimensional rift created by Master Hand brings various worlds together. This includes the Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, Link, Fox Mccloud, Samus Aron, Solid Snake, Megaman, Kirby, Red and his pokemon, Ness, Lucas, Donkey Kong, Pit, (aka Kid Iccarus), and Captain Falcon. Characters such as Bayonetta, Lucas, Banjo Kazooie, various Princesses, the Wario Bros, (Yes, I'm putting Waluigi in there), will be forced to hold up together while our heroes work to stop Master Hand and his minions. 13. Mad Marvel. A Mad Max style universe involving various Marvel characters. For my main leads, Spiderman with his Karen AI, She-Hulk, (note that I'm toying with the idea of Spider-Man and she hulk as a couple for this story) Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Wasp, and Thor. The villains would be an immortal Joe version of Thanos, Hela, Magneto, Red Skull, MODOK, Dr. Doom and Abomination. Other characters like the X-Men, Deadpool, the Hulk, and other Avengers would pop up in other groups. The main one is the characters I listed. 14. Spiderman: Great Power. A very loose adaptation of the PS4 game. It has variations, like the action, and certain changes to the story. Such as Peter having his AI Karen and his drone from SM: Homecoming, Peter is in a relationship with She Hulk, he is friends with the Avengers, and side characters like Ned being involved on the side lines. 15. A Ben 10/ Fallout harem romance story. It loosely follows the combined plots of Fallout 3 and 4. An alternate Ben's universe is destroyed by a black hole, and so Paradox, feeling bad for him, sends him to an alternate dimension where he was unknowingly killed by an insane pyronite. Ben is brought to a fallout style dimension where various alien species have come to the Earth before and after the nukes turned it into a wasteland. As Ben works to save this world from being torn apart, he also finds himself in a harem style relationship with various woman from the series. Influenced by the story, "Ben's Harem", by GreyKing46. 16. A Smash Bros AU. In this story, Samus Aran is the captain of a group of space mercs. A fantasy story maybe? When a feared yet gentle barbarian is taken hostage by a tribe of ogres, he is soon thrown into an adventure involving high stakes danger, and romance. He soon finds himself in a relationship with several females! Yeah, trying to delve into harem style storytelling. He finds himself with an orc warrior, a runaway dwarf princess, a human thief, an enslaved centaur, a flirtatious elf, a hard headed goblin and a shy nymph. 18. A simple romance story where Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and Jennifer Walters, She-Hulk, become a couple, fighting against various enemies as members of the Avengers.

Every race on Bagklock Earth, unlike real life Earth, would feel, and resist, that normal 111.8 degree temperature of an mortal Olympian like you would feel someone’s very high fever, expect it is normal.

Space Orcs AU yet again, because I wanted to tweak Dal a little bit, wanted to draw his dog again, and draw B-Junes again, all in one go owo)b
And also wanted to make another space background, thanks to Mario RPG. Stars are pretty...
Anyway more tidbits under a readmore, here we go!
Bowser Junior
During an experiment that Iggy and Ludwig were performing in hopes of improving the travel speeds of their spaceships, an accident caused all eight members of the Royal Brood to be pulled into multiple wormholes and scattered across the cosmos. Junior ended up on a planet filled with Dino Piranhas, and struggled to survive until a trio of strange, squishy creatures found and seemingly adopted him.
While Junior tried keeping his distance out of fear that these squishy folk were actually kidnappers, it didn't take long for his curiosity and need for comfort to overpower any of his fears. He bonded fastest with the purple-maned one; often riding piggyback around the ship or curling up next to him and his fuzzy friend when it's time to sleep. He turns out to be a quick learner when it comes to their languages, easily figuring out short sentences in English and, by courtesy of the red-clad one, several curse words in Italian.
Dalex
A fifteen-year-old human who was snatched in the dead of night while taking his dog out for a late-night bathroom break. Despite his near-overwhelming fear, he teamed up with Mario and Luigi to hijack the ship the three of them were imprisoned on, successfully taking control of the newly-dubbed Starship Mario. It takes a while for Dal to actually warm up to the Bros., but regularly talking about their respective families helps him avoid cracking from under the stress and homesickness.
After rescuing Bowser Jr., Dal becomes the turtle kid's primary caretaker, along with some of the younger Koopalings once they too are found. Before meeting Iggy and subsequently getting a translator built, Dal taught Junior how to speak bits and pieces of English, and can understand his words better than Mario or Luigi. Think of it like "babysitter learning a kid's speech patterns while other people still hear gibberish."
Viridi
Dal's loyal companion and fuzzy baby child. He was abducted alongside his owner and stayed as close to Dal as possible during both their confinement and eventual starship takeover. 'Distraction' was the name of this dog's game, barking at their captors with varying degrees of success during the fight. Hard to tell if they'd never heard a dog bark before or they were actually scared by it, but they got an old-fashioned Mario Bros. Beatdown regardless.
Compared to all the other "crewmembers," Viridi's the most calm, even excited about what awaits them on their new journey. He likes the odd scaly child; those claws give the greatest scritches he's ever gotten in his life (sorry Dally). Of course, being excited and curious isn't always a good thing, as Viridi's go-to method of following his nose can lead to trouble. Of all the times to lose the leash, it had to be during a space adventure... =_="

This pic was originally drawn in the mindset of "Ludwig gets found directly after Junior," but it's mostly scrapped in that regard.
Lud's behavior, on the other hand, is still fair game. After he's found, he refuses to get within ten feet of the humans despite his siblings' insistence that they're harmless. He starts keeping a Star Trek-style log of his time in the squishy bipeds' care, taking note of everyone's actions in case something fishy happens. Which it never does.
He's especially wary of "the purple one," as Dal's the one usually taking care of Junior and therefore the one who could easily harm the kid or otherwise take advantage of Junior's trust.
But at the same time... he can't help but be curious. He's never seen a "hyoo-man" before, and based on how the gang described their homeworld, it sounds like they're deathworlders. Which doesn't make any sense; deathworlders, like their name implies, are said to be much, much more vicious. All the time.
So why are these ones acting so kind...?

Even if B-Junes can't understand the humans watching over him and vice-versa in the Space Orcs AU, that doesn't stop friendships from forming.
He'd only been with these smooth-skinned people for about 2 weeks and is already making a habit of climbing on the purple-maned one. Said purple-mane ain't complaining, if anything he thinks it's kinda cute ;w;

The concept of "Humans are Space Orcs/Deathworlders" had me hooked the second I started listening to readings of the stories/convos folks would make. So of course, I wanted to make an AU of it.
Why Mario? Blame Sparks of Hope, which I recently started playing after letting it sit for almost a week while I played Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Plus it's been a while since I did anything Mario-related, so why not? =w=
Short version is, The Bros. and Dalex are all lost in space after being abducted by aliens (pick a random Mario species and go from there), presumably to be researched/experimented on. Dalex had been snatched first, as the magic radiating from his necklace (which supposedly fell from the sky when he was a baby) was what brought the aliens toward Earth in the first place. Mario and Weeg were grabbed soon after, for the sake of studying more of these strange lifeforms that were apparently natives to what was best described as a "deathworld."
Not that The Bros. or Dal knew this; they couldn't understand a word the aliens were saying to begin with, let alone what they were saying about Earth.
What they DID know, however, was that they wanted OUT, and after stealing a starship, they got just that. Would've been so fucking epic to literally drive a hijacked spaceship all the way back home... if any of them knew where 'home' was. :'D
So their journey is mainly one of finding their way back to Earth, but it's not an easy task. Especially after a certain turtle child wearing a bandanna joins their little crew... ;3c

Your name is Luigi. You've been living a pretty simple life, all things considered. You did pretty well in school, have a stable job, have loving parents, and are blessed with a twin brother that you can always count on, no matter what gets thrown at you.
You were pretty content with your life. Too bad aliens (which, apparently, are real) had to come along and snatch you away from it all.
You had trouble processing it at first. For a while, you figured the light that damn near blinded you and your brother was from a car, and now you were having some weird dream. Even when you awoke to find your hands bound and Mario angrily ranting in Italian at what you could only describe as a turtle clinging to a mini UFO, you initially wrote it off as a dream.
But then you heard whimpering from behind you. And when you turned to look, your heart practically dropped.
You and Mario weren't alone in the cell. There were two others; a teenage boy and what you assume was his dog. That was enough to throw your little dream theory out the window because really, what reason would you ever have to dream about some random kid and their pet?
Mario continued to rant and shout, and you had to call out to him a few times to get him to stop. Seeing the kid was enough to revert him to his trademark Big Brother Mode, and you both tried your best to reassure the younger boy that you both meant no harm.
The boy, who introduced himself as Dalex, explained that he and his dog Viridi have been held in this cell for several days. Like you and Mario, he'd seen a bright light before waking up here, unable to understand the creatures outside. Occasionally he would be brought into what he assumed was an examination room, poked and prodded a bit, and then sent back into the cell. Dalex didn't want to risk himself or Viridi getting hurt, so he just went along with whatever happened.
As Dalex told his tale, something began to well up inside you. You don't get angry often; that's always been Mario's thing. Even now you could see Mario start to glare again, the boy's words adding fuel to your brother's fire.
You really, really don't get angry often. But seeing this innocent kid in tears, scared and confused, held prisoner by beings you thought only existed in fantasy for reasons you can't fathom...
To put it lightly, you were furious.
Unlike Mario, you didn't show your ire. The last thing you wanted was to upset the kid even more; right now he needed a form of security. You made your way to his side, giving him the most awkward shoulder pat in the world (what with your bound hands and all), and told him that you and your brother would help him escape.
You didn't have an answer when Dalex asked "How?" but you were determined to find one, more than you'd ever been in your life.
Several hours later, all four of you were pulled from your cell, likely for an 'examination' as Dalex described earlier. You could hear the creatures talking between themselves, casting glances at the three of you before continuing. For some reason, some of them have a trace of... nervousness(?) cross their face, only for it to be gone as soon as it came. Most of those looks were directed at Mario, whose silent glare seemed to be enough to rattle these... things.
You all turn a corner and hear Dalex's breathing become more erratic. You hear him mumble that this isn't the way to the examination room. His dog whines, and you hear the poor boy sniffle.
Something in the back of your mind sparks. Like a lightning bolt just hit your brain.
You didn't know what awaited you at the end of this walk, and you were not going to find out.
You eye the creature leading the line. A large dinosaur (or maybe a dragon? what with the wings and all-) has what looks like a set of keys on its hip, all in different colors. Three of them match the colors of the weird sparkling handcuffs you've all been wearing this whole time.
You're well aware that the dino-dragon-thing is much larger than you. Much stronger. Taking it on would be the dumbest thing you've ever done in your life. The craziest, even.
But considering how crazy the situation is already, what's a little more to add to the pile?
One of these days, I need to get into making comics or writing entire stories instead of little bitty itty bitty snippets. Because this idea has been sitting pretty in my head from the moment it was presented to me, and even now I still feel that I haven't done it justice. =w="
