I have listened to it! I really really like it. I'm excited to see where they all fit into the show. It definitely feels like a step up from season 1. "Mood" is one of my favorites. I can't really explain it, but I have about 400 different scenarios that run through my head when I hear it. The soundtrack definitely feels like Young Royals. They talked about music a while back and people were posting about how they were nervous for some reason, but this feels like the show. I'm so fucking excited. Here are some more random notes:

"Mom" made me cry. Don't know why, it just did.

I'm fucking excited for "Revenge" to show up in the show. It left me uneasy and excited at the same time. It gives Season 1 vibes but so different.

I cannot tell if "Romance" makes me hopeful or devastated, but either way it makes me want to sob.

Hey....How Are you?

My god, y'all. This show is everything. When I fall in love with shows, I rewatch them over and over again. Usually, at some point, I stop enjoying them as much. I will just watch my favorite parts, and then eventually I just stop rewatching all together (at least for quite a while). Every time I watch this show, I am so enthralled, I never skip anything (with the exception of 2 scenes for OCD reasons). This show gives me such a butterflies in the stomach, sparkly, fire-y feeling and IT DOES NOT GO AWAY.

I have watched it so many times, I've lost count.... and yet, still sparkly, still fire-y. The butterflies are still there, and it just gets better every time. With every rewatch, I seem to notice more details, and fall further in love (as if that were possible!). It is a true masterpiece, and my obsession has gone completely rampant.

I have decided that I needed a dedicated place for all the YR posts I love, and want to go back to. I also decided I want to put my thought out here, while I anxiously await November. I plan to write my thoughts as I rewatch it. It will probably be a bit of analysis, some random things I've noticed, and some hopes/fears for and thoughts about Season 2 (I'll tag with spoilers, just in case). And of course, I will be reblogging a ton of the fantastic content this fandom is creating!!

It feels surreal that tomorrow, less than 12 hours from now, we will finally get to see season two of young royals. I still remember watching season one back in July last year, and falling head over heals in love with the show, the language, the music, the intimacy, the acting, the chemistry, just everything. I remember the agony of not knowing whether there was even going to be a season two for two whole month, then the joy of it being confirmed, then the start of filming in January. I remember telling my flatmate that Edvin had cut his hair so that must mean that shooting was about to start. I remember when season two was wrapped, when the first pictures were released, the endless wait for a trailer, and then thinking it was impossible to wait two more weeks after the trailer came out. But after 15 months it’s finally here - and I just want to take a moment to breathe in and out, and to say thank you to the creators of this show, everyone involved, and to the fandom for making the wait bearable. This feels like the calm before the storm, and for some reason I keep thinking of the line from house of the dragon ‚and then the storm broke and the dragons danced‘, and I feel like tomorrow the storm will break and our dragons will dance, and it will be wonderful and painful and emotional and ecstatic and raw. I don’t even know where I’m going with this, but I really wanted to mark the occasion, because it feels big, and it feels true, and no matter what happens tomorrow, I’m so glad I came all this way, waiting and hoping. I have absolute faith in this show, and I know that whatever happens, we‘ll be fine! Sending everyone watching and engaging with the show in any way a really big hug and lots of love 🏳️‍🌈
