Badger-like sheep bred in Gloucestershire farm first#Badgerlike #sheep #bred #Gloucestershire #farm
Five of the unusual lambs have been born in the past few days A breed of sheep that facially resembles a badger has been successfully bred on a farm in Gloucestershire for the first time. Five Badger Face Texel lambs have been born at Lypiatt Farm in Miserden in the past few days. The breed originates in the Netherlands and is less commonly seen in the UK. They are characterised by dark wool…

Miserden Nursery, very close to here, is still selling plants remotely for local delivery. I am glad their lovely plants are not going to waste as the ones in big garden centres are. Obviously when people are dying and others risking their health and lives to care for them, plants dying aren’t a big thing in comparison. However, I am glad to support a local business and plug a few holes in my garden at the same time.  Here are my newplants having a good drink in a tray before I plant them.

Perfectly clipped hedges and beautifully designed borders at The Gardens at Miserden in the Cotswolds in England. The Gardens at Miserden are truly a gem. If you are in the vicinity and you love gardens go pay them a visit. You won't regret it! There is a nice cafe, too! #hedges #clippedhedges #borders #blue #thegardensatmiserden #cotswolds #england #organicgardendreams #garden #gardens #gardendesign #miserden #beautiful (at Miserden, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom)

The prettiest Cotswolds villages
The prettiest Cotswolds villages
Tumblr media
The Cotswold is one of the prettiest areas of England I have ever been to. Rolling hills, green valleys, quaint villages, everywhere you look is out of a postcard. We woke up bright and early to made the most of the 2 days we had in the region. On the first day, we visited Blockley, Kingham, Stow-on-the-Wold, Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water. It seems like a lot but some villages are…

Spent a couple of hours in Miserden House gardens, expensive, not really worth £7.50 entry each but did get one or two nice shots so you decide.

On Wednesday I went to the newly reopened Miserden Nursery for a low growing pink cranesbill geranium for fill a space. Of course, I came away with three, as you can never have too many geraniums. Max Frei is the bright pink one, Nodosome is the lavender one, and Striatum the pale pink one. Lots of watering ahead for these little ones & everything else I’ve planted this spring... I was lovely to walk around a nursery looking at plants again even even very quickly. Geraniums are the ultimate easy care plant, bung them in the ground & they grow. Cut them back in the autumn. That’s it.

Beautiful and interesting borders at The Gardens at Miserden. Looking at the photo is bringing back wonderful memories of our trip to England in June this year.
