Here it is - a scene from my familiar faces au! I hope you enjoy it!

Tw: cursing, eye trauma, mentions of arranged marriage

Nya grunts in pain as she's thrown to the floor for what seems like the fiftieth time tonight. Scrap N' Tap is always rough - she has her growing collection of scars to account for that - but tonight seems different. Colder, somehow, and so much harsher than ever before. Her ribs are bruised to hell and the blood filling her mouth indicates that she's lost a tooth. The chuckling of the crew slowly falls silent, and her blood begins to run cold as a shadow looms in front of her.

Of fucking course. Why else would the pirates stop holding back unless he wanted something?

"Oh, my dear," and FSM the way Nadakhan calls her that in his sickly sweet tone just makes her want to throw up, "I can tell you're tiring of all of this. Why don't you just give in and stop all this pain?"

Nya spits out a mouthful of blood (and what she's almost certain is one of her incisors) at the djinn. "For the last time, dickbag," she hisses at his disapproving glare, "I'm not wishing for shit."

Nadakhan sighs as he floats closer, ignoring her attempts to flinch back. One thing she’s learned since being stuck on the misfortune? The captain has no fucking sense of personal space. It’s a trait that makes her shiver with disgust, especially when conversation circles back to the reason theyre stuck in this tango.

Speaking of which…

“My crew have been searching day and night, and your friends are still nowhere to be found.” Nadakhan’s golden eyes steadily burn a hole into her soul. She looks away, favoring the sight of her blood dripping onto the deck over that of the djinn’s face. “It seems that they are particularly good at hiding where I cannot see. But, my dear, you’ll come to find-” he grabs Nya’s throat in a bruising grip, ripping a strangled gasp from between her teeth as she's choking again, she can't breathe she can't breathe she can't breathe - "I always find what I'm looking for eventually. The other ninja will be in my grasp within the month, and once I have them? They will know pain like nothing they have known before, I swear to you."

He throws her to the floor once again. Her bruised ribs cry out in agony, but the feeling of air entering her lungs again drowns out the now familiar pain. A calloused hand finds its way to her hair, twisting a loose strand, and once again Nya has to fight back the urge to vomit.

"It doesn't have to be that way if you could just tell me where to find them. I can be merciful, and while it cannot be denied that I used to despise you for destroying Djinjago, it was not your intention to do so. Ever since you joined us-" ha, joined as if my only other choice wasn't to let you have him - "I have found it harder to argue against your usefulness. You would make a brilliant pirate, my dear."

Nya gives the djinn no response other than a scoff. She would rather die a million times than to see the day she'd willingly take orders from this son of a bitch. He sighs and turns his back on her, floating towards the center of the Scrap N' Tap arena. She wishes she had a knife to plunge into his spine.

"Your friends would not need to suffer, either, as long as they agreed to cooperate as well. I could let you all help me in my rule over Ninjago. It is... unfortunate that your brother and the nindroid were too late for this deal, but once I have my Delara back and receive infinite wishes I could be persuaded to bring them back-"

"HIS NAME IS JAY, YOU BASTARD!"

Nadakhan freezes. The rest of the crew falls eerily silent as well. Nya has been in control of water long enough to know that this is what it feels like in the calm before a raging storm.

"What did you just say to me?" The djinn asks, his words knife sharp. He turns to face her once again, and shit he's fucking enraged. It takes everything in Nya to glare back at him when her brain is telling her it's not safe run away DANGER RUN-

"His name is Jay, not Delara. I don't give a shit that he looks like your dead fucking fiancee - they could be twins for all I care - that doesn't change the fact that he's his own person. Delara is dead, Captain, and I'd rather gouge out my own eye than let you marry him because you think it will bring her back."

Nadakhan's nostrils flare as he flies towards her, arm outstretched as if to hit her. Nya can't help it - she flinches away, squeezing her eyes shut as she waits for the blow to come.

It doesn't.

After a few tense seconds, she looks up again. Nadakhan floats there, a peaceful look across his face as if he hadn't appeared ready to end her fucking life a moment before. Has he somehow managed to calm himself down

"Let me get this straight, my dear," and nope, he's even more angry than he was before, if the way his words drip with icy venom are a hint of his current emotional state, "Despite what you say about your precious Jay, I'd know my beloved anywhere. He may go on believing that he is not her, but once I have him in my grasp - and I will have him - he'll be whoever I say he is. And once I wed him and gain infinite wishes, I will be able to bring back the soul of my beloved Delara from the departed realm. With her spirit in his body, we will be reunited at last!"

Nya has to actively fight her nausea as she looks at the djinn's dreamy expression. Pure unadulterated horror courses through her. She knew that the djinn wanted to marry Jay under the delusion that he was a reincarnation of his bitchass fiancee, but for him to blatantly admit that he didn't give a single shit about Jay's thoughts and feelings on the matter - to admit to his plan of letting Delara permanently possess his body??? - makes her actively sick.

"You're a monster," she gasps, and it only makes him grin sadistically. "Jay will never marry you! He'll fight back every step of the way, and so will I!"

"My dear, Jay doesn't get a choice. No matter what, I will wed him and we will rule Ninjago together. And as for you..." His grin only grows wider as he looks away from her to admire the gleaming metal of his hook. He gestures to Dogshank and before she knows it the beast of a woman is restraining her, and despite her struggling she won't budge. "You're very against this wedding, aren't you? In fact, if my memory hasn't betrayed me, I recall you saying you'd 'rather gouge out your own eye than let me marry him'.

Nya freezes. The djinn is getting closer, too close, and the way he's gazing at his hook sends a bolt of terror through her. "I - I didn't actually mean that!" she stutters as her efforts in struggling against Dogshank double in intensity. She's completely unable to move, however, and her breathing gets harder and faster as Nadakhan raises the curved blade to just above her left eye. He wouldn't really, would he?

Nadakhan pauses, golden eyes roaming over her terrified face with amusement. "You didn't?" He asks, faux disappointment drowning his voice. He begins to pull away his hook, and the sigh of relief she lets out is embarrassingly audible.

"I guess I'll just have to do it myself, then!"

The hook pierces her eye.

The pain is instant and blinding. it's so much worse than every other injury she's faced as a ninja. It courses through her veins, hot and heavy, with no sign of stopping.

The hook digs deeper and though she can't hear anything she knows she lets out a scream as she feels it tear through her eye, ripping through nerves and tissue. The pain whites out her brain, she can't think of anything else, she can't breathe, she can't see-

It feels like minutes of agony as the blade twists and digs through her eye socket, hell bent on causing as much pain as possible. It's working. She simultaneously can't feel anything but her eye and feels every inch of her body as all of her nerves echo with pure blinding excruciation.

Then the hook freezes, and she's only given a brief reprieve from the pain before it yanks out of her socket, taking her eye with it.

The blinding pain overwhelms her again as nerves are ripped from the space her eyeball occupied moments before. Through her ringing ears, she can hear someone screaming. A minute later, she realizes that those are her cries.

She's dropped unceremoniously to the floor by Dogshank, where she lies in a growing pool of her own blood. The pain is still coursing though her, but it slowly ebbs... along with her consciousness.

Through rapidly closing eyes - eye, she only has one now - she can see Nadakhan as he floats towards her crumpled form. He lifts her chin gently, seemingly admiring his handiwork. Not has never been this tired. At this point, the pain is set aside as her body shuts down. Nadakhan tuts at her visible exhaustion and wipes away her tears (when did she start crying? She can't bring herself to care).

"Poor girl," he mumbles, his mournful tone a sharp contrast to the (rapidly blurring) smirk on his face. "This wouldn't have had to happen if you had just told me what I wanted to know."

Fuck that. She gathers the last of her strength as she glares at him and rasps, "'m not tellin' you shit".

Nadakhan scowls, but it quickly turns into a self satisfied smile. "Even in a time like this, you still have your fire. Good. And as for you 'not telling me shit', I believe you now. But mark my words, my dear..."

Nya is drifting off; Nadakhan's voice is getting more and more muffled as she sinks into her exhaustion. The last thing she hears are the djinn's parting words to her.

"Jay and the rest of your friends will be mine eventually. In fact, I doubt I'll have to look much longer. I guarantee you that they'll come to me themselves."

SO DO WE LIKE IT

this took me a crazy short amount of time compared to most of my writing. I'll have to thank @tornoleander for that because I listened to the girl with one eye (Florence + the machine) like you mentioned when talking abt my au and DAMN it got me in the mindset for this like nothing else lemme tell you. If there were to be a ff!au playlist at some point that would definitely be on it (along with nothing by Emily autumn because that gives me serious jay and nadakhan vibes lol)

Im probably gonna edit this soon because I'm so tired and this is probably shit rn. Bear with me though the typos fam.

jay is the son of libby and technically a prince, but rainwings do not keep track of their eggs and therefore he is not aware of this

garmadon moved to the sky kingdom to train under chen a long time ago, but later left and was cursed by clouse to slowly lose his sandwing traits and turn evil. harumi heard of these stories and left to go find garmadon bc she believes he can overthrow chen and make her queen

morro and harumi are more like antiheroes than villains

there’s like a ton more lore and i honestly have the full thing fleshed out so please ask me questions if you’re interested and i’ll try and make some art for it!!!!!

skybound bad end au thoughts

this is more or less copy pasted from twitter. edited slightly

warning for mentions/thoughts of suicide

this is EXTREMELY depressing you have been warned

ive been thinking about it. as a fic, in written form, i think there really wouldnt be much of a story. it Is the "end" after all. it would be mostly a snapshot of jays life after the events. and it would also be the most miserable fic in the tag. like. it would be. pure misery. supremely depressing and without even an ounce of hope.

at that point everything thats done to him is just punishment or an act of senseless sadism. depends on the perspective. jay would see as punishment for the things hes done. just karma.

in this bad end au, i think jay would just be a toy. a little plaything for nadakhan and his crew. and delara. he doesnt have much purpose now but why not just keep him as entertainment. until the doll breaks. if he hasnt already. they can just throw him away then

i think it would be best if it has a open ending......... this bad end has the potential to go REALLY dark. but like too much doesnt taste that good you know? like... easily it could go the suicidal route. or jay being literally broken to the point hes killed. too dark you know?

but like..... i like there to be some hints of possible paths to jays ultimate fate.... its ambiguous but the setup is there.... the beginning signs... like...

jay becoming ill. sick from who knows what thing that has been done to him. an infection? exhaustion and overwork? its not much but its small things like that. a persistent cough or headache. the flush of a fever. his physical health is down the gutter

jay wishing things would end. entertaining a distant thought while he looks over a ledge miles above water. waving the idea away but the feeling of it doesnt truly leave.

maybe hes denying himself of that escape on purpose. that he doesnt deserve a reprieve. hes got a massive guilt complex that pins him there, on that ship, suffering because he knows he deserves it. a part of him is a coward still too. hes scared of taking the leap of the ledge.

the things jay feels are so complicated. he wants to die, hes scared of dying, he doesnt deserve to live but he doesnt deserve to die. he deserves to suffer. he trapped until someone else takes him out of his misery. but no one will.

its much more fun forcing him to dance till he falls apart. hes going to at this rate. a part of him wants to. but another part tells him that he shouldnt. hes the only one left of his friends whos still here. that part of him tells him that he has to live for them

complicated complicated feelings. maybe another part of him hangs on because nya is still here. sorta. a tiny part of jay thinks maybe he could save her at least. that part of him is crushed tho. because he really cant. he has no way. he has no wishes and no powers. utterly hopeless

he has to watch "nya" dance with nadakhan. like the two are on their honeymoon. he has to watch nadakhan take nya all for himself. like a precious prize. in his hand like a trophy. it hurts most when she decides to play with jay herself tho, when she toys with his heart. when she hurts him herself.

theres no good way this can end. theres so many ways that this can end. each and every one is as miserable and hopeless as the last. jay has no hope of happiness whatsoever.

jay may not necessarily die soon. but chances are he will die on that ship. eventually.... someone or something will kill him one way or another. but you dont get to know how or what. theres no good way to go though.

man this is the most depressing thing ive ever written lol. jay would be so depressed lmao.......... i did say this would be the most miserable fic. theres something fun about entertaining this bad end tho...... like everything sucks.... but vibes.... love misery.

MAKES ME FUCKING LOSE MY MIND........... ALSO IM THINKING ABOUT JACKET SYMBOLISM AGAIN....... I HAVENT TALKED ABOUT IT HERE SO IM JUST GONNA TALK ABOUT IT NOW

some time back i started thinking about the emotional significance/symbolism of mks fucking jacket. this jacket specifically.... was given to him by mei........................... it was her gift to him....... its his new look in s3... but it ended up burning the same way as mei did......... MEIS JACKET WAS LOST LIKE SHE WAS................ it burned as mk tried to save her..... she continues to burn in order to save him.... ough.......... fuck i might be reading into this too much BUT. THERES AN ATTACHMENT THERE........ its symbolic...... THIS JACKET REPRESENTS OF BOTH THIS SEASON AND MEI. AND HER FRIENDSHIP WITH MK....... IT HAS GREEN!!!!!!!! HER COLOR!!!!!!!!!! AND RIGHT HERE. IN THIS MOMENT. IN THIS GIF. IN THIS SCENE IN WHICH MEI HAS BEEN CONSUMED BY FLAMES, ENGULFED IN RED AND BLACK, LIKEWISE THE SAME FUCKING THING HAPPENS TO HIS JACKET..... THE GREEN IS GONE. SWALLOWED UP BY RED HEAT.. and by the end, its gone... and then so is mei..... this is such a gorgeous fucking transition of a scene and im absolutely obsessed with it............

ALSO THIS JACKET LOOKED SO FUCKING GOOD I LOVE THIS ATTIRE SO MUCH BUT ITS ALREADY GONE AND IM SO FUCKING SAD ABOUT THAT BUT FUCK THE IMPACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT LEAST IT WENT OUT IN BLAZE.... ICONIC JACKET TRULY.........

and also actually... i extended these jacket symbolism thoughts to the previous seasons also and... didnt mk stop wearing his monkey king jacket...? yall, you know, in the same season that he didnt have his powers? in my personal opinion i felt like monkey king is much less of a mentor figure in s3...... that he has ever been. s1-s2 is all about mk being sun wukongs successor.. which matches the jacket.... Hes The Monkie Kid. and thats his identity. but s3 absolutely had more mei focus..... and that jacket had green but no monkey.... hey.......... fucking i could be talking out of my own ass but if i think of this as a theory also...... mk is wearing pigsys jacket now...... what if they do some dad relationship focus next season also..... of course i could be entirely wrong but MAN. i would love to see some jacket symbolism like this again... would love to see consistency with my analysis and be freaking validated by that..... WHO KNOWS IF IT WILL HAPPEN CONSIDERING THE STATE OF THINGS S3 HAS LEFT OFF ON.... THERES A LOT OF THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT.... but yooooooo. i want dadsy. gimme that parental relationship with mk specifically. i want it....

anyways JACKET. IT CARRIES SOMETHING. IT POSSESSES A CERTAIN LINK TO MKS IDENTITY..... its a essential part of mks look. its iconic and its noticeable when it fucking changes. they literally had a magical girl sequence when mk changed his jacket in s3. they drew attention to it, they made a big deal out of it. so i like to believe. that what ive said so far. has a measure of truth. weight. significance. and that im not freaking crazy. about this specific thing anyways. thanks for listening to my tedtalk

For the Trans ur Ninja AU, would Lloyd kidnap Juleka’s parents and force her to join him or marry him?? Also how would Nadakhan try to marry since Bao is a boy, Juleka maybe??

Yes, Lloyd did infact try to kidnap Juleka's parents in order to have her join.

Juleka went right in to the junkyard, looked Lloyd dead in the eyes-

And beat the crap out of him.

Quick rescue 10/10.

And I thought ahead, Colette is the one to be kidnapped in the season since she looks the closest to Delara. She is also a prime target since Nadakhan steals her element via chronosteel to rip the larger portions of land from Ninjago.

Let me tell you, I was 100% ready to Get Into It on my whole Vengestone "theory" and its deep connections to the Oni and the First Realm but that's a tangent best saved for another post. I don't quite consider it a theory, just because with my Written in Stone AU I'm remixing Ninjago's pre-established lore and it fits best in the context of that AU. Plus, it is pretty extensive and I can already tell this is going to be a long post. I'm sorry this took so long to answer, Vengestone post to come soon 😅 I'll be sure to tag you in it!

That being said, YES, this AU is 1000% to blame for my Ronin brainrot, so I raided the Ronin tag as one does the kitchen for midnight snacks. I am not sorry.

Finally, of course: Aspheera's role.

So far, I havent established a whole lot about Aspheera's role in Written in Stone, I like to jump around quite a bit in the timeline when I'm developing plot. Speaking of which, I don't think Aspheera will be post-Overlord: I'm trying really hard to save the Overlord for last in my roster of villains. I have some really great ideas for him, and I cant wait to get to him.

Anyways, we're getting off topic: Aspheera. I really liked how her past with the Garma-brothers set her up to become a villain, so I wont be touching that too much. I'm not too sure about Aspheera's escape, just because with all of my pre-existing alterations to canon lore and all that, it doesn't work anymore. In fact, I'm not too sure Aspheera should even be ALIVE. Like, the rest of her kind are DEAD and she's been IMPRISONED for 1,000 years (I think) . . . something doesn't add up. So, being revived is an option. The Grundle was wished back from extinction, I don't see why the same can't be done for her.

And speaking of wishing, Nadakhan! 🥳

I was considering before, whether Aspheera and Nadakhan should join forces and the answer has only ever been a resounding yes from myself and others. They'd be so OP together

And now that I've brought Nadakhan into the mix, and with Aspheera needing to be revived, and Nadakhan's limitations, well someone needs to wish Aspheera back into the land of the living, don't they? Who better than fellow Serpentine enthusiast Master Emperor Chen himself?

I imagine Aspheera and Nadakhan would form a pact pretty quickly and cross Chen as soon as he used his three wishes- but also Nadakhan has a tendency to just. not stick around and find other people to pawn wishes off of so... idk, Nadakhan's a fun element in all of this to play around with. but also messy. VERY messy.

Aspheera, if she ever does use her wishes, or if Nadakhan manipulates her to, she'd probably wish for something to increase her/their power, a staff of spinjitzu or minions or something... MAYBE even that Amber-like power, which... Skylor 👀👀👀👀

I did also have a few ideas for the Serpentine and their apparent species-wide connection to the Elemental Powers. This is also true of other (i hesitate to say super-powered but) races like the Djinn, the Oni, Dragon, ect. so here are a few screenshots from my discord:

But back to Nadakhan and his role, I don't want him to creep on Nya bc thats just. a little much. And also, I don't think it's ever mentioned how when he realizes that Nya looks pretty much identical to Delara that they must've been the same/of similar age so Delara couldn't have been more than a TEENAGER when he knew her... First Ronin, and now this, come on, Ninjago writers 🙄

Other than that, Nadakhan has one other major role in this plot, and that's with Jay. More specifically, his biological parents. I don't think Nadakhan was used to his fullest potential back in S6, and with his shape-shifiting abilities, I would have LOVED to see him manipulate Jay AS HIS FATHER(?). I made a meme about this awhile ago, and I'll link it if I can find it. but I just think Nadakhan has SO MUCH potential and I am positively THRILLED to use it.

There's another plot idea for Aspheera I had awhile ago that I don't think I've talked about here: DIY Great Devourer. There's a lot about DIY Great Devourer I could talk about, but the one I most want to talk about are the candidates. Plural. Before, I was really considering Pythor- I mean, boy ATE his entire tribe. Uncanny. And then I was rewatching the episode Aspheera was introduced in for this post and I noticed something peculiar...

Consume. all Ninjago. Hmm...

Continuing down that line of thought: the Fangblades are necessary for a Great Devourer and what are they made of? The Great Devourer's Teeth. I did find a little conflict between whether the Fangblades were made of the Great Devourer's Teeth OR some sort of silver metal, but I did find it interesting that the Trivia mentioned that they were made from the "original teeth" of the Great Devourer.

Does this mean that the Great Devourer we see in Rise of the Serpentine wasn't the original? or that it has a set of false teeth? I mean, it did bite Garm (in canon, at least) so...

Now, for the sake of Written in Stone's lore, lets say there was an Original Great Devourer AND that the Fangblades were made with it's teeth... now, who does that remind me of?

Ninjago - Non-Human Au

((Here’s the more detailed version of what’s going down in the Non-human au. Kai’s design has also changed a bit from when I first drew him a while ago.))

Zane Julien

Zane becomes a golden nindroid.

After the overlord was defeated for the second time and Zane rebuilt himself, something was different. He still had his element, but some of the gold power was there as well.

During his time at Chen’s, the golden power solidified and bits of gold started to grow out of his body, eventually stopping but he now had unremovable bits of gold sticking out of his body.

He can’t quite access the power in the elements, but sometimes certain parts will light up with the elements of his friends (eg. one of the bits of gold sparking electricity or setting itself on fire). His ice element has also become more powerful because of this, sometimes he accidentally freezes things though.

He isn’t quite alone in this new form though.

Kai Smith

Kai becomes an Anacondrai.

When Skylor and Kai had been caught by Chen, just before the spell is said, Chen decides to be ‘generous’, because he did make Skylor so happy. He gets his cultists to tattoo an anacondrai on Kai, allowing him the ‘honour’ of turning into an anacondrai.

As an anacondrai, Kai would look similar to all of the regular anacondrai warriors, except for some more reddish scales in places and a frill of fire (like Aspheera) he can choose to have on or off.

Cole Brookstone

Cole becomes a ghost dragon.

It’s a personal head canon that all ghost dragons were once ghosts that had gone insane and turned into dragons as a result. During the battle against the preeminent, Cole has to force this transformation wither to save himself or someone else. By the time he turned back, there was a few permanent additions to his new form.

He had wings, horns, claws and a tail, his teeth were sharper and sometimes his eyes would flash red. He could breathe a ghost-fire like substance. He was a bit more resistant to water now, but not by much.

After the day of the departed, the rift of return is unable to make Cole human again due to his ghost dragon transformation. But, it does make him a bit more solid and help with his disappearing issue.

Jay Walker

Jay becomes a tiger widow hybrid.

He barely notices as he’s dangling over the edge of a cliff with the others that the tiger widow’s fangs graze his leg. Then he doesn’t have much time to dwell on it as Nadakahn and his pirates snatch him away.

The transformation happens over a few days on Misfortune’s Keep, only making his time there worse. he grows dark brown and stripy fur all over his body, six extra eyes, two extra pairs of arms, claws, fangs and venom.

After the final wish, he thought everything would go back to normal. But the changes just started again

Nya Smith

Nya becomes a djinn.

After being forced to marry Nadakahn and Delara being revived through her, Nadakahn used his newly found powers to begin her transformation into a djinn. When the tiger widow venom was used, she wasn’t ‘djinn enough’ to survive the venom yet, so Jay still had a reason to make his final wish.

She now has four arms, orange skin and a wispy djinn tail. Due to her legs being replaced by the djinn tail, she now has to float everywhere. She also has djinn abilities, such as being able to teleport and grant wishes, though these wishes often go wrong unintentionally and Nya hates granting them.

Like Jay, the final wish didn’t completely reverse the effects of her transformation, instead making it start over.

Lloyd Garmadon

Lloyd becomes a dragoni.

When he goes down into the oni cloud with Garmadon, the oni energy in the cloud starts reacting with his oni blood. The transformation starts a few days after the oni are defeated. His oni traits started surfacing, his dragon traits doing the same to retain balance.

He grew wings, a tail, two extra arms, dragon claws, oni teeth and horns. He gained black markings over his hands and arms and gold markings on his face and torso. Scales and fur pop up in patches over his body, mostly with green, gold or black in colouring.

The transformation isn’t quick or easy, but once it’s done, Lloyd is left looking a lot more like ‘god’s grandson’ then he did before.

quick summary of all my jade multiverse aus (under cut for length, more will be added with time because i keep fucking making aus for the jade multiverse (i literally made another one while working on this post, can you guess which one it is))

jade multiverse (show)

⇢ jade dragon: main verse. follows the canon series for the most part with my si isekai’d into the world as the green ninja. main ship is rockcandyshipping.

⇢ darkley’s dragon: au where the ninja all went to darkley’s together. they all have been friends since childhood because of this. main ship is polyelements.

⇢ jade children: au to the darkley’s dragon where the overlord attacks several years earlier while the ninja are all still students at darkley’s with 0 training. they have to quickly learn how to use their powers to defeat him. main ship is polyelements.

⇢ jade oni: au where my si wasn’t saved by his dragon parent and was instead raised as an oni. because of this he’s different personality wise, more cruel, but does soften up over time. during march of the oni he betrays the team to aid the oni, but then eventually turns on them, returning to the ninja. main ship is rockcandyshipping.

⇢ jade pirate: au where corrin shows up much earlier than expected. he is found by delara, who he befriends and is convinced to join nadakhan’s crew. when nadakhan’s crew is banished he is sent to the cursed realm for his punishment, where he becomes a ghost and is freed post-possession. he starts off aiding his original crew but eventually switches sides and joins the ninja. main ship is outcastshipping.

⇢ jade serpent: au where corrin shows up much earlier again, and is eventually passed on to the pyro vipers. he is eventually taken in by king mambo v and raised by him, growing up as a close friend to aspheera. he is the initial reason wu and garmadon when into serpentine territory and is there when aspheera frees them. he also learns spinjitzu alongside her. when she overthrows king mambo v, she used fangpyre venom mixed with pyro viper blood to turn him into one of them. he later managed to escape her and is the one to tell wu and garmadon what’s going on. after aspheera’s defeat he spends a lot of time traveling ninjago until he encounters lloyd thousands of years later and befriends him. no set main ship.

⇢ jade heavens: god au. my si and the other elemental masters are all gods. basically just fun made up mythology for ninjago. main ship is polyelements w/ background polyponytails bc i love that ship.

⇢ jade reincarnation: kinda a sequel to the jade heavens au. basically a no powers/modern au where all of the ninja are normal people in a normal world with no supernatural creatures or powers. once again, main ship is polyelements.

⇢ jade family: corrin ends up in the world of ninjago earlier and becomes a student of chen alongside clouse and garmadon. he eventually leaves and joins the elemental alliance. corrin and garmadon eventually get married and have twins, but one of the twins is kidnapped and presumably killed. eventually helps wu train the ninja years later. main ship is secretshipping, later becomes rescueshipping.

⇢ jade fugitives: au of jade family. au where both wu and garmadon are evil, believing only one side (light/darkness) can exist. this leads to corrin forming an alliance with the overlord because neither wish to die. it mostly focuses on corrin’s allegiance with various inhuman species in ninjago. no main ship.

jade multiverse (movie)

⇢ chipped jade: main movie verse. corrin was the leader of the original team ninja and the original green ninja. after a nearly fatal injury in which he’s left permanently injured, he retires and, eventually, passes his title (and abilities) onto lloyd. main ship is summerbreezeshipping.

⇢ lost jade: basically the movie version of the jade family au. corrin is the ex of garmadon and lives with harumi, lloyd, and koko (the last of which had abandoned her title as a warlord to help corrin care for his kids). he ends up tagging along with the ninja during their journey, and eventually reveals his place as the original green ninja. main ship is secretshipping.

⇢ reverse jade: roleswap au for the lost jade verse! my si is the warlord and garmadon cares for harumi and lloyd. as opposed to canon movie garmadon having no interest in being a parent, corrin desperately wants to be a parent to the twins but garmadon is worried about their safety. main ship is secretshipping.

A cohesive guide on my ninjago aus

Bad End Mechanics: Ninjago is destroyed and ⬧︎♋︎❖︎♏︎❍︎♏︎◻︎●︎♏︎♋︎⬧︎♏︎ is the culprit. To repent they are bound to an interdimensional prison, where they meet their long lost and dead family again. A story focused on grief, redemption and learning to love yourself and others again. The main characters being (of course) the characters making up the Mechanic polycule. Featuring: Prime Emperor Jay, Djinn Queen Nya, Overlord Pixal, Ice Emperor Zane, Preeminent Cole, Staff Kai and of course the Son of Garmadon himself Lloyd.

Sleeper Agent Pixal: Just before dotd, just as Nya and Jay started to act secretive and weird, Pixal goes missing… Zane is distraught and is desperately searching for his other half only to find nothing. Meanwhile, a new and mysterious Samurai X starts busting small crime rings and becoming more popular with Ninjagos population. But when a new underground crime ring starts becoming more and more dangerous, things start to go downhill super fast.

DroidSwap: What if Pixal and Zanes roles were reversed? What if Pixal was the master of ice and Zane the bodyguard, assistant and son of the elusive inventor Dr. Julien?

Ninjagoronpa: Generic d4ng4nr0np4 au in which the ninja and some assorted allies/enemies are forced to participate in a killing game, their memories missing and their torment broadcasted for the world to see.

Delara Stays: After Delara finds out about Nadakhans plans and Nyas young age, she decides that she’d much rather protect this young girl from the same fate as her and to overthrow her ex. After Nadakhans defeat Delara finds herself bound to Nyas soul even after the reset of the timeline, motherhood ensues.

For your new Au, why is called "Misfortune love"?

Thanks for asking. Well it’s called misfortunes love because this romance between Delara and Nadakhan will bring her misfortune.

You see in this Au Delara isn’t the first woman that falls victim to Nadakhan. In this Au Nadakhan is also very evil like I in Cannon but he is much scarier. Nadakhan is soul dealer dealing with souls and collecting them and devouring the bodies of his victims that’s how he gains more power without the sword of souls. He is a very influential person because of his soul-dealing and manipulation skills.

He somehow gets obsessed with her when he was at the opera where she dances, he decides he will have her no matter what and he even put a curse on her that she will never be able to see past the million he makes her to see.

Aka she will see what only he allows her to see for example if he takes her to a dark forest, she will see it as romantic and the forest to look enchanting not like straight out from a horror film.

This however will only bring her misfortune isolating her from everyone making her his and only his.

The trailer or will show only the romantic part aka the way it’s supposed to be cause of the curse while the reality is much darker and scary.

I hope I will be able to drop it till the 27th.

i think you’ve seen s6 right? could i get a rant (or just ur thoughts) abt the misfortune’s keep crew? they don’t get much love but i wanted to know what you thought of them

My guy,, I’ve made a whole AU where these guys are a main focus, you think I don’t love the Misfortunes Keep crew??

(And yes, I’ve seen every season at least twice now haha,, I’ve probably watched season 6 now like--three timesghjgh)

The misfortunes keep crew, MKC because I’m lazy, were wooonderful. I love each of them and their personalities and how they bounce off of each other.

(First, I wanna say that I loved how they all, mostly, came to rise against Nadakhan after he didn’t need them anymore, and how they all chose to fight for what’s right.... THIS GOT ERASED THANKS TO J A Y,,, My children had such lovely arcs and that just whoop gone,,,)

Now onto my opinions on the actual crew.

Clancee is just an absolute baby and I think he has some confidence issues of self-confidence problems. He’s jittery but generally nice. He really only joined the MKC because he felt like he didn’t belong to the serpentine, which is something that really hits to home. I’m sure a lot of people have felt that way in their lives at least once and it was really nice to see that, although his position wasn’t the best, he still felt needed on the crew. He enjoyed being there even if he was just the around cleanin’ the place. It’s what made him happy.

He was also the nicest (most of the time) to Jay when he was captured, because they were actually vary similar. And he was also one of the first to see that maaayybe Nadakhan aint so great after all.

Doubloon was fun because we hadn’t really had many enemies that knew spinjitzu at the time S6 came out, and it was nice to think about how he came to learn it. I also like how it shows another side to Nadakhan kinda. Since yes, Doubloon was trying to steal from him, but Nadakhan was still impressed by his ability and took him on board.

Which either makes me think that Nadakhan did genuinely have a soft spot for em and his crew, or he was truly using them all as a means to an end, even before they were known pirates. He’s the mute, freakin cool, badass mo fo of the crew and I like em.

Dogshank is wonderful all across the board. I found it so funny that she’s freakin huge and could easily whip yo ass faster the the weekend---Her interactions with Nya always made me laugh because I feel like, under different circumstances, Dogshank would easily be able to fit in the “girls club” with like--Skylor, Pixal. She always wanted to be the best at whatever she did, and stand out in a crowd.

So Nadakhan took that literally of course and she got turned into the ninjago kulk. I do like though, how she embraced it and straight up enjoys throwing people across roomsjghgj. She’s a true role model ✊😔

Monkey Wretch I often forget about, but I love how sassy he iskhjgkjh. the knowledge he wasn’t always a monkey though makes me kinda sad. He’s a genius, and a primate,, But he’s damn good at what he does. There isn’t much I can say on em, Since he doesn’t speak and he’s pretty much the animal sidekick of the crew, but I don’t doubt that he probably wishes he could be human again, and holds some resentment against Nadakhan. But considering he made the Misfortunes Keep, he stays.

(fun fact, at this point, i accidentally closed the tab and nearly lost literally all of thisjjjgj)

And last, but not least (the OG crew, considering), good ol’ Flinty, or Flintlocke. God I can’t express how much I love Flinty. He went from being Nadakhan’s trusted second in command, to being thrown off the backseat and betraying him. How you could slowly see him beginning to believe Jay, and that spark of hope you have when you think he’s going to help Jay escape. Then when he looses his ability to shoot, it all comes crashing down.

He was defined, in the MKC, as the long-shot-shooter with impeccable aim. But when that’s gone, what is he? Is he really useful to Nadakhan now? What if Jay was right, and Nadakhan doesn’t need him anymore?

Flinty had made himself into his own weapon, and lost his confidence because of a seed of doubt. So the moment he gains that confidence back, not from Nadakhan, but from the people he thought were his enemies, he has a new reason to trust again and helps them. I just feel bad though, because although he hit Nadakhan with the poison, he also hit Nya. And because of that, all his development was wiped away.

I like the MKC, they were entertaining, they were scary when they needed to be, and the were ruthless. But what I find the saddest thing, is that after they had all been brought together again, they had all expected to go back to the old days. Sailing as one big family with Nadakhan leading them through storms, and stealing whatever they wanted. They all had reasons to put trust into each other and when Nadakhan was imprisoned in the teapot, and they were all lost from each other. They just lost their family.

Which is why I lead onto Nadakhan. He always wanted more and had no restraint when it came to having the biggest loot pile, but he had his crew. And he had Delara. Nadakhan likely did reciprocate that familial feeling and Delara’s affections, and probably did tricked them in the beginning, but they were generally happy anyways. Which makes his betrayal so painful. They joined him because of what he promised them, they got all that they wanted because of Nadakhan.

He left his home and his father for adventure and love, so when he returned only to see it crumbling. That was his breaking point. He had gained so much in Ninjago but lost his home and everything he held dear. And that’s when he decided to rebuild his home and he would do anything to achieve that. Nadakhan didn’t see that all that he wanted was not what he needed. He lost something equally as great as infinite wishes. He lost the people that put their trust in him.

But through grief, not only over his realm, but of his love, couldn’t see that. Which resulted in his downfall.

Like a lot of the villains in Ninjago, sometimes it’s circumstance, luck, or bad timing. The Serpentine, the Nindroids, Morro, Harumi, even Zane falls under this category now (ouch).

He’s a good villain because under the manipulation, under the lack of fear or consequence, he’s just angry. That is not saying, that it isn’t his fault. A lot of the things he did before were bad and his whole crew knew this, but because of bad timing and luck, it all came crashing down.

So in short, the MKC are pretty neat 👌👌
