Angst time. Yes it's short 🙄🙄🙄 bc I'm shit at writing

"Mutsuki...where are you...?" Tomioka walked through the woods where the other Hashira was sent out on a mission. The water Hashira began to get worried, as the other usually immediately responded when she heard his voice. Tomioka began running through the woods pausing only to look for the Poison Hashira.

Suddenly the blue eyed Hashira stopped, his eyes widening in shock. Mitsuki lay unconscious on the ground, missing her left forearm, with gashes and cuts scattered all over her face and body. Tomioka ran over to her, crouching down next to her. Thankfully the black haired young woman was still breathing, though it was delayed and ragged as if she was struggling. Carefully, Tomioka picked Mitsuki up and began carrying her bridal style, blinking to hold back tears. Despite how hard he tried not to cry, he couldn't stop tears from welling in his eyes.

"T...omioka...?" Mitsuki weakly spoke, her eyes just barley open. Her voice was so strained, it was sickening to hear how much pain she was in.

"Shh... don't talk right now. You need to focus on living."

Tomioka couldn't bring himself to look at her face, knowing her normally happy, cheerful expression would just be replaced with one full of pain.

"A-am.....I gonna...die... I'm...so exhausted..."

The poison Hashira struggled to even speak, her breathing becoming more delayed and shallow.

Panic began to overwhelm Tomioka, he began to run as fast as he could without hurting her any further.

"Tomioka..."

"No. You're not going to die. You can't die!"

"I... love you..." Mitsuki's voice was barley more than a whisper.

Tomioka's throat tightened as he looked at her, her yellow eyes were clouded and blood spilled from her mouth as she fell limp in his arms.

Mitsuki's breathing style (I'm keeping her name even though it has n o t h i n g to do with her breathing style lmao)

Poison Breathing

derived from: insect

Sword color: bright violet

forms: 7

Form One: merciful poisons: a quick jab to the demon's neck or chest that injects a painless poison into the victim, which acts fast.

Form Two: vipers' revenge: a slash across the demon's chest that injects a very painful poison into the demon's body that works slowly to give the victim a slow, painful death, this is mostly used to help the slayer paralyze the demon as the third form activates the paralysis

Form Three: paralysis from vipers' revenge: to be used after form two, a jab anywhere in the demon's body as long as it's near the original where the original attack was inflicted. It injects an activating component that activates the paralysis from vipers' revenge

Form Four: deceitful illusions: user jabs the demon, injecting a poison which makes the victim hallucinate, then the user cuts the demons head off. The hallucinations are usually nice ones, so the demon dies happily, and a painless death.

Form Five: platypus venom: a painless jab into the demons blood stream, it injects a poison that slowly decays the demon over time and paralyzes them.

Form Six: unknowing poison: used for sneak attacks, when still unnoticed the user will silently dash at the demon and jab them, this is too quick for the demon to notice and painless.

Form Seven: Unforgiving resentment: a jab to any part of the body, it injects a venom that is unimaginably painful for the demon, it slowly decays the demon's body, causing even more pain. This form is only used on demon's who have vexed the slayer, or if the slayer is sadistic.
