summary : it's been 6 months you're with Eddie and his friends, you're happy and grateful for everything until your fear gets into you, 2 weeks you've been avoiding him, ignoring him, getting guilty of your own actions because he has done nothing to you but love and care, you're afraid of own feelings can you let go of your own demons and finally let him into your heart?

THE STORY IS SET IN 1987!

and yes I remove the part where Eddie DIDN'T DIE! 😤

while walking passed by the basketball court- you saw Lucas lowingly his head down even though you can't see his face he looks like he's having a bad time

Your face softens and you walk towards to him

"It's everything, okay?"

He raise his head up and blink his tears away and shakes his head "y-yeah, everything is fine."

"No- it's not" you snort

He blushes creeps up into his cheeks in embarrassment of lying poorly as he chuckles slightly "Yeah" he scratches the back of his neck

You sat down beside him

You and Lucas enjoyed each other's slience for a moment

Until you decide to break it "So, what's up?"

He looks over to varsity players and it seems like they're having fun with the other basketball players without him

You follow his gaze and you huffed and at that point you already know what's going on

Lucas turns his head at you and decides to speak up about it "I really thought I had the place to be in their world after I won the championship game."

All of you are in that day, all of you are present and Lucas smiles so widely when he sees you're also there as well! He is so happy all of his friends are there

after the game- you congratulated him and celebrate for a moment until he decides to spend it with his new found friends

Until it went all wrong from what he expected

"I get that, I've been there before, you know" both of his eyebrows raise together as he totally forgotten you're in that exact position like he was before and he feels sorry for bringing up something that is very unpleasant

"Oh- god, I'm sorry- I didn't mean to- you cut him off

"No, it's okay, it's their loss actually" you scoffed "depends on the person too, it just so happens that you end up with a douche like them" you gesture to the school jocks

Lucas glances back at them and he frowns

"They only acknowledge your existence when you done something that gains them and after that they ignored you like nothing ever happened."

Lucas shifts his seat and he swallows because all of what you just said is right- that's exactly what happened to him after the championship game- he is just a shadow like he doesn't matter

"That's why I stopped pushing myself to be in their world when there's other more people who can truly support you and love you for what you just did- I was like fuck this I'm out- I'm going to find better people than them." You throw your hands up and laugh

Lucas laughs too and he smiles fondly as his mind wonders one thing.... his friends- Eddie, Dustin, Mike, Will, Jeff and Gareth, Max and even you...

"You're right, Amanda" he nods at you "at first I wanted to be like them, I've had enough like the rest of my life I was bullied and I wanted to change that but after I spend months with them- I realized I was wrong-" he forehead scrunches as he remembers how they treated Eddie and his friends and they're we're so mean to them and so harshly bad at them like what's the point of being popular if you're just being a dick to everyone? and also spreading lies about their Hellfire Club.... It sickens him

"Don't ever blame yourself for it, Lucas," you place your hand over his shoulder "just put it like this way...the reason why this happened to you... maybe it wants you to teach something... there's a lot of bad people in this world whatever you do, no matter what you try to avoid them, you will always encounter someone like them... if there's so much people like them be a good one!" you show him a smile and that made him smile as well

"You're such a good friend, Amanda, I'm so grateful to have you in my life." He says it with so much honestly in his eyes

Your eyes become glossy his words goes straight to your heart- you smile and you throw your arm to his side and you give him a squeeze

He rests his head on top of yours "I wish I were, Lucas."

"But you are?" He says looking back at you with his eyebrows knitted together

You hum in agreement and you shake your head "Thank you"

He tilts his head at you "What's going on with you and Eddie?" He gives an pointed look

You remove your hand from him and you rest them on your lap

You sigh "I'm working on it, don't worry." You look over him with a grateful smile

He looks over your eyes and searches for dishonesty but he sees nothing but fear and compassion at the same time- he believes you

He smiles and he says "Both of you are my favorite couple, I'm going to vote for the both of you at the prom." He closes his eyes shut and his eyes widen to what he just said and there's nothing else he can do to bring it back

"Oh? there's a prom going on?"

He sighs of relief a little bit as he hears that you didn't not suspect something suspiciously

"Uh- yeah" he stammers "Junior and Senior high prom together."

You nod at him

Eddie walk passes by at the basketball court and he saw you and Lucas together and his heart warms seeing you laughing- it's been a while since he saw you like that his heart easily sends so much thump in his chest watching you closely- god- he wishes that you look like that all the time

He doesn't even realizes that Mike is in front of him

"Eddie?"

He jumps back into reality- his head goes turn back to and to Mike "Oh- h-hey, Mike." he stutters

"Amanda, came into our house last night and she talks to my sister, Nancy, and she told me she's alright but I really don't buy it as she looks so bad yesterday." He paused

Eddie's eyes widen and his face turns into worrisome

"I-I didn't mean to pry, I'm just worried that's all" Mike throws his hand up in defense

Eddie smiles at the boy and he is truly thankful that he has friends like him

"Is there something wrong between the two of you?" He asks

He sighs and he clears his throat "we're not doing any good at the moment but we'll be okay." He reassures him

He smiles with a hopeful look on his eyes "Do you think she already knows?"

"Knows about what?"

"The prom?" he brings up the same flyer that has given to him few weeks ago and Eddie already knows he is giving it to El

"Oh- yeah- right" he breathes deeply "no- I don't think she knows it yet."

He smiles sadly at him "But I believe the both of you will be together at the end."

Eddie's face softens as he says "Thanks, Mike."

"You guys are the endgame." Mike added with a smile on his face

Friday, another night at Steve's house, Movie night

You don't wanna attend the movie night because you know that Eddie will be there but you also don't wanna disappoint Steve so you fix yourself up a little bit still so fucked up as you try to get yourself together

Eddie picks the movie that they're going to watch and it's the Lost Boys

You arrived very early at Steve's house and of course your bestfriend always notices something in you that isn't right

Steve gives you that look that says "Stop punishing yourself for this"

You hissed at him and you walk inside to his house and flop down to his couch

You're wearing worn out a gray acid wash KISS stretchy tee that almost look like half off shoulder as it shows the strap of your bra and classic blue denim pants with Nike

You didn't even care if your eyeliner is very bold you just leave it as it is and your hair is a mess but still looks good as your push it over to the side

Steve rolling his eyes might stuck behind his head when he watches you- sulking around

"Am I even allow to speak?" He asks as he leans back to his front door

"Yeah- as long as you're not scolding me about him" you say as you cross your arms not looking at him instead you look down at the carpet

He's controlling his anger over you as he doesn't want to spoil this evening

It's been 3 days ago since you have that conversation with Steve

That night, when both of you cried and clinging to each other's arms

Steve couldn't believe you're acting like this- he hates this attitude- it upsets him so much- he doesn't like it

He had enough- he shouts at you "Stop being so fucking stubborn and just say what you want in his face not leading him up like this! I thought you don't want him to get hurt?!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?!?"

You glare at him with fire in your eyes filled with guilt

"Don't give me that fucking look, Amanda"

He walk towards you and he is now standing in front of you

"Just because you're sad doesn't mean the others around you needs to suffer." He says with a stern look

His words cut deep into your soul and it almost like something falls heavier inside your chest

Your eyes are now flaming with so much anger until you blow up

You stand up so quickly that Steve almost fall back- he almost forgot that you can beat up someone so easily

"Fine! I'm the worst daughter, I'm the worst friend, hell- I think I might've been the best future girlfriend to someone you're referring to-" you start and you walk towards him as he backs up slowly until he is against the wall

"Say all you want but I am numb, it stings but I don't feel anything anymore, I fucking- I fucking regret the things that I've done, Steve- you don't know everyday I suffer from the actions that I did wishing that I didn't do it." You say as your voice cracks and that made Steve drops his uprising anger across his face slightly

"I've lost all of my confidence, I try to gain them back but I still struggle- it hurts- I know it's been years since all of those people did to me- completely killing me mentally." you chuckled sarcastically

"I know you want me to be happy but just let me think for once, okay? just leave me alone" you sigh in exasperation

Steve stay silent as he stares at you and he rubs his eyes

Eddie- of course, Eddie came after you

You can see his eyes light up as he saw you in there but quickly fades as he senses the tension in the room

You rolled your eyes at him and you walk towards the backyard

Steve walks over to him and he plastered a smile at him

Eddie knows Steve he doesn't look good like he interrupted a steaming confrontation

He is so confused- it almost like he doesn't even recognize you anymore, not only your actions changed but also your appearance

You're still beautiful to him whenever you're in your bad days

All of the gang came inside Steve's house

You distance yourself in them

Not only Eddie is confused but also them are confused as well but Lucas is the only one who can understands the situation even though you don't talk that much

"I knew- it's a wrong decision to come over here" you think to yourself

You're watching the half of the film while you drank iced tea

Eddie always taking chances to look at you

He wants to do something and finish this once and for all

You stand up and walk towards to the table where all the goodies are- you grab a small bag of potato chips and feeling someone behind your back and you turn around

It's Dustin

He smiles slighty and he looks like he wants to ask you something but he couldn't bring himself up to say it

"What is it, Dustin?" You ask politely not wanting to make the kid feel bad

He shakes his head

"I promise- I won't bite"

"I- I just wanna say.... I missed you being at our table during lunch time." He clasped both of his together with a small smile

Your eyes softens and your serious expression drops down

"Not- only on lunch time though- I- I just really miss hanging out with you- that's all." He added

Before you can reply to him, Mike appear beside you as he says "You don't want us anymore?" Mike asks while he tries to look at your eyes

You finally looked at him and you sigh "No- no- I still love you guys." You say

"But why you're not sitting with us anymore?" Dustin asks

"Guys, don't pressure her" Lucas claps his hands to get his friends attention

You look around and you saw Lucas coming closer to the table to grab a donut and you smile at him

You bring back yourself to Dustin and Mike "I'm just... having a hard time at the moment but I promise... I'll be back soon- of course I won't forget all of you." You say and they miss that genuine smile you have and that convinces them

"I bet she's already taking you guys for granted"

Steve voice echoes through your skull and it bleeds out to your ear

Your face goes back to cold expression again

You turn around and you scoffed and walk away from the table

"Okay, dude- what the fuck was that?" Lucas exclaimed

"She fucking deserves it- you know? she needs to be waken up and make her realize that she is wrong!" he yells

"Steve- didn't you forget that she is your childhood bestfriend?!" Dustin says with a tone coming out his voice

He tsked "I know that but she-" he gets cut off by Mike

"You're going to regret all of this sooner or later, yeah- you have the right to be mad at her but you also don't want her to suffer more, that's not what bestfriends do." Mike says

Lucas, Dustin and Mike we're all right and 100% right he hates that this is happening to your friendship and it's the first time ever you both done something that you both will never forget, it's your first argument with each other, first time really getting mad but never hating each other even though sometimes when things get really bad you both hate the words coming out of your mouth coming from anger

that's how much you cared for each other

as much you wanted to stop this foolishness you just wanted something to get over with your head, you just wanted to scream all of those bottled up emotions that you had with all of those years, you're mad at yourself for not fighting and defending yourself, you hate yourself because you let them do that to you, you think that you're the problem, you wished that if you did those things that they do you wouldn't be like this even though you knew it yourself you won't going to like it, you're just doing it so you can fit in to their world....

that's the reason why you went rogue for 2 weeks, moping around and sulking around because you're afraid to admit of your own feelings

All of this chaos will change tonight

Steve stares at the 3 boys and he ducks his head down slowly, massaging his neck in the process

"I just don't...." He begins "I-I just don't want to see both of friends who are very important to me lose themselves."

"I just want them to be happy." he sighs as he flashes out a sad smile

"Don't make it hard for her, okay?" Lucas nods at him

"The storm will pass" Dustin added

"It will be better at the end, I'm very sure of it, Steve." Mike reassures him

All of you are watching the movie that Eddie picked out

Lucas and Max are both sitting on the carpet floor

Dustin and Mike are both sitting in the couch

While Gareth and Jeff you overheard them talking about comic books at the coffee table beside

Steve and Robin are both standing behind the sofa as they both leaning their backs against the wall as they watch the movie

Steve is taking any chance glancing at you while Robin notice the concern in his eyes, Nancy follows her gaze

Eddie on the other head is sitting alone on the side his knee is jumping up and down as he tries to decide whether he or should not confront about your behavior towards him

You're the one is on the dining table alone as well

You checked your watch on your wrist, it says 8:30pm

"I've stayed long enough" you think to yourself

You get up and reach down at the doorknob before you step outside, you glanced over at Steve where you already find him staring at you

He weakly nods but you can't miss the disappointing expression on his eyes

You blinked and you sigh as you close the door

Steve looks back to where Eddie is

Only to find he's not there anymore and he realizes he went out to follow you and so does he

You walked fast, you just want to go home as soon as possible but you can't help but feel worse to do this to your friends

you bite down your bottom lip from stopping yourself to have a mental breakdown in the streets at night

You shove your hands in your pockets as you can feel yourself shaking uncontrollably and your chest rises up heavily you can't breathe normally at this point

You're having an panic attack

Eddie runs out to find you sighing as he saw you not so far away yet

He jogs out to reach you and he calls out your name

Hearing his voice again only adds more guilt to your heart

You refuse to look back at him "Leave me alone, Eddie"

He's already there beside you looking at you with his confused expression

He tries to catch your eyes to look at him but you still refused

You didn't halt your tracks to talk to him but he still follows you

"W-What's wrong?" He asks

The back of your eyes are now filling up with burning tears

You quietly sob but Eddie manages to hear it, of course he did- he always does

"Did I do something?" He asks but you didn't respond again

"Please, talk to me." He asks again- he knows deep down it has nothing to do with him, you're just having a hard time trying cope up with your feelings but he just wants you to confront about it because he had enough of it

It has stop, he doesn't want you to be like this forever

"Don't make me do this, Amanda" his tone grows more serious than before

You ignore him yet again

He grumbles in frustration as he hold both of your shoulders and stops right in front of you to make you look at him

You're now finally looking at his eyes are now filled with confusion, anger and sadness

You swallowed nervously at the sight of it, you tried to make a move and escape from his hands but he holds you still so you won't leave him again

"Answer"

"What?"

"Just answer me? please?" he says with a pointed look on his face

You blinked and you can tell that he is upset about you and yet somehow he can manage to control his anger and he still acts respectful to you

He can never ever hate you

"Stop it, Eddie"

"Stop- what?"

"Stop doing this!"

"I just want you to answer me!"

"Let me go, Eddie!"

He did let go of you but he blocks out every way you try to get rid of him

"You're still afraid aren't you?"

"W-what?"

"You're a coward"

"I don't know what you're talking about" you say as you crossed your arms ignoring your stomach drops to where this is going

"Oh- you know exactly what I mean" he huffed and laughs incredulously

"No, I don't-" he cuts you off

"See? Right there, that's fucking in denial"

You stare at him in silence

"I liked you since day one and you're just scared to admit it."

You gasped at his sudden confession and you tear away your eyes at him but he lifts your chin up

"You're afraid of your own feelings and you know that I am right."

His words are like broken glass shards that went stabbing through your heart

He's right, he sees through you, he can sense every emotion that you're having

Your eyes threatening to spill so you push him away and you turned your back at him to continue walking

He scoffs as he follows you

"So, tell me, Amanda, is it Steve?!"

You look at him at his insane question "No" you shouted while your voice cracks

"Then, what is it?!"

"I-I don't know."

"You fucking don't know?!"

"I'm not having this right now"

"Bullshit- We're having this right now whether you like it or not"

You went silent- your heartbeat goes faster and faster

"If there's no one else then why are you doing this?!

"Why- you try making it hard for yourself?!

You don't answer

"I have loved you ever since I laid my eyes on you, I've waited and never stopped loving you even you're acting like this"

You glare back at him and you went back staring at the streets

"I know, you have this past that you don't seem get healed from it yet but I'm going to help you no matter what, you know that right?"

Suddenly you feel so sick and your body feels heavy

So it is true, all of them from Wayne, his friends and Marlon

He truly does care for you and he even likes you from the start and that made you emotional

"Amanda, I am not like those people, they're not me! don't ever think I would do that to you, I would fucking totally kill myself if I ever hurt you" he pauses and he clears his throat not to breakdown from his own set of tears

"I try to understand you everytime we go together"

"I just don't want you seeing like you like this"

"If- if you're having bad days I want to be there for you on your side."

"I get so confused why you're trying to push me away or like any of us who are genuinely do care for you."

"If you don't feel the same way as I do, that's fine, I'll be there always" he knows that you liked him too but he wants to hear it coming from you

He reaches down at your hand stopping you from walking

You turned around at him and you scrunched up your forehead and you can't hold back the tears anymore as you slumped your shoulders down and you feel weak

But you still try to break free from his grip in your hand

He saddens to see you like this but he still wants some answers from you

"Tell me, Amanda"

"T-tell you, what" you croak out looking at him with your blurry eyes from tears streaming down on your face

"That you love me."

You jolted at his words and finally his grip on you is loose

Eddie pushes you against the wall placing both of his hands on the sides of your face, caging you in front of him

"Answer me"

"No- I don't-"

"I can't keep going on like this forever" he shakes his head at you

"Just let me go home"

"I will- if you just answer me"

"I-I can't-"

"No- tell me- right now!"

"Eddie-"

"Do you love me?!"

"S-stop"

"I said, do you love me?!?" He yelled

"Yes" you shouted

His gaze softens as he hears your response and he searches for dishonesty on your eyes, he finds nothing but fondness

"I burn for you"

He blinks as he removes his hands on the wall

"I burn for you everytime when we're together"

"You have no idea how much I devoted for you all this time" you paused sniffling as you wiped your tears

"I yearn for you everytime when I'm away from you"

Eddie stumbles back at your words and he immediately cups your cheeks and gives you a sloppily kiss and you squeal from his action but you kissed him back and your close your eyes and throw your arms around his neck and he deepens the kiss and holds your waist even tighter and yet you're both longing at each other and you miss his touch, his scent and you miss him

He doesn't want this to end, he doesn't want to break the kiss, he wants to hold you like this forever and ever

He wants to say something so he cuts it leaving you chasing after his lips "I love you" he places another kiss on your lips "I really love you, Amanda" he kisses it again

Your gaze softens while you're looking at him- your heart flutters at his actions wiping your tears on your cheek and he caresses it

You can feel another set of flood of tears building up "I don't deserve you, Eddie"

He rolls his eyes at you "Don't ever say that, please, you're worthy of love, Amanda"

"Just let me love you"

as he places another kiss on your lips, he groaned when you run down your hand from his chest down to his waist pulling him more closer to you- he cups your ass and you mewled from his action

Eddie loved you from being just you, Just Amanda, he doesn't care about your past, he doesn't care about people might think of you, he loves all about your ramblings, your love of movies and music, your cool outfits and your attitude when it comes to mean people like bullies, you're such a badass girl and yet here you are caving in so easily for him and you don't even know why this felt so wrong, he deserves someone better

You pushed him back catching your breath

"But Eddie, I treated you so bad, you deserve someone-

He hushes you "I don't want anyone else, I only want you."

You look back at his eyes- it swims with love and adoration

"Oh" is the only thing you can say incredibly speechless of all the confession he had just said

It is just so hard for you to let that all sink in- you just couldn't believe someone like him to give you so much love and care and you don't know how to act and what to do

"What is it, sweetheart?"

"Take me home"

He frowns at your response and he sadly smiles

"No- Eddie, I said take me home with you."

You can never miss the way his eyes light up

"Gladly"

Eddie takes you to his van and when he looks back at Steve's house

He saw him standing in there and he give him a grateful smile

When you arrived at Eddie's trailer he takes you immediately to his room

He lays you down on his bed and he gives you cuddles and kisses

He's holding you and you're laying on his arms hugging into you in the process

He caresses your cheek and you let him run his fingers through your hair

Your heart sinks how much you appreciate this comfortable silence with him

You're so blessed- you don't even know it

"I'm so sorry, Eddie"

"For what?"

You shrug "for hurting you"

"You never did hurt me"

"But I did" you start "and I will never forgive myself for it

He doesn't respond, he hugs you instead

"I could never hate you" he saids it to your ear and places a kiss on top of your head

he can feel you smiling at his response

"I just- I didn't know that this could happen to me, all my life I thought I could never have this."

"Like what?"

"loving me for what I am and truly respects me"

If this was another person he would just want you for your body but with Eddie.... It's different..... he could get used to this forever

He would volunteer to take away your pain in your heart so that you can never suffer again

You loved Eddie because he is true to himself and Eddie loved you for being brave and strong

He pulls back to look down on you only to find you already looking at him

He smiles at you and he tucks your hair behind your ear

"I saw you with Lucas, the other day"

"You did?"

"Yeah, you always doubting yourself that you're a bad person when you're not"

"You helped my friends and you make them happy- I do love them but it's not the same without you in it."

Your eyes became glossy

"I can't function without you on my side, Amanda" he added

"I don't know what I would do if you're not there on my side, if ever that happens, you can never avoid me, I will always be there."

"Do you really meant it?"

"What?"

"That you love me?"

"Of course, I do"

"Are you certain?"

"I am certain"

You stare at him for a moment and you can really tell that he is saying the truth

You buried your face into his chest and you sob

He panicked- he pulled you away to look at you

"W-what- what's wrong?"

You shake your head

"Darling-"

"I'm just really happy" you laughed

"Oh, my love, you got me worried" he chuckled

"Thank you, Eddie"

"For what?"

"For showing me that I am worthy"

"And I would never stop that you are worthy of everything" he says while looking at you he tugs out a sweet smile

You smiled at him and you hug him while you rest your head on his arms

If the world is against him and so do you

You woke up laying on his arms

He haven't unshackled you in his embrace since last night

He's so beautiful from inside and out, if only the town knew how much of a pure heart he has

You admire him in his sleep, you brush your hands through his curls and he hums from your actions

You carefully remove his arms trying not to wake him up and you kiss him in the lips

You went home

You have this sudden feeling that you're so sure of yourself that it's your time

It's time to be happy again

Your mom called out for you and asked you to sit beside her

"What's the matter, dear?"

"Oh, it's nothing, Mom"

"Come on, I know you're lying"

You hesitate at first but you replied "Eddie and I got into heated argument but we're okay now we talked each other last night" you say

Your mom doesn't even know the whole context about everything that is happened

Mother's really knows what's best

"What do you want?"

"Huh?"

"What do you want?" She repeats the question

"I-I want to be happy again"

"Then follow into the light that you found" she says and she reaches out to grab your hand

"Listen to your heart, Amanda, nothing will ever happen if you just go for it while it's still there"

She kisses your knuckles and your eyes are misty

"All I wanted for you is to be happy and do you what you love"

"Thanks, Mom" you nod at her

"Always here for you, my baby"

Eddie woke up without you on his side and he frowns

He quickly gets up and saw Wayne on the coffee table

"Woah, there, son, take it easy"

"Where is she?"

"I talked to her just give her some time" he says with a hopeful smile

He sighs and sats down on the couch "I love her, Wayne"

"I know you do, just give her some space for a moment" he reassures him

You walk up the stairs and went into your bedroom

You noticed some messy spots of your room so you picked and clean it up

Your journal caught your attention, this is where you keep all of your favorite memories of your life- the important highlights that you want to look back everytime that you wanted to

Including your new found friends and him

while looking through the pages there's a growing smile coming out of your face

but you noticed something else

you remembered that you didn't put anything on your journal.... unless

It's him, the one who put it inside of your journal

Your heart palpitates like crazy while slowly taking out the piece of paper that is tucked in one of the pages in your journal

Your eyes grows big and wide as you read down what's on the paper

It's about the prom and you know that if someone give this to you- it's an invitation

Your knees became weak and you drop down on the ground

You're shocked and you can feel yourself crying

You're happy but also at the same time you can't believe it

All of the pieces are coming together as you realized everything

You remember that one lunch time that you had together, he acted really suspicious and even his friends

Lucas almost slipped out the secret while you're cheering him up yesterday

You want to apologize to everyone, so you went from your childhood bestfriend first

You knocked on the door and ringed the doorbell

"Alright, Alright! I'm coming!"

He opens the door and his annoyance expression drops as he saw you standing in front of his house

"H-Hi" you say shyly

"Hey" he smiles and he can see the way your eyes glow and he is so glad that you're coming to your senses

"Can I come in?"

"Sure"

He gave you a vanilla milkshake and he's having a chocolate just like you always do as kids

You slide the paper across to him and he looks back at you one last time before he unfolded the paper

He eyes goes wide and he says "Wait- did he-"

"He's asking me out to prom" you say while you're crying and laughing at the same time

"Oh" he genuinely smiles at you

"We talked to each other last night, it feels nice to finally open up to everything and you're we're right all along"

He nods at you still holding on to the paper

"Steve, can you um-"

He holds your hand and caresses it "Can you bring me there? like give me a lift?"

He looks confused "It's Eddie he should be the one-"

You cut him off "No- he shouldn't know that I already know, I wanna surprise him"

He smirks "Oh- I like this plan"

You and Steve talked to each other for a moment, you both apologize about everything and he hugged you one last time and he is very excited for you

He can't stop from being excited that he went calling Robin immediately after you left and he removes his phone away from his ear because Robin screams directly on it

Everyone is involved in the plan except for Eddie who has no clue about what's going to happen in the prom

Prom | November 30 1987

You and your mom went shopping before the event

You picked out the most magical and flattering gown

Purple with glittery sparkles all over it

You prepared your hair and makeup

It starts at 7pm and the gates will open at 3pm

Everyone is getting ready and Eddie.... well- he's having problems of not wanting to mess this up

What if you don't show up?

What if you don't saw the paper that he tucked in your journal?

He wanted to call you and he even wanted to go to your place and talked about the prom but Wayne stopped him from doing those things

He is overthinking about everything and he is so worried

Wayne is enjoying this seeing his nephew getting frazzled and he just groans at his uncle and that made him laugh

Wayne talked about this over the phone with Marlon who is very happy about you and Eddie going to the prom and both men are snickering their asses off about Eddie don't know what to do

Eddie just rolls his eyes at his uncle

"I kept this for a long time now" Wayne says as he lays out his suit from his senior prom in his highschool days

"W-Wow" the suit is so elegant and the material is so sacred he must've been taking care of this for so long, he doesn't even knew that his uncle own something like this

"Well- you know I saved up some money and I really want to date the girl that I like so I did all of that" he says with a bittersweet smile

"Everything is possible as you're doing because you want it.". Eddie nods at him

Eddie stares at the suit as he remembers the story of how wonderful his senior prom is like and that's what he wanted to achieve, he wants it to be memorable like his uncle did

Eddie places his hand on his shoulder "I am sure she is with you.... always."

Wayne looks at his nephew with brimmed eyes as he remembers Clara

Back then when Eddie was just a kid he showed him the pictures of him and Clara together at the senior prom

Eddie can sense the energy just by looking at the pictures, they're both radiating with love and admiration with each other

Clara died from sickness and Wayne mourned her earnestly and he didn't stopped loving her very deeply until now

That's why he is so eagerness that you and Eddie must be together, that's what he felt with Clara, you and Eddie both have the same relationship that Wayne has before

The pureness and the genuine of just enjoying each other's company

Wayne clears his throat "Now, put this on! I wanna see you wearing it!"

"Okay, Wayne" he chuckles at his uncle's sudden enthusiasm

Eddie came out from his room wearing his uncle's suit

"Oh my dear boy! Look at you" Wayne says as he covers his mouth in awe

"Do I look good?"

"Good? You look incredible, son! It perfectly fits you just the way that I imagined!" He exclaimed

"Thank you, Wayne" he says with an unsure smile

"Son, don't be like this"

"I know...."

"Don't pressure yourself to do the same as I did before like this is your night do what you feel what is right for you both" he says

Eddie couldn't stop himself from hugging his uncle almost knocking him off in the process

Wayne smiles down at his nephew and hugs him back

"You look amazing!" Steve grins at you

Robin is staring at you in awestruck "Wow, Amanda, holy shit" as she takes polaroid pictures of you

"Give us another twirl for us, please" Steve says jumping up down

"Okay, one last time, alright?" You twirled and the two screech of excitement

"I literally can't wait for Eddie's reaction later!" Robin exclaims

You, Steve and Robin both take pictures of each other.... Until

Someone knocked on the door and all you tensed up and as soon as you heard the familiar voice

"Shit!" Steve says whisper-shout

"What is he doing here?!" Robin whispers

"I don't know!" You say as you grab your dress so you can easily run

"You gotta hide! Run for it!" Steve says to you

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Eddie says

Steve and Robin walked towards the door

"What are you going to do?!"

"I don't know it yet!"

"What are you about to say?!"

"I just- I don't know just follow my lead!" Steve says

Steve opens the door and saw Eddie in his fancy suit and he looks over to his side he saw Dustin with a perplexed complexion on his face

Eddie's face crumpled up and he is so confused why Steve and Robin are in your house

Not that is weird it's just- not what he expected

Steve gives a knowing look to Dustin and he immediately understands it

"Uh- what are you doing in here?" Eddie asks

"I love your suit by the way!" Robin says not making it look suspicious

"Yeah, Thanks, Buckley, Guys?" Eddie asks again

"Oh- Uh- Amanda's mom called us she's doing something that it needs our special help" Steve forcedly smiles

Eddie noticed this and he knitted his brows together and looks back at Robin

"Special Help?" Eddie asks

"Uh- yeah- we worked at Scoops Ahoy, 2 years ago right? and she asked to fix the ice cream machine" Robin says

"Oh" he nods

It looks like he's buying it and that gives them a relief

"Good save" Steve whispers to Robin

"Right?! Thank you" Robin responds

"Is Amanda there?" He walked in and that cause a lot more panic

"You stall him" Steve mouthed to Robin

"What?!"

"Go!"

"Fine, you're gonna pay me for this, Harrington!"

Steve saw you in the upstairs quickly carrying every piece of fabric of your dress thankfully Eddie wasn't looking up as he pulls Eddie in the living room

"I just want to say you clean up very nice!" Steve says

"You're scaring me, why are you acting weird?"

Steve doesn't know what to do as he looked over from his shoulder he saw Robin coming up and double checking to see you're not around

"Oh- here's Robin!"

Steve pushed Robin to Eddie and he holds her as she almost dropped down on the ground

Steve runs away to find Dustin

He pulled Dustin it made the kid flinched

"What the fuck are you both doing here?" Steve whispers

"I didn't know that you're guys are still here!" Dustin whisper exclaims

"Okay, fine!" He rolls his eyes "Don't ruin the plan, alright?!"

"Yeah, I know, Steve- just calm down! I'll fix this"

"is there something that I should know?" Eddie squints his eyes on Robin

"Uh- no, no, no! we're totally cool" Robin says as she shoves her hands on her pockets

She peaked her head and looked over to Steve mouthing "Are you guys done?"

"Yeah" Steve nods at her

"Just do anything you can to prevent him not to suspect anything" Steve says

"Got it!" Dustin says

Your parents walked down the stairs excited for you

"What's with all the racket?" your dad asks

Steve saw them and he whisper-shout "Eddie is here!"

"What?!" Both of your parents exclaimed

Eddie saw your parents and Robin failed to stop him

"Oh- hi there- I was wondering if Amanda is here"

Steve slowly shakes his head at them

"She's at the mall"

"She's with Nancy"

Both of your parents said at the same time

Robin face palmed and Steve winces

Eddie became even more puzzled at the situation

Dustin claps the both of his hands "Say, Eddie! I was informed that Gareth and Jeff are in there! Thank you so much for your time!"

Dustin pulled Eddie away before he can ask your parents where were you

Steve mouths to Dustin "Thank you"

Dustin raises both of his brows "Goodluck!" He whispers

You came out of the closet room "Phew! I thought he'll never leave!"

"That's a close one" Robin sighs of relief

"We gotta get you there before he can!" Steve says

Your parents smile of how stunning you look they both gave you one last hug

You're at Steve's car and you perfectly arrived on time

"I want you guys to be there"

"Are you kidding? I would die just to see Eddie's reaction!" Robin smiles widely at the anticipated plan later

You and Steve laugh

"Just get out there and have fun!" Steve says as he pinches out your cheek

It's 6pm and still there's no sign of you (that's what he thought)

Eddie is sitting at the table his shoulders were slumped and he is frowning why you aren't up showing up

He is now believing that he didn't saw the paper that he tucked inside of your journal

"Stop overthinking everything, Eddie" Lucas says as he sats down beside him drinking down his juice

Eddie sighs and crosses his arms "I just don't understand why isn't she here yet"

"She will be, just wait"

"What?"

the upbeat music stops and Lucas grabbed Eddie's hand pushes him in front of the crowd

All of the students are so confused why the music stopped

Eddie is dying of what is about to happen as he grows nervous

Mike came in front of him fixing his hair

Marlon fixed his suit even more properly "Marlon- what are you doing in here?"

He just smiles and he says "Just look up there at the stairs"

He looks so freaking confused but he follows him anyways

Nancy takes pictures of him with a Polaroid camera and Max holds up a breath freshener and she says "open your mouth" she sprays it inside and he coughs a little bit "that's a little bit minty"

He clears his throat "Care to anyone explain to me what is going on"

The two girls only giggled at him

"You'll see, Munson" Nancy saids

Dustin is carrying the flower bracelet "Oh- don't forget this, Eddie!" He says as he places it on his hand

He looks back at him and give him a thumbs up and a big smile

He just smiles at him with his knitted brows

He jumped at the spotlight at him and one at the stairs

He almost collapsed when you appeared in front of the stairs

"Oh shit- is he alright?" Wayne almost run over to his nephew

Marlon laughs "yeah- he can take this."

He breathes down heavily and he smiles at you walking down the stairs

He couldn't believe that this is real and his plan succeeded

and now there you are in front of him

Everyone at the school and gasped and you overheard them

"Is that Amanda Jones?!?"

"Oh my god, Is she dating Eddie Munson?"

"Surprise?" You say with a giddy smile

"You're so-" he shakes his head "So beautiful!" he takes your hand and twirls you around

"Thank you, Eddie" you can't help but hug him on the spot

Eddie almost fall down on the ground and everyone cheered and whistled

He hugs your back "How did you found out?"

"Just yesterday, while I fixed my bedroom"

"I'm sorry i didn't say anything after I left but- you smirked on the side looking over at your friends

Eddie follows your gaze and he tilts his head and also shakes his head in the process

Steve, Dustin, Robin, Wayne, Marlon, Lucas, Max, Nancy and Mike are all waving at him very sneaky and they all laughed

"Everyone is involved" you chuckled

He looks back at you "Oh- so all of you conspired against me?!? Huh." He smirks

You nod at him and you flash out a cheesy smile

Eddie looked over behind his back to Gareth and Jeff

He winks at you and you get confused

*Out of Touch by Hall & Oates starts playing at the background*

"Well played" you say

"You thought you're the only one who has plans, huh?"

"I guess we loved to surprise each other"

"I guess we do"

He places the flower bracelet on your wrist and kisses the top of your hand

"I love you, Eddie" you say plainly

Eddie can feel his heart wanting to come out of his chest

"I don't want anyone else too, my heart belongs to you forever" you say with a glint of thankfulness in your eyes

"I love you more, whatever happens, I will forever loving you until the end" he says

Eddie cups your cheeks and kisses you very slowly passionately and lovingly and you throw your arms around him again and holding the back of his head as he deepens the kiss

You and Eddie can hear the cheer and the screams

You break the kiss and you suddenly become shy and Eddie just laughs

You looked over to Steve and you mouth to him "Mission Accomplished!"

Steve and Dustin made a fist bumps to each other and all of them jumped to excitement

"Are you truly happy?" He asked you

"Yes I am" you say

He kisses your cheek "Thank you"

"For what?"

"For not giving up on me"

"Thank you too"

You scrunched up your eyebrows "For what?"

"for letting yourself be free and to be loved unconditionally"

"Oh- Eddie" you hug him once again

"Hey, Amanda?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you" he coos

"Oh stop it- you're such a dork"

He laughs and he tickles your sides and the prom night is filled with laughter, love and happiness
