LItG S8 Vol. XI
This one is long! 😘
More gossip?! Of course I want to know it all duh!
Tumblr media
Jin grabbing me for a chat before the movie night was good. Got to hear him out. I’m glad he’s being respectful of Sienna but I wish she could get it through her thick skull that he’s just not that into her.
Movie night!
I feel so bad for Bea. She is so sweet and he is such an ass. But she is the one who chose to bring him back over the others when we tried to warn her so… 🤷‍♀️
Oops there I go again, spilling tea I’ve heard… 😏
Tumblr media
And I do believe Jin but he also could have been a bit more clear so I do get where she’s coming from. A little bit… I did like getting to rub it in Sienna’s face though 😝
Tumblr media
Paying gems to watch Liam fail miserably with Claudia was totally worth it! 🤣
Ugh Emel and Oakley are super irritating at this point. Hypocrites both of them! 🙄
Both Jin and Max’s clips were both super cute and choosing between them is getting harder by the episode! I still love Jin though!! But Max is so tempting 😉
My clip was so nice and tame… this time round. (I’ve seen some other scenarios of what plays if you’re not loyal and oh boy! 🫣)
Not sure how I feel about Theo and Hari talking about me too in their clips. I feel bad for the other girls. I’ve never once flirted with either one…
The boys recoupling was fine. Went pretty much the way I figured it would. OG LI picked us (yay for us loyal girlies!!) and then our Casa LI picked Sienna (yuck) and I’m not sure how I feel about that since I like him too… would have been interesting if Oakley was able to choose Sienna and then have the rest of the couples all mixed up 😅
This is the one time I will thank Liam because… Holy… Moly… that shower scene was 🥵 I’m seriously enjoying the newer spicy scenes. They are much better this season! All ways are hot so play them alllll! The pinning the hands up against the wall is sooooo up my ally I can’t handle it 🫠
Tumblr media
Dammit Sienna… just had to ruin it there didn’t you? Though I’m not sure why it would be a secret if you’re coupled with the person you’re caught with. Oh no! You caught me getting busy with the guy I’m coupled up with and have been keen on the whole time! What will everyone think? 🥱
Heart Rate Challenge Time!!!
So excited for this HOWEVER the outfit choices are awful! I am so disappointed in the options for MC! Why the awful bright iridescent colors?! What happened to our choices compared to the other girls?? I would literally have taken any one of those over our choices! Ours are so tacky and cheap looking! The mermaid isn’t sexy AT ALL and the cowgirl literally hurts my eyes AND the hat/collar don’t sit right on MC’s body and hair! 😤 The other girls get such cute outfits - especially Bea and Emel…
Tumblr media
Anyways, back to the challenge! I do enjoy this one but seeing Sienna all over my Casa boy was hard to watch even though I’m with Jin. I wish we could choose to dance a little bit for everyone like Claudia did instead of all one person. I want to raise as many heart rates as I can!! 🤣
Hazel liking Liam is sad. Poor girl. Oh well she’s been warned too. Bit of a hypocrite with Emel though (shocker!) calling out Hari for not dancing with Hazel but Hazel chose Liam to dance all over and nothing was said to her… I hate double standards.
Not sure how I feel about the Viking outfits… like I like that each boy’s version is a bit different, but the hats sit really weird on their heads. Definitely not a fan of the caveman one on Jin, doesn’t show enough! Max’s superhero is so cute! He can save me any day! Also, he gets bonus points for having pop as his song type because that is what I picked as my favorite! And I’m a fan of Indiana Jones so that was a good one too! But the guys outfits are pretty cute this season! Overall two thumbs up for the boys 👍👍
Tumblr media
And of course Liam is a jester… 🙄
I wonder how the results will go… if either Jin or Max gets their heart rate raised most by Sienna then I’m gonna be upset. I know I can’t have both in the same playthrough, but they’re both still mine!! 😅
I really hope the new bombshell doesn’t pick me. Please go for anyone else but me. I am finally back with Jin and I don’t want to ruin that! Also, I’m not a fan of his face so that doesn’t help! lol I guess we shall see what happens next week.
This time it isn’t as bad to wait like the past few weeks have been so that’s good… or is it bad? 🤔

some recent mimiwon moments i've been thinking about A LOT 🌷 Minnie
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything in [brackets] is text is added text and commentary in the “video”
Tumblr media
[LISTEN PEOPLE]
[a lot has happened]
[a lot of time has passed]
[and a lot has apparently happened in the mimiwon dorm bc we are being FED VERY WELL]
[you know me, #1 mimiwon supporter, fight me on that if you want to]
[some of these might be a stretch, but leave me alone and enjoy the show]
[sometimes you gotta be delulu when no one tells you what's the trululu]
[and the trululu for me is this video]
Weverse LIVE 230811
Mingyu was watching the newest Going Seventeen episode on his iPad, the voices of his members ringing through the speakers in the apartment as he chuckled at the screen in front of him. The sound of footsteps in the background made him look up, turn his head to the right side and chuckle at what he saw. Quickly, the camera was flipped to show the new episode of the BOOmily outing when the members had to sing a song they had heard the night before.
[suddenly so secretive🫣]
The comment section suddenly filled up:
"Is Mingyu not alone?"
"I thought all of the members lived alone, but I can hear whispers..."
"There are more people, right?"
"THAT SOUNDED LIKE MINNIE'S GIGGLE"
"Do you still live together?"
"Pls show Minnie"
"Why did you flip the camera? :("
[AS IF WE COULDN'T HEAR THEM]
[I swear to God, I heard a kiss]
*sound gets replayed, just a little louder*
[alright look, might just be fabric rubbing against fabric or sth else, idk, but let me be delulu]
A few seconds later, after a few more giggles in the background, the camera showed Mingyu's face again. His head was still resting on the back of the couch.
"Guys, look who just came," he spoke out loud before moving his phone further away from him to show the girl who had taken a seat next to him on the couch, looking very comfortable with her head tilted to the side and her knees up.
[THEY LOOK SO CUTE LIKE THAT]
[ugh i hate happy people]
"Hi everyone," Minnie spoke softly, waving to the camera. She turned towards Mingyu, "I was wondering why you were watching Going Seventeen."
"Carats said it's a funny episode, and look at me!" He pointed at the iPad. With one quick look, the girl started giggling and patted his upper arm, "Yeah, well... that's what you look like after waking up."
[IMAGINE getting to see that face every single day]
[HE'S SO CUTE SO PUFFY]
[girl, you're the luckiest bitch in this universe🫶🏼]
"Wow..." Mingyu shook his head.
[yep]
They both looked down at the screen in his lap before the girl opened her mouth again, her head now leaning on his shoulder.
[STOP LOOKING SO DOMESTICALLY CUTE]
[they're making me so sick, but I love them so much😭]
"It was surprisingly cold that morning."
The rapper hummed in agreement. "But it was a lot of fun too." Getting a nod from her in return.
Minnie rubbed her eye and went to cover her mouth as a yawn escaped her, making Mingyu turn his head slightly to look at her. "Are you tired?"
"A little bit."
[it took so many years for them to soften up to each other and now we're getting scenes like this?!]
[THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN KEEPING FROM US]
[i mean, don‘t get me wrong, I love them bickering around, but I never knew I needed them to be like this so badly]
"Should we read some comments to wake you up?" His question made her chuckle. "Should we slowly end the live?" He wondered. "I'll come back. You wanted to do a live soon, right?" He directed his last question at the girl.
[i need him to talk to me this softly]
[since when can mingyu speak so quietly and slowly]
[well, he can]
[but only for MINNIE apparently]
"Yeah, but I have to think about what I want to talk about. Jeonghan's always eating in his lives, and the conversations he has come really easily, but I don't know if I could do it like that. I want to do something else maybe."
"Look," Mingyu pointed at the display on his phone, "Carats are saying they'd even watch you eat in silence."
[i'd watch that girl look at a white wall for HOURS, you don't understand]
[or actually, I think mingyu would understand me]
[whipped mf]
Minnie couldn't help but to giggle. "But that's weird. Just eating and not talking... We'll see." And ended her statement with a shrug.
[no, it's not weird]
[PLS we love stuff like this]
Suddenly, both of the members' heads turned to the side in synch,
[in synch even off stage]
[this is what happens when you live together, huh?]
stopping for a second before chuckling at the same time.
[WHAT WAS THAT]
[we all saw it, right?!]
*repeats clip*
[who made them smile like that?]
[don't worry, I already have the answer for you]
[JEON WONWOOOOOOO]
[i found this on twitter:]
*shows the clip again, this time with a raised volume*
[someone said 'balli' right?]
[pls tell me i'm not imagining it]
The girl raked her body up from the slouching position she was in as the rapper focused back on interacting with their fans, saying goodbye to them.
[she was so quick to get up]
[everything for jeon wonwoo, i understand]
[oh i so 1000% understand, girl]
"Bye, be well," he spoke in an unnaturally deep voice. Out of the blue, Wonwoo copied him, making the female member turn her head to the side once again, laughing at the older rapper as he continued to repeat Mingyu's exclaims.
[yeah, alright, we get it, mingyu's not the only one whipped]
"Bye," he waved into the camera as Minnie stood up to stretch her back, only for her to lower her head, peaking in from the top of the screen to wave as well.
"Bye, Carats. Have a good night, eat well and sleep well. Byyeeee"
[BYE MINNIE, HAVE THE BEST SLEEP EVER, YOU WONDERFUL WOMAN, I LOVE YOU]
[i just typed out mingyu's thoughts, you're welcome]
The rapper tapped around on his phone, trying to end the live when the distant female voice in the background spoke quietly,
"Can‘t we just go to sleep?"
[SHE‘S USING A CUTE VOICE WITH THEM?!]
[didn’t Minnie say, she hates aegyo… well… not when it comes to those guys apparently]
[we will be debating this in the comments, see ya there]

[Going Seventeen] EP.78 Everything Possible In The White Zone #2
[this episode was made for mimiwon, convince me otherwise]
After they discussed Vernon's approach to the game, they decided to play another round, this time trying to find a different member.
First, Seungkwan proposed to let him be the person to find, but every member had a different idea of who it should be.
"We can't play 'Finding Joshua' because he doesn't read his messages,"
Woozi commented, making the room errupt in laughter.
[not mimiwon, but i laughed out so hard]
The group went back and forth until S.Coups made the final decision.
"Let's go with a member that's loud in the group chat, like Minnie."
"Me?" She suddenly sat up straight from her lying position close to Wonwoo's feet.
Dokyeom laughed as he nodded, "Yeah, you."
"Let's go with Minnie, she writes a lot," the leader finalized.
[Opposite of Joshua]
Everyone seemed to agree, but Mingyu who sighed through his teeth and shook his head,
"Ah, I think Minnie's writing style is too unique, it'll be easy."
[OF COURSE IT'LL BE EASY FOR YOU MINGYU]
"Pff," the girl scoffed, "If you think so."
[i needed the bickering old married couple back, i'm so happy]
"Yeah, it might be easy for you, but not for the rest of us," Dino commented, pointing at the other members.
[DINO, tell us what you know👀]
[my guy, what are you keeping from us]
[share it with the group😬]
"No, Mingyu's right, I think we'll find her quickly," Wonwoo suddenly spoke up too.
[Oh there we go, the other husband]
[yeah go on and support your little couple]
"Jeez, alright," the female performer sighed with a chuckle.
"Let's see," Seungkwan's voice echoed through the room, having the last word before they created a new anonymous group chat.
-
"Who would enter as 'Taylor Swift'?" Hoshi wondered as they went through the names that were now in the chat.
[MINNIE FUCKING KIM WOULD]
[the queen she is]
[queens supporting queens]
[mothers supporting mothers]
The maknae of the group laughed out loud, "Oh, that would for sure be Minnie!"
[again, not mimiwon, but he knows her so well, it's so cute]
[i might have to make a video on dino and minnie]
[have you seen them?!]
[cutest siblings ever]
"I'm not THAT predictable!" The girl argued back.
[🧍‍♂️]
Mingyu turned around to glance at her. "We'll see about that."
"We'll see about that," she mocked him. "I bet you're 'Minnie Mouse', very creative," joking about his possible username, making him roll his eyes.
[BURN]
[did she really just call the creator of the bittersweet logo, the editor of the going magazine AND the artist of woozi's lockscreen NOT CREATIVE?!]
"'Pledis #1 Facecard' is really good too," Minghao commented, followed by a giggle.
[factssssssss]
Minnie grinned. "That's a personal attack on Mingyu though, isn't it?"
[pls give this man a break minnie]
[he's suffering, but it's so cute]
Her grin washed from her face the second a pillow hit her face.
[that smack was PERSONAL]
-
"Let's ask about her idol," Seungkwan suggested.
"Idol?" The second oldest wondered in confusion.
"But idol as in role model, everyone should know this," the youngest main vocalist added as the other members agreed.
Suddenly a round of laughter filled the room as they went through the messages. The chat showed pictures of mostly Taylor Swift, one of a 15-year-old S.Coups and one of a gif of Jun in his Limbo MV, when suddenly somebody sent in a picture of the Pledis CEO.
[that was FOUL]
"Who sent this?!" Minnie couldn't stop laughing, throwing herself onto the floor.
[i love that she's laughing at her trauma]
[same ngl]
As if that wasn't enough already, the next picture sent was an older one of Woozi in the green practice room.
"Oh, this is Minnie for sure!" Wonwoo exclaimed proudly.
[mh, tell 'em]
"Woozi-hyung? No, I think Han Seongsu-nim is a bigger idol to her," Vernon stated, making everyone laugh harder.
[why is he rubbing salt in the wound HAHAHAH]
"Alright, so you sent in that picture then," the girl pointed at him, making him shrug with a mischievous grin on his lips.
They started debating when Hoshi made a clear statement. "Minnie usually has really old and embarrassing pictures of us on her phone." But Mingyu had something different to add,
"But she's the only one that would send in a moving image."
[did he graduate from uni with a degree in 'analysis of minnie's texting' bc me thinks so]
To which the other members agreed with hums and nods. The girl stayed quiet in the back.
[i knew he was right, right then and there]
"Wonwoo knows how to do that too," the female performer debated.
[love her brining him into this]
[she needs her emotional support hubby]
"Don't try to make us now think this isn't you!" Hoshi's loud voice echoed through the room. She raised her hands in defeat.
-
"Doesn't she have a unique writing style, though? Let's ask something where she can write something," the youngest threw into the room.
"Do you want us to write entire stories like her?" Wonwoo wondered, chuckling when he saw the glare Minnie sent his way.
[he's a menace but we love him]
[also: i would pay for a novel message written by minnie, so wonwoo should be thankful, he get's them for free]
"Suddenly, you're complaining about my long messages? At least I reply!" She argued back.
[well, there we go, throwing him under the bus]
"Alright, alright, let's ask something like that," Minghao agreed, "That might make it easier."
"Okay, what about dinner recommendations?" Jun asked the rest of them
"Yeah, that's good!" Jeonghan answered him, followed by the others.
A few seconds later the first messages started flying in.
"Whoever Choi Seungnie is-" Seungkwan couldn't even finish his sentences as he started laughing, rolling onto the floor. "You're really holding a big grudge."
[QUICK INTERRUPTION: CHOI SEUNGNIE?! hella cute and the fact that it was cheol made me cry🥹]
"It sounds a lot like younger Minnie," Mingyu commented. "'Forget dinner, just let me go out to meet my friends' Who the hell are you meeting up with?" He directed the last question at the girl who looked at him in shock.
[we get it, you're jealous]
[it's okay, i'd be too]
[but i think that's what happens if your girlfriend is the hottest woman on earth tbh]
"That's not me! I wouldn't text like that!"
He nodded, "I know, I know," smiling to himself as he knew exactly.
As her fingers furiously tapped on her screen, a mumble escaped her lips. "I know exactly who this idiot is."
-
After the last question had been asked, every member had to make their final guess on who the real Minnie was in the group chat, and so the discussion began.
"She's probably the one with only the heart as a username," the leader stated.
"True, she uses that a lot," Dokyeom agreed with him, followed by Vernon who nodded along as he gave his opinion.
[yes, they know her well, BUT there are two people that know her even better]
"But 'Pledis #1 Facecard' used the same emojis. Either she didn't even try to hide it or that person imitating her is really good." The other members nodded. Everyone but the '97 Liner rapper, who interferred,
"But 'tulip' tried a bit too hard to sound different. It was kinda unnatural."
[did he just insult her]
[careful mingyu]
"Yeah, but wouldn't Minnie be better at pretending like that?" Hoshi turned the conversation around again.
"Or," Seungkwan interrupted, "That's EXACTLY what she wants you to think."
"Woah..." Woozi chuckled, "Finding Minnie is more complicated than I thought."
"She's smart, so it's definitely hard," Jun added.
[i knew i was in love with a smart woman]
Joshua glanced at the members with a proud smile, "I'm confident that Minnie is the one with the 'Pledis #1 Facecard'. Very humble."
Minnie giggled in the background.
[VERY HUMBLE HAHAHA]
"Yeah, I think so too," Minghao pointed at him. The rest of the members stood behind the statement, only leaving Mingyu quiet as he shook his head - that being caught by the second oldest member.
"Alright," Jeonghan quieted them down, "Let's just ask them to reveal themselves and then, if it's not Minnie, we can check 'tulip'."
"She's for sure that," Seungkwan mumbled to himself, "It has to be."
"Alright, who was it?" Dokyeom asked with a big smile on his face, turning around to face the group.
[DRUMROLL PLEASE]
Everyone went quiet for a second before a sly grin formed on Wonwoo's lips, "Me."
"Wonwoo?!"
"You?!"
"WHAT?"
"How?!"
[i. knew. it]
[LOOK AT HIS SMIRK]
[HE'S SO PROUD OF HIMSELF]
[i'm so proud of him too, ngl]
Different exclaims, one louder than the other, bounced off the walls as they found out who the real culprit was behind the name.
"What?! I was SO sure it was Minnie," Hoshi gasped, "Wow... that was amazing."
"You impersonated her really well, hyung, woah..." Dino complimented him.
[nah fr though]
[like... the next student who graduated university along with mingyu in the same course]
Wonwoo chuckled, "Thank you, thank you."
"Wait, but who was 'tulip' now?" Joshua suddenly wondered.
Minnie giggled, "Oh, that was me."
"I KNEW IT!" Mingyu jumped up, "I told you guys! Why didn't you believe me!"
[i mean... what am I supposed to say]
[y'all are seeing this too]
[I don't even need to comment this, just watch them]
"Ugh," Vernon ran a hand through his hair, "We really should've listened to Mingyu-hyung."
-
[Going Seventeen] EP.81 TOUR SEV SEV #1
The screens showed the table where 11 out of the 14 members sat, slowly zooming into the beloved trio on the left side. Mingyu, Minnie, and Wonwoo were sitting next to each other.
They had just finished their call with Dokyeom and were falling back into a regular conversation.
"But why are you reading webtoon right now?" Mingyu suddenly wondered, leaning over the girl to get a better look at the iPad in front of Wonwoo.
"Well-" Jeonghan was about to explain.
"Why are you reading webtoons?"
"He can, why not?" The second oldest defended him, followed by the female member, who smacked her fellow '97 Liner's arm.
[i can NEVER read these two]
[are they gonna be all cutey and touchy today?]
[or are they gonna be just like in the old times?]
"Exactly, why can't he. At least he's educating himself," she argued, placing her hand on top of the older man's shoulder.
[little dom girlfriend, supporting her sub gamer boyfriend]
[we love seeing it]
The younger rapper shuffled back into his seat, his eyes locked on the girl while he crossed his arms in front of his chest, a slight pout forming on his lips.
"Woah... you're really always taking his side," he mumbled dramatically, shaking his head, and making the girl reach out to poke his cheek with her finger.
[THE POUT?!]
[THE WAY SHE POKED HIM?!]
[I WOULD'VE KISSED HIM RIGHT THEN AND THERE]
[pretty sure she had to hold herself back from doing so]
[i understand minnie]
-
[more wonnie than mimiwon, but look, sometimes there's more content and this was too cute not to be included]
While the entire group was discussing where to go and what type of transportation they could use to their advantage, some would've maybe missed what had happened in the background.
Wonwoo and Minnie had diverted into their own little world, focusing on something on his iPad as they pointed at it and chuckled together.
[are they looking for another one to sit right in between them? i volunteer]
They were being half covered by Mingyu's bigger frame, but the camera still caught their interaction.
As the girl went to lean back and straighten out the sweater she was wearing, the '96 Liner's hand reached out to move a strand of hair out of her face, earning himself a grin from her.
[ATTENTIVE BOYFRIEND THINGS]
-
Seungkwan jumped up from his seat, "Okay, by foot! Move on already!"
Causing the entire table to errupt in laughter, leaving a stunned Mingyu to sit on his seat.
[this was so choatic, i would've cried]
"Of course, we'd walk to nearby places," Jeonghan tried to calm down the quarrel, but everyone was too focused on the shouting of the '98 Liner.
As Mingyu was motioning to the younger member to sit down, "Don't get mad," speaking more calmly, Minnie leaned on his shoulder, trying to contain her laughter, in clear awe of the member next to her.
[my head would never leave his shoulder, respect to her]
"Seungkwan, sit down," she chuckled, still close to the rapper, patting his upper arm. "And you just move on with what you were saying."
The rapper finally finished his statement, thinking it was over and they could move on to the next subject matter, but the leader inferred.
"That's what I've been saying!"
"What?!" Mingyu mocked him, leaning forward just a slight bit, "You didn't say by foot," pointing at the oldest member, to which Minnie took his hand in hers to push it back.
"Stop that," she commented.
[DOM MINNIE STANS RISE]
[this was so hot for no reason and for every reason at the same time]
Seungcheol continued his argument, "I said by foot. By foot, public transportation, and by car!"
"Okay, Cheol-" the female member started, but the leader stopped her,
"Don't protect him like that, Minnie!"
She glanced at him wide-eyed, "I'm not protecting him! He made us laugh with his 'by foot' comment, so it's all good. Yes, you said it before, but let's just move on. Let him get his screentime."
Mingyu pouted at her comment, "I didn't do it for screentime." Which she brushed off with a motion of her hands, whispering something that wasn't heard clearly, but made him and Wonwoo on the other side of her chuckle in synch.
[I-]
[...]
[...]
[no words]
[they're too cute]
[that's all i can say at this point]
-
[again: wonnie content, but LOOK]
The group erupted into another loud discussion, leaving the more quiet members to their own as they sat back. Minghao decided to stay out of it, focusing on his laptop, while Minnie let her head fall back. Wonwoo turned to look at her, asking her something that the editors didn't put louder in the episode. His question made her sit back up straight, her face scrunching up in a way that could portray pain. The '96 Liner placed his hand on top of her head, patting it softly, letting it travel from her hair down to her back as she leaned forward again, her elbows resting on the table.
[do they know cameras are on them or do they really not care?]
[because WE NEED MORE]
[i've never seen wonwoo this affectionate]
[what is this girl feeding him]
-
[also wanted to include this just bc i thought it was cute]
"Leisure!" Mingyu added to the list as they went through the categories each group could focus on, to which the female performer scrunched her eyebrows.
"Leisure?" Gaining the attention of the '97 Liner next to her, who nodded. "What is leisure?" Looking up with her big brown eyes.
Before he could answer her, Wonwoo raised his voice over the rest of the group slightly, to reach the younger member on the other side. "Vernonie!" His head snapped towards their direction. "What is leisure in English?"
[the way he immediately knew to ask vernon to translate bc it would be easier for her]
[i know the bar is low, but this was cute, alright?!]
"Huh?" He wondered, leaning forward to hear the other rapper better.
"What is leisure? In English," the girl repeated.
"Oh," Vernon nodded, "Free time. Leisure"
"Aaaah," Minnie smiled at him. "Thank youuu. Leisure is really just leisure, okay."

[Going Seventeen] EP.88 BOOmily Outing #4
After the alarm blasted across the place, everyone had gotten up, and one after the other was leaving the house to gather outside. Minnie came out through the door, a jacket swallowing her small frame as she had only taken a long pair of pants and a short-sleeved shirt to sleep in with her.
[NOW]
[we all have seen this jacket before]
*inserts clip from episode one of Boomily Outing, showing Wonwoo wearing that exact jacket during the intro*
[MH]
[exactly]
*back to cute and tired minnie*
[i guess this is just minnie priviledge]
Her eyes adjusted to the bright light while trying to find a comfortable place to settle down and wait for her turn in the game they had to play. She saw Mingyu sitting on the elevated floor in the middle of the garden and made her way over.
[we saw her literally looking for him]
The rapper found her approaching and made some space next to him for the girl to sit down, which she gladly accepted. As soon as her bottom hit the wood, her head fell to his shoulders and her eyes closed. Mingyu would shake her awake once it was her turn.
['no place like kim mingyu's shoulder' I LOVE THE GOSE EDITORS BC YES, SAME]
-
[Going Seventeen] EP.89 Guess Who Left Secretly #1
[this was so chaotic and fun]
After hearing multiple doors closing, Minnie calculated it to be the perfect time to escape from her room. In preparation, she took off her shoes and placed them right next to the door before opening it, ready to rush out. However, her calculations were wrong when she suddenly came to an immediate halt when her eyes locked with Wonwoo's, who gazed at her with a grin. Her lips pressed together in a tight line and she was ready to turn around when the '96 Liner motioned for her to walk past him, making her scrunch her eyebrows in confusion, only for him to move his hand around even faster, telling her to be quick.
[SUPPORTIVE BOYFRIEND IS BACK]
[he's so adorable, how can she just live with him like that]
With a quiet chuckle, she rushed past him, making sure that her steps were as light as possible, but the sudden sound of a familiar voice made her stop in her tracks.
"Call Minnie, please!" Mingyu called out.
[and there comes the devil]
The girl turned around and looked around the almost empty space, where only Wonwoo stood by the table.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, walking back slowly, trying to find an open door with Mingyu's figure - she was even more confused when she couldn't see him.
"I saw you, go back," he argued. The pout on her face made her partner chuckle. She kept her eyes open, looking closely around and focusing on every door individually, when Wonwoo gave her a soft hum, making her turn around to look at him. He pointed up slightly, letting her eyes travel around to where the makeshift build-up walls ended.
"You little-" she stopped herself from cursing, glaring at the camera Mingyu had put up right above his door.
[he was so funnily annoying with this, so i totally understand her]
[but we love it]
-
Sulkingly, the girl decided to stand in the doorway to her room, her arms crossed as she looked straight ahead, waiting for one specific door to open.
Right as it did, revealing the 6ft2 physique of her member, she shouted out loud, "Call Mingyu, please!"
The man sighed, "Yeah yeah, alright, I get it." Closing the door again with a smile.
[I LOVE THEM]
-
A few of the members gathered around in the middle, whispering to each other.
"Kill one person, just one."
"Mingyu," Minnie immediately suggested, getting a round of chuckles from the others as they nodded in agreement.
[PLS MINNIE]
"He's so annoying," Joshua whined.
[besties gotta stick together]
The girl didn't need to be told twice, she knew exactly what to do as she rushed over to the door of said member and locked it right away. Once she turned back around, Vernon was already waiting for her with his hand raised, high-fiving her,
"Good job," he giggled.
[THEY'RE SO ANNOYING HIM]
[he deserved it though]
-
"Mingyu," Wonwoo called out after he exited his room to join the others by the table in the middle, "The name of the program isn't 'Please call them'."
The girl chuckled.
[getting called out by the other husband, as he should]
"Stop laughing, Minnie and just unlock my door," was the only thing coming back from the '97 Liner rapper, but she shook her head, even though she knew he couldn't see her.
[she was so over it HAHAHA]
The female member got closer to the '96 Liner as he stopped by the table. She leaned into his side, speaking softly, "We'll leave by order of age. Okay?"
[my eyes are on you two]
"Us all?" He wondered, pointing at the others who were standing opposite of them, to which she nodded. "Okay," he answered, patting her back as she passed him, brushing her hands over his shoulders.
[it's the little things you know]
[and i don't even know how little this was bc twt went WILD]
[as they should yk]
-
After the second round ended, each member who was still somewhere within the building, came to the open space in the middle. They started discussing which members left when Dino noticed something,
"Minnie? Where's she?"
"Did she leave?" Vernon wondered while looking around.
Wonwoo grinned to himself, knowing that she left a few minutes ago as he had seen her but didn't say anything.
[i know what you did]
[and i love you for it]
[hubby material fr]
Mingyu suddenly shouted, "Please call Minnie!" Only a second later, the sound of a call going through bounced off the walls, making every member laugh out loud.
[and there he goes]
Before anyone could say something to her, the high-pitched voice of the female member rang through,
"You cannot be serious?! I had ten seconds left, you idiots!" Making the guys laugh even harder.
[she's so done]
"Aw, Minnie-ya come back, I miss you," the youngest of them all said to her, making her giggle.
"Well then, I'll only come back because of you, Dino."
"We miss you too!" Mingyu added, but that's when the girl ended the call, letting laughter fill the room.
[I LAUGHED SO HARD]
-
As soon as she got back, her eyes quickly landed on the tallest member, "You called me, didn't you?" And only got a sneaky smile in return.
[i bet my right little finger nail that they discussed this at home]

[Going Seventeen] EP.90 Guess Who Left Secretly #2
[if you haven't watched this episode: warning, loud; if you have: have fun watching this mess agian]
Minnie saw her chance and took it. She rushed out of her room, ready to race over to the door, when another one opened revealing Mingyu, who was quick to jump into the middle of the room, blocking off the possibility of her leaving.
"Go back!" He pointed back at her door.
The female performer groaned out loud, "Who unlocked your door again?!"
[vernon babes, hate to break it to you]
"Go," Mingyu just laughed at her antics, continuing to point at her door.
The two fell into a sudden silence as Minnie tried to get closer, lowering her voice.
"Let's form an alliance," she spoke softly, extending her hands, "You let me go now, and I won't tell you."
[she... her voice... i need her to whisper into my ear like that]
"That's not how the game works," the rapper shook his head with a chuckle, taking small steps back to keep the distance between the two.
"Says who?!" The girl whined, making him laugh even more.
"You have to go back, Minnie," He tried to explain to her as she crossed her arms in front of her chest, shifting her weight onto one leg, popping out her hip.
"Alright, then you have to back too because technically I caught you as well."
[THE SASS]
Mingyu nodded, "And I will, after you went back." Earning himself a glare from the main dancer.
[they're so hot when they're both like this]
[rilled up af]
The two were interrupted by the sudden opening of a door to their right, where Wonwoo's head peaked out, both members now focused on him. The distraction gave Minnie the opportunity to brush past her fellow '97 Liner, quick on her feet as she tried to sprint towards the door. Mingyu reacted quickly, able to grab the female member by her arm just as she passed him, making her groan.
"NO! Let go!" She fell to the floor dramatically, but Mingyu didn't even budge.
[NOT EVEN A MILIMETRE DID THIS MAN MOVE]
[AS IF HE'S USED TO THIS]
[his grip must be so tight, oh lord, my thoughts are travelling]
[imagine his grip around your-]
Minnie's feet, still without shoes on them, stuck to the floor with all her strength as she tried to pull back from the guy's tight grip on her wrist. He let her go with a chuckle, making her sigh in relief, only for him to snatch her by her ankle.
[the way he's enjoying this...]
[that hot mf...]
[i need him to do this to me]
A loud groan tumbled from her lips.
"You're using your strength against me, and that's unfair!"
[bet you that ain‘t the first time he's done that]
[TELL ME I'M WRONG]
By now the two of them had gained an audience, each one of their members staring and laughing at the two. Dokyeom was already on the floor too, his loud laughter filling the room while Hoshi was wiping away the tears that had left his eyes.
[love how they're all enjoying mingyu just manhandling her like this]
"Ya!" Wonwoo chuckled as he got closer to the two, "Let go of her and both of you, go to your rooms, come on."
[DADDY]
[sorry, i slipped]
[the athority is doing things to me, i can't help it😶]
He tapped Mingyu's shoulder, making him loosen his grip before he took a step forward, reaching out with his right hand for Minnie to grab, but she only kicked up with her leg, pushing his hand away with a smile.
[LOOK AT HER]
[look at her]
[she literally enjoyed this giant manhandling her]
The '96 Liner came up behind the other rapper and swapped places, helping the female performer up and brushing over her back, making sure her clothes didn't get dirty.
[and there comes the hubby material again]
"Wow, that was so dramatic," Dokyeom commented, making the others chuckle and nod in agreement.
[this fr must've been quite the scene to watch in real life]

[Going Seventeen] EP.91 Point of Omniscient Interfere Penalty #1
"Whoever does 30 squats outside gets 20 grapes!" Mingyu shouted into the room, sitting by the counter, eating his bowl of freshly cooked ramen.
Minnie didn't need to be told twice and rushed over, pushing past S.Coups who also wanted to give the challenge a chance, to the door, leading to the garden. "I'll do it!" She told them before disappearing, making sure to stay by the window.
[giving into a man that easily... minnie... i thought we were better than that]
[but then again... we are talking about mingyu here, so... i get it]
After crouching down 30 times, the girl got back inside, clearly out of breath as she found her fellow '97 Liner still sitting where she had last seen him. She approached him slowly.
"I did it," she got out, her hands on her hips as her breaths were falling heavily from her lips.
Mingyu's eyes met hers, noodles still hanging out of his mouth. "Oh, really? I didn't see it."
[bitch]
"W-," the girl gazed at him in shock, "You can't do that! You said whoever does it gets twenty grapes and I did it."
"But I didn't see you. How am I supposed to know you're telling the truth?"
Minnie didn't answer him but just continued to stare at him.
With a grin, he patted the seat next to him, "Come on, sit down, I'll feed you ramen as an excuse." When she didn't even budge, he reached out to hold onto her wrist gently, pulling her in.
[why is her wrist so tiny in his hands]
[and why is that doing something to me]
[size kink go brrrr]
But she was anything but impressed by his pitty apology. "Mister Mediator!" Making Mingyu groan and throw his head back.
[THIS IS WHY THEY'RE PERFECT TOGETHER]
[mimiwon forever]
[🤍🐶🌷🐱🤍]
Wonwoo walked over to the couple, hands in his pocket and a smile plastered on his face. "Yeah?"
Minnie pointed at the culprit. "Mingyu's lying, and he's mean."
[gotta love a 25 year old woman calling out a 25 year old man for not giving her stickers]
"Mm," the '96 Liner hummed, "How many grapes did he promise you?"
"20."
He nodded, "Okay, I believe you. Mingyu, give her the twenty grapes."
[oh wonwoo, can you be any more of a simp?!]
Wonwoo simply told him before passing them again and walking over to the other side of the room.
The younger rapper followed his best friend with wide eyes. "W- He's just gonna leave like that?"
"Well," Minnie grinned, "You heard him," showing him her palm.
Mingyu scoffed, "He's biased for real."
[STAND UP FOR YOURSELF]
[like... he doesn't even want to]
[they're both wrapped around her finger]
[even though he's trying not to show it too much, he can't hide it]
[not from us]
-
The Mimiwon trio was relaxing on the wooden platform by the karaoke machine, watching the performance unit leader with smiles on their faces as he tried to sing a song he had never heard of before.
"Hoshi, I'll give you ten if you finish this well!" the tallest of them all shouted out, getting a thumbs up in return.
All of a sudden, Minnie leaned forward, placing her chin on Mingyu's shoulder, whispering, but still speaking loud enough for the microphone to catch her. "Do you want to give me five grapes?"
[she's adorable, so yes, i would give her five grapes]
"For what?" Her turned his head, making her pull back slightly as they locked eyes.
She shrugged with a smile, "Just because." But he didn't answer her, instead directing his attention back to the singing tiger.
[HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO HER]
With a pout, the girl sulked back into her place. Wonwoo chuckled at the scene in front of him.
"What's going on with you two?" He wondered.
[pls get your partners in check]
Minnie turned around to face her boyfriend. "Should Mingyu give me five grapes?"
"What for?"
The female member placed both of her palms right underneath her chin, cupping her cheeks and tilting her face to the side with a soft smile playing on her lips.
[this could only work on them, and literally only them]
[the other members would've laughed in her face, SO HARD, you cannot even try to tell me i'm wrong]
[i know damn well i'm right]
Wonwoo nodded, "I see. Hm... I guess he should."
[... he's so weak for her]
[i need a man to be this down bad for me too]
[scratch that, i need wonwoo to be this down bad for me too]
She jolted up in excitement, smacking the other rapper's shoulder to make him turn around. "Ah, what?"
"He said you have to give me five grapes," Minnie nodded behind her, where a smiling '96 Liner was already gazing at the two in front of him.
"Woah, hyung," the younger rapper sighed, "You can't keep doing that."
[he's about to leave this relationship, i'm telling you guys]
"He's the mediator, he can do whatever he wants."
[OH, wifey protecting her husband]
To which Mingyu rolled his eyes, already diving into the small bag that held the stickers she was asking for, keeping a glare on the girl, who provocatively kept on smiling at him.
-
Hoshi, Joshua, and Minnie stood up from their positions on the couch after Mingyu proposed the idea of drawing a portrait of Wonwoo, even though all three of them had already finished filling up their shirts with purple stickers. Their giggles followed them as they went to get a piece of paper each and pens.
After they sat down on the floor, Jun decided to join them. "What are we doing?"
"Drawing a portrait of Wonwoo's face," Hoshi explained to him.
[and who's idea was that? sir simp kim mingyu]
"Wonwoo's face," he chuckled in amusement but still got ready to start his own drawing as well as he was still in desperate need of more stickers.
"I'll draw you too," Mingyu sat down as well, "I'm really good at drawing Wonwoo, we're roommates after all."
[i love how a lot of carats were starting to doubt they still lived together, so he really just had to remind everyone]
[no one's taking him away from you, don't worry mingyu]
[minnie's sharing him with you at least]
"And Minnie?" Vernon chuckled as he looked to the side, seeing the girl gaze up at the '97 Liner with scrunched eyebrows.
"Yeah, exactly," she scoffed, "What about me? You don't think I can draw him well?"
[oh minnie, you can draw him so much better, i believe in you]
"I've been roommates with him for longer," he argued back.
[why did he have to hurt her like that]
Minnie pointed a strict finger at him, "Next time I'm moving apartments, I'm taking Wonwoo with me."
[THE GAME IS ON]
[she threatened him GOOD]
[damn, that really must've hit close to home]
[wouldn't wanna be in the car on the way back to the apartment]
"Why are you three joining anyways?" The '96 Liner decided to change the subject.
[Mister Meditator is good at mediating]
Joshua turned towards him to answer his question. "Screen time, screen time."
"Plus I want to show Mingyu, I can draw you better than him," the girl added without looking up, getting a chuckle out of the Korean-American as he patted her hair gently.
[not mimiwon, BUT I LOVE THEIR INTERACTIONS SO MUCH TOO]
-
Minnie stood between Hoshi and Mingyu, being third to reveal her portrait as she clutched the piece of paper close to her chest. Her turn had come.
"Okay," she started, "My backstory is... because I keep up with Wonwoo's Gameboy lives, I decided to not only draw a portrait of him BUT to actually draw a portrait of his Animal Crossing character."
"Ooh, because you're so attentive," Jeonghan pointed, making her smile.
"Exactly."
[she's so supportive of her gamer boyfriend, i love it]
Mingyu's scoff made her eye him with a glare. "That's an excuse to be able to draw something animated. That's too easy."
"What do you know? Why are you coming at me like that!" The female member argued, kicking him softly with her foot.
[this was them almost the entire two episodes btw]
[it started off cute and ended like this, idk what happened]
"Yeah, leave her alone! Just because you don't keep up with Wonwoo's lives doesn't mean you have to be mean to her," S.Coups pointed at the younger rapper, getting a pout in defeat from him.
[big brother cheol coming to the rescue]
-
Younji's Drinking Show
[THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE THING EVER]
[i SO HIGHLY recommend you watch the whole video]
[i laughed so hard]
[this girl really doesn't know when to shut her mouth]
[i was surprised they kept this all in]
[but god, i just know everything they cut out must be GOLD]
[I'm gonna need a part two btw, just in case youngji and/or her team is watching. hi.]
With scrunched eyebrows, the idol leaned forward slightly, as if that would get her to see outside of the apartment.
"Was that a bark?" Minnie wondered.
[nah, probably just carats tbh, we do that nowadays]
Unsurprised, Youngji nodded, turning back around from her place by the kitchen counter, where she had prepared more drinks for the two of them. "Yeah, one of the neighbours has a dog."
"You're allowed to have pets here?"
The younger girl shook her head with a chuckle, "No."
[mood]
"Oh," Minnie joined her, covering her mouth and thanking her for the new beverages as they both sat back together at the table. "Ugh," her sigh was filled with sadness, "I should also keep a pet secretly."
"What?" Youngji laughed out loud, "Why secretly?"
"I'm not allowed," the performer pouted.
"Why? Says who?"
"My roommates," Minnie answered,
[MY ROOMMATES]
[AS IF WE DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE BABES]
[she's so salty about this subject, i can't with her😂😭]
and took a sip from one of the cocktails she had mixed for both of them earlier, because yes, she wasn't yet drunk enough, her drunk self told her that.
"Aaaah," the young rapper nodded, "Wonwoo and Mingyu, right?"
"That's right," she nodded.
Youngji put a piece of meat in her mouth before continuing, "You three have lived together for a long time, haven't you?"
[suspiciously long, yes youngji, pls keep digging for the sake of mimiwon supporters, thank you]
The '97 Liner nodded as she was still drinking.
"For how long?"
"Ehm..." Minnie put the glass down, her pointer running around the brim in circles. She tilted her head to the side, "...when... when did Bittersweet come out?" Turning to her right, she hoped the producers could help, to which the younger girl chuckled,
[i know she was tipsy here already, but the fact that she didn't know😪🥲]
"Shouldn't you know that? Why are you looking at them?"
"I don't know," Minnie laughed out loud, "I forget... ehm... 20...21? Yeah," she nodded, "Yeah, 2021... May, I think. We moved in together around the time that we released that. Right before- before we went to In The Soop."
[this explains so many moments from in the soop tbh]
"Aaaah, ok ok, I see. And they still don't let you have a pet after over two years?"
[and she's been begging for one for YEARS]
The idol shook her head.
"Why not? What pet do you want? A kangaroo?"
[IMAGINE😂😂😂]
Her unexpected joke made the girl laugh hard as she hunched over the table. "Nooo, I want a cat. I've been wanting a cat for AGES."
"You have Wonwoo. He's a handsome cat too."
[youngji knows what's up]
Minnie's nose scrunched at the comment. "I know, I know, but a real cat would be really cute."
[SHE SAID SHE KNOWS]
[she knows how handsome her cute little boyfriend is, love it]
"Why don't they let you."
"Well... Wonwoo... Wonwoo would want one too, but... Mingyu doesn't. I mean, he's allergic-"
"That's a pretty good reason not to get a cat, Minnie, I must say," Youngji interrupted her, filling the room with her own laughter, accompanied by the staff in the background.
[no, don't side with her]
Minnie was quick to reach out with her hands, "No no no! He can take medication for that," she brushed it off, "But yeah... they say we don't have time for one, and I know they're right, but the other members have dogs, and they're happy and I would take very good care of a cat."
The younger one nodded. "Call them."
[i literally gasped when she said that]
"What?" The '97 Liner was taken aback.
"Call them." She repeated.
"Wonwoo and Mingyu? Now? Should I?" All producers bounced their heads with excitement,
"We need good content," making the two at the table giggle. "And the producers are really big fans."
[i mean, who isn't, let's be honest]
"Yeah, I can tell," Minnie laughed.
-
The phone rang for just a second before Mingyu picked up. Before he could say anything, the girl beat him to it.
"You're on speaker, just so you know!"
[SHE WAS SO QUICK WITH THAT HAHAHAH]
[girl ain't about to catch a scandal]
A deep chuckle could be heard from him. "Are you still at Youngji's place?"
"Yep," she answered, moving her phone over to the other girl, so she could talk to the speaker.
"Hello, Kim Mingyu," she greeted him.
"Ah, hello Youngji. How are you?"
"I'm very good, how are you?" But he didn't even get the option to answer as Minnie snatched her phone back up to her.
"There's something important I have to discuss with you." Giggles came from behind the camera. The staff was very much enjoying the interaction.
"Okay. And you want to discuss that over the phone... on speaker? While drunk?"
[his concerned voice is actually so cute]
She rolled her eyes, "I'm not that drunk."
"Sure," Mingyu simply answered, clearly not believing her even a little bit.
[SURE]
"So," she started, "About the cat-"
"Minnie, no," he immediately stopped her, making her look straight into the camera, anything but amusement written all across her face.
[she knew he was gonna say that]
[i knew he was gonna say that]
[you knew he was gonna say that]
[but damn, he really just hurt her like that]
"But-"
"We've talked about this so many times."
"But you're not listening to me..."
"I've listened to you," he spoke softly to her, "I've even watched your PowerPoint presentation,"
[POWERPOINT PRESENTATION]
[she did a freaking presentation]
['why we should get a cat by kim minnie‘]
[i need to see this presentation]
"but Jag-...," he cleared his throat, "Minnie-ya... we can't. You know, we don't have time for one."
[Y'ALL HEARD THAT RIGHT]
[let me replay that for you]
*replays the clip*
[NOW]
[what are we gonna do about that]
[we knew exactly what he said, or what he wanted to say or whatever]
[... but yeah sure, i bet they're just calling each other that casually around the dorm, mh]
"Is it because of your allergy?" She wondered, placing the phone down to put both of her hands underneath her thighs.
Mingyu chuckled slightly. "I mean, yeah, that too. But I also don't have Aji or Bobpul with me-"
"Bring them! You can bring them to the apartment, and I'll get a cat-"
"Minnie, stop," he was now full-on laughing on the other side of the phone, Youngji doing the exact same on her side of the table.
[this conversation was everything to me, knowing they've had it multiple times before, but now over the phone, with a drunk minnie, WHILE BEING FILMED]
The female performer groaned, "I'm gonna call Wonwoo."
[if one boyfriend says so, you can still ask the other one, what a priviledged life istg]
[only minnie can do this]
"Wonwoo's right next to me, he's listening," the rapper told her.
"Wonwoo!" She called out, catching Youngji off-guard as she jolted up at the sudden volume of her voice.
"Minnie!" He copied her tone with an evident smile. "Do you want us to come pick you up?"
[THE SOFTNESS OF HIS VOICE]
[kill me pls]
[also: yes, come pick me up. yes, please. yes. on your motorcycle, thank you.]
"What? Hell no, I'm not done here."
[she was enjoying this so much]
The female rapper gave her two thumbs up with a proud grin.
"But," Seventeen's female member continued, "You can try to get Mingyu to agree on the cat."
"You know, I can't do that. We've tried. But we can go to the cat shelter tomorrow again if you want." His proposal made the girl's eyes glow up.
[and that's how you make a woman happy]
[other men, please take notes]
[just copy everything wonwoo does]
[just be jeon wonwoo, then you're perfect]
"Really?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Alright, then I'll let it slide for now, I guess. I'm still sad about it though."
"I know," Wonwoo chuckled, "Maybe one day. Enjoy the rest of the time with Youngji, okay?"
"Yep," she smiled, looking down into the phone.
"And don't say anything stupid when you're already this drunk now!" Mingyu suddenly shouted through the phone, sounding more distant than before.
[oh, our boy was SCARRED]
"Yeah, just be careful, okay? Call if you need anything," the '96 Liner stated, to which Youngji looked into the camera in shock.
[same youngji, same]
[we all need a man like that]
[PLS WONWOO, MY EXPECTATIONS ARE ALREADY HIGH ENOUGH, for christ sake]
"Alright," Minnie spoke sweetly, "I'll see you later."
Wonwoo hummed into the phone.
"I love you," she took the device into her hands again. Only another hum followed, making her frown. "Ya, say it back!"
[THIS INTERRACTIONS]
"Yeah, I love you too. Now go back to filming," the older rapper chuckled, ending the call.
[he's suddenly so shy, what the hell wonwoo]
The female dancer handed the phone back to one of the producers behind the camera to keep it safe for the time being.
Youngji was still quiet in her seat, just looking around the room wide-eyed.
"What's going on?" Minnie couldn't help but chuckle at her facial expression.
The younger girl sniffled, "They're so cute!" The dancer threw her head back and clapped, accompanied by her laughter echoing through the room. "Oh my God... I expected them to be kind, but THEY'RE SO SWEET!"
[RIGHT?!]
[and she just gets to live with them AND has both of them wrapped around her finger, can you believe it?!]
Minnie nodded, "They are."
"Do you always say 'I love you' so casually?" Youngji wondered, making the '97 Liner stop for a second before she answered.
[oh, there we go]
"Yeah... I always make them say it," she gulped, "But I make all of the members say it. It's important to hear it from the people close to you, you know?"
[sure minnie... sure... yeah i totally make my friends say i love you back to me]
"Aaaah," the other girl nodded, "That's true."
-
"You really have an entire bedroom here, wow," Minnie peeked inside one of the doors after exiting from the bathroom. Youngji had started to put some of their old glasses onto the kitchen counter to make more room for food on the dining table. The girls were a lot more drinks in now, making it hard for either of them to walk straight as they just continued to chuckle for no apparent reason.
"I couldn't sleep here on my own," the female performer mumbled as she slowly made her way back to her seat, leaving a confused '02 Liner standing
"You couldn't? Can't you sleep alone?" She wondered, joining the idol at the table.
Minnie shook her head. "But that's because... I mean- you have to imagine... I've shared a room with someone since 2010. Ever since I became a trainee. To suddenly sleep alone is gonna be really hard," her words were lulled but still clear to understand.
"But..." Youngji rubbed her eyes gently, her eyebrows still tightly scrunched together, "So... you share a room now in the apartment too? With Wonwoo and Mingyu."
[LADIES AND GENTS, WE GOT HER]
[OH YOUNGJI, YOU WONDERFUL GENIUS]
The Seventeen member opened her mouth, but closed it quickly again, looking straight ahead, before locking eyes with the other girl. "Oh... no!" She chuckled, "No, no... I meant like... alone... in an apartment... yeah."
[yeah... mh]
[my god minnie, we love you a lot, but that hole you're digging is getting deeper and deeper]
[and we love it too much to get you out of it😭]
Quickly reaching out to get a hold of the glass in front of her.
[try playing it off as hard as you want, we got you in 4k]
"Mm... I see..." Youngji dragged out her answer as she kept her eyes strict on Minnie, who, in return, felt the gaze, making her glance over, only for both of them to errupt in laughter together.
[YOUNGJI KNOWS]
[oh she so knows]
[do you understand me now why we need a part two of this video?!]
-
A voice from behind the camera, made the girls look up.
"Oh, your mum is calling," the younger rapper explained, pointing at the producer who was holding up her phone.
Minnie squeezed her eyes shut, "Aaah... I'm way too drunk to talk to her normally.... hold on." She got up from her seat and walked over to grab the device, answering it while still out of the shot.
The crew had turned off her microphone, leaving Youngji's on, so she could talk to the audience in a whisper.
"Minnie is talking to her mother on the phone, she'll be right back."
[MAMA KIM HIIIIII]
[gotta love the queen]
A cut later, the female member was back, sitting in her designated seat.
"Everything okay?" The younger one asked.
The '97 Liner nodded, "Yeah, yeah, she just wanted to talk, but I asked her if I could call her in a few hours or tomorrow, so... all good."
Youngji nodded as she filled up another round of shot glasses with the Soju the other woman had brought along to the shoot.
"What does your mum think about the members?" She suddenly wondered.
"Oh," Minnie covered half of her face as she had just put a rice cake in her mouth, "She LOVES Mingyu."
['what does your mum thing about THE MEMBERS?']
['oh, she loves mingyu']
[NOT THE QUESTION]
[love how she just bursted that one out]
And continued after chewing and swallowing. "I mean she loves Wonwoo too- all of the members, but... yeah... really likes them."
[oh girly]
Youngji nodded along to her story. "Last year... I got to go home for my birthday, for... like a week or so and... I took..." She thought about how she should best tell the story but just continued as Carats already knew most of what she was going to say. "I brought Wonwoo along with me."
[just so we're all on the same page: we thought she went with him, right? But it was never confirmed.]
[WELL, not up until now]
[!wonwoo and minnie couple holiday!]
"Oh, why Wonwoo?" The rapper wondered, handing over the shot glass.
[that's the right question to ask]
The girls clinked their glasses and threw back the alcohol before taking a deep breath to let it settle in their bodies.
"Ehm... I just- He had never been, and... he had time, so... you know," she shrugged while Youngji kept on grinning at the female member.
[WHAT DO YOU KNOW YOUNGJI]
[LOOK AT HER SMIRK]
"And after we left, my mum immediately texted me 'And when's Mingyu coming?' and I was like..." she paused for a second. "Mum... you just saw Wonwoo again after... YEARS, so... let me bring them one at a time."
['one at a time‘ but watch her only taking mingyu the next time and then not brining any of the other members]
Ending her story with a chuckle.
"Where did you stay while you were there?"
"When we were in England, we stayed in a hotel, but then we also visited my grandparents for a bit and just stayed at their house because they live in the countryside, so it was easier to just stay with them."
[for this i really have no words, it's just hella cute]

Weverse Live 230824
"Okay," Minnie sighed as she slumped back into the seat she had occupied earlier on the couch, her phone back in her hands so her face was seen again on the live. "I took Mingyu's iPad so we can listen to some music in the background," she explained, tapping around the screen of the device. "I'm really sorry, Carats, I almost forgot how to do these lives, I haven't done one in so long." She decided to set the phone on the coffee table in front of her, so she could have both hands free to type. "Wait," she mumbled before a lot of rustling could be heard as she shuffled forward, pushing the coffee table slightly back so she could sit down on the floor, resting her back against the couch. "There we go," she sighed happily, "That looks much better. I should've done that from the beginning."
A few seconds passed in silence.
"So," she started again, "I'm accepting song requests," and leaned forward to read the comments showing up on her phone screen. For a bit, she read through them until one caught her eye.
"Miley Cyrus' Flowers, please," Minnie nodded, "Yes, that's a good one."
[if i didn't know she was happily living with her two husbands, i'd wonder who had hurt her, ngl]
While she already started to mumble, she typed in the name of the song, only for it to be played through the speakers in the apartment a second later.
"Is the volume okay?" She wondered, "I'll lower it a bit, so you can hear me better."
With a smile, she read through the comments, chuckling every now and then.
"'Mingyu said he furnished the apartment by himself, is that true?'" She read out loud, "Ehm... slightly, yeah. I mean..." for a quick moment, she thought about her answer, looking around the room. "I just wanted it to be comfortable... but our styles- like our... interior style choices differ a lot from each other... so... it was hard to make choices, so I let him choose a lot of the furniture. As long as it made me feel comfortable, I was fine with it," she answered with a smile and nod.
[it's so domestic, they warm my heart, it's disguting]
[i love them though]
"'Where are Mingyu and Wonwoo?' I mentioned it earlier, they went out to get food but I said I'll stay back and do the live I've been wanting to make but never have time for. So now I'll wait and chat with you guys until they're here." Minnie continued to hum to the tune of the song.
"'You don't want to do a live with them?' No, it's not that... I don't mind doing a live together with them, but... hm.... we- we usually talk about things... that we can't really talk about with Carats...," she gazed around the room suspiciously.
[THE EYES, CHICO, THEY NEVER LIE]
[we would LOVE to know what y'all are talking about btw]
"That sounds weird, but I don't mean it like that, it's just... like the things we talk about at the monthly meetings. Just more private and... boring things... yeah." She ended it with a grin, hoping her answer was enough and it wouldn't cause too much tumult.
[PRIVATE THINGS HUH]
[i can tell you one thing and that's that she wasn't thinking about any talking when she answered that question]
"Yes!" She excitedly sat up straighter, the iPad back in her grip, "I'll add more songs, please request them now. I'm gonna put them all into the queue. That's gonna make it easier."
She added one song after the other, trying to pick out the ones she thought she'd be allowed to play.
Right as Minnie had opened her mouth again to talk, the door to the apartment opened, and the familiar deep voices filled the room,
"Jag-"
"AAAAAH" the girl suddenly shouted, "What?" quickly snapping her head to the right.
[THE PANIC]
[i mean, we didn't hear it clearly, and I'm open for suggestions on what you heard, but know what I want to hear, so I'm staying with mine]
She reached out with her hand, ready to cover the camera when she found the eyes of the culprit entering the living room with an apologetic smile on his face.
[this.]
[let's go over this]
*clip repeats*
[WONWOO]
[not him literally outing them like that]
Minnie nodded, speaking calmly again, "You're back already."
[just survived a heart attack]
"Yeah," Wonwoo could be heard from the side. "The food was already done when we arrived."
[exactly, play it off as if nothing just happened]
"You're still live?" Mingyu suddenly spoke up, to which she nodded, suddenly getting joined by him in the shot. "Hey guys!" He called out to the live, waving his hand to greet everyone that was watching. The rapper sat down next to her, having to push the coffee table back just a bit further as he took up more space.
"We didn't think you'd still be live. We thought you might end it because we took a little bit longer," he explained, a somewhat tight smile on his lips.
"Yeah," she nodded with a chuckle, "I figured."
[MH]
[kinda guessed that by your entrance]
"Are you playing your own playlist?" Wonwoo's voice got closer right as Minnie looked up, following something behind the camera while Mingyu was focused on reading through the comments.
[how he can just DETECT her music]
"No," she smiled up, "Carats just the same good music taste as me," cutely tilting her head when her gaze landed back on the screen. "Oh- come here," he motioned on her left side, "Don't you want to say hello to Carats?" Minnie asked with a teasing tone, giggling when Wonwoo got closer, leaning down to appear in the frame, waving.
"Hello everyone," he smiled.
She patted the free space next to her, "Sit down."
"No," he pointed to the couch, "I'll sit behind you." She immediately leaned forward, so the rapper could get in a comfortable position behind her on the couch, her shoulders squished in between his knees.
[what even]
[like... he's doing this on purpose]
[you know that, right]
[he wants to show off]
The sight of it in the camera made her laugh, Mingyu joined her once he saw it too.
"I'm Wonwoo, and I have 57cm shoulders," she mimicked the deep voice of the man behind her, making him squeeze his legs together, squishing her even harder. Minnie smacked his calves to make him stop, getting a chuckle from him in return.
[THE TEASING]
"58cm," he simply added, to which she rolled her eyes dramatically.
"I'm so sorry, how could I dishonour you like that?" The two men laughed at her antics.
[i need more of this]
[pls let wonwoo forever be this affectionate]
While Mingyu continued to read out loud some questions and answer them along the way, the girl turned around to look up at the older member. She found the bottle he was still holding and reached out with her hand, making 'grabby-hands' to get a hold of it. Without needing to be told twice, Wonwoo handed it over after taking a gulp from it.
She put it up to her lips and took a sip, before closing it and handing it back to him, continuing to look straight ahead.
[i know some other members have done similar things, but I personally don't just take the bottle from my friends and drink it]
[👀👀]
-
"Did you close the window in the bedroom already?" The '96 Liner suddenly asked. Minnie stopped reading through the comments, subconsciously wrapping her arm around one of his calves that had now trapped her shoulder between them and the couch.
[now back to the singular use]
[this might be a translation problem, but i will go with it]
[THE window in THE bedroom]
[y'all have one bedroom or what?]
"Yeah, earlier, why?" She tried to look back at him as she wondered.
Wonwoo shrugged, "It's a bit chilly."
"Ah, but... oh, the bathroom window is still open."
He nodded, "Oh, ok, ok."
The girl got ready to get up, "I can go close it." But Wonwoo didn't make any move to let her out from his legs around her frame.
[he looks so comfy like this😭]
[minnie too]
[just too domestic, i can't]
"No, it's fine. I'll do it later." Making her go back to her original position.
-
"Wonwoo!" The girl made the older rapper jump by the sudden volume of her voice as she raised her head - having let it rest on his knee for a while.
[again, no words, just cutey thoughts]
"Huh?" He wondered, putting his phone to the side.
"'What was the last book you read?' a Carat asked," she explained to him, continuing to look straight ahead, taking a quick glance over to the other man who had the iPad and had started drawing something, making her smirk.
"Ehm..." Wonwoo tilted his head to show he was thinking, "What was the book you had on the nightstand?"
[THE NIGHTSTAND]
[not even YOUR nightstand, just THE]
[imma be sleeping on the highway tonight]
"Me?" She pointed to herself, slightly looking up, yet not being able to see him fully. He hummed in response.
"Diary of a Murderer," she told him and the people that were on the other side of the screen.
The rapper nodded, "Then that. I quickly breezed through it when I saw it."
[sharing books is a love language in itself to be fair]
Out of the blue, Minnie smacked Mingyu's upper arm gently. "I told you to read that," before doing the same to Wonwoo's leg. "I didn't think you'd like it." Directing each sentence to each one of them.
"I'll read it once you're done," her fellow '97 Liner assured her with a smile, followed by the sound of him placing his hand on something, almost imitating a slapping sound.
[they got mingyu to read now too]
-
Minnie was focused on answering a question, getting surprised by the delicate touch on top of her head.
[so checking out if my toaster is waterproof in the bathtop right after this video]
[how are these people calling me single THIS hard]
"I'll go prepare the food. I'm getting hungry," Wonwoo told her, his voice low and gentle as he stood up after the girl shuffled her body forward, ducking her head, so he wouldn't accidentally smack her with his knee or foot, even though he still had his hand on top of her hair.
Mingyu sighed, "Yeah, I'll help you," following his member out of the shot.
"Well, Carats," the girl spoke, "I think that's my cue to go. It was very nice talking to you and I promise to try and come on here more often. Maybe more alone," she added the last part with a whisper.
"What's wrong with us?" the younger rapper whined, making her chuckle as she waved into the camera, the voices of the two men filling the silence as they also said their goodbyes.
[and that's my cue to go and watch more compilations to continue feeding my delulu self]

Is this the same undercover thing you and Tim were discussing the other night? I already told you that kiss didn't mean anything. Right, right. It was for the case. Make out. Stop crime. That totally tracks. Go to school. Okay. Well, have a great day. With your boss. Who you kissed.
| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION 5.01 - Double Down
Words cannot express how much I love this scene… I mean, what a way to start the episode - and the season! This serves as a perfect reminder of the seismic shift that happened in A Day in the Hole… and as an acknowledgement that this was more than a mere kiss, no matter how many times Tim and Lucy want to pretend otherwise. Their reactions made that very clear, be it right after their makeout or the morning after. And Lucy's dream emphasises this again, as it takes place a few days later. They're still affected. They're still reeling. Although, technically, this isn't the first time Tim appears in her dreams… Back when she was a rookie and fell asleep on their night shift, he was already present in her mind, in his full sarcastic and sassy glory. Even her dreams showcases the growth of their relationship...
But the way she is smiling in her sleep… So much for this being just a kiss! She is absolutely enjoying replaying that moment. With her boss. Not her boyfriend. And what makes this even better, is that this isn't the same footage. It's the same angle, same ambiance and all… But this is a steamier version. One where Tim is being more assertive and emboldened. Her dream is so telling… It does get interrupted in the same manner than their kiss. Tamara is nothing if not consistent. Lucy being so flustered, caught off-balance, looking a bit guilty proves how far gone she is.
Thankfully for Lucy, Tamara doesn't bring that up yet, giving her some time to recover. This part of this scene tends to be overlooked with everything that goes on, but that Tamara wants to be there for Lucy is so touching. She did something similar for her for the prep trial. She tries to act casual, giving her some options on how they could spend the day together… Just so she wouldn't have to think about it or be by herself on this day. Something that is incredibly thoughtful because Lucy wouldn't necessarily confide in her, to avoid burdening her. I like that she has a support system… Better yet, that this system is one she created herself. This is exactly what she would do without question if their roles were reversed. These two have such a deep connection and love for each other, it's really heartwarming.
But the teasing is never far with them… And Tamara can't help herself the second Lucy mentions her undercover op. She is having too much fun at her expense… And honestly, who can blame her? 'I already told you that kiss didn't mean anything'… Says the woman who was replaying that kiss in 4k full HD in her dream a minute ago… Who's the lying liar who lies now?! But it's the fact that apparently Tamara brought that kiss up before that sends me… The way Lucy says 'I already told you' makes me think that they've had this conversation several times in the past few days. And not just after Tam got home that night. Her shit eating grin says it all… 'Make out. Stop crime'. So iconic. Once upon a time, Tim told Lucy that 'cop eyes stop crime'… Talk about a different approach.
'Have a great day. With your boss. Who you kissed'. I could quote this whole exchange, this is so hilarious. And I like that it shows how comfortable Tamara and Lucy are with each other. That they are family. Who teases mercilessly each other. For kissing their boss… Who has to deal with something quite similar...

The easiest way to save the Time Variance Authority and the timelines from imploding on themselves? Why, Time Slip again and again into the same scenario hundreds, if not thousands, or maybe millions of times until you get it right (this is not actually how to save the TVA, but that’s a story for another time…).
The beginning of Episode 6 of Marvel Studios’ Loki is essentially Loki reliving a no-good, very bad day again, and again, and again in hopes of just once getting the Temporal Loom to stop overloading. Loki literally spends centuries trying to figure this out, which means that on-screen everyone at the TVA is reliving the same scenario again and again…and again. And again.
Behind the scenes, that meant that the cast had to film scenes from Episode 4 again (and again and again) to mesh into Loki’s quest in Episode 6. While Loki might be frustrated with having to replay this multiple times the rest of the cast was left very bewildered — mimicking what we see on screen for the TVA characters.
“I think the funniest part of all of that, though, was as we were shooting it, you are essentially replaying that Episode 4 over and over and over again, as performers, as actors, they just start to lose track of days, and where we are in the story and what's actually happening,” Executive Producer Kevin Wright explains to Marvel.com. But taking everything a step further, star Tom Hiddleston was clued into what was happening in the latter half of the season with this constant reply of Episode 4. The rest of his friends at the TVA? Not so much.
“I would say the way that Episode 4 ended, the way it was shot, our cast, outside of Tom, thought something very different was happening,” Wright adds with a laugh. “We kind of lied to them about what was happening to sell a really insane performance. Up until I think they had all seen the episodes, they had thought something very different was going to happen at the end of 4. I think there was all this extra level of confusion for them, as we're repeating this moment over and over and over again, trying to figure out why that is happening and what is going on.”
And the cast certainly felt this confusion. Season 1 of the series was filmed in order, while Season 2 was filmed out of order, so no one questioned why one scene was being filmed again and again (and again for centuries).
“Sometimes we’re the end before we’ve shot the beginning before we’ve shot the middle before we’ve shot the beginning of the middle and then the end of the middle and then the end of the beginning,” Star Sophia Di Martino jokes. “It’s already a head melt trying to get your head around this series and all the time slipping and to-ing and fro-ing between universes but then shooting out of sequence is like a hat on a hat and the hat is really confusing.”
But Di Martino didn’t care how many times they had to film it because it just meant she got to see her friends every day on set.
“We did a lot of days in [Temporal Core] room, over and over again. There were some really fun times when we were all going a little bit stir crazy, Cabin fever on the edge, but it was really lovely knowing I was going to come to work every and see all those guys every day.”
To the surprise of no one, Tom Hiddleston kept everyone’s spirits up, because as Wunmi Mosaku notes, “He has the whole script in his head at every moment and he can tell you exactly where you were just coming from and where you’re going.”
“He’s always reminding us like, this is the first time even though we’ve shot this a thousand times, this is the first time we’ve done this. The repetition of the scenes was really, really hard to keep the intensity equal as well because it’s a repeated scene. Honestly, some people are just magicians, and I would say Tom Hiddleston is one of those, I don’t know how he keeps happy, and chirpy, he doesn’t dream about [filming] it all night. He keeps the joy in the room.”
Not only was he the cheerleader, but Hiddleston was also working extra hard to keep an air of mystery for the scene, continuing to film while others had left.
“Oftentimes, a lot of that with Tom specifically was shot when the cast would go on their lunch breaks,” Wright adds. “They would all go away, and Tom would stay back with our directors and our camera operator and everybody and kind of just like churn through so many different versions of these. It was weirdly a thing that I think we all had the same idea of what it was going to be, but only Tom kind of had it in his head of how it would end up.”
Don’t worry, Hiddleston always took a lunch, too, as Wright notes, “he just did it later.”

This is a part of a Wattpad SKZ fan fiction I am writing. Want to read more chapters? Give me some writing ideas.
The dorm was complete chaos and I was right in the middle of it. Clothes and shoes decorating every surface, plates of food left out on the counters and dining table, and all eight boys sitting on the couch facing the television.
Knocking hadn’t received an answer so I had walked in and came face to face with the mess the boys of the K-Pop group, called Stray Kids, seemed to think was suitable living conditions. I was a little surprised because the condition of their dorm was a complete opposite of the recording studio they often worked in.
“Han, why are your shoes right in the doorway? You don’t even wear this pair!” I asked as I walked towards the couch.
I had to keep my eyes on the floor to prevent myself from falling on my face.
“I was planning to wear them today but I changed my mind before I left.” said Han.
“Did you guys have to record today? The new album is coming out next month, right?” For whatever reason, what I had just said made all of the boys turn to look at me at the same time.
“How are you our manager and you don’t know the release date of our album?” asked Lee Know.
“You are constantly recording a song whether it is for an album, an episode of SKZ-REPLAY, or just for the fun of it. How am I supposed to know when you are releasing an album?!” They are always so busy so how am I supposed to keep up with everything they do?
“That’s true but didn’t you decide the date of the release?” Considering Bangchan’s repsonse, I remembered what I needed to tell them the other day.
“I forgot to tell you guys but someone else is taking over the decision making for release dates. It’s too much work for me to do when I am always having to check and see if you are living in a house or a barn.” Lee Know and Hyunjin rolled their eyes at what I said so I glared at them both. They were part of the reason the dorm looked like this!
“Well, she does have a point. Start picking everything up while I start on dinner.” Felix started walking towards the kitchen but I ran after him. I grabbed him by the shoulders, turned him around, and guided him back towards the living room.
“As amazing as dinner cooked by our wonderful Felix sounds, let’s keep the kitchen in one piece, ok? You can make brownies for dessert when I’m done!” Felix glared at me but he laughed soon after. I smiled at him and went back into the kitchen.
I connected my phone to the Bluetooth speaker on the counter and started playing Drive by Bangchan and Lee Know. As if I summoned him, Chan came into the kitchen seconds after the song started.
“Why do you always insist on playing the songs with insinuating meanings when you come here?” Chan asked but then he realized what he said. I smiled because I knew I had won!
“So you finally acknowledge that Drive isn’t about driving?” I grab some pasta from the pantry and turn around to look at him. He shifts on his feet and I can tell he is about to say something.
“Have fun making dinner.” Chan says and then leaves the kitchen. I laugh, knowing that I won this battle but he won’t let me win it again. He refuses to acknowledge the true meaning of the song.
I boil some water and then put the pasta in as I survey the kitchen. While I wait for the pasta to finish cooking, I wash the dishes that are in the sink. One of the dishes on top is a pan that Felix must have made brownies in. I shouldn’t have told him to make them for dessert. All of the boys eat too many brownies but I’m not one to talk. Felix’s brownies are a guilty pleasure of mine!
After I finish the dishes, I go back to the pasta when Hyunjin walks in and he goes towards the sink. Just as he is about to wash his hands, I see that they are covered in paint!
“Hyunjin!! Wash your hands in the bathroom sink. I need to drain the pasta and I don’t want it covered in paint. And when did you start painting something?” I ask as I turn back towards the pasta to turn off the water.
“Changbin is in the bathroom and he is taking forever so I have to use this sink. To answer your other question, I just got an idea of something to paint and I didn’t want to forget.” Hyunjin takes his hands away from the sink and starts to walk out of the kitchen towards the bathroom after he heard the door open.
“While you are back there, call everybody for dinner! We are having spaghetti.” Hyunjin looks back at me and nods before walking down the hall and calling everybody for dinner.
After draining the pasta, I finish making the spaghetti and I see I.N walk into the kitchen.
“I.N, can you set the table?” I ask.
“Sure but can you ask Changbin if I need to set a place for him or if he is going to the gym?” I stood up fast and went towards the entrance to the kitchen.
“Changbin! I thought we were eating together, why are you going to the gym?” I see him right as he is about to walk out the door. He turns around and sets his bag on the floor.
“I guess I can go tomorrow. Chan will probably be able to go with me then.” Changbin walks into the kitchen and I go to Chan’s room.
I knock on the door and he calls for me to come in. I peak my head in to see him on his computer.
“When are you not on that computer? If that computer goes missing, it’s like your entire life will end! Come one, dinner is ready.” I roll my eyes and he closes his computer as he gets up. I walk out the door and he follows behind me laughing.
“That’s because there will be no albums for years if that computer is lost. I have written songs for this coming album years ago and they are all on that computer!”
Chan follows me into the kitchen just as Lee Know yells “Hurry up! I’m hungry!”
I roll my eyes (I seem to be doing that a lot these days but it is definitely because of their attitudes) and walk towards one or the empty seats by the head of the table. Chan sits in the seat next to me but I realize that there is no food on the table. I must have forgotten to fix the plates.
“Let’s fix our plates and eat.” Just as I say it, all of the boys rush to the stove where the pot of spaghetti is. Han is the first one to the stove and he fixes a plate for himself and then Lee Know. Lee Know smiles at him, slaps his butt, and then they go back to the table to sit next to each other. I swear they are always together and I still don’t know why Lee Know is always slapping someone’s butt. It’s funny though!
Seungmin fixes food for himself and then for I.N. It’s adorable how he always looks out for him. I know Seungmin wanted to be the oldest member to have a lot of little brothers but at least he got I.N.
By the time we all make it back to the table, Changbin is almost done eating and he is fixing a second helping for himself. Felix and Hyunjin are talking about matching rings they want to get as if they don’t already have enough. Seungmin and I.N are just now sitting down to eat. Lee Know is showing Han pictures of his cats.
Chan is halfway through his food when he turns to me and whispers, “You might not realize this but all the kids have become happier with you around. You seem to bring an air of ease with you and it relaxes all of them when work gets too stressful. Thank you!” He turns back to his food and then starts talking to Hyunjin on his left but he doesn’t realize how his words impacted me.
Chan might think that I helped them but my life has been made so much better just by being around them!
I smile knowing this isn’t the last day I can spend with them like this!

What Modern Pokemon Means to Me
I've felt this way for so long, and I can't just not talk about it anymore. I'm hoping to find more people who feel this way, and I think Tumblr is the best place to do so. (cw: su/c/de)
In elementary school, I was cheerful and loud all the time, and people thought I was weird for it. I had been told my whole life that I was so unique and special, and since I only got that validation from adults, I would do everything in my power to get more validation by doing whatever adults told me to do and valuing whatever they told me to value. I was almost blindly obedient, and I sought academic validation. I started masking my ADHD. I was so stiff on the outside that I rarely cried anymore, especially at things other people would cry over. I felt like there was something wrong with me, or that I really was emotionless.
When puberty started and genetic mental illnesses came into play, I became a husk. I never displayed emotion, and people called me a zombie. I was frustrated. What did they want from me if I couldn't be loud or quiet? Classmates would ask me unprompted if I was depressed, exchange an amused look with their friends if they were paired with me for a group project, and whisper about me when they thought I couldn't hear.
Since I was a preteen, I would continually push away the people in my life because I had mental health issues that made it draining to talk to people. I wanted to spend all my time alone because I wanted to rest--I constantly wanted to be left alone in silence because everything going through my head was already too stimulating. My younger brother, my biggest supporter, would try asking me to play with him or try to talk to me about something he was excited about, and I pushed him away every time. He thought it was because I was tired and lazy all the time, because that was what I told him. He began to resent me for always leaving him alone, and even though I never tried explaining myself or even going to him for support, I thoroughly believed it was my fault for leaving him behind.
People who make fun of "teenage angst" are just making fun of themselves for what they see as "dramatic" looking back. It's easy to forget that regardless of what hormones generate them, feelings of depression are real and harmful. It felt like no matter where I turned, there was no light to overcome the darkness.
Gens 7 and 8 of Pokemon have gotten me through the worst of my teenage and pre-teen years. I had been following the Gen 6 anime by the time it was ending, and I was so excited for the next chapter of Ash's journey. I remember going around school telling everyone, "ASH LEAVES KALOS ON THURSDAY! NOVEMBER 17!!!" Not many people wanted to hear it, but for what felt like the first time in forever, I didn't care. I was already known as a zombie at school, and there weren't many things I unapologetically loved so much.
I was in middle school when covid hit. During online school, I felt lonely, scared, and sad. I had the rest and lack of stimulation I had always wanted, but I didn't realize how much it helped to be at school where I was forced to interact with other people. When I was really alone with my thoughts, I couldn't find a reason to live anymore. I was having s//c/d/l thoughts. One day during my lunch time, as I nibbled at my sandwich with my head down on the desk, I decided I may as well catch up on the latest episodes of Pokemon Journeys.
The Beautifly episode was playing, but I was only half paying attention, barely able to focus on anything. Ash had misheard and thought they were going to watch Beautifly hydrate, and Goh had a short fantasy about a Beautifly laying on the beach with a cup of juice before realizing the mistake.
He phrased it something like:
"Yeah, they look so peaceful when theY HYDRA-HOLD ON!!!!"
And I just died laughing.
I knew the joke wasn't funny. The funny part was Zeno Robinson's delivery. I must have replayed it ten times. It was the first time in months that I'd felt like everything was okay.
I even showed the scene to my brother. We both laughed at it for at least ten minutes. It was so nice to share something with him.
I became a bigger fan of the show, and started shipping Ash and Goh. It wasn't because Goh was flamboyant, although I won't deny that many fans assert him to be a certain sexuality based on how he presents himself, which is stereotyping at best and homophobic fetishization at worst. I ship the characters because I think they're compatible and are just cute together. That was when I found the Satogou Discord server.
I had never really had online friends like the ones I had on that server. For what felt like the first time, I had found people I could talk about anything with for hours. While progress wasn't a straight line, I was beginning to have s//c/d/al thoughts less and less because the people and media in my life filled me with light to overcome that darkness.
And then episode 62 aired.
In that episode, Goh's Sobble evolves into Drizzile. It was so excited to be an Inteleon that it didn't realize there was a middle stage in between. It couldn't even use Water Gun properly anymore, and other Pokemon made fun of it for that. It began isolating itself, and when Cinderace forced it to come out of its cave, it ran away in tears.
When Goh finds Drizzile, he tells it about his own childhood, when he was pointed out as being different for reasons even he didn't fully understand. When he asked himself "Why?" he only felt frustrated. This is what he tells Drizzile:
"I don't understand, but that's okay. And I don't need immediate answers, either. ... I'm fine if you just want to be who you are. ... If it helps you to nest, just do it. And if at some point you feel like being with a friend..."
"...I'll be there whenever you need me."
I didn't cry. I almost cried, but I didn't. And I didn't need a reason why anymore. Anyone else may have cried. I might have been a zombie or a husk for not crying.
...Maybe it was because I wasn't overwhelmed by what was going through my head anymore. It made me remember what I had been through, but the way these characters reached out to me was so much more meaningful than anything that came before.
The media that allowed me to laugh and to live and to make friends with ease once again provided light to me, not blinding me, but providing for me a moment of clarity.
I know not everyone likes the newer seasons of Pokemon. It doesn't fit the formula that provided light to those who have been fans for a longer time, and believe me, I understand how important these things are, but goddamnit, it's one thing to dislike a piece of media and an entirely different thing to continue arguing when you find out it means something to someone else. I respect those who don't like the newer seasons, and I won't tell you they're better than the ones that came before because, at least to me, they simply can't be compared to each other.
I know not everyone likes Goh, but I miss him so much for what he represented, and I can't thank the creators of Pokemon 2019 enough for what they went through to make what they did.

Stand By Your Man (Negan/Reader)
Tumblr media
Chapter Twelve - Who's She?
ou were in your room, writing on the new journal you brought with the points you gained. Every time you hesitated from writing your days, your thoughts or whatever you wanted to say, but this time you decided to change it.
At the beginning you looked at the blank page, unsure about what you could write. The idea of writing about Negan didn’t seem so bad, but you still felt sore about everything that happened.
When you finally let the pen touch the page, a loud bang came from your door. It was so hard and loud that it made you jump from the chair.
You could hear Negan’s voice yelling from the other side of the door. “Open this fucking door.”
You froze in the moment, wondering why he became this angry, until you remembered what you told Simon.
“So he told him.” you thought.
You waited a bit before actually opening the door, you didn’t want to look scared only because he was yelling and banging. You could see his face furious at you, making you understand that you really fucked up this time.
“What in the fucking hell are you fucking doing to not open this fucking door?” He almost screamed at you.
You pulled him inside your room by the sleeve of his leather jacket. “Do you think it’s normal to yell like that and to catch everybody’s attention?”
“I don’t fucking care about what others think.”
There were only you and him in the room now and you could feel the tension building up. You had to expect this moment to come, especially after touching one of Negan’s weak spots: respect. You both created at the beginning a friendship based on that and now you wanted to destroy it by using the same card.
You put your hands on your hips, walking around the room and looking at him in his eyes only sometimes. “What do you want?”
“I know what bullshit you told Simon this morning, I want to see if you still have your beach ball sized lady nuts and say it directly on my face.”
He was using his sarcasm to humiliate you, to put you in your place. It was a behavior you saw already, but never on you.
You laughed at him, making his expression angrier. “Did you really think I wanted to see you after what you have done to me? If you want me to repeat my same exact words from this morning, I’ll satisfy you: I’m not fucking interested in seeing you.”
He leaned closer, this time being face to face with you. “Do you think you’re gonna win this fucking game?”
You could feel his breath on your face, the same sensation a prey felt when it was about to get eaten alive by its predator. This time, again, you took your time to answer.
“No, Negan, I don’t think I’m gonna win because there’s no fucking game. I won’t play with you, I don’t want to see you again. So, have fun with yourself or your wives because I’m fucking out.”
There was only one thing for sure: Negan would have never hurt you and you both knew this. An episode like this one would have meant certain death for someone, but not for you. He could have said and done so many things, but he did none of them. Instead, he looked at you one last time before leaving you alone.
You started to pant again when the door shut down, feeling all of the adrenaline leaving your body. You fell on your knees, supporting yourself with your arms. Right now, even the idea of your head being smashed with Lucille was less terrifying of Negan’s silence. You didn’t know what to expect from now, but you couldn’t deny you were scared. Tears found their ways again on your face.
────────────────────
Negan didn’t care if everybody was staring at him in the corridor. It wasn’t surprising that they had a concerned look on their face, his yelling echoed in these walls. His mind couldn’t stop replaying the discussion you both had moments ago, he couldn’t stop thinking about the pain he caused you right now. As to make things even worse, the memories of all the discussions he had with Lucille started to appear in his eyes. He felt he was about to blow up at any moment.
He slammed the door when he came back to his room, Simon still sitting on the couch, as if he was waiting for him. When he looked up to him, he stood up because he understood that staying was the worst decision he could take.
“What did she say?” He asked before leaving Negan.
“She said that she doesn’t want to see me again.”
Simon sighed, not expecting the situation to escalate this bad. “I’ll let you know every time if something happens to her, until the situation doesn’t get fixed.”
He patted his shoulder before leaving Negan alone in his room too. His hands were in his hair, looking how everything was slipping from his grip. He looked at Lucille, wondering if that was her punishment for all the suffering he put her into. After so long, Negan felt lost once again.
────────────────────
You really tried your best to not let your mental health be so much influenced by what happened, but you couldn’t. The strength you had before all of this - before the Apocalypse - was disappearing from your tired body. You were falling into the same dark spiral you had to fight when you started to lose everything. You thought it was a matter of time before you became all alone and on your own again.
You started to isolate yourself to the point that you wanted to eat in your room, being in complete silence with your thoughts. No matter how much Simon tried to hype you up or make you talk about it, he failed every single time.
Every job you made, every guard turning you made, every reunion you did, was done with your expression lost in the void. You avoided every eye contact, every word, everything from everyone. Someone that couldn’t stop bothering you was the creepy guy named Edward. It got to an extreme point where you literally shouted him to fuck off. He kind of did, even if he still tried to be closer to you.
You did a great job by ignoring Negan in these past few days, like he never existed before; even if the tears in your room said otherwise.
Negan’s behavior became even worse than before. Alexandria was the main victim from his anger and delusion. He spent the majority of the time, only letting Simon in and telling him how you were doing. The hatred he had for himself grew every time that Simon told him you were doing worse than the day before. But still, nothing changed from the last time.
A week passed by and if you thought you passed the worst part, you were sadly wrong. Another challenge started for you when other people decided to join the Sanctuary. The day that happened you wondered what was wrong, why everybody was being so noisy about it when it was so common for new people to come here and work for their protection.
“For sure she’s gonna catch Negan’s attention.” A woman said and the one next to her nodded.
“She’s gonna be something new.”
Everybody was freaking out because there was a new girl, and she was all around Negan for the time she and her group came here. Almost like an octopus, you thought of it as a metaphor.
When you finally caught a glimpse of her, you could see how everybody was talking about her and the way she was “a breath of fresh air”.
“Thank you Negan, you saved my life!” Her voice sounded like a squeak. He didn’t say anything, he only smiled at her and kept talking about whatever he was saying.
She was probably younger and, for sure, she was more full of vital energy than you. You decided that scene in front of you was enough to bear, so you simply left the crowd with their chatters.
After that “introduction”, you didn’t catch her often, mostly because you were in your room or working, but the few times you did she was talking about Negan with other girls. You didn’t know what she knew about you and Negan, but, from the way she looked at you every time that you both made eye contact, she wasn’t really happy. You knew she was trying to be one of Negan’s wives.
The worst part came in when you saw her and Negan chatting in one of the corridors. You were trying to reach Simon to speak with him about job stuff and that was when you saw them.
“Please, Negan, when can I see you again?” Her tone was extremely euphoric, you could feel your nerves twisting.
“Marika, babygirl, you know that I’m fucking busy these days.” His tone, his sarcastic and charismatic tone came back and you couldn’t stop clenching your fists.
While you were completely rotting in your own room, Negan was having fun like he always did. He made you fool for a second time, you thought, but this time you didn’t have the energy to react to it. You wondered only if Sherry was annoyed again this time because of her.
“I know! But I miss you so much…” You could see her hand touching his beard, like a sensual invitation. But Negan didn’t touch her, instead, he moved her hand away softly. He smiled at her, which probably made her think that she only needed to try more to gain his touch.
You needed to walk past them, knowing you couldn’t look at both of them. You thought that you overcame the anxiety he made you feel these days, but it never left you. Your heart decided to pound anyway, making your chest almost hurt.
You bit your lip before starting to walk, completely ignoring both presences. You felt on your skin their eyes, like if they were ready to devour you. You kept walking, as you heard the new girl, Marika, making a disgusted sound. You were sure now that your presence bothered her.
Negan’s eyes were still on you, watching you walk away until you disappeared from them. It was Marika that brought him back to reality because he couldn’t stop looking at you.
“Negan? Are you here?” She asked innocently, trying to hide the disgust she had about you.
“Yes?” He pretended that nothing happened, but he could see that Marika liked it because she smiled at him again.
He knew what he was doing, but it only helped to grow the hatred sensation he had for himself inside.
────────────────────
When you finally reached Simon, you had to support your back against the closed door. You couldn’t catch what exactly he was doing, but you saw in his hand an unloaded gun. Your shortness of breath and your sobbing were enough to make him drop everything on the table.
He got closer to you, with a worried expression on his face. “What the hell happened?”
Between all the tears, you were able to talk. “He already has someone new, he completely forgot about me. While I was crying because of him, he was laughing all the time!”
“Hey,” Simon’s hands reached your shoulder, “try to calm down, okay? Breathe some fucking air and then you explain everything to uncle Simon.”
You nodded and let yourself calm down with each breath you took in. When it worked enough, you started to talk again.
“It is about Negan. He has another girl, even if I don’t think it’s another wife because no one mentioned it. He clearly forgot about me already, Simon. While I was crying and rotting inside my room, he was happily fucking someone else.”
For all this time, Simon never talked with you about how Negan was doing, but he also was doing pretty shitty. He was surprised like you were when you mentioned another girl around him, because he didn’t know it.
“Listen,” he said while he looked at you, “why don’t you go back to your room and get some rest, mh? I’ll try to fix this shit.”
Tiredness was all over your body, but you didn’t want to stay in your room again. “No, Simon, please, don’t. I think the only solution is me leaving the Sanctuary.”
You didn’t lie about it: for all the time you were isolating yourself, you thought often to leave this place. You always stayed alone, so it wouldn’t have been a problem to survive on your own again.
The look that Simon gave you was an angry one, “Don’t try to say this bullshit again, you’re not gonna leave the Sanctuary. Now go and rest, I need to talk to Negan.”
You sighed again and left the room with Simon. You could see him taking the corridor that led to Negan’s room and you only wondered what they could talk about.

could i bother u for more thoughts on faith and max in a mock apple orchard 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
@gayafsatan — I would absolutely LOVE to brainstorm some fun ideas of them in a mock apple orchard!!
I've been replaying again so they've been rotating around in my mind a lot extra hard and was especially thinking about mock apple picking bc the botanical labs also has a lil orchard where you can pick mock apples up off the ground! But I'm currently in Roseway so oughhh.. ideas....
I want you now I am going to ramble a LOT so please bear with me I swearsies it'll be more fun if we get the full lore dump from my brain 😩💖💕
👇 ROSEWAY THOUGHTS 👇
(I AM GOING TO TALK ABT ROSEWAY THOUGHTS AS A WHOLE AND THEN EASE INTO SOME SILLY MOCK APPLE ORCHARD IDEAS AT THE END OKAY. OKAY ILY THANK YOU).
My thoughts are very chaotic and rambly so let me try to walk though my ideas lmao
Roseway is typically where I peg Faith's death wish arc happening, and to summarize what all that entails, it's when the mask slips and the weight of everything finally hits her in full force.
I always envision this story happening over a long period of time so a lot of time has passed since first arriving at Edgewater and the Groundbreaker.
Halcyon. Her situation. Her identity. The life Phineas threw her into abruptly and his expectations for her. Making split second moral decisions where no matter what someone is going to get hurt. Being so alien and alone, no one to understand her or believe in her predicament but having to be the mysterious competent captain regardless.
It finally gets to her. Bad. And she makes some self destructive decisions. She gets sloppy, careless, hoping someone else will end this nightmare for her. Until they almost do.
I am swiftly brushing past many details so we don't get too lost in the sauce. But Max went after her, found her collapsed and injured bad, carried her back to the ship for Ellie to do whatever she could, and then stayed by her side for as long as it took for her to wake up.
This is such a key moment for them getting closer. Because there was a lot of frustration and emotion and being forced to confront the possibility of feelings existing, but nothing they fully understand or are ready to acknowledge as such yet.
She tries to brush past the subject of what happened, deflecting everything until he raises his voice in a way he hasn't since she gave him the journal and she threatened he never talk like that to her again. And it was enough to break through her facade, for her to show just how utterly broken and vulnerable she is, and they have a proper fucking conversation about where she's at mentally. He still isn't ready for the truth about her life before. But it's a step forward.
There is a lot of patience and understanding and just. Yeah. A lot happens here. Some walls come down. There grows some room for them to become softer and closer over more time.
All of this is important because a short piece I had written a long time ago took place in this area roughly after this incident.
It was a personal outlet vent piece, I will be honest. When I wrote it it was after I had a very bad panic attack after an awful scare. And I wrote it into Faith because I just wanted to get some feelings from that experience out of my system.
The shortened version of that one is Faith recovering from a bad episode, trying to calm her breathing, waiting for her ears to stop ringing and for her vision to come back. Her legs gave out on her and she was sitting under the mock apple trees. Her voice locks up on her when she's seriously distressed. Yadda yadda yadda, Max had brought along his datapad so she could communicate anything important and she was incredibly confused because she knows he doesn't like using his datapad ever and then rendered even more speechless to know he brought it specifically for her in case something like this were to happen again. It ends with her just asking if he would keep talking to her, and they sit there under the mock apple trees for a while, in no particular rush to get anywhere.
And after this point, I think the mock apple orchards become a really peaceful, therapeutic spot for her when she just wants a moment to herself. Sits there, breathes, takes in the Roseway scenery and collects herself before jumping back into the horrors of Halcyon. Spends some time picking mock apples to take back to the ship.
I've been having a lot of ideas of her asking Max to go with her. I'm of the mind if she'd ask directly that he'd either decline, or at least pretend to be uninterested but she's the one who asked so he accepts the offer.
But I can see her being vague and just saying that she's heading out if he'd join her and she leads him to the orchards. By this point they're already often in each other's company, she indulges his interests often, letting him be the one who is finally listened to. But in general, they get along very well in conversation when it comes to a handful of similar interests and their personalities and attitudes bounce off of each other well.
(In my story anyway, since she spends an extended amount of time in Edgewater and the Vale, there was also a lot of time spent doing some early bonding with Max. So do with that info what you will. They're not likeee besties yet but they're much more than strangers by this point, ya'know? Just to get an idea of where their familiarity with each other is at and why there's enough respect and trust to some extent already existing. Not to mention how much time they had spent on the Groundbreaker).
They'd be having such a peaceful time away from the rest of the crew.
Oughhh hear me out, okay, Faith loves to bake. She doesn't even ask, she just makes Max hold her bag open while she starts collecting mock apples and after they finally head back to the ship she figures out how to make mock apple pie for the crew 😭 we already know Max doesn't care much for sweets (I wonder how sweet or tart a mock apple pie would be.. Faith girl what all Halcyon ingredients are you adding to that bad boy) but.. what if.... After everyone goes to bed...... He tries some anyway........ Because she made it..........
Most of what's bouncing around in my brain is them early on having wholesome bonding time in a spot just for the two of them. Just enjoying each other's company. Realizing they have genuine respect for each other, Faith feeling like she found a genuine friend who went to lengths further than anyone had in her entire life to make sure she survived. I am specifying Faith's feelings here intentionally. I write Max in a more complicated spot very blinded by his revenge scheme more or less unaware for a long while just how much the lines start blurring between his faith and his Faith. To put it succinctly. (Look I know I'm always drawing The Good Stuff™️ but in actuality their relationship is suchhhh a slow burn. They are not the most romantically inclined people lmao).
But also.. once she realizes she can talk to him when she needs to. I think coming back to this spot, off the ship, away from the crew, she just likes it there. She likes being there with him. She finds comfort in that spot.
OKAY BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE WOULD BE CUTE.... they should come back here.. post-scylla and post-gorgon...... Ya'know......... The first being when they establish not wanting to be apart and the second being when they want to make that partnership a permanent one......... ASKING HER IN THE MOCK APPLE ORCHARDS WOULDN'T THAT BE DARLING ough okay I need a minute my brain is going too fast to comprehend
My Roseway ideas aren't the most cleaned up I know BUT so many important bonding moments exist and oughhhh LOOSE IDEAS ARE STILL WORTH TALKING ABOUT OKAYYYYY
I just want them to go mock apple picking together and learn how to get smiles out of each other and not understand why it makes their chests hurt but they know they need to do it again
ACTUALLYYYYY post-scylla when he's much more mellowed out and they're the closest they've been I think would be so so nice. they'd be so much softer and he'd probably be so much more involved in wanting to enjoy silly lil activities with her.....
Currently imagining him reading out loud to her, all the conversations they'd have, maybe he brings his tossball cards to show her, maybe they bring one of the lil games, have a lil makeshift picnic....
Godddd the transition between just how much enthusiasm he shows spending time with her is enough to make me explode. Can you see my vision. The reluctance, to the hesitancy, to becoming absolutely inseparable.
I HAVE A LOT TO THINK ABOUT BUT I'M GETTING SLEEPY SO SENDING IT!!!!!!
Literally feel free to add on or share your own thoughts I'm begging you lmao I promise there is so much room for ideas to be fleshed out and better put together, I'm mostly just spitballing what all I think would be incredibly fun ideas to work with. Plus I'm kind of thinking across the timeline and how much their relationship would change between each visit. And how over time they would enjoy it more and more and make each visit more special than the last.
WAIT BEFORE I LOSE THE THOUGHT!! They make a stop RIGHT BEFORE HEADING TO SCYLLA TO GO TO THE HERMIT'S LODGE!! Oh that could hurt so good omgggg. Okay okay I need to stop now I NEED TO STOP.

I’ve been very low energy and haven’t been able to play live a live much this week so I’ve only gotten the oersted ending so far but thoughts:
Shifu’s chapter was much better than I anticipated, I actually didn’t know about the twist even though it was implying that ending, well done, though I wished I put all my training into the one character and not relatively even between all three.
Oboromaru’s chapter is the best, loved the influence it seemed to have on Undertale, plus so many secrets! Just had a ton of fun with it, could definitely see myself replaying it. Also, his skill set is fantastic, very versatile and powerful.
Sundown’s chapter was tooooo short i loved it it should have been longer, it was a great change of pace but i also understand why it could only be that long. Never occurred to me i could run and thus spare mad dog which sucks because i really wanted to spare him.
Pogo’s chapter was the most boring… the crafting system was interesting but mostly unnecessary, the not having actual dialogue didn’t entertain me much, relied too much on toilet humor or awooga a woman humor. It was fine but felt too long and the superboss just seems like a “but why??” Situation instead of something that feels more appropriate to the setting + reward.
Cube’s chapter was a mashup of 2001 a space odyssey and alien, 2 of my favorite movies of all time, and while it’s obviously not close to that kind of caliber I still loved it, even if the tropes were pretty standard. I’m just a sucker for scifi horror. Captain square was a cool diversion but I wish there was more combat with cube themself. Characters had me weirdly attached to them even though they’re nothing unique.
Akira’s chapter felt like watching a goofy dark scifi anime and while again it quite obviously didn’t meet the heights of, I don’t know, the actual Akira film, it was still fun, and I liked the characters. Lots of side quests and diversions that were cool they had at all. Had some annoying moments but overall fond of it.
Masaru’s chapter was another nice change of pace, I felt it was one of the easier ones but for an episode that’s all about battles, the battles were entertaining, well, entertaining for fights with your typical fighting game heavily stereotyped fighters.
Oersted’s chapter felt generic at first but kept my attention, characters were great to use in battle so that helped. The demon’s lair was pretty confusing even with the map, but got interesting after that. But then when you’re exiled there’s no marker for where to go and I explored the damn lair in full two more times hoping to stumble upon something until realizing I had to be captured again. Annoying. I feel the ending could have been super cool with oersted becoming odio but the execution was meh, it didn’t make total sense to me and felt a bit out of nowhere, there weren’t really any clues if you ask me, but I’ll give it a pass.
Oersted’s bad ending was very, well, what you would expect for a bad ending, but playing as all the past bosses was a blast. The battles were all very easy which was slightly disappointing but I think the point is you should be overpowered because you’re a giant dinosaur or a dude with a huge ass gun, and you want to feel powerful! Not many games let you play as a boss like that so this was great
In short I think this game was very ahead of its time, fun and creative and I’m so glad it got this remake. As a teen I heard about this game and became very intent to play it, I just felt like it would become one of my favorite games but it always kept falling behind on my backlog so I’m very glad I’m playing the hd version since it adds so many QOL features and the graphics are gorgeous, the music is beautiful, etc. yeah if you like jrpgs and want something that feels fresh and has variety I recommend this game a lot

400 Days is simultaneously brilliant and disappointing
Tumblr media
I’m currently working on another essay about S2 that’s taking me longer than I expected... which I should have expected but y’know, I’m me. I have no idea when it’ll be finished, but I figured that in the meantime I could write about something that came up while working: 400 Days.
400 Days is the stand-alone DLC episode that was released July 2, 2013, and tells the stories of Vince, Bonnie, Wyatt, Russell, and Shel in the same Georgia area that S1 takes place. While the story doesn’t feature Lee or Clementine, it acts as a bridge between S1 and S2.
I’ve talked about it in the past, even doing a T5F on the Top 5 Missed Opportunities in 400 Days. My past opinions can be summarized in an ask I answered for anon: “Wasted potential. I remember enjoying it when it first came out before s2 released, and the reason I enjoyed it was because I thought it’d be way more important for s2′s story than it ended up being. Bonnie was the only character that mattered while the others made brief, useless cameos if they chose to go with Tavia. Like… it could’ve been so good and it fell flat on its face.”
While not entirely inaccurate to how I feel now, I do believe I wasn’t giving 400 Days a proper chance.
A major thing I’m noticing as I revisit many of my past posts from when TWDG consumed my life is that nitpicking and overanalyzing for the sake of pumping out content on this blog is the big contributor to why I experienced extreme burnout for the series to the point where I started actively disliking it at one point. While I did genuinely enjoy the creating the content, and obviously still do, there’s a lot I take issue with now.
Looking back on everything, I’m starting to see things differently and appreciate aspects that I previously despised. That level of nitpicking I did was mostly negative and infected a lot of my judgment when it came to games I loved. I knew certain points in the series were disappointing, therefore I should showcase everything wrong with them, and anything positive I have to say comes with a footnote of, “it’s good, but I think this would’ve made it better,” as if nothing was ever good enough. While I’m not ruling out discussions of “what could’ve been,” I want to appreciate what we were given.
Case in point: 400 Days. I adore it.
I replayed this dlc not only because it somewhat ties into what my larger essay is about, but also I started playing the Mass Effect games and I’m having a mini-crisis about lowkey hating ME1 more and more as I play... dropping it to play 400 Days and write this sounded sooooo more appealing.
Uh, there’s a freebie update on what I’ve been up to. I’m desperately trying to make ME1 work and then it made me drive the damn Mako and I’m upset about that.....
Anyway-
 400 Days is brilliant.
Tumblr media
I didn’t expect to have as much fun playing this as I did.
400 Days is a quick yet compelling experience right from the beginning, and if I’m completely honest, I haven’t had this much fun playing a TWDG episode for a long time. While I adore TFS, I have a lot more history with that game that changes the overall experience, but this? The whole thing was a blast! Sure, it’s not quite a masterpiece, but it’s way better than I remember. It deserves more credit than I initially gave it and I’m here to rectify that.
Personally, I love mini-stories that all tie together in the end to create one big story. I'm always going to love the idea, and when it’s executed well, it’s brilliant. Because it’s a single episode that tells five mini-stories, it’s easier to pack in so much detail and make things coherent. While we don’t have as much time with our protagonists, we still get a clear picture of who they are and how they’re handling the apocalypse, how they ended up where they are now, and how they handle each dilemma thrown their way.
These stories take place at different times of the outbreak, starting before the outbreak and going all the way to 400 days in where all the characters are together and discovered by Tavia. Three of the five stories center around this gas station/diner called Gil’s Pitstop, with the other two being in that area, but all five have elements that weave them together beautifully. A character may show up in one story alive, then show up in the next as a walker, and it’s all dependent on the order you play and the choices you make.
Each story has a “moral dilemma,” usually a major choice you have to make that affects whether or not a character will agree to go with Tavia, the only exception to this being Bonnie.
And honestly? All of them are great. They fit in so well with the world of TWD. I’d say that Shel’s story has not only one, but two of the best moral dilemmas, whereas Wyatt’s dilemma is the weakest given it’s decided by a game of rock, paper, scissors.
I can’t get into the meat of why I think this DLC episode is great without going through each story, so-
Vince: Day 2
Tumblr media
Chronologically, Vince’s story takes place first in the timeline, giving us a peak into his life before the outbreak where we see him in a dark room pointing a gun at someone who is pleading for their life.
“Damn it, I told you! I already told you it wasn't me, man! Man, come on, I told you like...like twenty times... I don't even...I don't even KNOW your brother!”
Vince then shoots him and flees. You get to decide how he’ll try to ditch the gun, but no matter what, he’ll always get caught and we see him on the prison bus, convicted of murder.
Right away, this tells us so much about Vince yet leaves us wanting more. What happened to Vince’s brother that made him murder a man? We never actually get to know, all Vince says about it is that "I helped my little brother,” which could mean a number of things.
So Vince is the kind of man willing to take things that far for family, or those he loves, even if he ends up with a prison sentence. His moral compass is already twisting and turning in a different way compared to the others.
Similar to Lee, he was convicted of murder before the apocalypse, but Vince seems to feel less remorse or guilt for it than Lee does. Lee killed a man in a fight after he caught him with his wife, a heat of the moment thing... but we don’t actually witness it happen. We get to see Vince shoot someone and later claim it was to help his brother out. I find this comparison interesting since this small chapter never tries to set up a, “This is the beginning of Vince’s redemption arc,” like it does for Lee. It more so leans into the fact that yeah, Vince and the other prisoners are here for a reason and right now, redemption isn’t on the table.
Lee feels bad for what he did and who it hurt. Vince feels bad that he got caught but doesn’t feel bad about helping his brother. The only thing bringing them together is that pre-apocalypse, they accepted that this was their life now only to have a curve ball thrown at them and they find themselves free again.
Well, first they have to gain their freedom by getting outta those cuffs, I suppose.
The set up for this story is that Vince is on a prison bus that’s stuck in traffic. You can actually see Gil’s Pitstop through the windows, too. It’s hot as hell outside, and two other prisoners, Jerry and Marcus, up at the front keep arguing while Vince is stuck between Justin and Danny.
Justin is here after years of stealing money from people with “a really good pyramid scheme,” then lied about it on the stand, and Danny is a convicted rapist. The three of them have good chemistry with their banter, it’s enjoyable to watch. You learn more of why they’re here and how they view their guilt, and have the opportunity to tell them the truth about Vince or lie. In doing so will affect how they view you, either you boast about killing a man and become Tough Guy Vince, or lie and say you didn’t do it only to be labeled a coward.
It’s a pretty good time considering the circumstances, but that’s due to how well written and performed this banter is... until Jerry and Marcus become hostile, and one of them chokes the other out.
But don’t worry, Officer Dipshit [his name is Clyde] is here to help! He starts by yelling at them to stop and then just shooting Marcus in the head before panicking and threatening Vince, Danny, and Justin with the shotgun.
Honestly, I think Justin says it best: “THIS is what happens when you give guns to ASSHOLES.”
It’s super intense, and you know what’s going to happen the moment this incompetent cop refuses to get in between the fight and break it up properly, choosing to instead point his shotgun at them and yell. But Officer Dipshit gets his comeuppance when Jerry, who was choked to death, becomes a walker and attacks him. Then all hell breaks loose as the other officer [Bennett] flees, leaving you and the other two chained together with a walker that wants to eat your face.
Vince manages to get Officer Dipshit’s gun and shoot the walker, but the noise only brings more of them onto the bus where they begin trying to get through the gate.
Now the moral dilemma- Vince has the shotgun. The only way you can escape is to shoot off one of the cuffs, but in doing so will shoot off someone’s foot and they’ll need to be left behind. Whose cuff do you shoot? Danny or Justin’s?
By the way, I love that this whole scene was set up with Danny yanking on the chains that bind you all together as foreshadowing for the solution to this new problem, it’s great.
But here’s the thing about this dilemma... the end percentages still baffle me after all this time. According to The Definitive Edition, 70% of players shot Justin, and 30% of players shot Danny, and I just have to ask why that is?
Tumblr media
Because to me, shooting Danny feels like the obvious choice and is what I did.
Justin is more about keeping his head down. He’s willing to lie if it benefits him. He says that he doesn’t feel bad for his victims, claiming that they knew what they were getting into and he still carried them for years. He’s pretty upfront with his guilt, he never denies it. Hell, he even shrugs and confesses that he lied on the stand, fake crying to try and get a lesser sentence. He’ll joke around, even if he’s mostly annoyed by Danny’s bullshit. Given that he was involved with a scheme that allowed him to make off with millions, he’s also incredibly intelligent. Plus, he’s voiced by the same guy who voiced Ben in s1. I wouldn’t say he’s annoying or anything, he just comes off as more self-serving.
Danny, on the other hand, is the more charismatic of the two. He’s the one cracking the jokes and yanking on the chains, but he’s also the one who wants to help break up the fight between the other prisoners and stands up to the cop as he’s threatening all of you to shut up. This shows a lot of courage and willingness to intervene when he sees something wrong. He claims he’s innocent, insisting that he’s a morally good man and was falsely accused. Oh, and he misses his girlfriend. He’s a real bro, y’know?
Here’s the thing: yeah, Danny’s a “bro,” but he’s also a convicted rapist.
Justin: I wasn't stealing from guys like that. Anyway, better than stealing his virginity.
Danny: Hey, how many times I gotta tell you?
Justin: Here we go.
Danny: Seriously! I was falsely accused!
Justin: How old was she? Fifteen?
Danny: Damn it, it ain't like that.
Justin: You're tellin' me there wasn't a star witness waiting around in your white van? I'm shocked.
Vince: You WERE convicted, Danny. Gotta admit that much.
Danny: Aw, come on, Vince. That don't mean I did it.
“It ain’t like that.” Then what’s it like, Danny?
Because when Justin tells him that he “probably ruined that poor girl’s life, you piece of shit,” all Danny has to say is, “Big talk from White Collar over there. How many lives you ruin, kid?”
As if Danny’s logic is that Justin ruined more lives where he only ruined one, so Justin’s the worse criminal here so let’s shift to him... and I dunno about you, but that makes me feel real icky inside.
I have a feeling it’s because Danny is more of a “bro” and he actively stands up to Officer Dipshit that more people went with him. Or they just weren’t paying attention to what he was convicted of, or they believed him when he said he was falsely accused. Personally, I have a hard time believing him based on his dialogue when you point the gun at him multiple times during the final decision:
Danny: Come on, you know I'm a good guy, man!
Danny: Okay, I know I'm a fuck-up, but Jesus!
Danny: Come on! I did some bad shit, but I'm a good guy, Vince...
And he says that last one AFTER Justin says, “You're gonna do me and not this rapist fuck?”
Also if you DO save him over Justin, he dies later off screen and Russell will make a comment about how it’s a good thing he did before Shel and Becca joined the group... if anyone can spot a creep/pervert, it’s Russell!
Vince: Guys, look...if I learned one thing from Danny, it's that we have to stick together and protect ourselves!
Russell: What?! That guy was an asshole! You should be happy he got killed before Shel and Becca joined us.
Becca: Why?
Russell: Don't worry about it.
Justin is upfront that he’s a criminal and I believe him, I believe he’s a self-serving liar... but Danny doth protest too much, me thinks, y’know? Between the two, I'm gonna take my chances with Justin over Danny. I don’t care that Justin’s a liar and eventually ditches Vince, Vince doesn’t seem to heartbroken about it anyway.
By the way, shooting Danny is the way to get Vince to go with Tavia so make note of that if you’re trying to get everyone to go with her and appear in S2. Actually, it’s interesting that Vince is less trusting of strangers if you go with Danny over Justin, as if he got burned by that choice in the end, hmm?
Anyway, that was my spiel about Danny vs Justin, and I would be interested to know what y’all picked. I’ve read a lot of discussions about this choice and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way about the percentages. I’ve read a lot of responses to why people picked who they picked, all very interesting.
Back on track, this is a solid chunk of the story. I enjoy the dilemma presented here. You’re chained to these two guys and if you don’t shoot one of their ankles off, then all three of you are going to die. What gets me about this is it’s not like the Doug vs Carley choice. Doug and Carley were both in trouble but you only had enough time to save one of them. You weren’t actively shooting them.
Here? You have to pull the trigger more than once. You have to pick one, shoot their ankle off, and then leave them there in order to escape. It’s super fucked and going off the way Vince hesitates and looks back at the one you shot, I’d say it’s something that’s gonna sit with him for the rest of his life.
The pacing of this episode is great, it’s intense, the escalation in hostility between the two other prisoners only for it to end in blood is well executed, and overall the set up is damn good.
Wyatt: Day 41
Tumblr media
Dude. Wyatt’s story. I love Wyatt’s story. Of all five stories, it’s the one that made me laugh the most. It’s absolutely hilarious despite taking place in a very tense and panicked situation.
Wyatt in on the run with his companion, Eddie. They’re driving away after an encounter with group of guys that ended in Eddie shooting one of them, and now they’re being chased and shot at by someone in a truck.
Eddie: God, this is so fucked!
Wyatt: Why the hell did you shoot that guy, man? What the hell WAS that?
Eddie: I didn't mean to do it! It just happened, okay? Where the fuck were you with a warning?
Wyatt: Me? You're putting that on me now? I didn't see the guy, either! I was too worried those dudes were going to pull guns on us or--
Intense right off the bat, a complete panic as you’re trying to shoot at the truck chasing you while Wyatt and Eddie argue about what happened. Eventually the truck swerves off the road and you seem to be in the clear.
From what I gather, Wyatt and Eddie had a run in with Nate, the guy from Russell’s story, an unknown man who Eddie shot and killed in the encounter, and possibly some others given how Wyatt says he was worried about the “dudes” [plural] but he didn’t see the guy Eddie shot. Given that Nate’s alone in Russell’s story and the lone one chasing them down, it’s likely he’s the only survivor from that side. It’s unknown if Wyatt and Eddie were in a bigger group or not, so I’m going to assume it was just the two of them.
Wyatt: Did you mean to pull the trigger?
Eddie: I don't know. I was so keyed up... I just... damn it. Look, Wyatt. All I know is those guys had me all... jacked up like I was on speed or something. I was just on edge, you know? Then I was, like, watching that guy's brains come out the back of his head. I'm sorry, man. I...
The core of why Wyatt’s story is possibly my favorite is the electric chemistry between him and Eddie. The dialogue, the voice acting, it’s all just dripping with personality and you feel like you’re watching two friends who’ve known each other for a long time, just *chef kiss*
Eddie: See? It's fine. Road's straight as my dick.... You think we're in the clear?
Wyatt: Don’t talk about your dick.
Eddie: ...... Why not?
[or alternatively, if Wyatt says nothing, Eddie will just : “... Are you still thinking about my dick?” sksks it’s so stupid, I can’t help but love it.]
They talk like typical stoners, which they indeed are because Eddie’s got some “sticky” in the glovebox and wants it after they believe they’re in the clear. Y’know, the perfect time for some weed. Kate Garcia would greatly approve.
So they’re driving along and we get more context for what happened, more great banter... and then they hit someone.
The dilemma in this chapter is the fact that they hit someone and they don’t think it’s a walker, it’s a person. Even though they’re on the run from Nate and it’s foggy as hell outside, Eddie insists that they help whoever was hit.
I believe Eddie is such a fan favorite not just because he’s funny or a charming character, but because of his compassion. In this moment you feel his frustration and guilt in having hit someone. He isn’t about to perform a hit and run even in this new apocalyptic world even though it would be easier to just assume it’s a walker and keep driving.
Eddie: What if that was you, man?! After all the shit that's happened in the past couple months? Where's your compassion, motherfucker?
or
Eddie: If that guy back there is alive, we HAVE to help him, Wyatt. There ain't a lot of live dudes left these days.
Eddie showed a lot of shock and guilt over shooting a guy before, but now he’s sure he’s hit an innocent person and he refuses to leave them. His humanity does him credit and that’s why he’s one of my favorite characters in this DLC.
But then comes the choice: One of you has to go find this person you hit, and one of you has to stay in the car. Who should do what?
Tumblr media
The end stats for this are 50/50, and it’s decided either by you refusing to go out yourself, or agreeing to a game of rock, paper, scissors.
No, really, that’s how they decide who gets to go out there, best two outta three. That’s why I say this is one of the weaker portrayals of the dilemma, you don’t necessarily get to decide what Wyatt’s going to do, therefore shaping his personality and morals... it’s all up to luck.
Though you can outright refuse, and Eddie will go out anyway so that’s one way to shape Wyatt if you’re playing him as less compassionate, or more cautious, or even as a coward. While there is an option for Wyatt to volunteer, you still have to rock, paper, scissors for it which I’m kinda meh on. Personally, I think if you’re brave enough to volunteer, you should be able to double down with Eddie and make the choice yourself rather than leaving it up to fate decided by a couple hand gestures.
My advice to anyone playing this is try to lose the game. If Wyatt loses the game, he will go out there with a gun to find the person you hit, otherwise Eddie will go and Wyatt will be left in the car. Wyatt remaining in the car is the weaker option, far less exciting and results in you being attacked by Nate and forced to leave Eddie behind. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad by any means and getting to see that it’s Nate is neat when going into Russell’s story, but I think Wyatt being left behind is more impactful because it opens up a new dilemma.
I managed to lose the game by picking scissors every time. I find that Eddie tends to pick mostly rock, at least every time I’ve played before I’ve beaten him with paper, but rock beats scissors sooo pick scissors.
Wyatt takes the gun and goes out into the fog to find the guy, who is revealed to be Bennett, the cop who fled the prison bus in Vince’s story. Wyatt tries talking to him, but Bennett is too injured and out of it to respond. Wyatt starts to help him, but because nothing is ever smooth sailing... walkers begin to groan and you realize that they’re coming through the fog.
The reason I think this path’s better is because now you have a new choice to make: Do you try to help Bennett, or do you abandon him?
Wyatt wasn’t the one driving, and he’s out here due to a lost game of rock, paper, scissors... but is he willing to leave this man out here to be eaten to save himself, or is he going to try and do his best to help the man at the risk of getting them both killed.
I chose to try and save Bennett, which meant I had to to drag him back to the car while stopping to shoot walkers... and the noise only brings more of them and uh oh, Eddie’s screaming for Wyatt to hurry up because he’s being attacked! If Eddie remains in the car, Nate attacks him and no matter how fast you go, Wyatt never makes it in time... Eddie drives off without Wyatt, who is now left in a misty forest with more walkers on the way, and Nate.
It’s rough, but more compelling, in my opinion.
The highlight of this story is Wyatt and Eddie’s relationship, and there’s something about them getting separated that just stings, y’know? I found myself dreading getting out of the car not because of the dangers held within the fog, but because I knew Wyatt and Eddie would be separated after this only to never be reunited.
Well, we assume they never reunite and that... the best way I can describe this is I feel like Sarah from Labyrinth, just throwing myself onto my bed and beating my fists against the wall and exclaiming, “IT’S NOT FAIR!!” at everyone... because it’s not fair that Wyatt and Eddie get separated and it makes me emotional, I’m not happy about it.
But that also proves how effective Wyatt’s story is. Wyatt by himself also has the vibe of your sarcastic stoner friend who’s into indie bands and video games, but that’s part of his charm.
Overall, a damn good story and execution.
Russell: Day 184
Tumblr media
I have a lot of feelings about Russell.
As far as the playable protagonists go, I can say with confidence that he’s my favorite. I love them all, but Russell sticks out to me by how much younger he seems to be, his interesting backstory, and by his jaded behavior.
His story starts with him walking down a long yet familiar road. He has his backpack and a map, and tells us he’s trying to get to his grandmother’s house. However, as he’s walking along, the truck from Wyatt’s story is coming up the road and Russell’s gotta decide if he should hide or stand his ground.
If you hide, you’ll quickly remember why you know this road. Russell will hide down next to a corpse, but not just any corpse- the body of either Carley or Doug, depending on who you saved in S1. A neat inclusion, if not a little sad... and annoying because then I’m forced to remember Lilly shooting Carley outta spite and me leaving her ass on the road... wasn’t S1 so fun??
Anyway, Nate pulls up and talks to Russell no matter what, and you have no choice but to hitch a ride with him. You can try and refuse, and Nate’ll drive away... only for a dozen walkers to appear out of thin air and surround you so Nate will come back for you... I see you, Telltale, I see through your nonsense.
The rest of Russell’s story has him and Nate... bonding? I don’t even want to call it that, but they talk as they drive, we get more insight into Russell’s last group that left him with some trauma.
Russell: There was seven of us. I didn't have any family there or nothing; they were all at my Gram's down in Statesboro. There was a dad who had a daughter 'bout my age. One guy said he used to be a cop, but nobody really believed him; then a teacher and his wife. Leader was this guy, Steve.
Nate: Go back to the daughter.
Russell: Steve was a bad dude, but everybody was with him, you know? He said seven was the magic number, so we didn't add nobody to the group. If we found survivors, it was the same every time. He...he...
Nate: Let it out, Paco.
Russell: Just... "We gonna kill these folks and take their stuff or what?" And then bang, they'd be dead. Anyway... I couldn't handle that. After weeks of it, I packed my shit up and figured I can make for Gran's alone and try to find my family. I slipped outta there. I couldn't live like that.
Super interesting, and I wanted to learn more about this group but Nate ruins it by continuing to be a creep.
By the way, Nate? Crusty. Stinky. He is repulsive and I hate him... but he’s also the best antagonist in this DLC, go figure. I’m pretty sure the writers had a lot of fun making him as slimy as possible. He’s dangerous and a huge creep, he makes my guts feel icky, I just-
Russell: Why you gotta be like that?
Nate: Like what?
Russell: Always talking about women like that.
Nate: WOMEN? Ha, okay. Let me see if I can answer your question. Because...because the hunger a man's got for a woman is all we got left now. No laws, no jobs, ain't nothin' that make us men. But they ain't eaten all the women yet.
Tumblr media
Nate, you’re gross and I hate you.
Unfortunately, Russell is stuck with this man for the time being until the two end up at Gil’s Pitstop only to be shot at by someone inside. Together, they avoid being shot and break in to find an older man is responsible for shooting at them, and his wife is injured, bleeding out in the booth beside him.
The man, Walt, yells at them to get out and accuses Nate of coming back to finish them off. Alarming, to say the least, but Nate casually denies the accusations that he’s been here before and calls Walt crazy.
Given this is Nate we’re talking about and he’s been in this area awhile, I’m inclined to believe that he was here at one point and could’ve attacked the couple, possibly with his group that Wyatt and Eddie encountered.
But here’s where things get interesting, and where Russell’s story becomes more unique when it comes to the dilemma. You’ve got this older couple here, one of them injured, and the other shot at you. They’re accusing your crusty companion of coming back to finish them off, and said crusty man decides to manipulate you by echoing the story from earlier:
Tumblr media
Nate: What do you say, Russ? Should we just kill these folks and take all their stuff?
Super fucked up, and it has an immediate effect on Russell. Nate gives him the crazy eyes and casually points the gun at Russell... so what do you do? Do you comply, or do you stand up to Nate?
Unfortunately, no matter what you do, Nate will always kill the old couple. If you comply with Nate, whether by saying nothing out of shock or hesitantly agreeing, you witness the murders and Nate gloating about how all their stuff is there’s now. Then you get an eerie line from Nate as he looks back at Russell with a smile:
Nate: Relax. You're my boy, Russell. Things are going to be a-okay.
All while Russell stands there in absolute horror and shock, probably reliving the trauma he escaped from his previous group and realizing he’s now stuck in it again.
This ending to the story is awful... not awful as in it’s written poorly. No, no, quite the opposite. It’s awful because of what it does to Russell. By complying, Russell is now stuck with this man who “kept you around,” according to the little choice notification in the corner. Who killed with no compassion, no guilt, and is gleefully admiring the “rewards” he got for doing it. Russell just stood there while two innocent people were murdered and he does nothing to stop it. He looks at Nate and sees Steve, a man he earlier described as a bad person, but everyone was with him, everyone complied. Russell couldn’t take it anymore and he had to leave, only to find himself at the mercy of another Steve and that’s tragic.
Luckily, Russell manages to get away somehow given he’s with the rest of the group in the epilogue, though we never find out how.
As for the alternative, Russell can stand up to Nate and call him out in one of my favorite moments:
Russell: Are you serious?
Nate: Maybe. Why not?
Russell: That's fucked up! There are real fucking monsters out there!
Nate: No shit.
Russell: And you're just going to joke about the shit I seen? Fuck you, Nate!
Nate: I saved your ass!
Russell: You didn't do shit.
Nate: Easy, Russ.
Russell: I ain't hurtin' no one. And don't you hurt these people either.
Nate: COME ON! Can we still be friends?
Russell: No.
Russell leaves Nate behind, and as he’s walking outside, he hears two gunshots from inside. At first, the player’s probably thinking how Russell should’ve done more to help the couple, but what could he do? Nate had the gun, and wrestling it from him would’ve gotten Russell killed. It’s fucked, but there was nothing he could do with Nate holding as much power as he did. Russell had no choice but to stand up to him in hopes of convincing him to leave the couple alone, and then leave.
Unfortunately, Nate isn’t easily swayed. Russell’s lucky he got away when he did.
Russell standing up to Nate, avoiding the road he’s desperately tried not to walk again, is compelling as hell. By walking away, he’s saying that no, that’s not who he will become. He won’t be Steve, he won’t be Nate, he won’t be a man who causes hurt and death in order to reap the “rewards.”
In the end, Russell is more bitter, wary to trust and I don’t blame him. This moral dilemma is so powerful because it’s a choice between remaining strong, brave enough to look at what you could become and say, “no,” and giving in, becoming the thing you feared and ran from.
Not to mention Russell’s story all started because he left to go find his grandmother, to reunite with his family. If Russell were to reunite with her, would he be proud of how he got there? Or would be feel like yet another monster who hurt others to get there?
All in all, so damn good.
Fuck Nate, though. Hope he choked.
Bonnie: Day 220
Tumblr media
Bonnie, everyone’s favorite.... CJ wrote sarcastically, knowing full well that a lot of people don’t actually like her.
It’s a shame that S2 has tainted Bonnie’s character for a lot of people, but this post isn’t about S2 so I’m going to focus solely on what we see of her in this story.
What we get is a woman struggling with addiction, clinging to a life preserver the best she can in a world where the dead walk but people are more dangerous, a preserver that can be ripped out of her hands depending on your choices. Bonnie is recovering from a drug problem when we meet her out in the rain with a man named, Leland, and the two are playing a cute little game of “would you rather.”
She has a deep southern drawl, and easily teases Leland even without player input.
Leland: You've been a lot more fun lately. Feelin' better?
Bonnie: I guess I am.
Leland: Well, you sure do look better. Though you gotta admit, anything is an improvement. That came out wrong... what I mean is... I mean... You were... you were, uh... you know.
Bonnie: Take a hike, big ears.
Leland: I resemble that remark.
Bonnie: You resemble a satellite.
Leland: Ya know, you weren't so damn sassy before. Guess that's a good sign. I mean it, though. After we found ya, you were still so hooked on that stuff. I never thought you'd make it. You ain't outta the woods yet, I know, but you've come a long way, Bonnie. I'm proud of you.
At first, you pick up on a little romantic tension between the two and think, “Oh, I see~” There’s some definite chemistry there. Leland even goes as far as to caress her cheek and say her name softly.
Tumblr media
Then Dee shows up, and you realize rather quickly that she’s Leland’s wife, and then you go, “Oh... I see.”
Dee sees it, too, and calls the two of them out on their flirting.
Dee: I got you a present.
Leland: Aw, you shouldn't have! What did you find?
Dee: I'll tell ya later. I don't mean to interrupt your "chat" with your "girlfriend", but we gotta get movin'.
So that’s not great.
But it appears that Dee found a bag and avoids saying where she got it. Leland keeps pushing on about the bag, and this causes a fight to break out with Dee getting more defensive until she tells then to run. Turns out, Dee stole the bag from a nearby group that is now hunting them down, so the three of them have to get out of there.
Bonnie falls behind, and ends up shot. Leland calls out to her, but we see Dee holding him back before disappearing, leaving Bonnie on her own. This segment is super good, she falls down a hill and a zombified Clyde- you remember Clyde? Officer Dipshit? Yeah, he shows up as a walker here to attack Bonnie if you don’t kill him in Russell’s story. After killing the walker, Bonnie’s forced to navigate a corn maze while avoiding the flashlights of the group chasing her. It’s a well done scene, and the moment Bonnie makes it out is just heart breaking.
She’s wounded, all alone, and she’s slipping all over in the mud, desperate to take cover behind a tractor. Plus her little, “Mama watch over me,” gets me, y’know?
The dialogue that follows is raw. Eerie. Just-
Bonnie: Dee, oh, God, Dee... I'm so sorry, oh, God...
Dee: Wh... why? You... Why? Do... d-- do I look... How bad is it? Bonnie?
Bonnie: It was dark, it's so dark, I couldn't see you! I didn't know it was you! How was I supposed to know it was you?!
Dee: There was no... I thought I...saw you... You did this...? You... killed me. You killed me... I sh-- should never have... tr-- trusted you... just... just a junkie... Leland, she... she did this to me...
Bonnie: I... God, I'm so sorry, so... I can't... Oh, God, God...
Dee: I knew you'd fuck up again... take him...
Bonnie: I... I... no, God, I'm sorry. I need him; I need you both...
Dee: You... bitch... I knew you wanted him... didn't think you had the stones... Goddamn you...
-and then Dee dies. Dee repeatedly calling Bonnie a junkie and a fuck up is painful. Bonnie’s clearly in distress, apologizing and trying to comfort Dee as she’s dying, and all Dee can do is call her a fucking junkie while damning her, telling her they should’ve never trusted her. I cannot imagine the toll that takes on Bonnie going forward.
Now the dilemma here isn’t that Bonnie killed her. You have no choice on whether or not to hit her with the piece of rebar. If you don’t, Dee will kill Bonnie and you get a nice ol’ YOU ARE DEAD. You have to hit Dee, Dee will always die, it’s more up to you how Bonnie reacts and handles it.
The dilemma here is Leland finds them and is horrified that Dee is dead. He then asks Bonnie what happened. Do you tell him the truth or do you lie?
This is rough, to say the least. Because it was an accident. You had no choice, you didn’t know it was Dee and now you have to decide if being honest is the best choice in this moment. Are you willing to take responsibility for something you did even if it hurts you, or hurts Leland? Or are you going to lie to the grieving husband of the woman you killed to save your own ass?
And remember, that group is still chasing you down, it’s only a matter of time before they find you so whatever you do, you have to do it fast or else that group is going to kill you.
Fun fact, according to the stats, 75% of people lied to Leland, and 25% of people told him the truth. Which I find fascinating yet unsurprising that players wouldn’t tell the truth in order to cover their asses.
To be fair, a new player might think that telling the truth could cause Leland to lash out and you’ll get hurt, and that takes priority over doing the “morally good thing” of being honest. Or they don’t want to admit they did a bad thing. Players never like doing that unless it was on purpose.
Not only that, but if Leland knows that truth and you can convince him to leave with you, the fact that Bonnie killed her [accident or no] will always hang heavy in the air. If Leland doesn’t know the truth, then y’know- ignorance is bliss and Bonnie won’t have to face the repercussions from him... she’ll just have to deal with her guilt and trauma internally.
You also have to remember that Bonnie is a recovering addict. Leland and Dee were her life preservers that kept her afloat this whole time. She just accidentally killed half of her support, and now she’s staring at the other half and has to judge if she’s willing to risk losing him, as well. If both Dee and Leland are gone, Bonnie is alone, and that could be far worse than anything else for her.
For me, this dilemma is fairly similar to Russell’s- who are you shaping Bonnie to be with this choice? Can Bonnie live with herself if she lies?
If you lie, it’s easy to convince him to come along with you, but you can still do so if you tell the truth, which is what I did. It all depends on your approach and if you can convince him that it was a genuine accident on Bonnie’s part. Which it was so again, not hard. If you can’t convince him, he’ll stay by Dee’s side while Bonnie runs away and you’ll hear a gunshot.
If Leland leaves with Bonnie, they don’t stay together since he’s not with the group in the epilogue. As far as I can tell, we never find out what happened to him, Bonnie never says.
Bonnie’s story is solid, super enjoyable, I love it. Again, you might be noticing a pattern but every story so far has been excellent, not a single bad one in the bunch.
And that doesn’t change with Shel’s story.
Shel: Days 236 & 259
Tumblr media
Shel’s story is the final event on the timeline, and while I said that Wyatt’s story made me laugh the most and Russell’s my favorite protagonist, Shel’s story is my favorite overall. It’s not funny like Wyatt’s, and I wouldn’t even say Shel is as compelling as Russell, but it more than makes up for that with the story it tells.
It’s funny to think back on this because had you asked me years ago about Shel’s story, I probably would’ve told you it’s my least favorite and that Shel and Becca weren’t great. Again, another example of me not giving them a proper chance.
This time around I was surprisingly invested in Shel as a character. She’s a lot more... how do I put this? Softer? She’s softer than the other playable protagonists in the way she acts, speaking, and views the situation. She has a little sister to look after in this world, a young, impressionable girl that Shel sees getting colder and colder with every terrible thing she sees. It’s understandable that Shel wants to protect Becca, or even shelter her from the reality of their situation.
I liked Becca a lot, too. She wasn’t annoying like I remembered her being. Her behavior is understandable when you pay attention. She’s young, she doesn’t fully understand the weight of the things she may do, and she’s easily influenced, which becomes scary later on.
Shel’s story takes place in Gil’s Pitstop where she and Becca are staying with a group of familiar faces. Yep, the cancer patients from S1 are back. Turns out Vernon was more of a bastard than we initially thought as we learn he planned to steal the boat from the moment we found it... and given that he’s no longer with the group, I’d say that didn’t work out for him in the end.
Aside from them, we have Stephanie and Roman. These two are key to this story, both having ideas about how Becca should be raised, and Roman becomes a more antagonistic character in the end.
This story is about Shel’s conflicted feelings about the world and what it’s doing to her and Becca. They have to keep inventory of guns and supplies and hey, remember how Dee stole that bag? Surprise, Shel’s group were the ones chasing you down when you were playing as Bonnie, and they make comments depending on if Leland stayed with Bonnie or was caught.
Shel meets Roman outside where we see “guard dogs,” which are just walkers they’d tied up to keep people away. Depending on if you stayed with Nate or stood up to him, you may encounter Walt as a walker, or Bennett. They’re feeding the walkers when Roman makes a comment about how Becca wouldn’t mind doing this, and that Shel can’t keep sheltering her, something Shel struggles with.
Shel also discovered the old woman walker is eating a puppy and the affect on her is instant, nearly bringing her to tears. Which is completely understandable. When I say that Shel is softer, it’s because of a moment like this where she sees something that’s sad and she doesn’t just shrug it off. She feels it deeply, and that’s further proven when she goes back inside only for Becca to scare her as a little prank.
Shel lashes out at her, and I love their conversation once she’s calmed down.
Shel: It's the walkers...I guess they got ahold of a puppy.
Becca: A puppy?
Shel: Yeah. I guess it just...it got to me, ya know. It was so little. You don't think about babies anymore, but... After a while, you just kind of accept...this is it.
Becca: Yeah. I guess you kinda forget.
Shel: Right? But then...you know...there it is. You see it and you want to protect it... And now it's gone.
Becca: That sucks.
I feel like this is obvious, but Shel seeing a dead puppy being eaten by walkers probably brought Becca to mind. While Becca isn’t a baby, she is still a kid, and we know how TWDG works. Children and teens aren’t safe from death in this series. In S1 we dealt with Duck’s tragic death, and we found the walker child in the attic. S1 is all about Lee doing everything in his power to not let that happen to Clementine, and it cost him his life.
Becca could die just as easily as that puppy. All it takes is one moment, no matter how hard Shel tries to protect or shelter her, and she’s gone.
Also, this whole “you don’t think about babies anymore” is clever, given what happens in S2 with Rebecca and AJ, I wonder if that was intentional or not.
But the moment is interrupted when Stephanie barges in to bring us our first major moral dilemma.
A man was caught trying to steal supplies from the group. He’s beaten up, and Roman claims he was already like that, and all he did was tie him up and put a blindfold on. The man doesn’t speak English. He isn’t bit, and he didn’t hurt anyone. This is the second break in the group’s had. The group is arguing among themselves when Roman gives us the dilemma:
Roman: Look, we all know what we're talking about here, so let's stop dancing around it. We either let this guy go and take our chances...or we kill him.
This is... fucked? How else do you describe it? This man can’t defend himself since he doesn’t speak English, no one can understand him, he can’t stay with the group but letting him go is risky. What do you do?
There isn’t a right answer to this, even when you know both outcomes.
On one hand, you let him go. You can’t just execute a man, that would be wrong, so you send him away and maybe he won’t come back. You’ll be in the clear and you’ll feel like you did the right thing.
Shel: He's not even armed! We can't just kill him! This isn't in self-defense.
Becca: Isn't it, though? If it means he can't come back to hurt us?
Shel: That isn't the same thing.
Joyce: But last time...
Shel: Joyce, that was a long time ago. If we kill this man, then we are giving up a part of ourselves that we can NEVER get back! I'm not ready to let that go.
But that doesn’t happen. The man does come back and he brings his group, we’re attacked, and Boyd dies in the fight. Roman becomes obsessed with securing the place by any means necessary.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, you kill him. You make the choice as a collective group to execute a man and you get to live with that.
Shel: We can't take the risk. We kill him.
Stephanie: There's gotta be another way...
Shel: Tell me. What if he comes back? With weapons, or...or a gang? Is it worth losing any one of us?
Stephanie: Jesus. There really is no other choice, is there?
Roman: We can't keep him here and we can't let him go. If there's even a chance of him coming back or telling folks who might try to hurt us, we can't risk it. I won't ask you to watch, but if we do this, we're all in it together. If this ever happens again, it's gonna be one of you pulling that trigger.
And in doing so, the group’s morale plummets, and Roman still becomes obsessed with securing the place by any means.
But you also have to consider what this will do to Becca. Shel just had to face a hard reality when she saw that dead puppy, and now she’s left as the swing vote that decides a man’s fate. That’s a lot for any person and there are so many factors at play here.
No matter your choice, there’s a time skip and we see Shel and Becca in an RV playing Go Fish. Becca admits that she’s been sneaking out, something that’s horrifying to hear when you realize what Roman would do to her if he ever found that out, or if Becca was spotted and led someone back that wanted to hurt them.
Speaking of Roman, he comes knocking on the door to ask Shel to come talk to him about something important. It’s not long before you learn what happened: Stephanie stole supplies and tried to escape.
Roman: We caught her trying to escape.
Shel: Maybe she wasn't. Maybe she just wanted to get outside these walls for a while. Ever since the...incident, you've made this place feel...I dunno...oppressive.
Roman: We've made it safe. And she was definitely trying to escape; she had most of our ammo and medicine with her. She screwed us, Shel. All of us. And now were' in that position again where we can't keep her here and we can't let her go. You do know why I'm telling you this, right?
Roman’s telling Shel this because he wants her to shoot Stephanie, and she can’t say no.
As if this wasn’t enough of a gut punch, Shel goes back to the RV and tells Becca what’s going on.
Y’know that feeling you got when you heard AJ say he liked killing Lilly for the first time in TFS? I got a similar feeling when Becca said this:
Becca: Oh, my god. The hell did she do that for?!
Shel: Roman says we have to-
Becca: Kill her? Yeah! Why would she do this to us?!
Shel: She's just scared. She made a mistake.
Becca: Well, that'll be her last mistake!
Shel: Becca! Stephanie is your friend!
Becca: WAS my friend.
Shel’s fear that this world is changing Becca isn’t misplaced, and now she’s forced to face that reality head on once again.
Also, I’m pretty sure this is the moment that causes people to dislike Becca or think she’s annoying, but again, given what she’s been through no matter what choice you made, her reaction makes sense. If you let him go, she saw her group attacked and Boyd killed, and that showed her that it was a mistake to let that guy go. If you killed him, then she watched her older sister decide the fate of a man and then watched him be executed.
A lot of the TWDG fandom tend to intensely dislike child characters for the mere fact that they’re not Clementine, and ironically, they end up behaving in ways that make them more annoying than any child character they dislike. So I wouldn’t take their word for it when they say Becca’s a bad character. Play the story, pay attention, and make the judgement yourself.
As for the second moral dilemma in this story, Shel can either take her gun and shoot Stephanie, or she can take the RV keys and drive away. Do you agree to kill Stephanie or run away?
For me, this is an easier decision than the first one. I grabbed those keys and we got the hell outta there.
But for this choice, Shel can either give in and allow this to be who they are now in order to protect Becca, or she can prove that there are other ways, that they don’t have to stay under Roman’s thumb and kill whoever he tells them to. There’s no saving Stephanie at this point, you have no choice in that, but you do have a choice in how Shel raises Becca from now on.
Oh, and if you’re looking to get everyone to go with Tavia, you have to drive away. If you shoot Stephanie, then she and Becca will refuse to go with Tavia.
Shel’s episode is my favorite, and the perfect way to end the main story if you’re playing in chronological order. She’s another great character who I didn’t expect to make me feel the way she did.
Epilogue: Day 400
Tumblr media
Once all five stories are finished, we’re introduced to Tavia. She’s a scout looking for survivors to bring back to her community. She talks with someone over the radio about finding all the photos and a note near Gil’s Pitstop that gives the group’s location.
Turns out that Vince, Wyatt, Russell, Bonnie, Shel and Becca all found each other and are surviving together in their campsite. Tavia approaches the group and it’s up to us to convince as many of them as we can to come with her.
For Vince, you have to shoot Danny, and with Shel you have to escape. Bonnie will agree to go no matter what. Wyatt and Russell can be convinced to join regardless of your choices. The best option is to tell them that you find people from everywhere, and Wyatt will agree to go in hopes of finding Eddie while Russell wants to find his family.
Most of the dialogue is determined by your choices, as well.
Once you have your group, the DLC ends with the group burning the photos and note, before asking Tavia how she knows if this will work out.
Honestly? Great ending, great execution of consequences brought on by your choices.
Tumblr media
The 400 Days DLC is fantastic. It’s brilliant. I love it to pieces, and I highly encourage anyone reading this to replay it.
Don’t play S1 first, and don’t plan on jumping into S2. Play the DLC by itself, let it be a story contained to an hour of your time. That’s what I did, and I had so much fun! These characters and their stories are wonderful, the writing is phenomenal, I love it!
But... Now that I’ve spent all this time praising this DLC, calling it brilliant and encouraging everyone to revisit it... it all comes with an asterisk* attached:
*As a single experience, 400 Days is brilliant and I love it.... but when played together with S1 and S2.......
400 Days is disappointing.
That’s the glaring issue here.
I can praise this DLC all I want, and I did. That doesn’t negate the big picture, or the big problem fans tend to have with it.
400 Days acts as a bridge between the two seasons but let’s be real, the only story that actually matters here is Bonnie’s. She will always leave with Tavia no matter what, and she plays a major role in the group’s capture and eventual escape. The others make brief, meaningless cameos that only exist to make the player go-
Tumblr media
-every time one of them shows up. We never hear from them, or about them, again after that.... so what was the point?
What was the point of 400 Days in the grand scheme of things?
400 Days becomes worse when you get your hopes up that it’s just a teaser, a little taste, of what’s to come in S2. You think these writers took the opportunity to introduce you to these important characters, tell you their backstories, so that they could be incorporated into S2′s plot as major characters.
But no, only Bonnie.
And even Bonnie’s character becomes muddled by ep5 depending on how you tried to help Luke.
The thing is, 400 Days isn’t terrible because of this. Obviously. It’s disappointing, but why it’s disappointing and the way people claim it could’ve been fixed is... well...
It’s not simple. It’s so easy to just be like, “400 Days is bad because our choices didn’t matter! It’s pointless! Why didn’t they do something else?? I know exactly how this could be fixed!”
I know what everyone always says whenever 400 Days is brought up: “The 400 Days cast should’ve been the cabin group.”
Great idea in theory, or headcanon/AU.
In execution, it would’ve been too complicated and I think we all know that, but a fandom’s hubris knows no limit when it comes to them believing they know better than the developers.
Not to say we can’t criticize issues with the writing, but it helps to at least be understanding of how things actually work, i.e. video games are hard to make and long posts on tumblr “fixing” video games are fun to read but wouldn’t actually work in practice because that’s not how video games work so maybe stop insulting the developers while acting like you know better about a field you don’t even work in.
Trust me, I know. Don’t think I’m not one of those people, I’m literally here writing you a long post on tumblr. I’m not innocent here. Have you read any of my Violet posts? You don’t think there was a long period of time where I thought *I* knew better?? I wish I could say you’re right but you’re not, I’m just as bad. I’ve said some unkind things about certain developers that I look back on and just face palm as I slowly sink back in my chair shamefully. I still agree with my criticisms but not the way I said them, and I’m trying to not be like that anymore.
All that to say it would be too complicated for the 400 Days cast to be the cabin group due to the different combinations of characters who can stay or go with Tavia. What happens to players who had only Bonnie go with Tavia? Or had all but one go? The only solution would be to have a set ending for 400 Days, removing the consequences of choice and having a more linear ending.
Y’know this would’ve gotten them the “my choices never actually matter >:[” criticism which I believe is a fair criticism of games that make these big claims about choice and consequence only to give you the illusion of it. But, there needs to be some common understanding of what can realistically be implemented in a game like that. You can’t expect them to have a thousand different outcomes and have it be a smooth, functioning game, especially when you take into account the release dates and the things going on behind the scenes at Telltale and how that affects development. These studios have deadlines, they have higher ups working them overtime so they can push as much product out as possible, they have a budget that’s never enough, and frankly, shit just happens sometimes.
I’m not saying that we can’t be disappointed. I’m disappointed that I’ll never get to know if Wyatt and Eddie reunited, or what happened to Russell. I have no idea if Shel and Becca are still alive, and I don’t know where Vince is. I don’t even know what happened to Bonnie after S2.
When thrown into the entire series, 400 Days is disappointing due to the high expectations it brings for S2, but I argue that it isn’t as terrible as people claim it is.
I literally just spent several paragraphs explaining why it’s brilliant and why you should go replay it by itself, I think it’s far from terrible and deserves praise for its characters and the moral dilemmas it presents. Don’t think about S2 while you’re playing it, that’s not the point. The point is to experience it for what it is, a series of stories set in the zombie apocalypse that all lie together in the end.
I would love to hear more thoughts about this, whether it be about the characters or what choices you made and why. Even if you disagree and think 400 Days is trash, tell me why, I’m interested to know.
In conclusion: 400 Days good. In other news: Happy New Year
As I’m writing this, it’s New Year’s Eve and I’ve got a little over an hour before midnight, sooo here’s a happy new year to everyone. I hope you’re all doing well, staying safe and healthy the best you can.
As I said at the start of this, I have another essay I’m working on related to S2.... it’s taking forever because there’s a lot to cover, it’s about some polarizing characters and choices, and I have no idea when I’ll be finished. If it takes even longer than I’d like, I’ll probably put it down and work on a smaller post in the meantime. Maybe something about the Michonne mini-series or a character analysis.
I guess my new thing is disappearing for weeks at a time only to pop in whenever there’s news about the Clementine comic or to throw down a long ass essay about something no one asked for hahaha. I can live with that, I think. I will be around for the rest of the weekend, though, so any asks about 400 Days will get answered, I’d love to hear from y’all.
Uhhh any other news... Oh, @pi-creates and I are making a new Dragon Age server on discord that we’re gonna open up soon for anyone interested in that. Right now it’s mostly just discussions about the games and lamenting about the apostates who broke our hearts... well, Pi’s lamenting, I’m mostly just spewing bitter salt about the sewer rat bastard that is my apostate boyfriend >:[ We’ll post a link once it’s ready to go, though I dunno when that’ll be. We’re pretty proud of the set up, and I made a bunch of DA emojis. It’ll be a fun time.
Think that’s everything. I wish y’all a happy, healthy new year!

Twins - Ep 8
There was so much to unpack in this episode, so many different, random scenes with the other characters, with ZEE, that I won't analyze this episode because I'm probably wrong about every aspect anyway 🤷‍♀️ What I can write is that Sprite and Zee's parents, especially their mother, should never have children. And their relationship with sport is simply weird. I identify strongly with Thun and his confusion over Sprite and Zee's crazy life choices 😤 Every day with these two idiots shortens Thun's and my life by a year, I'm sure of it. I like dedication and faithfulness to established kinks, so I really liked Mike's fondling of Jack's tits ✨
Gods… the hugging scene… my favorite scene, how Sprite cuddles First's thigh, how he hugs him, how he holds his hand, the whole range of First's reactions to his lap suddenly full of Sprite, all thicc and lovely, and cuddly and clingy… personally, if I were First, I would die. That would be the end, I couldn't survive something like that. ( I have to ask: why did they replayed the confession scene, not that I'm complaining because it's very nice, but they skipped pushing their beds together and decorating their love nest??? hm??) First squishing Sprite's cheeks? Seriously, I would do the same. The roundness™, Sprite in general is so yummy… I love First just as much. Oh, First and Mhok, both such tough looking but soft inside guys and their devoted, round eyes… 🥺
Twins gives me high anxiety levels. It's just that every moment I watch this series, especially from this episode, I feel like I'm watching a speeding car and I'm waiting for a disaster. I still had a faint hope that Sprite would confess who he was, but after this episode I no longer had it and I'm sadly waiting for First's heart to be broken by Zee, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even that stupid mother, although completely selfish, but rightly said that it would harm them. She meant herself, but it really applies to everyone. I don't know of any, ANY, institution, including sports, that would tolerate impersonation of someone else. I know that Twins is a stupid show, which I admit objectively, but really, there are some limits. And everything would be fine, if it weren't for the fact that their lies and deceit will probably hurt others more than Sprite and Zee… Ffs Sprite, it was fun watching you fawn over First, trying to get his forgivness, but you lied to him and he caught you! And he was hurt and immediately lost trust in you, which you regained only because Fisrt is a good boy and is in love with you!
Guys, my anxiety before every new episode of Twins is 📈📈📈

Everything I Love about Armin's Alternate life so far
1. It's realistic??? I mean, let's face it. It was so like Armin to behave like that and focus more on a preparing the big suprise and forget about everything else? He just gets hyped so fast and we have already seen that in a spin off, for example? And Candy always was overreacting instead of talking with boys first (e.g. Priya's arrival). And Armin was, in fact, most immature of them all, and I just knew their problem would be in communication.
2. IT WAS SO FUN! The dialogues got me laughing soooooo much i cried because IT WAS JUST GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. AND THE INSIDE JOKE ABOUT BALDNESS? GOT ME WHEEZING WMAJJSNSBS
I feel like humour was one of the best thing so far, i had such a good time playing this episode akalsoxowjajja
3. Just Armin. Like, the first time I played the episode i was so hyped i was too happy to see him and read him to focus. My mind went like "ARMIN ARMIN ARMIN BARK BARK BARK BARK" and i cried too much and laughed all the time and i had to replay it so to process all the data (lololol)
And i have SO MANY THINGS TO SAY ABOUT MY PRETTY BOY, YOU HAVE NO IDEA
Because the break up from his perspective was just as bad and hurtful, leaving him confused about what have happened and after he worked so hard just so he could suprise her (and he worked even in GARDEN!!?!?! like, OUTSIDE!!!?!!). Yet he behaved way better than Candy, he was quite polite and he really just saw her and instead of getting just as mad as her, he wanted to take his chance to make things better between her, just like Alexy has planned.
I loved when he tried to start a polite conversation (Candy could never. And they both were hurt so it really makes him seem more mature than her WHICH IS JUST AS NEW AS HIS SUDDEN LOVE FOR SHOPPING).
I also felt like he interrupted Rosalya just because he noticed Candy was uncomfortable, because he did it only after looking at her and i honestly loved this moment way too much than i should have.
His teasing seemed more flirty than mean. I think he actually hoped they would start being friendly and forget about the fight, maybe he even planned to ask her out when she'll calm down and stop attacking him? Especially in a mall (I know, i know, the bus scene, but as much as i enjoyed it, i think it was actually more teasing less flirting, at least because of the way he ended it :<). But when Candy goes to get some food and he plays with her hair and whispers to her and proves that he know her by not only remembering her regular order but literally talking about it in so many details, like, he wanted to show her that he cared SO MUCH 🥺🥺🥺🥺 my poor baby 🥺 also the fact that he actually followed her even tho he didn't have to stick with her, he wanted to talk to her, spend time with her, he was desperate to be with her and you cannot change my mind about that.
He offered her his help at the computer store and talked about how great time they had together while gaming in the past and i'm sure he thought it's finally his chance to shine and be a good (boy)friend and wkksjsjdjdjjd he imagine him getting so tired when she starts to yell at him again, no wonder that he lost his patience after all.
And even when he did lost his patience it was actually just him saying how much he cared AND WHEN SHE TOLD HIM THAT NOW HER WHOLE LIFE IS WITHOUT HIM???? I'm so sure i heard the sound of his heart breaking into tiny pieces. When he finally realised that he doesn't, in fact, have a chance to try again with her, she doesn't want to try again. And that's when he finally left, because his hopes were buried.
And when no one really understood why Armin haven't told her about the Disneyland after the breakup or even now when they met again and why he forbade Alexy to talk about it, i might have an idea. I mean, i could be wrong, but i think he just didn't want her to feel guilty about the situation?? Like, in his mind his idea with the suprise was great so he thought that as soon as she will acknowledge it she would be devastated about how she has treated him? I don't say it was his firsty thought, because at first he was probably just angry and confused, but when they met again, now that he's healed, he just didn't want her to feel bad. Idk, it's actually a great wonder to me too, but that's my closest guess. Also, he didn't say it out loud but i think he actually realises HOW MUCH stupid this idea was and what he did wrong because he was so nervous when she confronted him about it? I feel like the emotions and the way she really blamed him for everything while it wasn't entirely his fault and just how mean she was made him not confessing it to her. I mean, he did said it might have been stupid, but he didn't actually apologized or state that it was, not just might have been, u know? If only Candy could behave herself and take a few deep breaths (and maybe realised she wasn't oerfect either) before talking to him, i bet things would have went differently
And then the KISS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The way he stiffened at first, but then just relaxed and kissed her back like it was the most natural thing to do, like those last three years have never existed, like they weren't just yelling at each other a second ago??? HOW HE WRAPPED HIS HANDS AROUND HER AND PUT HER EVEN CLOSER?!?!!? IF THAT WASN'T HIM SCREAMING HOW MUCH HE MISSED HER, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE DID?!?!
Also, i love the illustration, how their outfits just match and how they still look angry while kissing, like THE TENSION AGGGRHHH i love images like this, it's officially one of my fav illustration in the whole game (not as nice as Campus Life Nathaniel 16 tho, haha)
And i have so mant thoughts about Armin, but i think i will just shut up for now and let my emotions fall down a bit hahhaa
4. Outfits for AL Armin are the best ones in AL. I love every single one of them, the outfit we buy with real money included. They're totally my style, they're well made, they're just perfect
5. Rosalya and Alexy's redemption after LL. No more comments about it, i'm just glad they're making them, well, them, at least in all of the ALs, cause i refuse to believie they weren't kidnapped and replaced by their fake versions in LL
6. HAVE I MENTIONED THE ILLUSTRATION??? NO???? OH WELL MY BAD, BECAUSE THE ILLUSTRATION 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tumblr media
(now when i look at this illustration i also notice that Armin looks more upset than angry??? Or am i imagining things?)

Hey again!
So, I DO read the tags! But well, first, replaying. I usually only ever have one "canon playthrough" that I refine, meaning only one RO I'll ever romance, only one MC I will ever made. I don't play IF for replayability, only for a story with mouore freedom than a regular book. Meaning the longer the better since I don't have to experiment!
With that being said, it's also a general preference of mine, not only with IF. I know I often get frustrated and disappointed with 13 episodes or less animes for example - usually, 26 episodes is the minimum for me for a "short anime", and at around 50 I'm starting to be truly satisfied, but I'm the happiest at 100+ episodes. I think with IF it's just that I've been disappointed too many times with the shorter stories and I don't trust them anymore. But like I said in my original post, with WIPs is different, since when I start I don't know how long will it be. But it's very different since if I don't like it, I can just stop, no harm done. When I purchase a game, well, that's "lost money" if I didn't like it. So while I probably won't ever purchase a less than 120k words game outright (unless I played and liked the WIP), an author saying their project will be short, if I have access to the WIP, will never stop me.
Now, for the things you asked in the tags! - No, I never ask for a refund, because even if I didn't like it, the author still put a lot of care and a lot of work in it, and I would feel bad for asking for a refund, especially considering IF games are cheap usually! Besides, I will always try to support indie devs. - I play the Choice of Games games on Steam, but my favorite line of products are actually the Hosted Games ones. There are only a few games from the Choice of Games line itself that I like because too often they are too stat oriented, but some titles were great. Heart's Choice is hit or miss, more often than not miss - but I see from the start I won't like it, so it's not a big deal, I just don't purchase - like, usually I don't like the concepts much basically. There have been a few projects I loved though! - I also play a lot of IF games on itch.io though, so the ones made with Twine usually (though we're starting to see Twine based games on Steam too!).
I do prefer when games have a saving function, so usually in that regard, the ones I can find on itch.io are better, as well as
oh you do read tags! Tumblr tags are always fun to read and sometimes they include extra thoughts from the author.
I do remember you said you only have one "canon" playthrough. I think that was the first I heard of it as I've read people talking about how they have played through games multiple times before. It's certainly interesting to think about having only one canon MC.
But I think I can understand if you feel guilty about refunding. I guess I'm a heartless monster :/
I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I've been reflecting about games. No matter if the game is good or bad, I have to give credit to the author for attempting it. Whether there are multiple grammar errors or scenes are not working, the developer tried something they may not have been good at.
It takes guts to publish a game. Especially when there is a lot of criticism towards it. I have to respect that, you know?
I was worried ATOL wouldn't do well, especially since it was going to be published under the Most Recently section in itch.io. I don't think most go there unless they are looking for new titles to read. Grammar mistakes are the bane of my existence so I made sure everything worked before publishing it.
Also I think your ask got cut off? Was confused when I read it lol but I thank you for taking the time to respond :)

okay i’ve watched a few seasons now, and i’m about to move into pre-new era seasons so-
that do or die twist is so unserious omg
i know big brother has gaslighting, spying, & manipulating too but these people just straight up going through each other’s bags is so funny, they all talk about lifelong friendships but they also don’t give a FUCK lmao
(none of these are in any order, just top 4)
faves in 41: shan, xander, erika, evvie
faves in 42: maryanne, romeo, lindsay, drea
faves in 43: i did not watch; i’ve seen the discourse around this season and i simply Don’t want to feel pain like this so i put it off for now
faves in 44: i did not watch; like purely because of the nonsense going on with carson aksjdjd i might genuinely go back to this one later
faves in 45: kaleb, kellie, jake. why did i only list 3 people? bc genuinely it’s a four way tie between dee katurah julie and emily, like this was an amazing season for women. also, the hottest season.
i think it says a lot about me that one of my favorites three seasons in a row was a zero vote finalist aksjdjd personally i think this means one of my faves this season is gonna be one too, i’m guessing venus or q
shan making dx hum her betrayal theme song on the challenge usa is so much funnier with context bc she LITERALLY hummed it out loud while thinking about how she’d have to betray one of her besties aksjsj the nerve of that woman is insane i love her
the way i got so excited for deshawn to make a comeback in that lil chicken & veggies alliance only for him to truth kamikaze his way through that tribal is just…..i actually had to walk away from my tv my secondhand embarrassment was so bad
i think it’s a lot different when you know who is going to win because i went in paying attention to erika and really vibing with her but i get the impression no one was expecting her to win the way that a lot of people thought maryanne would win over everyone else in f5.
that said, i think 41 was my favorite bc i love when people are smart but also canNot keep their mouths shut, these people were so gossipy and got soooo heated with each other, but i didn’t hate anyone, i was rooting for everyone, like i was riveted i had fun.
i literally keep replaying that “do i believe that? no i do not,” moment between naseer and heather on loop in my mind it was soooo funny aksjsjs
xander scruffy looking…….i would fold so fast i’m afraid 😔
that said, i had to walk away during some of his answers for the final tribal because he is just so sweet but he is SO unaware i was HURTING even with evvie and ricard clearing trying to lead him to an answer, it took like four false starts for him to name a good social read and everyone to nod and go “oh yeah that one makes sense”
drea’s comedic timing is unparalleled. i have never laughed that loud at a reality tv contestant, her voice is just so expressive. yes i’m talking about the potato line she is funnier than every comedian on netflix to me
that season had me screaming every episode it was really fun to watch and maryanne just like. sparkles. she’s enchanting.
i hope jonathan [redacted for legal reasons]
austin is so sexy to me because he really just laid down and died so his super hot girlfriend could win a million dollars, that’s the perfect man
actually i’d like to say it again. hottest cast. austin & dee was just pretty on pretty. jake is adorable. kellie. katurah. emily. kaleb. hottest cast by far.
i’ve been listening to know it alls & why blank lost just to get a feel for strategy and i’m excited to get through older seasons to see gameplay without so many twists because yeah there’s like a LOT of them esp in 41. it’s funny listening to them all bitch about this constantly tho. also interested in eventually watching a season without fire making - the next group i’m looking at are david v goliath, heroes v healers v hustlers, millennials v gen x, and gamechangers. might flip around a bit before i land on one tho.

can i have just hcs or a scenario or whatever and it’s just. hanging out with juza. chilling, hanging out, alone and just being together. sorry it’s not specific
Boy do I love some good slice-of-life writing, especially if it's with our favorite stiff and sweet-lover actor!. Do not worry because this was so much fun to write! 💕
This can absolutely be taken as platonic or romantic. Please enjoy! 💕
Reader hanging out with Juza
“Oh, come on! That’s going to get so soggy by the time she builds the structure!” you groan in frustration at the computer, not believing what you were seeing.
Juza frowns next to you, eyes fixed on what is happening. He hasn’t said anything, but you want to believe he agrees with you. Well, as much as a non-professional baker could agree with another non-professional baker on a baking show.
“Yikes- what did you expect Julia? For real, too much licour.” You can’t help but comment out loud again as you watch the contestant try to explain to the camera their confusion after they tasted the cake base.
“…Looks yummy to me.”
Your focus on the show slips when you hear him murmur with confusion, laughing at the sincere tone of his voice. “And that’s how we know you could never be a jury. How do you see that and think- Oh no!” you two watch in horror as another contestant takes out burnt decorations from the oven. “Oooh that is so gonna cost Alex his place.”
“He was ‘kay in the signature bake tho.”
You roll your eyes at Juza's comment while adjusting a blanket you had on around tighter. “Sure but like- he’s been on thin ice the last few episodes? and this is a technical challenge! Would be totally unfair to Julia if they decide to rule her and her alcoholic cake out.”
You both keep commenting on the episode here and there until the credits begin scrolling. You sigh and let yourself flop onto Juza's arm, tired. Maybe the others were right and you were getting a little too invested in the supposedly peaceful and untroubled series... just maybe.
You reach the mouse, trying to log out from the platform as you lazily pass by the announcements of future series and films in the making. “You know, I read somewhere they just get a cake stand and some flowers if they win first place,” you mention, suddenly remembering the fact. “Wild. It’s so different from the cooking shows, with offers, dishes and all that I mean.” You feel him shrug.
“Haven’t seen many winners from those other shows later on.”
“Mmm... true.” You agree after giving it some thought, mind still replaying all the mistakes and bits that had happened in the episode. “I bet Omi-san would annihilate everyone though.” You think smugly. Seconds later your tummy rambles, making you look around the room. “Hey, do you still have anything left from the sweets you bought yesterday? I got kinda hungry after watching so many pastries.”
Juza nods, and you move enough for him to get up from the small table placed in the middle of his shared room where you two had been watching the show for almost an hour. You watch him head to his desk and come back seconds late with a big bag that makes you squeal with joy, clapping as he sits again next to you.
Once he takes some of them out and hands them you can’t help but moan in delight after the first few bites. ”Ugh, this is so good. I should have taken some with me as well.”
“You can take half of these home if ya want.”
“Nooo don’t spoil me!” you groan. Because it’s not like it’s the first time Juza has offered or shared sweets with you, but it always feels surprising to you for someone to give away something they enjoy so much so easily. He pays no notice of your rejection and pushes some more sweets to your side. “Juza!” you whine again.
"'s fine. Ya can enjoy 'em later.”
You hum, not completely happy. "Then I’ll invite you to something next time we go somewhere, I won't accept a no.”
“Ya don’t need to-.”
You immediately raise one finger, stopping him from saying anything else. “What did I just say?” you raise an eyebrow. The purple-haired actor stares at your firm gaze and nods. You laugh and shake hands with him. "Pleasure to work with you."
You two continue eating in comfortable silence for a while as you manage to pick up the noise of people walking by the hall. You try to recognize the voices in the distance: Azami, Taichi, Hisoka, Sakuya… it’s the middle of the afternoon so you imagine most of them are on their way to do their homework and the adults are most likely arriving from their jobs. You take another bite of the sweets and let yourself lie on the floor. You look at the ceiling, blanket still on stronghold. “Have you and Omi-san gone anywhere with your bikes in the end?”
“Uh? Ah, yeah. He said he knew a few roads near the mountains... We drove there last weekend.”
“I wanna see!” you exclaim sitting back up. You knew how much he had been looking forward to the trip. “Did you take any pictures?”
Juza pulls out his phone, unlocking it as you made yourself comfortable next to him, chin on his shoulder while excitedly still munching the sweets. You watch the autumn member enter the private chat he had with Omi and scroll through messages that went from university stuff, to timetables, to talks about everyday cleaning tasks and foods. “…Here.” He finally stops as he gives you his phone. “He shared some once we came back.”
“Oh my god- this place so pretty! Look at the view. Did it take you two much to get there? It looks so far from the city, I cannot see any road!”
“Kinda. We did some drivin’ between old pavements.”
Happy, you take a few more looks at the pictures; a few of the scenery, of juza looking into the distance from different angles -most likely not being aware he was the object of Omi’s camera- and give the phone back to its owner.
“I wanna go. Think you remember the way?”
“I got the area somehow... ‘Could always ask him again I guess.”
“Cool! Because we definitely need to take something to eat and go there to spend the day.”
Juza seems to like the idea too, though you think it’s mainly because he has been enjoying riding his bike at any given opportunity since he got his license.
“Are you sure you don’t wanna somethin’ more to put on?”
You blink confused and notice he’s been looking at the blanket you have been hanging on all this time. He scratches the back of his head, frowning, maybe thinking about what would be best for you to wear. “...Sakyo-san says it’s still early to put on the heating but I can look for a hoddie or somethin’.”
“Nah, I’m fine. I like to feel like a burrito.” You smile reaching for one more sweet from the bag -which you are starting to believe will be empty by the time you leave if you keep eating. You turn towards him. “You know, it’s been a while since we had time to relax by ourselves. When I come we are always with the others, but I kinda enjoy it the most when it’s us two and our favourite baking show.”
Juza ponders your words, warmth rising in his chest. Hearing those things directed towards him wasn’t the usual until he met you -He has never really been a talker after all.
As you continue to munch distracted he closes his eyes, his lips turning into a small smile. Because maybe he's a little proud to be able to give someone a happy space to relax. "...yeah."
You know he did not mean to say it out loud but you catch it nonetheless. It makes your eyes soften and ruffle his hair affectionately, obtaining a flustered yelp and questioning look from the golden-eyed actor. You laugh before changing the topic to another thing, making some more conversation. After all, neither of you had anything planned for the rest of the afternoon.
And what better way to spend time than with your favorite person?

Wishing you all a wonderful day! 💕

You want more IEYTD headcanons?! No? Well too bad!PT2
In this episode a little more on family!
I had decided to give Phoenix one of those family’s with a large amount of kids, Phoenix is the 6th of 11 kids-
They are all named after some sort of bird as are his parents and I’ve got a list if you want me to post the list lemme know
Not many of the siblings have designs as of rn the only ones who do are the parents the eldest twins which both look like their mother as well as Phoenix twin sister Dove as they both look identical to their father.
Speaking of their dad the story for him is very complicating and the one raising Phoenix and his siblings wasn’t their real dad? I’ll get into all that another time but their not dad was a huge ass.
Phoenix used to get along very well with his twin sister when they were younger but since dove was their not fathers favorite and he wasn’t very fond of Phoenix they slowly drifted and things got more tense before Phoenix ended up running away around the age of 15 where he joined the EOD.
Since I have no clue what the timeline is I’m makin my own Phoenix first mission taking place in the first game of the series was shortly after he had ran away and joined the EOD at the age of 16 before his transition and the events of spy and the lier taking place post transition at the age of 21 and the events of cog in the machine as well as the at home mini game he was 22.
It took him a very long time to heal from falling from the Zoraxis tower, it didn’t help instead of letting the agency know he wasn’t dead and getting help from the medic he made the genius decision to just go home and take care of himself. Which is where Lawrence ended up finding him.
Back on the track of family so far we have not created anything for Lawrence tho we have a small bit for Juniper.
Originally my friend came up with this whole plot that he came from a wealthy family and that his parents were dead and stuff, then I decided to replay spy and the lier and listened to the radio for the first time.
Of course it tells me his parents are very much alive and he came from as he put it a “simple” family and he’s from Evansville Indiana-
So as a counter I have come up with the plot if he lied to Phoenix about his family because he cut them off due to them not liking how the game was making him act like a dink and he feels horrible about it now that he let the fame get to his head and it blew up in his face, he used the they’re dead thing so Phoenix wouldn’t try and find them.
For some side character family’s and fun facts Maple was originally planned to be Specs biological daughter that her partner gave up without her knowing. As cool as that plot would be i am autistic and it made me sad so we decided against it.
Maple also got her name from her adorable maple syrup brown eyes.
Z and Roxana were raised together by a single father not because their other parent had left, their father is a aro man who wanted kids but didn’t want a partner so they’re both test tube babies.
I’ll eventually make a post explaining the full backstory of my Zoraxis but you get one bit of info for now, they are in some way related to Phoenix. Only time will tell how :)
Part 3 will be just some random little fun facts about the characters and less lore based
