Ok, so. Simon says at the end of ep4 that he needs to become the Ice King again to save Fionna & Cake's world. He's likely gonna find a version of The Ice Crown in some universe. But him becoming the ice king again directly goes against Betty's wish to keep Simon safe.

That was a pretty important thing, being able to fuse her with the chaos god Golb and all. Crown wishes are very powerful, it seems. And considering said chaos-god-fusion, i would say that this specific wish might be multi-dimensionally powerful.

So what if, no matter what crown he puts on or how long he has it on for, it can't cause the mental deterioration it did the first time. It won't turn him back into the Ice King again because Betty's wish won't allow it to.

This leads to needing another, less self-destructive solution to the problem. One that doesn't go against Betty's wish.

But that's just my thoughts (and hopes), what do you think, Petriblr?

Yeah are you sure about that? ARE YOU TOTALLY SURE ABOUT THAT? Have you considered that no matter what the crown will revert you to normal crazy ice king because that’s just how it affects you? What crown you get doesn’t matter but the wearer is the determinant of the effects.

I’ve been thinking about this.

The first clip is from I Remember You and the second is from Simon and Marcy. Those are the episodes where we learn their history together.

I think it’s no coincidence that they basically say the same thing in reference to the other’s music.

I wonder if Marceline started making music because of Simon. He’s just scatting in the clip but we know he wrote lyrical songs too.

Okay there’s been a lot of talk about Simon and Betty from episode 8. And like everything else aside I think it’s stupid to claim that them not kissing is an issue. I’ve only seen a handful of people claim this but c’mon…

I feel like their confessions were pretty realistic. Romance in media set the standard that climatic romance scenes or confessions have to include a kiss and that’s just honestly not that realistic all the time.

Simon and Betty are close by that point but they literally just told each other how they felt. Sometimes people want to take it slow and that’s okay!! You don’t have to kiss someone to indicate your feelings for them.

Don’t feel bad for not wanting to kiss someone right away. There’s nothing wrong with starting out with hand holding and hugs and then progressing to more.
