Piaget Celebrates Its 150th Anniversary By Offering The Polo 79
The Piaget Polo 79 gets a 38 mm solid gold case in 7.45 mm thickness paired with a dazzling yellow gold bracelet. The watch celebrates Piaget’s foray into the hyped frontiers of integrated design timepieces and with the latest release, marks a rebirth of the brand’s true soul.
The heritage inspired piece is crafted entirely from 18-carat yellow gold featuring Piaget’s hallmark finishing standards. The dial, case as well as the bracelet get the signature horizontal parallel hardoons of the original Polo. This ribbed pattern features alternations of brushed and mirror polished surfaces to give the overall piece an impressive dynamic flair and soul.
Mileapo are having another nice touristic day around Paris, and their IG stories contain hints of each other...
Mile posted this Piaget watch, when Apo is affiliated with this brand:
It's green, Mile's fave color, and matches all the green Piaget watches that Apo posted on Sep 13 and 16, kind of subtly confirming who all those pics were for...
Meanwhile, Apo posted this pic of Mile with Jared Leto at the BOF 500 gala on Sep 30, and he added music from Jared's band, Thirsty Seconds to Mars. There are plenty of pics taken at the event of Jared with Mileapo, but nah. Since Mile was probably excited as a musician even more than as an actor to meet Jared, this update is all about Mile, celebrating him on Apo's IG.
And then Mile posted this pic of a green toy car:
A second later he added a pic of it with clear-rimmed glasses placed on top of it:
Who wears glasses like that?
OH! An Indonesian gay blogger seems to have spotted Mile at a Paris cafe... Gift is there as well, but based on everything they've all posted, Apo is likely there, even if he happens to be in the bathroom or ordering another cup of coffee (or three) when the blogger who was waiting to get into a restaurant happened to spot Mile.
And just as a bonus, here's another moment from the live they did yesterday, during their romantic night stroll to the Louvre museum. This is Mileapo watching the moon together:

Apo Nattawin's first studio visit as Friend of the Maison at Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland. Apo got to see and discuss the various production processes up close from the brand's craftsmen who have inherited their creativity, techniques, and vision in combining art and technology that are constantly evolving in every production. Work under the Piaget brand for more than 150 years. “Coming here makes Po feel fulfilled with a certain passion. Po likes Craft very much because it is charming and conveys every intention. Until each work can be produced, what Piaget is making is not just watches or accessories, it is art. I am very happy to be a part of the brand. This year, let's celebrate Piaget's 150th anniversary together,” said Apo.
In the entertainment industry, it’s about Acting-Business and I don’t pay that much attention to the business side of it (brand deals, ads, etc.) even if I find it interesting. But this is a huge accomplishment. It was clearly coming when they flew him for Piaget 150th anniversary and all the posts they made about him.
European brands are usually more cautious than their American counterparts for instance when choosing global ambassadors so this is a bold choice, in my opinion. Bold because Apo has fans globally but isn’t globally known yet, do you get my meaning? And it also shows their trust in Apo. Ella Richards, Lee Junho are safe choices.
Apo is the choice coming from the heart, they saw his personality, his uniqueness, he looks like himself and nobody else, he follows the trends that suits him and this is basically what Piaget represents as well.
This kind of deal doesn’t happen without the brand studying and following closely the celebrity. They noticed how he conducted himself, the fact that he was scandals free, etc. And of course, because it’s about business, they paid attention to his fanbase and their support.
That’s why you shouldn’t pay attention to haters, they don’t matter, brands don’t care about them. They can say whatever they want, brands look at the reputation, the love, unconditional support a celebrity has. They know Apo’s fans would show up for him, will hype and trend everything he does. They also trust the fact that their association with him will make him bigger than he already is. The news will be in entertainment, and business platforms and people would wonder who the heck is this talented, charming, beautiful man from Thailand.
You bet I’m proud. Also. I don’t forget that this man with a darker skin from Thailand has just been named the global ambassador for one of the most luxurious and famous brands in the world. And I hope he is an inspiration for every single dark-skinned young girl and boy in Thailand not to change themselves to fit in the industry but to know they can thrive as well because they’re damn beautiful.
"“Its an honour to have Apo be a part of this new creative dynamism…,he has this trailblazing attitude that inspires everyone around him & creates new light. One that never fades” Piaget Global director of communications and image.
I know we are still celebrating Piaget but with the confidence of someone who can't even afford to look at their pieces much less think about buying one it's either really basic or just straight up ugly 😭. I think this will develop into the same love hate relationship so have with Dior.
listen... I am too poor too to enjoy Fine Jewelry ™️ but I at least get it. even aside from the design itself, two additional elements are reflected in the cost of the jewelry: the level of detail (how fine) the item is and the cost of the materials, which is usually precious stones and metals.
in terms of it looks good or not 😑 sigh. sometimes the value is not in the appearance itself but also how difficult and laborious it was for the artisan to inset the stones and add in the details.
like what for example might make the ring double the cost of the bracelet? it's most likely the fact that alongside the pearl, the ring is inset by by fine diamonds, which is both laborious to do and also the diamonds are cut finely.
I'll be honest, I think it looks tacky as hell but if the main thought is well, it looks tacky as hell so why would anyone care why care what effort goes into it: that's a very capitalist mindset that we've all been poisoned with. the fact of the matter, there's a reason jewelers are considered ateliers and the people practicing the trade are artisans. just because we don't appreciate the art is sort of. OK. not all art has to be for everyone, if we respect the artisans themselves. whether or not brands still align themselves with this view (vs. capitalism profitiability) is a different thing, but there are real artistsans behind these pieces. 🤷🏻♀️
I think one of the main things that sets jewelers apart from high fashion design houses as primarily artisanal (read, in a category where art pieces don't have to be for everyone), is that everyone has to wear clothing, whereas accoutrements like jewelry (and watches, at this price level) are opt-in. like you're not gonna freeze to death if you don't wear a bracelet. if someone wears a necklace I think is tacky I'm like good for you not for me, but you do you! whereas with the Dior clothes I'm straight up like where and why would you wear that piece of clothing
none of which undermines your original comment. yeah it's... uh. it's. definitely someone's taste and not mine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
in conclusion:
I am very small and I don't have that kind of money so you can only imagine how stressed I am looking at Apo wearing $48,000 of jewelry I think is tacky
Happy Birthday for the..millionth time today, baby~ I'm not gonna ramble too much since I've rambled plenty in your body and today as we celebrated. True to the signatures of the Maison, this ring is adorned with a Possession-set diamond and diamonds. The central band is turning and triggers this addictive and playful gesture. A band of diamonds magnifies of the ring with this shining effect. Turn your ring and ignite laughter, energy and joy. It’s an invitation to experience the remarkable.
Watches| Piaget Showcases Their Revived Polo 79 in Yellow Gold
Celebrating 150 years of luxury Masonry work, Piaget unveils the revitalized reiteration of their renowned golden Polo 79, which embodies glamour and technicality.
This almost identical recreation of the 1979 Polo watch, the new iteration shares the body model as well as the design notes almost to completion with small changes. Maintaining the familiar and nostalgic touches help lend to the name…
Never forget the deflated Valentine’s Day balloons she left up for weeks while filming NWH. And the Piaget set being v-day gifts. Safe to say they celebrate!
Fabio having diner last night with Iris Mittenaere -Miss France 2016, Miss Universe 2016, Squeezie -one of the biggest French youtuber (and huge motorsports fan), Lena Mahfouf -maybe the biggest French influencer at the moment, Paola Lct -a really famous French fashion/lifestyle influencer- wasn't on my bingo list 😂
they're all under we.are.influence (ngl their website is really cool) they have some of the most known influencers, I know he has some deals going on, Dolce&Gabbana or IKKS for example, is he going to work more on this if he signs with them? the brands they work with who could fit Fabio: Hublot, Piaget, Cartier, Burberry, Levi's, Tag Heuer, Givenchy etc
& Clarisse Castan, Ginger and Limón founder was there as well, they do 'celebrity management' and work with their clients (people and brand) for their image and create events and all, I think Fabio works with them, Clarisse was at the French Grand Prix and they're at least friends. Ilies Nadri (Pierre's best friend - I'm not really sure of what he does for a living 😅) is also following them and was around Fabio on race day, he is maybe working with them as well.
so to sum up, I'm very curious to see what Fabio will do with these agencies and I love that Tom and Mathilde are always with him, they're really family
no tom needs to run the hell away from watch ambassadorships, they are serious you are restricted to what you can wear. If tom gets omega ambassadorship he is not allowed to wear rolex nor patek philip, he only can be seen with omega. Watch ambamassaors are serious. Patek has never done brand ambasaadors ( because they dont need one) and rolex only does ones with a select few athletes (federer and tiger woods)
For a watch collector like tom, you should avoid those contracts like the plague.
Jacob elordi signed on with tag heur has only been seen with that brand, similarly timmy who recently joined up with cartier the only watch hes worn since is cartier. George clooney only wears omega. Serena williams only wears (epecially in all of her matches) audemars piguet because of her brand deal and the list goes on.
Tag heur, omega, piaget they need brand ambassadors because there brands dont have the same cachet as rolex, patek,
LOL But who cares as long as the watch is nice and I'm getting paid for wearing their brand?
Am I missing a problem here lol? 😅🤣
Look, I don't mind wearing a paper bag SACK if it means I'm getting paid to only wear THEIR brand of paper bag sack lol. 😅
Ambassadorships aren't forever either. I mean, if they only want to do a contract for a few years, then that's what the celebrity will do. 🤷🏾♀️ I don't see a problem with that.
