I want to get back into knitting and tackle a more complicated project but for me I think it's too intimidating not just because of the new terminology and things you have to do, but because it includes counting. You're asking the guy who if they count and take three seconds of their attention off the counting, they will be completely lost when they look back at it.

Shawl 13 | Pattern Doily 10 | Pattern | Yarn

It's Wednesday my dudes. Just finished row 98 out of 123 on doily 10 and I'm ALMOST done with the hell that is 450 stitches of twisted ribbing for shawl 13. Just one more easy (p1, k1tbl) row and one more Evil (k1, p1tbl) row.

#i messed up the pattern really obviously and decided hell i may as well learn how to do it #super annoying. 0/10. kept using the wrong rung #eventually had to mark which loose strand was the bottom most strand with a stitch marker #because otherwise i'd grab the wrong one #there's actually a second mistake but that one just twists the wrong way instead of being straight up the wrong type of cable so fuck it lo #hashtag just fiber artist things i guess #also i say this like i didn't nearly completely reknit what i had because i realized the tables would look nicer on a purl background #but at least that was stockinette #and i was going column by column and not row by row across 8 stitches

please tell me how to do the shoulder seams of the shirt im knitting

additional context:

this will be the seam at the top of the shoulder, not the seam onto the sleeves (bc there are currently no sleeves)

that is the full width of the straps (~2in wide)

they are worked exactly the same way, so they are equally easy to knit and have the same effect on the fabric
