Roberto and Ted have two options now. They can fix all the mess and get back to the original ships and the original Riverdale format. Or, they may be completely offended by an unfair world and just out of spite, continue to try to make the characters and the plot serve the wet fantasies of adult man-child. I mean leave the joyless ships that can't sell their interactions and the stupid supernatural plot that no one asked for.

What saddens me the most is that OG bughead will never come back because the show quite literally left that timeline behind and god knows what happened to it. At the same time, makes it easier for me to pretend this train wreck ended mid season 4 because it actually kind of did.

look if your reaction to geriatric finale betty is "ugh of course she's the main character the writers are obsessed with her" i do get it but please keep in mind that

- they have kept her trapped in a cycle of emotional abuse with her mother for SEVEN seasons and all indicators are that it will last to the bitter end

- they tore her out of the one relationship in her whole life that made her feel seen and secure and loved for what will likely remain the most blatantly out-of-character plot machination I've ever seen in my life

- the seven years that followed are mainly notable for the fact that she a) was kept in a dirt pit by a serial killer for several weeks and b) became a cop

- they put her in a fuck buddy relationship that she proactively ended only to later accept being his second choice for [reasons not found], relationship then proceeds as a series of red flags clearly suggesting that not only are they fundamentally incompatible (which she already said, out loud, on screen) but that the relationship also consistently makes her feel inadequate and bad for being herself

- they made her the actual biblical whore of babylon (??? still don't understand this one)

- and finally when there's a full-on reboot her sole character traits are "horny for literally anyone at any time" and "constantly angry at mom" who, again, is still abusing her

so like, you're correct, the writers are obsessed with her. they're obsessed with TORTURING HER

When I think of riverdale, I think of this series which was in a blue vibe, where all our ships were Juliette and Romeo, where each episode put us in a mood of comfort. I remember that Thursday was my favorite day. I was coming home from school and watching the riverdale next episode. Where I cried, was angry, laughed. That I wanted to see more. Wanted to watch more of the basic couples. I was eagerly awaiting the final episodes.

But I feel like I was spit in the face by the writers. We have brought our support, show our love for this show and to thank us you offer us a stupid season 7. You are just trying to fix the errors.

But riverdale is already lost. I will miss it. You don't know how sad this makes me. See it's all a waste of time.
