In February 2022, Salman Khan shot for his extended cameo in the Siddharth Anand-directed Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead. The actor will be seen playing the role of Tiger from the Tiger franchise, as Pathaan carries forward the story that started with Ek Tha Tiger. Salman had allotted 15 days for his cameo and refused to charge a single penny for the shoot.
Ever since then, there have been ample speculation on SRK's involvement in Tiger 3. "Shah Rukh Khan is very much a part of Tiger 3, but he will be shooting for merely a week. Much like Salman, even SRK has an action-packed role in Tiger 3, but shoot of action scenes are yet to take place. The team of Tiger 3 is figuring on combination dates of SRK and Salman before shooting this part which marks a reunion of two of Indian Cinema's biggest superstars," revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.
Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported that Salman will be a part of a prolonged action sequence in Pathaan wherein he rescues SRK by making an entry off a chopper and that leads to a chase sequence in Russia featuring the two.
Details of SRK's cameo have been kept under wraps, but the source informs that the dynamics of SRK's cameo will be very different from that of Salman's. "The makers can't show Pathaan rescuing Tiger and hence they have come up with a special scene featuring Pathaan and Tiger. It's a mission that leads to them teaming up for something special in Tiger 3, leading to a crossover of the two characters in a future film."
While Pathaan is set to release on January 25, Tiger 3 is set for a Diwali 2023 release

Salman Khan Upcoming Movies 2021: Release Date, Cast, Trailer
Salman Khan fans who have missed seeing their ‘Bhaijaan’ on screen for over a year have reason to rejoice in 2021. The actor is expected to return to the screen with Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which is currently scheduled to hit theatres across India on May 13. Besides Radhe, Salman also has Antim: The Final Truth, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Kick 2 and Tiger 3 in his kitty. He will also be seen in cameos in Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and YRF’s Pathan.
Besides starring in big budget Bollywood films, Salman will also be seen hosting the fifteenth season of popular Colors reality show Bigg Boss. Even though Bigg Boss 15 will only begin by September or October this year, makers have already kickstarted the audition process to get some ‘entertaining yet controversial’ commoners for the show. Talking about hosting Bigg Boss, Salman had earlier said, “Frankly, every year I feel like dipping out. Each year, I feel this is enough now but it has been a damn good journey, except for one or two contestants, who spoil everything. It is like you prepare kheer and someone sprinkles salt into it. They just mess things up, and more than that, they mess up their life which is the sad part of it. But it amazes me that I complete a decade on the show. So far, every time I think it is pushing too much and again, the next year happens.”

Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported that Aditya Chopra would be paying Salman Khan a mammoth figure for his 10 day cameo in Pathan. The filmmaker was of the opinion that Salman as Tiger would add value to the collections of Pathan, and therefore deserves to be paid for the same. In February, Salman Khan shot for his portions with Shah Rukh Khan at YRF studios in Mumbai.
After the shoot wrap, a source from the set informs us that Adi went to Salman to discuss the remuneration and payment structure. But Salman being Salman, straight away refused to take any money from the producer. A bystander on the set informed Bollywood Hungama about the overview of conversation between Salman and Adi. "Shah Rukh is like a brother. I would do anything for him," is what Salman told Adi, when they discussed the financials.
Being a thorough professional, Adi kept insisting on him (Salman Khan) being paid. "Split my fees by adding it to the budget of Pathan and Tiger," Salman said, and took off from the sets of Pathan. The close source now tells us that Adi is planning to give a costly gift to Salman for his goodwill gesture of extended cameo. When Adi spoke about this instance to Shah Rukh, the actor was not surprised and had just four words to say, "Bhai Toh Bhai Hai".
Meanwhile, the shoots of both Pathan and Tiger have been put on hold for the time being due to the order issued by the Maharashtra government due to pandemic.
