i want to boy cut grub hub badly for what they did to me but it so hard because i went into the city to try pick it up myself and i accidentilly glided infront of a car and it hit me and all my rings flew out of me and disappreaed so i wouldnt be able to pay for my dinner meal no more so i just had to go back and when i went back tails got loads of hair and fluff on my emerald so i had to wipe that all off (i forgive him though) its honestly getting hopeless for a guy like me especially because women never look my way but guys do look my way sometimes but im not about that. i think mkaybe the women dont like me on account of my spike hands and perfect teeth, what do you guys think?

Small correction to your ACOTAR critique: SJM did the same thing with her first series, TOG, where she became so obsessed with her one male character that four books in, the first three (and novellas) suddenly didn’t matter, plots were dropped and characters had major changes because now she had to center everything around how to get the endgame couple together. There’s a stark difference between book four (which if I remember right, came out the same year ACOTAR did) through seven than those first three, so it’s only natural that she did the same with ACOTAR. And I personally wouldn’t be surprised if she did the same with CC. She gets away with, so she keeps doing it.

Interesting! I actually read ACOTAR waaaaay before I touched TOG (which I did mainly on the desperate hope that TOG would be better and more complex) but tbqh that makes sense. Something I notice in SJM's writing is that her narratives are very strong - which is to say that she doesn't allow characters to make certain logical leaps or preform certain actions that will damage a Favorite/Main character's plot or reputation - but I honestly didn't get the sense that she was QUITE as into some of the TOG love interests as she clearly is with Rhysand.

I mean Rhysand is also IN the last TOG book - whereas Feyre, the main heroine and POV character of the series, is just "a pregnant fae female" in Aelin's brain. (Because it's not Aelin's brain choosing what to focus on in this scene - it's SJM making sure that her audience focuses on her Very Special Favorite Boy.)

Basically yeah I agree with this and it makes perfect sense.
