Okay random WWE story time that I was just thinking about
I feel like Mark Henry isn’t talked about enough. He’s such an awesome guy! So the Arnold classic happens in my home town every year. It’s a huge thing, all of the body builders, judges etc stayed at the hotel I worked at. Well in the hotel is a restaurant where they all eat at including Arnold Schwarzenegger which I was hosting at. Arnold is a cool guy too but his manager or whoever he was can lick an armpit…. ANYWAY! Mark is one of the judges (at least he was this was pre-pandemic) the servers were overworked and I ended up taking on his table. Now obviously I’m STOKED cause like it’s Mark Henry dude why wouldn’t I be? I’ve grown up watching this man. He was literally the kindest person I’ve ever met. He made it a point to ask me about school, plans, and encouraged the hell out of me. I wish I could have gotten a picture but staff wasn’t allowed to 😭. We talked about how I used to compete in the Arnold Classic when I was younger and a bunch of other stuff. But literally he could have been cold or just looked at me as someone serving his table but he didn’t he actually gave a shit to ask me questions about myself. Plus he tipped WELL and I got hug 🥹. Normally people say not to meet people you watched or looked up to growing up but Mark Henry 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 fucking MINT
