It must be very very very hot for metal girl's back to be melting like that. D: Hopefully the heat doesn't melt the glue apparently holding Wonder Woman from Wish's metal pasties on her body.

Climate change is already here, and its impacts are visible across the globe. In some areas, severe droughts are causing widespread crop failures. Sustained high-temperature events – such as heat waves – are leading to higher rates of mortality, particularly among vulnerable populations. Meanwhile, extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and intense in many regions, with floods and storms destroying homes and infrastructure, affecting healthcare systems, and threatening lives.
The global average temperature in 2022 was about 1.15 °C above the 1850-1900 average. The level of warming expected by the end of this century will continue to rise if we don’t stop global warming from getting out of hand. The goal set by the UN IPCC and agreed and ratified by nearly 200 countries is to reduce carbon pollution so that the temperature increase stabilises to a 1.5 °C increase by 2100.
Everyone has a part to play in the climate solution. Nothing happens in isolation, everything is connected. The actions — even the small ones — that we take have a big impact on our environment and climate. Climate change is happening right now, and it’s our job as individuals to do what we can to prevent its effects from getting worse.
According to a report released by the Worldwatch Institute, a non-profit organization based in Washington, most electricity is still produced through the burning of fossil fuels and is responsible for 49 percent of the carbon emitted into the atmosphere.
Sustainable energy
Energy consumption is an important aspect of software and the software industry. On one hand, in-order to build sustainable and green software, we need to reduce energy consumption while maintaining the same functionalities; on the other hand, software has a direct impact on energy consumption by requiring hardware operations that are physically responsible for it.

It's a new month so it's time for an update and to thank all our March Patreon subscribers!
As an important update, if anybody follows EG on Twitter on top of Tumblr, you've probably noticed that the Twitter account has stopped cross-posting from Tumblr. That is due to the owner of Twitter turning off API access and Tumblr therefore no longer having Twitter integration. So the EG Twitter account is effectively dead. If you follow primarily on Tumblr, this obviously doesn't affect you, but I still wanted to let everybody know what happened. Aside from Tumblr, EG also has an RSS feed and we're still in the process of making a Mastodon bot that will autopost for those who also use ActivityPub.
As usual, I've been working on restoring posts and streamlining tags. Among the posts I've restored this month are this Worldwatch post with the glue-on armor and this old post featuring the DC heroine Katana in a boobs and butt pose.
If anybody runs into any other old posts that have missing images or formatting errors, please let me know. I tend to fix things as I run into them because the archives are so extensive, but I don't notice everything, so I'm thankful when people point stuff out for me.
And now a huge thank you to our March 2023 Patreon subscribers. Your support helps us keep this site up and running and allows us to keep working on it, upgrading it, and keep the archive independently hosted.
So, I want to say thank you so much to:

Once upon a time there were angelshovering patiently, over the worldwatching carefully all that matteredknowing things that went unsaid, and all the things we thought unseen, and when life turned sour, as it does, somehow they lifted away the painand we thought it just evaporatedas if it never was, and it wasn’t,but they bore the burden alone, gladly and casually but they shedtears we will never…
Quase tudo é desânimo, é falta de amor, é platônico, é invisível e essencial.
Quase tudo é exagero, é demais, é a gota que transborda, é a semente que desperta.
Quase tudo é fantasia, é fantasma, é aparência, é miragem no deserto do olhar.
Quase me vendi a mediocridade, poderosa mediocridade, sedutora mediocridade.
Quase desejei a invisibilidade.
Quase me despi de minhas ganâncias, ambições inúteis, quase me desnudei de mim.
