Zydra and her team are basically what I learned from the Arc 3 cowboys and did right this time - she actually has narrative relevance, her story reflecting Team RAIN’s in arc 1. Just as Irving was tricked, so was she - and that empathy is what teaches Irving to let go of his black-and-white morality and forgive her because she was manipulated.

Also, Irving and Nyssa make out, so that’s a plus!

We end Arc 3 with a look forward to what’s to come in Arc 4! The town of Avon, Irving’s family, and a threat to worry about in the form of Ms Zydra Sky.

Keeping in with the other arcs, it’s customary to write a big thank you to those who have supported me over the past two years… RAIN has been going for nearly three and a half years now. I probably could have got Arc 3 finished sooner, but I think lockdown threw me for a loop and I lost motivation more often that usual in 2020. BUT I pulled it back, and now we’re here, and Arc 4 is looming over me like a big looming thing.

Without further adieu;

@sustraiii and @question-anon - my two fucking rocks on this project. Bouncing ideas off you guys and feeling like I’m not screaming into the void is probably what’s kept me going most, and it’s inspirational to see you guys keep blistering ahead with your own stories now. It’s been an honour to help with those and provide some art for them, as well as shoot the shit about stuff non-RWBY related. You two are the best.

Naturally, @ahotcuppajo for his amazing weapon concept commissions, without which the likes of Siadiathan, Fuste Fractio and Vindicatress/Harsh Reality would still look like my utterly shite designs, as well as @quasahi for giving me second opinions on outfits and general character design - which I don’t give him enough credit for. I need someone to hold me to standard, as well as discuss the art side of stuff with and it’s rad. I also want to thank @ins-ou for helping with arc 3′s poster and keeping me sane by providing great art along the way.

There are so many people I also want to shout out for sticking around on the discord, in my messages and in the post notifs too, like @winged-arbiter, @bustin-a-hazelnut, @yingfortheking, @revengehunter01, @stutteringtony, @typical-novice, @silly-fly, @furubatsu, and all the mad lads on the RAIN discord (for some of whom I cannot attribute a tumblr URL but know you are valued) as well as those who I haven’t spoken to much in more recent times but still appreciate them - @ask-beacons-finest, @official-lumine, @brrntsoda and more. You’re all great :)

I know I didn’t win an oscar, but it feels good to sometimes just tell people you appreciate them and it feels good for them to feel appreciated, so thank you all.
