Ongoing Series - Thai

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 6 of 10 - It’s so damn cute. Seme is still sus... but cute. I didn’t even mind the pratfall since they clearly both wanted to take advantage of it. These two are great kissers - like MaxTul level. I am PLEASED. Meanwhile, sides have a drunken MOMENT. 

Be My Favorite (Fri YouTube) ep 2 of 10? - I’m enjoying it which is fucking with my head, trash watch here! 

Luminous Solution (Sat Gaga) ep 2 of 6 - Dome has aged so pretty! Do we think the café owner doesn’t want him because he is happy in love? I’m enjoying the high school story arc a lot, and I wish we were just watching that and none of the others (Dome or no Dome). I finally figured it out the actor playing Mai is from Manner of Death.

The Promise (Weds YT & WeTV) ep 10fin - Soap opera brother relationship suddenly? Also more not communicating and more separation? Just bullshit. The best part of the ep was the interstitial cat. It feels like this show dragged on forever I am so glad it’s over and I intend never to think about it again. Full review below (although I pretty much just said it all.) 

Step By Step (Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - no ep this week, no idea why. It better not be because of the ZeeNew freakszoids or I am banhammering with a will. Our Skyy 2 (Bad Buddy & 1k*) eps 13-14 - skipped it this week as it concludes next week so I’ll binge all 4 at once.

Our Dining Table AKA Bokura no Shokutaku (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 9 of 10 - It’s just so good. I say it every week but it IS. Oh the running of the gays trope! Japan1 For us? How thoughtful. Awe, Yutaka’s confession in tiny was the best. SMILEY KISS! It took 3 BLs but Inukai Atsuhiro has finally actually kissed a boy. 

Star Struck (Korea iQIYI & Gaga) ep 5-6 of 8 - Oof this is such a hard show. Too much angst. It is a complicated story worth further analysis, but it’s too much for me and I don’t wanna dwell in it. Also, sweetie, you don’t get to cockblock the boy you rejected then invite him to sleep over, I don’t care how confused you are. Good for Hanjoon for standing up for himself, but holy shizz is this hard to watch. 

Vian the series (Vietnam YouTube ) - Cats are not caretakers. The neighbor is a cutie. Fun convo for a VBL - top/bottom & everything. Faen fatale showed up + a pratfall kiss and frankly I’m finding this show a bit dull now that the charm of the initial premise has worn off.

Naked Dinner AKA Zenra Meshi (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 8 of 12 - I never know what to say about this one. This was the dark separation doom episode. I was pretty blah over it. I’m just not engaged with this show. 

It’s Airing But ...

House of Stars (Thai Mon iQIYI) 12 eps - I bounced at ep 3. Will binge if told it is worth it at end.

Stay (Pinoy ????) 7 eps - It’s mostly in English and set in LA so I’m not bothering to hunt.

Let’s Eat Together AKA Aki wa Haru to Gohan wo Tabetai (Japan movie) cinema release means no inter distribution. Looks cozy: daily lives of college students and roommates who enjoy meals together, and a v codependent, adaptation of yaoi Let’s Eat Together Aki and Haru. I’ll keep an eye open for it but assume we can’t get it for now.

Takumi-kun Series 6: Nagai Nagai Monogatari no Hajimari no Asa (Japan Sun ????) ep 1 of 10 - NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS and no, I have no idea where to get it, why would I? (Say it with me everyone: Oh Japan, must you?*)

The Day I Loved You (Pinoy YouTube) ended. I have been reliably informed it’s better left a DNF.

My Story (Pinoy YouTube) ended. I bounced at ep 4. Someone tell me if I should bother with the rest?

Pure Vanilla (Singapore) - 10 min short on Gaga featuring a cafe, boss/employee, friends to lovers. It’s very sweet. Bit awkward acting. I love seeing real tats on my screen. I wish Singapore would give us a full proper BL. 7/10 RECOMMENDED WITH RESERVATIONS 

The Promise (Thai YouTube) - Although well acted this show dragged a too simple premise out into the ultimate manipulative miscommunication repeats of idiotic "why don’t you just TALK!?” Phu & Nan are childhood bffs through college (almost lovers) until Phu disappears. After looking/waiting for him, Nan gives up and self isolates, and the actual story takes place 10 years later. Phu’s “reason” and inability to say it out loud makes the whole show just frustrating, squandering good chemistry, and a stellar cast of multiple faen fatals (whose personalities would’ve made them better boyfriends). Seriously do not bother. What a damn waste of talent, time, and electronic bandwidth. Fatally flawed. 4/10 NOT RECOMMENDED 

Okay it ended a while ago but I finished it:

Make A Wish (Thai grey) - 6 part PNR (from Sammon - Manner of Death & Triage) about a doctor who can see the dead and strikes a bargain with a wish-granting irreverent tree angel - naturally they fall in love. Stars Fluke Natouch opposite not Ohm, but who cares bc Fluke has chemistry with everybody. Once again the Thai afterlife is incredibly bureaucratic but I enjoyed the premise and the unfolding of the story (it’s not predictable but still satisfying and with nice little twist). I like that the doctor is just gay af and has a fag hag bestie and everything. The cast is excellent but the comedic stylings are too overblown and tonally off. It had sad parts and did make me cry but is ultimately happy with a great sex scene, good smiley kisses, and all the agency. 8/10 RECOMMENDED

6/7 Love Tractor (Korea iQIYI) 8 eps - announced in 2022 from WATCHA (Semantic Error) I've been WAITING for this one. About a stressed-out law student who family obligations force into the countryside where a series of strange encounters and misunderstandings with his hunky young farmer neighbour. Will this be an extended version of Strongberry’s Some More? Or Korea’s take on Restart After Come Back Home? I'm chuffed. Country boy meets city boy is a very underused romance trope in BL.

6/9 Boys Love Omegaverse AKA The Boys Love sequel no one asked for (Japan movie) - everyone jockeyed to release the first ABO but it looks like Japan will take it. They do like to do all things BL FIRST. This seems to just be borrowing the branding of Boys Love, showing little resemblance to either original, since it's about 4 men in an idol group. (But could go very dark with that title. Boys Love is technically the first and one of the darkest BLs ever made.) Movie+Japan = no inter distribution.

6/15 Tokyo in April AKA Shigatsu no Tokyo wa (Japan Gaga) 8 eps - Based on a yaoi, this is a reunion romance that takes place in an office. Japan does Our Dating Sim? Yes please.

6/22 About Us but Not About Us (Pinoy movie from 2022 on Prime) - A professor grieving the loss of his partner meets an ambitious literature student.

6/24 Why You (Khmer BL ????) - Billed as a horror romance, not sure if this is a movie or a series where it will air... nothing except that it exists.

6/24 Tie The Knot AKA Under the Same Sky (Pinoy movie on Prime) Trailer - I guess Prime is coming for our Pinoy BL? From OXIN Films (Rainbow Prince), announced for 2022 based on a true story, Briggs's family runs a bridal business but he has never had a chance to fall in love until he meets Shao, a groom to be.

6/25 Dinosaur Love (Thai iQIYI) Trailer 5 eps - from Ultimate Troop about a uni student, Rak, whose partner cheats on him with Rak's best friend. This gives bad boy hazer Dino an opportunity to hit on Rak at last. From The Yearbook people so I will not watch this as it airs. After Remember Me? Never again with them.

A second look

Rambling time, kiddies.

Anyway, I was watching people discuss about Chainsaw Man anime and how “wow that is creepy/problematic that Denji is a kid and adult women are hitting on him” and I had to bite my tongue from going YES YES that is the actual point!!

So much of the early series is viewed completely different, through the knowledge of later revelations. Understanding how so much of it is based on Denji’s UTTER LACK of awareness of what is and is not normal, as well as Makima’s very intentional manipulation of the social cycle around him.

Makima is a sexual predator, using her feminine wiles and her POWERS to manipulate not just Denji but pretty much every other person around her. Aki’s crush is hinted this early on to be strange, in that he can’t explain it and his long-time partner seems put-off by it. We ignore it because Himeno is ALSO kind of sus, sexually pursuing younger men (and women!) as a coping mechanism for her intense psychological problems.

Himeno talking Denji home and offering him sex, even after learning he’s 16, is SUPPOSED to be shady. It’s supposed to be a red flag, both of the things being set up around him and the toxic behavior of the people around him. 

It makes us ignore how Himeno knows something is up with Makima, how she’s aware that Aki’s sudden feelings are out of place. (Because they are, because he’s one of MANY people that have been re-programmed to adore Makima so she can use them.)

During the final arc, we explicitly see that Makima does the same thing with the other “Human Weapons” she has been collecting. She’s altered their memories, making them feel indebted to her AND added romantic feelings in several of them. 

Ironically, the one person that seems genuine in terms of Denji ends up being Reze. You know.....the girl that was raised as an assassin, that was sent to seduce and kill him. Like Denji, she’s a Human Weapon that has never known a normal life and longs for that experience. She finds a kindred spirit in Denji, and ultimately tries to ACTUALLY run away with him. (I wonder how long before we see her again, since like Denji she is basically immortal?)

But basically.....YES. Yes, things are sus with the grown women and their behavior towards Clueless Horny Teen Denji. That’s the entire point. 

Denji is an abused kid, that grew up in absolute poverty, being taken advantage of and used by literal criminals.

why i dislike audrey hope

i saw a person saying that it was weird/hypocritical to dislike audrey while liking other characters with questionable morals and ethics, so in this post i'll explain why i disagree.

first we need to aknoledge what (imo) audrey did that was wrong

1. homophobic behavior. in her scene with julien audrey says that it was "not normal" for aki to kiss max. although julien said that what she said was homophobic audrey did not seem very concerned about her bias. she also has a very weird approach to talking to aki about his sexuality.

2. how she talks to her mom. audrey's mom is very clearly depressed, and as someone who's (at least) sixteen, goes to an elite school and is part of a very conscious generation, she HAS to know that. but even then, audrey treats her mom as absolute garbage, talking back, not caring about kiki's limits and boundaries, etc. "oh but she has the right to be upset!" i agree. but there is a big difference between being upset and being a bitch.

3. more of a personal annoyance but i really hate how audrey treats aki.

so, what makes audrey different? what does she do that characters with questionable morals and ethics dont? and my answer is

audrey acts as if she is right.

she never really apologizes for her homophobic behavior. she hasn't gone back and said "hey, i'm sorry for saying a mlm kiss wasn't normal. i was wrong and that was homophobic of me, i will watch my language from now on." GG glosses over that, not giving audrey any consequences for what she said.

she does get consequences for how she treats her mom. we don't know what happened yet but the most popular theories seem to be overdose or attempted su*c*de. both as a result from the fight with audrey. this and her little talk with aki seemed to change how audrey views her mom and her moms situation, but to me that doesn't change how she acted in the last 5 episodes. she has a lot of apologizing and changing to do before i forgive the horrible manner she acted in response to her mom's depression.

summing it up, audrey believes she is right. she acts as if she is on a moral pedestal and can do no wrong, even while her best friend and boyfriend try to knock some sense into her.

thats the difference between audrey and characters like max, monet and even luna. they know they do bad things, they don't act like they aren't mean, rude, liars, manipulators or even traitors.

So I watched Gossip Girl Reboot and I have some thoughts.

Honestly speaking, I liked it. Granted there were some problematic stuff like Watching people in mid twenties play 16 year olds and the media using Adults as a way to show soft porn in a teen space (Especially after Skam and Genera+ion and Young Royals)but we can ignore it.

But the whole dynamic of a teacher being Gossip girl is really interesting. It's horrible but interesting. The producers have said that the main point of this reboot is not the "Who". So keep an open mind while you watch it. Some teachers can be really petty though. I hope they get sued for harassing and clicking pictures of minors.

Now let's come to characters.

Monet And Luna: Literal Queens in my opinion. They carried the show with their unapologetic meanness and it was awesome. I would love to see a sapphic relationship between them and I just know they're gonna have the most character development. I also like how they have power over the Queen B.

Audrey: People think she's annoying but I just think it's their internal misogyny showing up. If it was a dude in her place, he would have been labelled dark and brooding instead of annoying. I think she's reserved and introverted and definitely kinky. I think the dynamic between her, max and Aki is going to be awesome.

Aki: We didn't find a out a lot about him in the first episode except that he's probably bi curious, nice and reserved. I like him and I think he's going be the anchor to Audrey's occasional bitchiness and Max's playboy tendencies. Like he's going to be their rock. He gives softboi vibes and I have a feeling that he's gonna become one of my favourites.

Max: The playboy of the group. He's fun, carefree and just wants to live his life. I love him. Something about his willingness to be a chaotic neutral is so appealing. Like he's a dickhead but he's a nice and hot dickhead. One of my favourite characters introduced. Yes He's definitely Chuck bass if Chuck had a nice home.

Obi: The guilty rich with a holier than thou aura. People say that he gives off a white boy savior vibes and while that might be true, I want to give him a chance. He's bland, sure but he's also the nice and compassionate guy we all are looking for and if we bash the character just for being a genuinely good person, I think that's wrong on our part (this is coming from a brown girl)

JC and Zoya: sisters from another misters literally. They're more alike than they think they are. They're the only characters that I didn't like much. They were fine, JC with her soft bitchiness and Zoya with her innocence but they're also very predictable. They're craving for so much that they forget that they're sisters first.

And that's my take. I'm really excited for the coming episodes. It's going to be a good sort of train wreck. Also let's not compare the reboot to the OG because the OG was shit too.

Wow, I've heard people say that R;N gets dark in the middle, but I wasn't expecting this dark, holy crap. Watching Kai desperately try to save Mizuka as she walks off a friggin' cliff was terrible. And right before that, they did a great job setting up the dread of watching Model-2 fall on Subaru. Just as he and Junna were starting to understand one another aaaaa!

I love when games give you a big choice and you know exactly what to do! Ace Attorney games are always chasing this feeling, for example. The Aki vs Kai battle was exactly that! It was such a big moment for Kai because he *never* throws a match, until now. Mad respect, dude, make that dream come true!

Okay, let's talk about earlier phases. When I got the Frau ending, I thought *that* was what people were talking about when they said it got dark. She was basically killing herself by wasting away following the Gunvarrel news online, but finding her in the bathtub actually trying it was awful. It was great seeing her and Kai bond afterwards though. Definitely the most intimate route so far. I ship it. I like Frau now that she's a more active participant in the group. Friendship ftw!

The Airi route was very beautiful and sad, too. Not sure how much I like Kimijima just friggin' being a weirdo bystander to her family though... How'd he get that cold storage thing ready so quickly? Also his room is in Gunvarrel, that's suuuuper sus. I guess Frau's mom was looking for him/the reports?

Kissing Airi through the screen reminded me of Amadeus and made me super sad. Maybe in DaSH they will retcon it so that she's built upon or is a rudimentary form of Amadeus, because Kimijima's a god like that. I guess I don't know too much about his past at this point, but he could be associated with VC University, in which case it wouldn't be completely out of the question.

Takumi's reaction to the Kimijima reports pissed me off, like, you of all people should be taking this seriously dude. It's possible his tweets are a front to protect himself. Wouldn't the Committee be keeping tabs on him? I'm not sure of the exact circumstances under which he lost his powers. I should look up a LCC summary at some point.

Seeing Kurisu call Okabe an "acquaintance" made me die a little inside. The ship is capsizing right before my eyes! :((( Hopefully they can save the world together and fall in love again. Though we did get the tidbit from Frau that Kurisu regularly goes to ComiMa. My soul might revive if they all did a group cosplay at some point, just like Okabe promised Mayuri in a forgotten worldline. :') With both Mayuri and Okabe's powers of persuasion, there's no way Kurisu can refuse! At the very least, they all must meet up when Kurisu's in town for ComiMa, right? Right?!?!?

At least mini Suzuha is real. I'd be willing to bet I'll see her in DaSH.

Can you do a JaeYona fanfiction prompt for me? I want a story where Yona's problem with not eating for long periods of time when she gets really stressed resurfaces? I noticed that Yona had that problem mentioned a couple times in the series, but it never really gets brought up again, and I could see Jae Ha and some of the others getting really concerned over it. I hope this isn't too sudden, but I'm surprised that there aren't more fanfictions that bring it up and I'd like if somebody wrote one

“Daddy! Daddy!” tiny voices could be heard running across the hallways of the palace as King Jae-ha turned to see his twin children rushing towards him. He was currently sitting with his cane watching Hak, Ura, Hawke and Shiro practice, Lina bouncing her 6-year-old Krystal in her lap and giggling at her silly siblings. The child squealed when she’d feel her unborn sibling kick at her, considering Lina was 6 months pregnant with her next child. Sitting next to her was her second daughter, Jin-ae, who was named after the first Queen of Kouka, Hiryuu’s wife.

 “Here comes Aki and Mido, Uncle Jae-ha.” Hinto, Shin-ah’s 10-year-old son chuckled as he at saw them coming with his dragon’s eye.

 “Aka-dori? Mido-ka? What is it?” Jae-ha asked once the two children arrived. They were 5 years old, the girl with long raven hair and the boy with short ginger hair.  The girl had clear blue eyes and the boy had green.

 “Mommy won’t eat!” Aki cried, whimpering. “The cooks don’t know what to do she didn’t eat breakfast and now she says she doesn’t want lunch.”

 Hak stopped his practice run and sighed, shaking his head. “… She’s still upset over…” he glanced to Zeno who nodded.

 “We all miss former Seiryuu and Hakuryuu.” The Yellow Dragon answered. “It didn’t help they passed only a year apart. Not to mention former Ryokuryuu lately has…”

 “Oh please, I’m just fine.” Jae-ha waved him off. “I mean seriously Lina’s 22 now, I honestly thought I would have long kicked the bucket by now.”

 “Yeah and you fell down the stairs the other day again, Droopy Eyes.” Hak growled. “You gave her a heart attack.”

 “Hak come on, you have enough on your plate.” Jae-ha looked at him sadly, after all Valerie had just passed away in childbirth a year ago. “No point in me bothering you all the time to get around.”

 “But I can help you uncle!” Shiro, the current 12-year-old Hakuryuu said while extending his arm.

 “Precious child.” Jae-ha hummed, petting the boy on the head. He sure had his father’s enthusiasm.

 Tetora smiled as she hugged her son from behind. “You’re always so eager to help.”

 “Really guys I’ll tend to my wife, lead the way treasures.” Jae-ha hummed, Aki and Mido eagerly rushed back in. “But don’t run or you’ll…”

 “GAH!” Gigan, Jae-ha’s middle daughter growled as the twins nearly plowed her over when they ran past her, the 16-year-old looking rather annoyed. “Aki! Mido! Watch where you’re going!” she growled as she almost dropped the books she was holding.

 “Done with your lesson already Gigi?” Hawke called out to his older sister.

 “Yes which you skipped!” Gigan snapped at him, her eyebrow twitching at the nickname. “What kind of prince are you when all you want to do is run off and learn fighting with our Uncle Hak? Seriously you can’t solve everything with your muscles idiot.”

 “Not everyone enjoys lessons like you do Gigan.” Lina giggled.

 Jae-ha laughed, petting Gigan on the head. “My smart little treasure. You’re going to make a fine queen someday you know.”

 That made the raven-haired girl blush. “F-father really I mean I would be honored if mother were to choose me but I’m not the oldest…”

 “You really think Lina wants the throne?” Jae-ha snorted.

 “Hell no, I’m traveling with Ura after the kids are grown.” Lina rolled her eyes and took her husband’s hand. “I’m a Ryokuryuu my job is to protect our mother and eventually I’ll protect the future king and queen. Which could be you and Shiro when you get married.” She teased.

 Shiro practically choked as he turned red at that. “I-I-I… T-that’s n-not funny Lina!”

 “LINA!” Gigan’s face turned into a fireball. “I’m not you I don’t go around marrying our cousins!”

 “Please, Kija and I weren’t exactly blood brothers just dragon brothers.” Jae-ha hummed. “Otherwise Shiro & Hinto would be Lina’s brothers with their dragon connection. Besides look how happy Ura and Lina are you know I sure won’t complain…”

 “FATHER THAT’S NOT FUNNY!” Gigan shouted, looking ready to explode. “GAH! Why am I the only normal one in this crazy family?!”

 Jae-ha laughed how his daughter would always have a meltdown over things like this. The rest of his children got his carefree attitude and Gigan was more like her namesake it made me smile. “Anyway where’s your mother? I hear she’s being stubborn again.”

 “In the library.” Gigan answered after she settled down. “One of the scholars just dropped off a new scroll with her and she said she was putting it away…. She was forcing a smile so I was going to bring her a new specimen from Kai that my instructor brought.” She held up an orange colored orchid. “Give it to her father, you know new flowers for her garden always cheers her up.”

 Jae-ha nodded, smiling as he took the flower. “I will my dear. Try to not let your siblings drive you insane.”

 Gigan looked at him deadpan. “Don’t ask for the impossible, father.”

 Jae-ha snorted, then kissed her forehead and headed on for the library. His twins ran so far ahead of him he shook his head as they found their mother first, her back to them and not even noticing they entered as she was looking over a scroll.

 Tears floated down Yona’s cheeks as it was a new illustration of her and her Four Dragons surrounding her, along with many of the tales the scholars sat her down and made her recall because they wanted to make a full record of the second incarnation of King Hiryuu. Shin-ah’s funeral was only a few weeks ago and she still wasn’t over the loss of both Kija and Valerie. She sobbed to herself as she clutched the parchment close, hating the fact her family was slowly being torn apart but at the same time blessed she had so many happy years with them…

 “Mommy!” Aki and Mido were suddenly hugging her ankles, snapping her out of her trance. “Mommy! We brought you something!” the twins bounced on their toes as they pulled back.

 “Oh what is it you two? Don’t tell me you’re trying to butter me up because you set the garden on fire again.” Yona sighed, bending down to her kids to pet them on the head.

 “No mommy that was an accident we swear!” Aki whimpered.

 “Even though it happened three times.” Mido squirmed.

 Jae-ha chuckled as he walked in. “They’re just worried about you my lovely, here. A gift from Gigan.” He handed her the flower, bringing a small smile the queen’s face.

 “It’s lovely.” Yona said, joining him in standing. “But you should be resting.” She scolded her husband.

 “I’m behaving.” Jae-ha hummed, leaning on his cane for support. He tried to hide the fact he was trying to catch his breath from the walk over, lately just getting out of bed was a chore for the aging dragon.

 Yona brushed her fingers over his bangs, noting the sweat on his forehead as she chided him. “You can’t hide from me, husband. Sit down.” She pushed him into a nearby chair that the twins helped bring closer. “Or else I’ll let our terror twins tie you down again.”

 “Can we mommy?!” Aki cried, excitement dancing in her eyes.

 Jae-ha snorted. “Now you’re using the kids against me, that’s not fair love.”

 “You use them against me so it’s only fair.” Yona giggled, kissing him playfully as she pulled away. “Aki, Mido, go get something from the chefs for daddy along with his medicine from Grandma Yoon ok?”

 “Ok mommy!” Mido darted off, Aki rushing after him.

 “I’ll only eat if you do.” Jae-ha said in a sing-song voice.

 Yona made a face. “I’m not hungry.”

 The Ryokuryuu sighed, grabbing her hands. “… Love… Come on it’s not your fault. You know Shin-ah and Kija wouldn’t want you to feel guilty.”

Their children are safe here and we’ve basically broken the curse of Ryokuryuu and Seiryuu villages as their lines will continue here where they are celebrated not hated. We might even mix dragon blood with the way Gigan and Shiro are crushing on each other.”

 Yona rolled her eyes. “Stop playing match maker with our children.”

 “It worked with Lina didn’t it?” Jae-ha hummed, kissing her cheek. “… Please love, you’ve barely ate anything all week or do I have to pop another treasure inside you to make you take care of yourself?” he offered, fluttering his eyelashes at her.

 Yona turned bright red at that, squirming in his lap. “… I-I… I can’t do that, they might never meet their…” she sadly brushed his cheek.

 “Think of it as me leaving you a treasure behind my love.” Jae-ha hummed, pressing his forehead against hers. “Besides we know they won’t be lonely with as many siblings as they’ll have. Just think about it love.” He gave her another kiss. “After all I don’t seem to have the stamina I used to in my prime.”

 “What a crime.” Yona giggled slightly, smiling warmly at her husband. “… Thank you Jae-ha… You and all the dragons helped me find the greatest happiness in my life. I just…. Hate the thought of waking up without you by my side.” She choked.

 Jae-ha looked at her sadly. “… I know, I feel the same. But the kingdom and our family need you love. Besides… You know I’ll be waiting for you on the other side.”

 “Jae-ha….” Yona sobbed, her eyes threatening to let out another waterfall of tears until she heard the sounds of her twins rushing back into the room.

 “We got food mommy! You gotta eat too!” Mido said, holding up a tray that was bigger than he was of food as Aki was holding Jae-ha’s medicine.

 Yoon stood in the doorway as he came behind them, holding a second tray. “Yona how many times have I told you that you can’t skip meals like this?”

 Yona pursed her lips as she crawled out of her husband’s lap. “… I told you kids just to get your father’s medicine not tell on me.”

 Aki giggled. “But Grandma Yoon is your advisor and he can advise you to eat!”

 “Not like she ever takes my advice when it’s about her health lately she’s as bad as her husband.” Yoon rolled his eyes, looking over Jae-ha and handing him a powder. “Now take that or else you’re on bedrest the rest of the week.”

 “Thank you mother.” Jae-ha teased, though the boy genius was so used to it that didn’t even faze him anymore.

 “We just don’t want you to get sick mommy please?” Aki bat her eyes at Yona, looking ready to cry. “Daddy gets sick enough and you take care of him so who’s going to take care of you if you feel bad?”

 “Me probably.” Yoon mumbled under his breath.

 Yona groaned as she took a seat, her twins at her legs immediately trying to force her something to eat as she sighed and grabbed a bread roll. “Fine, I’m eating are you guys happy now?” she then had the kids put the tray down on the table full of books as she lifted them into her arms, kissing their cheeks. “You two are too precious, so worried about me and your silly daddy.”

 “Because daddy makes you cry when he gets hurt!” Mido whimpered. “You’ll make daddy cry if you get sick.”

 Jae-ha hummed. “That’s right dear, don’t you know it’s a crime to make the king cry?” he tried to tease.

 “Don’t you start.” Yona snapped. “It’s not my fault I was tired last week and you insisted on trying to carrying me to my room like a stubborn fool.”

 Yoon groaned. “Don’t remind me. I’m the one the kids got when they found you two at the bottom of the stairs.”

 “So I can’t land as gracefully as I used to…” Jae-ha rubbed his cheek in embarrassment as he chuckled, then grabbed something off the tray for himself to get the bitter taste of the medicine out of his mouth.

 Yona sighed at that. “Sorry. I guess I have been worrying you guys just…”

 “Well all miss them.” Yoon gave her a hug. “… Just know that you aren’t alone, ok? And we can’t lose you too. This idiot will probably jump off a cliff to join you if you die on him.” He jabbed a thumb at Jae-ha.

 “Yoon not in front of the little ears.” Jae-ha groaned, not exactly denying it.

 “No die mommy!” Aki and Mido clung to their mother tightly. “You can’t leave us!”

 Yona wilted at that, hugging her twins tightly. “… You’re right. I’m not leaving you kids anytime soon I swear.” She kissed each of their foreheads. “And now go tell daddy he can’t leave you either so he has to stay stubborn for at least a few more years.” She smirked, letting them go as they rushed to their father.

 “Daddy! Daddy! You too!” Aki cried, clinging to his legs as Mido tugged on his robes.

 “Oh you little darlings I wouldn’t dare leave you just yet, I have to keep seeing all the trouble you get into come here!” Jae-ha smirked, lifting the kids into his lap and smothering them with kisses. “My precious little treasures.”

 Yona smiled at the sight, hoping that her precious family could stay together just a bit while longer…
