Oh, holy 5ds artist. We need angsty headcanons on any pg/couple (faithshipping is well accepted too) to satisfy our daily angst needs

(Lmao anon I prefer AU queen) I have two faithshipping headcanons to share if they’re enough…

• Most of my headcanons about Yusei and Aki are positive, but think for a second about how different their past is. I imagine they told each other more about their own stories once they started dating a bit :v even though Yusei lived the tragedy of being an orphan, a lot of the stuff he did had a “cool side” (ex. the team gang project, etc), he had his friends, while Aki’s story is incredibly unfair (from his perspective, of course). She did have a family, but her parents rejected her bc they feared her powers. Aki ended up in Divine’s hands because she was alone and vulnerable. SO much of that pain could have been AVOIDED and Yusei can barely believe Aki can even tell her own story with a straight face, like, he’s really glad she could find healing, but deep down he considers her trauma almost more valid than his own :v
• This idea is a pure headcanon, and it’s inspired by a fanfic that I love a lot, but imagine if Aki’s powers were an indirect consequence of the energy waves of the Zero Reverse. Yusei was around 1 yo or slightly more, which means Aki might have been in her mother’s womb at that time. Those waves could have altered her biology/brain in a way that caused her powers to manifest. This might mean a ton of more guilt for Yusei. Remember how he felt, that it was unfair having friends when your father was the man who (unwillingly) caused them to become orphans? Add Aki to the list and boom you’ve got the angstiest headcanon of them all
