And before you ask, yes! I really like Castle Cats! One of my fav games (Even if it is mobile) and contains some goofy characters, fun designs, and cool queer rep I don’t see often! (I just really like these silly kitties since I left the warriors fandom in 2021)

ANYWAY, this design! Wanted to lean more into a luna moth inspired look since Lumoz’s original looked more like that, and I also wanted to go all out with shape language! All and all, def one of my best character designs!

Not just the overworked and chronically tired Executive Assistant at Varmitech Industries, but also Zach’s best friend since high school (And also secret lover)

Here’s some fast facts bout the tbh guy ever!!

-Extremely anxious, chronically sleep deprived, jumpy, and soft-spoken (Most of the time hehe) 

-As mentioned before, SERIOUS codependency issues since he was little. 

-Works at Varmitech Industries as the overworked executive assistant, been in this position since the age of 17 

-Around Zach's age

-He actually planned on becoming a computer scientist before meeting Zach and changing his career to help him out. 

-Basically Zach's best friend since high school and a bit of a lover to him 

-This relationship is NOT one sided as Zach also does love Riley just as much, it's just that his hatred for the Wild Kratts overpowers his love for Riley. 

-Because of this, it's really difficult for Riley to get some alone time with Zach, or to talk with him and have him NOT mention the Kratt Crew 

-This has also led to some animosity towards the brothers, as in Riley's mind, they're the reason Zach is like this and why he can't have him completely, and from what he's heard, are Zach's bullies. 

-He doesn't HATE nature, he's just horribly afraid of it and thinks the world would be better off if society and nature never interacted and stay separated

-He thinks what the bros are fighting for is a worthless battle

So uh, awhile back I watched the new episodes of wk and they were good... 

except for one thing THE FUCKING MOUNTAIN GOAT CPS, I MEAN HOW COULD MY MASSACRE MY TOP FAV ANIMAL 

This couldn't go unchecked, something had to be done. 

So I dropped everything, made a problem diagnostic of the og design, and redid it! 

Took massive inspo from longhorn and gazelle cps designs and also just, made it not look too much like a green fucking goat

Wanted to finally post the ref sheet I got for Zach's base cps vest and gloves. (Incase anyone wanted to draw fanart) Also some notes to go along with it: 

-He's WAY more disheveled and tired looking here because he literally pulled allnighters almost every night for the past 4 months to get the cps to work. Dude needs to fucking sleep 

-Vest is way more angular and actually more metallic, being made of pure titanium and being more heavy weight. More mecha like basically 

-Pattern on back is supposed to resemble a ribcage. Cuz he's an edgy bitch 

-Glove fingertips look like claws because 1. He needs them in case he runs into a problem and can't activate in time so those claws are meant for self defense, and 2. He's an edgy bastard once again 

 -Another small change added to Zach are his eyes, which have a small red speck on them, showing how the cps is already starting to influence him, but only slightly 

-Lastly is the DNA crest, which has all of the animal instincts and DNA condensed and shoved into a small space for Zach to insert in and allow access to his brain. (Idiot)

Tbh I gotta start doing more doodles, and start talkin more bout my CPS!Zach au (Also all tags including this au will have the ‘CPS!Zach au’ tag in em)

Anyway, here's some doodles as I said and some notes lol 

-I like to think that the transformation process is painful in Zach's case, cuz he fucked up making it so badly that the innard robotic parts are literally fusing into his skin as he changes 

-Also his eyes get fucked up and bloodshot as they're adjusting to the advanced eyesight he's been given 

-Sometime during the fight between him and the crew, I like to imagine as the fight goes on, his chest V gets more and more cracked until it eventually shatters after his suit frys from overusage 

-As for the top left, this is actually a concept for his octopus arms attack. Basically, Zach stands still as the preying mantis arms retreat back into his suit, tentacles sprout from his back and launch themselves at the target. He stays stationary as this attack is going cuz otherwise it's hard to move around. (This is actually inspired by the Pure Vessel's 'void tendrils' attack in Hollow Knight :3)

Fun lil a5 trivia/lore is I really really REALLY love Pokemon (Always have, alongside Digimon of course)
