By the way, you can say you hate characters and STILL admit that they were abused or harassed. There's literally nothing wrong. Denying it or romanticizing it because of a strange kink of yours won't make your hate any less evident, trust me.
Rhaenyra was abused. She's continuously taken advantage of, and brushed away the moment she isn't needed anymore. And she experiences this first hand with her own father, who completely ruins motherhood for her when she grows up watching Aemma get impregnated and either miscarry or have the baby be stillborn or die in the cradle. If Viserys had been by her side as a supporter to her claim since the start, he wouldn't have gotten Aemma pregnant again and again in the pursuit of a male child. He wouldn't have married Alicent for the same reason. Even after, the only reason why he still stands by her side, and it's time the fandom accepts this, it's solely because of his grief and guilt, because Rhae is the only remnant of Aemma.
And there it starts. Firstly, groomed and left alone naked and alone by her uncle in a brothel. Secondly, slept with Criston Cole (although she did coerce him, that's still a literal TEENAGER) then she's married to a gay man and still approached super young by her new bodyguard and just one year later she's started giving birth to his children. (Side note: FUCK Rhaenyra x Harwin. FUCK with reverb. With hard K.)
And up to this point, most fan agree that she's had a shitty life, although I don't agree with some of her choices. (like her treatment of Criston Cole and the bastards, not because I'm some kind of bigot, but because passing bastards as trueborn in THAT precise world sets them up for failure, not being legally deserving of a thone DOES NOT mean me hating them. That's for another post.)
To top it all off, she meets her uncle again, and there starts the fanfic self insert. They have sex on a beach the day of Laena's funeral, the only one of the three wives he's ever been canonically loyal to (FUCK you writers) and fans think it's soulmates meeting again or sum shit. They subtly threaten Laenor to fake his death or actually die (that's what they were trying to do, cope harder) and marry mere days after the death of Laena.
Yes, all cute and romantic (for Dumbnyras twats) but literally, has it done anything good? For Rhaenyra or like, anyone else? It just brought Daemon closer to the line of succession. Literally. That's all the good it has done.
Fast forward to ep 10. How do I even start with this? Only Jace seems to be on Rhaenyra's side. It's clear he only obeys to Daemon out of fear and is scared to talk back to him. Meanwhile, he COMPLETELY disregards his wife's, and by his faction's loyalties, QUEEN's, orders, he ignores her wails of pain as she miscarries their daughter out of pure shock and grief for her father's death. He lashes out and chokes her on the same day and people still see him as the malewife to Rhaenyra's girlboss. They're always ready to do award-deserving mental gymnastic to justify this man.
"He was planning war because he wanted to distract himself!!!!" "He only choked Rhae because he was mad at Viserys, he'd never hurt her!!!!!!"
Fuck off. Coming from probably Rhaenyra's #1 hater. Fuck. Off. Don't say you care about her place in the view of men when you're ready to justify shit like this.
This is the same man who runs off and has an affair with a teenager, and then prefers going on and having a badass death instead of joining his wife and children who need him in King's Landing.
Do I like Rhaenyra? No. Do I think that, because of this, she's never been abused, or exploited in any way, in her life? ALSO no. My distaste for her character has NOTHING to do with Viserys, Criston, Daemon, Harwin or literally ANYONE ELSE in her life.
Alicent Hightower time, baby.
My mother, my aunt, my grandmother, my entire bloodline, my Roman Empire. And more. To anyone who thinks of her as nothing but a bitter/jealous girl, go read @feretrumdulcia 's post about this matter cuz there's literally no one I've seen that words it better. (And bub if you're reading, long live you and the way you think.)
https://www.tumblr.com/feretrumdulcia/720746371814195200/i-have-seen-quite-often-that-many-people-consider
Anyone who can read this and argue that Alicent is envious/jealous or bitter, honestly needs to take the heart shaped sunglasses off, get off tumblr and Ao3, learn what media literacy is and start learning how to possess a crumble of it. To us it makes sense to synpathize with both, because we've seen the big picture. To Alicent, Rhaenyra gave her virtue to the man that almost killed her brother, and chose to believe she did not out of trust and maybe nostalgia for her friendship and easier times, only to have her father be blamed and taken away from her as a result.
She has four kids in the span of, how much? Five, six years? Seven at best? Helaena and Aemond are NINE MONTHS APART. Viserys didn't even let her rest after she gave birth to her daughter. And I'm convinced 100% that he kept her as Idk some whore he didn't need to pay for because it's stated that he never wanted Aegon but the son he butchered Aemma for. Why keep on bedding her and forcing children on her when you'd never get what you want from her?
Throughout the series she's called bitter and downright a c*nt for this and that reason. She tries convincing Viserys that Rhae's children are CLEARLY bastards and she's setting herself and them up for failure by committing treason and putting them on the throne? Nah, power hungry, jealous, bitter. She marries Helaena to Aegon as a last resort because she's Valyrian and probably would've received proposals worse than the ones Rhaenyra made that would eventually convince Viserys to give her away? Hates her daughter, abuser, shitty mom. Rhae's sons slit her son's eye out instead of running when they had the chance and she rightfully lashes out? Nah, crazy ass, for the dungeons. She gives money and moon tea to her son's rape victim to ensure she gets a way out and isn't forced to have a baby she doesn't want? Bruh, rape apologist. She goes to Aegon and RIGHTFULLY disciplines him? Abuser. Forced to show her feet to a rancid filthy man to know where her son is? Upholds the patriarchy, hypocrite. She convinces Aegon to start fighting for her family because it's either them or the Blacks and he needs to start putting his life together and fight for them, so she crowns him and makes him King? Treason, deserves death, long live the brothel queens.
Somehow, it is ALWAYS HER FAULT. And those few that admit how wronged she was make fun of her.
CAN SHE FUCKING WIN?! Or y'all just hate her because she isn't Valyrian?
Btw almost all of these arguments are the same for Book!Alicent who I personally believe to be FAR MORE than just a bitter stepmom that hates her stepdaughter. She arguably has more reasons to start a coup against her in the books without that prophecy shit.
TLDR; It's OKAY to hate characters and admit they're abused and taken advantage of at the same time. You don't have a moral high-ground on no one because you hate or love a character instead of the other.

The “sympathy” given to Vaemond Velaryon is ridiculous (we all know that it is really about digging way too hard for a motive to portray Rhaenyra as “evil”). Comparing his death to that of Lyman Beesbury is reaching.
Lyman Beesbury was an honorable old man who had the courage to speak up during a treasonous and secretive Council meeting whose purpose was to usurp the rightful heir to the throne. He had no personal motivation and was of pure heart when he accused the Greens of high treason. And those vipers killed him for it.
Vaemond Velaryon was a snake in the grass, just like Larys Strong and Otto Hightower.
He was nephew to Corlys Velaryon, a coward, an opportunist and an upstart himself, who sought to use malicious rumors and the misfortune of a woman brought down on her by the members of his own House (they all knew about Laenor’s true nature) to not only take Driftmark away from Lord Corlys’ chosen heir, Lucerys, but also from Baela and Rhaena.
Vaemond deserved what he got.

I've been re-watching hotd and on ep 6, when Harwin and his father is killed in a fire started by Harwin's brother, Alicent acts shocked????
"I did not wish for this."
Didn't she spend 10+ years spreading rumors of Rhae's kids being "bastards" (with it possibly causing all their + rhae's deaths) ?????
And with the rumors (caused by her) and her stating that Aegon would be king????
Its funny how she is all "I didn't wish for this" while flashing her doe eyes as if she wasn't the one spouting rumors lmao while everybody (including THE KING) just did not care and claimed them!!!!
Alicent, even when her faction has staged a coup, will never accept responsibility for her actions. She always shuffles the blame off to a man or Rhaenyra. The interesting thing is, she'll blame the men around her for everything (some of which is right let's be real) but still continues to serve them. Meanwhile she despises Rhaenyra for being willing to rebel against men's expectations and blames her for Alicent's own choices.
In the situation with Larys murdering Lyonel and Harwin, the blame is on both Alicent and Larys, but Alicent's rejection of that culpability is ridiculous. Sure, she didn't outright say she wanted Larys to kill his family, but she did spend a decade complaining about Lyonel's actions as Hand and bitching about Harwin and Rhaenyra's relationship.
Both Alicent and Larys knew that Viserys wasn't about to get rid of a Hand who is politically savvy and respects his wishes (unlike some people) and they knew Lyonel wasn't going to step down anytime soon. They also knew that, while Lyonel was sending Harwin away for a time, that probably wouldn't keep him separated from Rhaenyra or the capital forever. Death was the only option that would actually give Alicent what she wanted.
Larys literally asked her if she wanted him to ensure her father's return to court. She's been working with him for a decade, how is she still surprised by his methods? Also how is Larys' kinslaying more deplorable than literally anything Rhaenyra has done? Yet Alicent continues to employ and give sexual favors to Larys while simultaneously condemning Rhaenyra for having extramarital sex with the consent of her husband.
Alicent was the only person who cared about who was the father of Rhaenyra's children other than Vaemond, who only cared because he wanted Driftmark. Viserys told her repeatedly to let it go, Laenor claimed the boys happily, Corlys named Lucerys his heir after Laenor's disappearance. No one in the fucking realm cared, as we see when the Dance begins; most of the realm supported Rhaenyra and the ones who didn't were only against her because of her gender and bribes from the greens. Alicent is just a bitter woman who can't stand to see a woman fight against the system she willfully upholds while simultaneously rejecting any guilt of her own actions.

it will always be interesting to me how an entire room of people can look at a woman desperate after seeing her son with his eye gouged out, trying not to cry despite herself, trying to seek justice, trying to plead for them to consider aemond as not just a prince not just her child but A child and not one person in that room felt any sympathy for her or her children.
not otto, who wants power, not viserys, who doesn’t care, not larys, who wants to manipulate and scheme. and certainly not anyone else present.
this is how you drive a woman to insanity. by making her think she’s always wrong, by gaslighting her into thinking she’s gone mad, by dimissing or even feeding into her worst fears and never once wishing to listen to her at all. “be quiet about it”.
alicent, who’s mother’s passed soon and who has not had anyone genuinely care for her well being in years.
there is just something very crude about seeing all these men and women point to alicent and say “evil” “bitch” “bad mother” “oppressor”

HotD time travel fix-it idea that's free to a good home:
Rhaenyra dies and wakes up the day that Viserys announced his intention to marry Alicent. Instead of flipping out on Alicent (as seen in some fics), Rhaenyra loses her fucking shit on her dad ("You murdered my mother for a son, and now you would steal my dearest friend as well? Tell me father, how many young girls will die before you are finally contented?") and points out that the only reason he has to remarry is if she's being disinherited. (She may or may not try to stab him à la Driftmark, whatever floats your boat)
After the disastrous meeting, in which Viserys revokes his marriage offer and summarily has a slight crisis over missing the apparent boiling rage growing in his daughter, Rhaenyra goes to find Alicent and try to start over again as the girls they had been only to find out: spoiler alert, Alicent and Sir Criston also came back! Queue Rhaenyra apologizing profusely to both of them for everything she did and trying to make amends.
Alicent, while both shaken and touched by Rhaenyra's rage on her behalf, and extremely thrilled to not to have to repeat everything all over again, is understandable wary but willing to work with her for the good of the realm. Criston of course, still hates her (as is his right) but loves and respects Alicent enough to go along with it.
Key points of this au are:
Rhaenyra does not go for Daemon; she's able to realize that he was just using her and would have happily seen her and her first sons die if it meant he got the throne. She also acknowledges he's an abysmal choice politically
Alicent gets to find happiness, and she and Sir Criston get closure and heal while staying very good friends; they both get actual, genuine apologies from Rhaenyra, and she does improve her behavior to match
Larys dies. Alicent breaks down and tells Rhae and Criston about everything he did to her (sexually manipulating and extorting her, making her an unwilling accomplice in his crimes, etc.) and the two of them share one singular Look and suddenly he's very, very dead
Sir Criston and Rhaenyra become co-presidents of the Alicent Hightower Defense Squad; neither of them actually like each other (even if Criston can find a way to forgive her, which is a big if) but both of them would die and definitely commit murder for Ali
Rhaenyra finds a way to defer the Velaryon marriage by a generation, and Laenor and Joffrey live long, full lives with each other
Alicent gets to ride a dragon; she deserves it
And that's as far as I got, anyway enjoy!

Alicent is the biggest crybaby in HOTD. Show!Alicent is also dumb as hell and quite inconsistent. Even Larys, who is socially beneath her, uses and manipulates her.☠️
Yes. Yes. And yes.

The way people talk about that scene in ep 9 really infuriates/honestly confuses me. On one hand, you have the people who make fun of it, even though it’s very clear is an abusive/coersive situation. Alicent looks disgusted and so sad. They use it as amuniation against her. Saying things like ‘Rhaenyra would never’. That’s horrible in of itself to say, but it only gets worse when you remember both Alicent and Rhaenyra have experienced being preyed on by older men. Basically implying ‘brave and strong’ women like Rhaenyra would never be taken advantage of (Mind you the people saying this also ship daemyra so self awareness doesn’t come in droves).
Then you have the people, maybe in an attempt to defend Alicent’s characterization, say that it makes no sense. The thing that always confuses me is the silent undercurrent of if a woman gets a modicum of power, that should make her immune to being abused or being a victim of patriarchy. Which is just not true at all. It’s one thing if you don’t like the decision, that’s your prerogative. But I’ve noticed people in the fandom often slip into boderline rape/assault apologia while explaining why they don’t like certain choices (ironically a thing I see people accuse the the writers/producers of). Matthew Needham, the actor who plays Larys, has literally said himself it’s about Larys having power. “It’s not like everytime there is information, this happens. But I think it’s whenever he feels she’s slightly pulling at the reigns, he feels like he needs to put her back in her box.” He does this in ep 9 because Alicent is trying to gain footing and agency without him, without her father etc.
Also I feel y’all forget that larys does have things to dangle over Alicent to manipulate her with. Are we forgetting Larys insinuating that when push comes to shove, he can say it was Alicent’s idea to kill his brother and dad. Like yeah he becomes the lord of harrenhal, but let’s be real, Alicent had more to gain from larys going rogue. That’s why he did it, then says ‘if the queen wants something done’. Up until that point, we can assume their talks/relationship was mutal, or at least Alicent could convince herself it was. Larys cornered a teen girl (in ep 5) knowing she was alone, with little allies. It was never a true meeting of the minds, so him turning out to be a creep was not surprising imo. Plus in ep 7, Alicent says she will surely need a friend like him, with a frankly fearful look in her eyes bc she knows what he is capable of. Another thing he could hold over her. Not to mention, who knows what they spoke about during their talks.
There is a through line of Alicent trusting people or at the very least thinking she can be on equal footing, just for them to flip it around on her*. That doesn’t make her a hypocrite or ‘weak’. It makes her fallible and human. She’s a bleeding heart, and I could be biased but that’s one of my fav traits she has.
*it has been noticed that Alicent takes her shoes off in ep 6 when they have dinner. It makes me wonder if that is how it all spiraled. It either started as a thing she genuinely did because she was comfortable in her room, and he made it some sick thing (like men do). Or there was a ‘buffer’ Alicent could create but it all desenigrated the moment lyonel and harwin dies. In both scenarios it is Larys, the assualter, who ups the ante to get what he wants.

This needs to be said but, Alicent being a holier than thou hypocrite, Criston Cole being a “nice guy” who still hasn’t gotten over Rhaenyra not giving up being heir to the throne so she could be his wife even after 16 years, Larys Strong being a kin slayer who has a creepy foot fetish, and Aegon being a rapist who watches starving children (some of which are his own bastard children) fight to the death doesn’t mean that Team Green has the interesting and complex characters.

HOTD CHARACTERS AS ALBUMS:
Alicent Hightower as 30 by Adele.
Tumblr media
Now that we are finally here, and I'm starting with my faves.
What is 30 by Adele?
It's her latest album that covers the topic of her divorce and the challenges she faces in the wake of it with the idea of motherhood impacting her decisions and thoughts around this time. Her signature ballads and intertwining of genres are apparent, but the story she invokes is that of trials and a time of change in her life.
So Alicent?
Yes. It's the album I think best fits her arc in season one and prepares for the rest. Let's go through this song by song. But also go listen to the album and think of her because at the end of the day. This is my interpretation.
30 x Alicent.
Strangers By Nature
Now, this first song is the introduction to the album. She's apologising to Lovers from the past, the present, and the ones in the dark. Taking back anything done wrong against them and saying that by the end, they were all strangers by nature to her.
If we are talking about Alicent I think that's were season 1 leaves her. So much is being uncovered about her and her character especially outside of Viserys in Episode 9 I think it's a good song within that context.
No one really knows her now, fully to her entire extent. How she loves, what she does to ensure she's kept aware of situations, what she stillnholds on to is kept guarded and compartmentalised for certain things.
Easy on Me.
This was the biggest hit off the album. It's a song about a dissolving marriage, a song dedicated to her child and childhood, and overall, it is very Alicent.
I think it applies well as a reflection of who she had been. Trying to balance her love for Rhaenyra and her duty to her father and Viserys. The betrayal and anger and disagreements she found herself in.
Say what you will but as the bridge of the song puts it,
"I had good intentions
And the highest hopes
But I know right now
It probably doesn't even show."
If that isn't her, what is?
My Little Love
Now I find Adele just extremely Alicent coded, but the reason I chose this album instead of 21 or 25, for example, is because this album was dedicated to her child.
Tumblr media
I refuse to explain this one. Go think of these gay lovers and cry your heart out because it hurts.
But also, it's a song of her explaining everything up until her divorce to her son. Kind of reckoning with the failure she feels and how stuck and stranding it all is.
For Alicent, I think it's the same. By the end, she's reconciling her past with her future. Trying to appease her want for Aegon to be crowned with her love for Rhaenyra and to an extent Viserys. She's also around all her children in episode 9, which is interesting when thinking about the song.
Cry Your Heart Out
Hello, season 2 Alicent. I genuinely think this is the direction it is going to go in because its just tragedy after tragedy for them. Especially when we see her under water and near water so much, baby girl, cry your heart out, it'll clean your face.
Oh My God
Alicole girls. Hi.
This is entirely Criston and Alicent coded for whatever they have going on.
I'm having a hard time doing this because I want you guys to go listen to it. But basically, the song is about this guy who she's with during this time who's her place of refuge with all he conflicting narratives and lies around her.
Also religion.
Tumblr media
Can I Get It?
Otto fans, Rhaenyra fans, Alicent fans, and fans of her children. You get to decide who this is about. It's about wanting to be someone's after everything you've done for them, everything you've been through to be at their side. Counting for someone to put you back together after everything is...
I Drink Wine
Hey alcoholism. Genuinely, this is thee Rhaenicent song of the Album. How can someone become so bounded by the choices somebody else makes? And it just goes down from there.
All Night Parking Interlude
I'm going to say Criston. I think they genuinely found a sense of home together.
Woman Like Me:
Hello episode 1 to 10 Rhaenicent. Hello, Viserys Targaryen. It's basically her saying, "How dare you?" Do you know who I am? What is expected? And slaying.
Hold On
Episode 8 Alicent Hightower, the woman you are.
To Be Loved
Season 2 Alicent. "I will choose to lose it's a sacrifice" and "you have no idea the sacrifices made to put you on that throne." That arc is going to play out so well. I'm geeked. An ode to her conversation with Rhaenys as well.
Love is a Game
The effect of Otto Hightower on women recorded by Adele.
Wild, Wild West
Now, this is such a random part of the album, but I do think it's a part of the charm. Unlike Larys Strong, who I hope burns in hell. Anyways, because big pivotal moments happen to her in different places, let's say rats what this is.
Can't be Together
Rhaenyra and Alicent, the tragedy you are. I'm so sorry I wasn't it westeros to save you from this.
Conclusion
Listen to the album Alicent folk. Listen and see if it's your pick. It's certainly mine.
Next up is her counterpart, Rhaenyra.

did Larys desire Alicent? I always thought he had a crush and he ( in the show) just took it too far by being a creep
I don't think it's about Larys having a crush on her. (It's enough that we have Criston, lol) In my opinion, Larys simply likes to degrade people who have power over him in some way. Alicent could easily order his head beheaded, so the fact that he can force her to do something degrading may give him satisfaction. For his information he might want money, gold, a castle - anything. And he chose this method of payment, so there is something behind it.

How can Alicent pretend to uphold traditions, law, and honor when she protect and align herself with a kinslayer (the greatest taboo in Westeros, EVERY religion state that no man is so accursed as the kinslayer) and a murderer who broke guest right (an ancient and sacred custom in Westeros, going back thousands of years to the First Men) ??
Because she's a hypocrite. Or, according to Alicent stans... she didn't order Larys to kill his father and his brother, she was shocked he did it. She thought they were just making small talk, like that time your friend told you she was gonna kill her sister for stealing her earrings. It's so not Alicent's fault that the man takes everything literally. And Criston is actually deeply religious, that's why he wanted to marry Rhaenyra after taking her virginity and breaking his vows, and why it was so hard for him when she said no. He thought he was going to hell already, and Joffrey literally threatened him and he was so scared especially because Laenor's lover is white and he's Dornish (yes, I know, but it’s Alicent stans okay?), so he sealed his fate and was ready to kill himself afterwards and go to hell. But Alicent is a pure soul who saw his religious conflict and understood everything he had been through, so she took him under her wing where he found redemption. It all makes sense.

Can we talk about how Larys Strong himself indirectly confirms the Blacks’ victory?
As the Littlefinger of the story, he spent his time stirring up trouble for his own benefit. He only cares about himself and his ambitions. The word loyalty is not in his vocabulary. Throughout the whole war (and even before that), he sided with the Greens. And yet after Rhaenyra’s death and the rise of the Black armies, Larys switched to the side of the Blacks and conspired to have the usurper killed.
Why did he do that? Because he saw that the Greens were losing, and as any opportunist, he didn’t want to be on the losing side. He didn’t count on still being executed by Cregan Stark, but his move was done in an attempt to save himself from being tried for treason along with all the other Green supporters who conspired to steal the throne from Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.
And yet, there are people who still deny that the Blacks won. How many clues do they need?
1. The Black armies literally win the war on the field.
2. Rhaenyra’s children get the Iron Throne and it’s her bloodline that survives.
3. Larys Strong betrays the Greens last minute because he didn’t want to be on the losing side.
4. King’s Landing celebrating the usurper’s death.
5. The construction of the statues of Aemond One-Eye and Daeron stopped.
6. Alicent Hightower locked up.
7. Jaehaera used as spoils of war, and never once considered by the Council to inherit the Iron Throne (and before you blame it on misogyny, please remember that Baela and Rhaena were considered).
Should I go on?

Do you think alicent and larys relationship is sexual assault? Because it's what her fans say to defend the fact that she has been practically prostitution, and this put her and rhaenyra on a same level since alicent entertain sexual relationship out of the marriage
No, I don't think it was assault. Alicent chose not only to employ Larys but also chose to feed into his fetish. Alicent is the queen, the second most powerful person in the realm, she could easily get rid of him. She could literally have him executed for his sexual advances. But she chooses to continue this dynamic with him because it helps her cause.
Is Alicent happy about doing this? Well, no, but Alicent isn't happy about anything. After all, how can one be happy if they refuse to try to find happiness? Larys is a piece of shit, yes, but Alicent is continuously making the choice to ally with him, knowing how he likes to be repaid.
Larys is a piece of shit, yes, but he's not assaulting or raping Alicent. It's a professional interaction, just like sex work is (I'm not calling Alicent a "whore", I'm just saying she's engaging in a form of prostitution). She's doing sexual favors for a man in exchange for information while married.
The irony is that in terms of the Faith's morality, Alicent is on the same level as Rhaenyra. For all of Alicent's false piety and obsession with "honor and decency", she's stooped to the level she accuses Rhaenyra of being and enables men to do far worse than Rhaenyra ever did.

So who ARE your least favourite characters can you list them from 1-10?
like i said i dont think i could list my least favourite characters just because to me that means idc abt them and they're all the vaguely same level of disinterest. but if you asked me to rank the characters i may find endlessly interesting but that i've also felt the most moments of visceral hatred for? easy.
1. Viserys. i have never found a character this detestable i swear. and its so amplified by the show not really admitting what he is; a terrible husband, an awful father, a negligent king, a murderer, a rapist, and a groomer. Alicent should have put a pillow over his face years ago.
2. Daemon. hate him for all the same reasons as Viserys except at least the show admits more that its who he is. so that takes him down to 2. to me he is just the ultimate westrosi version of dudebro misogynist and i cannot take the tantrums he throws seriously. Makes me want to take a bat to his face.
3. Larys. He really just... noticed Alicent was suddenly very vunerable without Otto and then told her the rhaenyra tea thing to further isolate her all to maneuver his way into a position where he could sexually (and otherwise) exploit her. Gross. And he killed two of the only inoffensive men in the whole story.
4. Otto. his shifty homophobic side-eyes are so funny but i also cant wait for him to be dragon dinner. he really just set up his entire family to die horrible fucking deaths for no reward because he was so desperate for power but not smart enough to play the game more sneakily. also he cockblocked rhaenicent - mortal sin.
5. Aegon. He's so hateable but so self-destructive that its just kind of pathetic. it makes it hard to hate him with any gusto because hes already doing such a good job of hating himself....... tho when alicent slapped him in ep 9 i laughed.

I believe it was actually Olivia (Allicent's actress) who refused to film any romantic scene between her and Larys and she went to Matt and Emma to ask them to support her. They all seem to be friends and care about the story, especially Matt I think 🤔
Oh my God ! I hope it's not true! Ryan Condal can't be such an idiot as to have wanted to do this horror ?! (No actually that wouldn't even surprise me...)
