Thinking about Finn being Gillion's teacher in the Undersea. Finn stepping in to be a parent when Gillion's own left him. Finn shielding Gillion from the Elders when possible, and finding himself more and more sickened by them every time he sees a child try to wield a weapon made for an adult.

Finn leaving the Undersea to learn more about the prophecy. Finn meeting Arlin and Drey and Beau and Rufus and Shay and travelling with them in hopes to discover more about the Oversea. Finn writing book after book for Gillion on what he's learned and found up here, but never getting to send them. Finn travelling into the Hole in the Sea knowing he may have doomed Gillion by doing so. Finn wondering if this was always meant to happen as he triggers a last resort spell, trying so so hard to save his crew mates as his body shifts and changes.

Apple living on Canela disoriented and confused for years until she is grabbed by a very familiar triton. Apple hearing the triton speak of destiny and a prophecy and she feels something resonate where her magic lies. Apple staying with this triton because something deep within her is begging her to. Apple flying with this triton and choosing to remain perched on his coral crown through some of his hardest days.

Apple travelling into the feywild and losing the triton. Apple sticking with the triton's friends because maybe they can return her to the triton. Apple watching them cry and not knowing how to comfort them but doing her best as she perches on the girl's shoulder and chirps and preens her hair and she's trying but the girl is still sad.

The triton reappearing in a storm and Apple reunites with him. Apple feeling the spell break, and Finn returns and he sees Gillion and he laughs because just maybe he didn't completely fail him. Just maybe.

Finn closing his eyes knowing that he and Gillion will have much to catch up on when he wakes up.

Okay so. Finn is 100 million% Darius. Family moment for Gillion which we all know he needs (OR Finn is an older Grimwalker who knew Darius)

Lizzie is Basha, but this time she gets a recovery arc. Willow is Caspian, super strong water magic moment. (again ships will be different then the characters, so Chip/Luz and Gill/Hunter is not bc of Luz and Hunter)

Instead of Chip being obsessed with wizards, its actually Pirates and being on a magical realm of sneaky thieves and adventure. Im still deciding between Drey being Eda or Arlin?

Not apart of the au, but just realizing how much Amity and Jay have in common?

-One parental figure is positive, one is manipulative and kept them on a beaten path until they broke it for the human (One is /p one is /r)

-Baddies who love women (Lizzie and Luz)

-Prodigy child which put a lot of pressure or stress on each of them

-Went through an arc with Human where they kept trauma and/or secrets.

-Canonically has a sister (Im not sure if Jay has a brother but ya know) (Im kinda writing this over several hours, just noting stuff down btw)

What if Apple the palisman got cursed into being a palisman, and once was an avian person who wanted to see the world and made a deal with Niklausssss????

i feel like the juxtaposition of gillion being asexual and so so uncomfortable with discussions of sex and finn being such a fucking whore that his lovebites survived ten years of being a bird, is not only funny as fuck, i feel like it also adds so much to the ace rep.

bc gillion is obviously "other" to the rest of the crew. sure alphonse is made of metal and gryffon is a panda, but gillion comes from an entirely different culture, has an entirely different biology. and it's so easy to just write up his asexuality to a race thing or a culture thing.

but then we find out finn, his grandfather, also a triton, coming from the same culture, fucks so much and went on so many romantic and sexual exploits that he filled a whole book with them! and it's explicitly told to us that gillion's otherness is not what makes him asexual!! he just happens to be other and also ace! and that is so so fucking important to me
