♠️ Being found in the Borderlands all by your own. ♠️

Summary: You have already been in the Borderlands for a few days and are familiar with the essential components. After a game, you've lost everyone you had a good bond with. You are the only one who was able to survive. Physically and mentally injured, you sit on the side of the road in the middle of the destroyed and desolate Shibuya district. Ready to drop everything - ready to give up - you'll be found by new players who may or may not have the willingness to help you back up when you've fallen so far.

Characters: Arisu, Chishiya & Niragi.

The sight of you reminds him a little of himself. He knows the look on your face when you stare in the middle of the void and don't make any effort to move from the spot, even though you know exactly how dangerous it is to just stay in one place and do nothing. When Arisu finds you, he immediately knows what's going on inside you, which is why he's already determined to help you in some way. The problem is that he doesn't know how to help you, considering he doesn't even know how to help himself.

And yet he dares to come to you after a moment's hesitation. Slowly, so you don't think he's trying to hurt you, but… even that wouldn't matter to you at that moment.

At least you don't even dare to look at him. You could say that your self-protection mechanism has left you completely. You're not afraid. No grief. Just… well, what do you feel? Nothing. Actually, it's just an oppressive void.

"I like to be part of someone else's suffering."

With these words, Arisu manages to draw your attention to him. He may get a confused, almost bewildered look from you, but it's worth it to him right now.

"All right, you don't have to say anything. Let's just… let's just sit here together for a little while and look into the distance. And if you need someone to talk to, then ... I'll be here."

What a strange guy, you think.

Still ... it's quite nice gesture, of course.

Just on the way to the next game, Chishiya meets you. He actually had better things to do than take care of you, which is why he didn't want to pay attention to you at all, but he finds it strange that you don't respond to anything.

He's just a few feet in front of you and you're looking right at him. His gaze is focused on you, you don't react. He speaks to you with a "Hard Game Finished?" but you sit silently on your spot and don't even make the slightest attempt to give him an answer. Nonsense. Apparently, you didn't even hear him. What if he waves? You're still not moving.

That eventually makes him come over to you, just to see if you're at least reacting to it. It's sad to say nothing's happening here either. Only when he squats in front of you and looks straight into your eyes, do you at least give the reaction of you to move your eyes so that you don't look straight into his. Eye contact has never been your strength.

"Pale. Slight tremor. Indifference."

He doesn't care if you listen to him at all, but the fact is, he's going to have to give up the upcoming game after all.

"A slight shock, it looks like."

Without thinking about it, he sits down on the stony, cold floor, inspecting the wound in your face while keeping a healthy distance from you.

"I can stitch the wound when you come back to reality."

Why is he even telling you this? He'll have to start smiling about it himself. There won't be any feedback from you either way.

"It's okay", he says, "I have time."

Most people who know him know how impulsive and violent Niragi can be, but as far as you're concerned, you have absolutely no clue. You didn't even mean for him to trip over your legs. You just sit on the floor and try to deal with the straightforward experience somehow. Forget the pictures of your comrades being brutally murdered. But now you are being prevented from doing so by being all the time riddled with a psycho, one might say, whom you have never even seen before in your life.

Normally, you'd apologize for what happened. I don't care if it was really your fault or not. As long as they leave you alone and go back on their way. And if there weren't any excuses, you'd at least take your legs and just walk away to get out of the situation.

Today, however, it is different. You let the curse and the provocation come upon you. Insults pass you by and don't interest you in the slightest. This, however, makes everything feel even worse. Don't you always say you shouldn't get involved with people like that? That you should just ignore them because then they'd stop harassing you? After all, it should be boring to just give monologues at some point, right? Not with Niragi, who will eventually point his gun at you, threatening to kill you if you continue to ignore him.

"Do it," you whisper softly to yourself, which is more than just serious. "Kill me," you continue, "there's nothing keeping me here any more…"

That's where you finally turn to the unknown, whom you have taken out of concept with these words.

He lowers his gun slowly and only looks at you with irritation. Did you really just say that? Did you really just give him permission to kill you with his own hands? To shoot you down?

"Wow."

Even him makes this speechless.

"Looks like someone's already done with their life."

Without saying anything else, he looks down at you in disgust, holding the gun loosely with both of his hands again, before only a bored "Hm" comes over him.

"Freak", he says, leaving you alone from now on.

— falling in love with arisu feels like . . . a soft breeze on a summer night, the warmth of a hug, an afternoon with friends, a colorful sunset, a clumsy first kiss, comfort, the smell of a new book, the pain in the stomach after an uncontrollable laughter, a walk through an art museum.

ever since you first saw arisu, you felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

you couldn't say why exactly, but the way he was simply made you feel instantly comfortable.

the truth is that arisu was very obvious with his feelings every time you were around.

it all started when you helped him in a game, saving his life.

some time later, without knowing too much about you, both of you separated, believing that you would never see each other again. however, you caught arisu's attention from that moment on, thinking of you even days after what happened, believing that maybe he would see you again when whatever is happening is over.

it was so that some time later, after having found the beach, he saw you once again, recognizing you instantly.

HE WAS IN SHOCK

at first, he couldn't believe that it was really you who was among all those people, even being part of the executives.

although at first he thought you had something to do with what was happening, you protected him all the time, mainly from niragi, who constantly messed with him. you stood up for him and even allowed yourself to chat with arisu from time to time, even if it was very brief.

but arisu, although he tried to convince himself otherwise, began to notice changes in his own behavior.

the way he unconsciously missed your small talks, or found himself looking for an excuse to be with you, or even look at you.

how shy he would get when you sent him one of your bright smiles that made him melt, and how he found himself dazzled by your lovely eyes, turning red everytime you gave him attention.

in fact, arisu quickly recognized that what he felt for you was not something of friendship. he knew perfectly well that what attracted him to you was unconditional love, an undeniable romance.

arisu would start to protect you even more than he used to, and worry excessively if he saw you leave to renew your visa, the worst possible scenarios playing in his mind, and making him relive bad times.

because if there was one thing that arisu knew, it was that no matter what, you were the only person he couldn't bear to lose.

he also used to look for ridiculous excuses to hold your hand, and would make gestures to silently ask you for a hug, loving the feeling of your body in contact with his, making him all fuzzy inside.

neither could he help the lovesick smile that formed on his face when you ruffled his hair in an affectionate gesture, or when you congratulated him for having solved a difficult game, making him feel proud of himself.

the indiscreet way in which his face lit up when he saw you, and his eyes seemed to form hearts when his gaze interwined with yours.

the long, lovingly, warm hugs he gave you every time you returned safe and sound from a game.

his love for you reached a point where he couldn't keep quiet about it.

he was tired of having to pretend that his gestures were just friendly, and of not being able to confess to you that this is not how he looks at you, because as obvious as it is

you just didn't seem to notice his attempts to show you that he likes you, or maybe you were pretending you didn't (which is the kind of thought that definitely terrified him)

but, this was definitely the moment when he had to tell you

if he kept prolonging, according to him, "the perfect moment" to confess, that moment would never come

it was he who had to make it perfect for you

he spent HOURS writing a long and cheesy speech that adapted to something characters would say in love movies that chota forced him to watch just to annoy him (lol i think this is so canon)

obviously just to inspire, not to copy the exacts phrases, actually putting his own toughts on it

he was thinking and analyzing for a long time the type of things that you once mentioned that you liked to be able to add them

he put the paper in his pocket and spent a lot more time trying to remember everything word for word.

that day you noticed him especially nervous and shy when you got close to him, much more than usual

and suddenly, one of those nights when you liked to take walks by the pool just to think a little, arisu found the exact moment to tell you.

HE WAS SO NERVOUS

his palms were sweating and he scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably every five seconds, trying to calm his feelings

but it was at the moment when he looked into your eyes, sweet and full of stars, that he caught his breath.

the words stumbled off his tongue and his mind simply went blank, feeling a whirlwind of feelings overwhelm him, knowing he didn't need any speech to tell you what he thought.

"i love you y/n…that's all i wanted to say to you"

though all his talk was stuttering and avoiding your gaze, for the first time you felt his voice crisp and clear, making intense eye contact

and finally you smiled, completely dispelling his fears and leaving room only for relief, his heart beating faster at the way you looked at him, eyes full of love

"i love you too arisu…"

and at that moment, you swore that you had never seen a person blush as much as arisu did at that moment, the sparkle in his eyes increased and simply the relief of knowing that his feelings were reciprocated gave way to a sincere smile, the kind of smile that only had when you were around

the kind of smile he had knowing that you love him as much as he loves you

after a long time of doubting, and having been under a lot of pressure from your family, you decided to choose a career in medicine.

it was a winding road, like climbing a mountain with no grip margin, a guaranteed fall

and yet, here you are, years after much effort, working in a hospital, just as you dreamed

the first time you saw him, you noticed something about that made it impossible for you to avoid looking at the blond when you accidentally ran into the him in the hospital corridors, unconsciously following him with your eyes until you lost sight of his presence

it was kind of routine, going by specific places and making brief eye contact.

and yet, one day, you had the opportunity to exchange a couple of words with him, exclusively for work

among your clinical folders you found one that belonged to him, soon seeing you have to talk to him to return it

perhaps it was his neutral look, or his calm tone of voice that slightly caught your attention, adding that to his mysterious and reserved personality that if you didn't find him interesting, you would even be scared.

and there you saw it on his id card: "chishiya shuntaro."

that was the last time you got a chance to talk to him (at least as two normal people)

because days after that was that the nightmare had begun

all you knew were blurred memories, and all the people important to you were strangers

you had to start finding a way to survive no matter how hard it gets

it was like that, how you accidentally ended up on the beach as one more member, meeting someone you definitely didn't expect to see again

yet you were not complaining

in some way, chishiya seemed to recognize you in the same way that you recognized him

it's as if the precise moment you two made eye contact he realized he knew you, somewhere in the back of his mind he knew he'd seen you before and he was willing to understand where and when exactly

that feeling, was the main reason why you caught his attention

but what kept it, was your courage and your curious way of seeing the world, not to mention your strong and determined personality that undoubtedly fascinated him

in his eyes you were definetly a really interesting being, unpredictable, unafraid to defend your ideals

in a way, at first he saw you only as a way out, one more phase to add to his plan.

but nevertheless, trying to win your trust so that you could trust him and he could use you to his advantage, fell apart the day he noticed that there was something else, a completely foreign feeling

you made him feel things

and he didn't like it one bit

he was IN DENIAL for the longest time

but could he really keep lying to himself?

he isn´t sure when the exact moment was when it hit him

maybe…

the moment when he found himself anxious, thinking if you were be okay, if you were be safe after not seeing you for a long time

the moment he found himself asking kuina and the people you used to hang out with on the beach if you're back yet, and the unknown feeling of relief and warmth in his chest when he found out you were safe and sound

he also searched for you when he knew you we´re leaving to play a game to speak to you before you left, saying something just to let you know he actually worries

he probably just says something weird and you giggle at his attempts, making him blush slightly

chishiya might just tell you smth like "dont die, im really not bothered to replace you" trying to come out as tough and heartless but you surely see trough that

he also likes how easy you understand him so he doesn't have to be obvious about things

not good with words but makes an effort for you

the moment when he first felt his heartbeat increase when you unconsciously took his hand to make him walk faster

the moment when his smirks would widen into a full smile, one that he only showed to you

kuina constantly asking how you did to put him in a good mood (because after meeting you he was most likely grumpy all the time —her words)

the moment when his eyes unconsciously searched for you in a room full of people

the moment when he began to stop feeling your voice as an annoying sound, and he even enjoyed the feeling of calm that hearing you talk gave him, still pretending that he wanted you to shut up (secretly wishing that you would never stop talking)

the moment you started to care for him and take care of him, making him feel finally appreciated

the moment when after a game you went full on doctor mood and started taking care of him (even if he protested that he also knew how to heal his wounds, secretly enjoying the feeling of your hands on his skin, and the loving touch and soft with which you treated him)

the moment he said it, it wasn't anything particularly special really, it was something more impulsive and definitely without the intention of being too obvious

it was on the beach terrace, the place you two had designated as your secret place

not explicitly clear, but suddenly chishiya and you began to meet causally there and it became a kind of tradition to both of you

"y/n" the call of your name made you hum to let him know you were listening "…you're really aren't as bad and annoying as i tought the first time i saw you.." chishiya said quietly, still not making eye contact with you, keeping his gaze fixed on the starry sky, mesmerized by the glow of the moon

"what?" you smiled softly at his words, turning your head to look at him, kowing he meant to say something else but didn´t know how to start. you just waited, and he looked fucking beautiful right now just as your eyes examined his features

"i think.." he made a pause, trying to find the exact word "i think i actually like you..you know? like..romantically"

and that was all you needed to widen your smile completely, and finally look into his eyes, noticing how he tried to hide a smile that threatened to come out when he finally met your gaze

"yeah.." you whispered "i think i like you too...like, romantically"

and then, you heard chishiya laugh slightly, finally opening up to you and feeling comfy about it, just talking and leaving all worries behind for a minute.

an: this is my first time making young teen!reader so i hope i get it right! also, sorry for not posting! were a bit understaffed at work and im putting on more hours too. also, i wrote it a bit drunk-

• the transition of child to teenager sometimes comes in small or big changes that the person is not physically, sexually nor emotionally ready to face. • for a tween to enter the borderlands without any parent entering another world with them, the other players were a bit hesitant to take her in. seeing as how looking after a child would be a hassle. • but that wasn't the case because you were quick to meet arisu and usagi! the two adults that were more than happy to take you and fill you in on how this new world works • having another girl around you surely helps. because by the time the monthly period starts, usagi is there to help you understand how it works and what you have to do about it. • when black and white thoughts would come and go inside your mind, arisu is there to listen to your thoughts and sometimes offer you advice on what to do and how to deal with it. • consciousness in the body would start at this age. but don't fret! kuina and an would help you find the right clothing and help you feel comfortable in it! • chishiya would be skeptical about you first - his skepticism comes from your concern about your body image and moments of becoming moodiness, but he'll get one thing straight - never ever lets you be influenced by the militants, most especially niragi. • arisu, kuina and usagi are more than happy to be in a game with you! • as weird as it sounds, mira would occasionally come to you and ask you how you're coping up. but its all because she used to be a psychiatrist and hearing your side of insights fascinates her. • you may be in your tween stage and everything around you confuses you, but never forget that there are people who became your temporary found family.

summary : After successfully finishing the last game, you run to reach Chishiya for the last time but before you can, you return to the real world with zero memories of what happened

a/n : season 2 spoilers!

Horrifying screams echoed trough the once empty and peaceful city of Tokyo. There was no voice announcing a new game, so the sudden shooting quickly caused a massive chaos. Everyone ran in different directions, panic taking over the residents.

Chishiya seemed unbothered as he roamed around the street as if nothing was going on. You groaned at his behaviour and after successfully dodging a few bullets, you wrapped your hand around the man’s arm and quickly dragged him behind a car, joining the rest of the group.

He raised one of his eyebrows when he noticed your hand still holding onto him. You scoffed at his smirk and quickly pushed his arm away, making him smile in the back of his mind.

“We’re pinned down here!” Kuina exclaimed.

“If we step out, he’ll get us!” Usagi answered when suddenly a green car stopped in front of you.

Before you could say anything, Tatta screamed to quickly get in the car in order to run away from the King of Spades who turned out to be the source of the chaos.

You looked at Chishiya and he unconsciously pushed you towards the car, for you get in first. The rest of the group joined you in the backseats but when it was Chishiya’s turn, he noticed a bomb on the ground.

“That’s bad. Get going!” He exclaimed and ran to hide behind a car while Tatta drove away.

“Chishiya!” You and Kuina both screamed, not wanting to leave him behind but at the same time, having no other choice.

In the back of your head, you knew Chishiya would be fine by himself, however the constant thought of something going wrong didn’t let you rest.

After a few games where you brushed against death, you finally met Arisu and Usagi again after losing contact with each other.

“What’s going on!?” You frowned when you saw Niragi, Arisu and Chishiya holding a gun while Usagi looked as much confused as you were.

“Look who we have here, our precious Y/N who always seems to nuzzle in other people businesses’. Let me make a favour for everyone gathered here and get rid of you.” He smirked and your body froze.

Not being able to do anything, you closed your eyes as Niragi fired his gun. You breathed heavily but frowned at the lack of impact. After a few seconds, you opened your eyes and noticed Chishiya in front of you, protecting your form behind his body.

“Chishiya!” You screamed once he collapsed on the floor. “Why the hell would you do that!?” You put pressure on his wound, only now noticing the second wound on his side.

You physically felt your heart shatter at the sight of his blood, slowly dripping down his body. While Arisu was busy listening to Niragi, you softly caressed Chishiya’s hair, something you’ve always wanted to do but never got the courage to.

“I wanted to do something out of my character.” He chuckled, looking up at you. “Besides, if it’s for you I’m dying for, it will be a quite nice death. Oh god, that sounded cheesy.” He cringed at himself, not taking his condition seriously.

“Don’t even dare mentioning you dying, we’ll get out of here soon and you will survive, alright?” You were trying to act though, but the tear rolling down your cheek and your shaky voice showed how you really felt at the moment.

“Of course, and we’ll open that cafeteria you never shut up about.” He laughed and you playfully nudged his arm.

You helped Chishiya lean his back against a random car and put his hand between yours. Although he wasn’t fond of physical touch, he didn’t seem to mind yours.

“We will, I promise.” You gulped, unsure of your action, but decided to slowly lean in and as you saw the corners of his lips tug upwards, you decided to go for it.

As your lips were about to touch his, Arisu exclaimed that the King of Spades was nearby and you had to leave immediately. Chishiya, as much as he wanted you to stay by his side, gently pushed you back and ordered you to run.

“I’m staying here with you, I won’t leave you alone.” You protested, sitting down next to him.

“You promised me to finish the game, come back when everything will be over. As you can see, I’m not going anywhere, I’ll wait for you.” He whispered and sent you a soft smile.

Before you could answer, Usagi grabbed your arm and you went to hide.

After hours of what felt like forever, the laser went through Mira’s head and you looked back at your two teammates, not believing the nightmare was actually over.

“Go Y/N, he’s waiting for you.” Usagi smiled at you, indicating you to join Chishiya.

You thanked them both for everything and left the roof, running down the stairs. You stopped mid-way as the characteristic female voice echoed through Tokyo, asking the remaining players if they wished to stay in this world. Without a second doubt, you declined the offer.

Although the building wasn’t far away from the Main Street, you felt as if you were running in slow motion. You started to get dizzy but you persisted in your moves and felt your heart skip a beat when your eyes finally met Chishiya’s. He sent you a soft smile but before you could reach him, everything turned black.

Once your eyes opened, you were met with a white ceiling. You raised your hand to put it against your head that was pounding unpleasantly.

“What happened?” You asked the nurse that was checking the monitor next to your hospital bed.

“You were one of the survivors of the meteor that fell on Tokyo. Your heart stopped beating for a whole minute but the paramedics succeeded to get your pulse back. You might experience memory loss which is normal, after a few days you should regain everything!” She smiled before leaving the room to check on other patients.

“A meteor? My heart stopped? For a minute?” You groaned at the massive headache, getting a strange feeling you were gone for much more than a minute.

After a few hours, you were discharged from the hospital and you were finally allowed to go home. It still felt as if you weren’t home for weeks.

You only had your purse on your nightstand, so you left the room after grabbing it. Nothing seemed right when you were walking down the hospital hall, as you somehow felt empty.

Outside the window, you saw all the other survivors who were with their loved ones.

“My bad.” You bowed apologetically when you accidentally bumped into someone.

“No worries.” A strangely familiar raspy voice came in contact with your ears.

You lifted your head and was met face to face with a blonde man in his mid-twenties. He analysed your face thoroughly and frowned after a few seconds. Before you could say anything, he left without a word.

“Why did he look so familiar?” You groaned at the incapacity to find him in your memories.

After two months, you successfully opened your own cafeteria. It was a dream of yours since you were a child but you never got the courage to have one because of your parents who didn’t consider it as a real job. However, after the incident with the meteor you realised how suddenly life can end. You decided to live it to the fullest and do as many things as possible in order to not regret anything.

You didn’t expect many people at the opening day but you were pleasingly surprised when your cafeteria was filled with customers. By the end of the day, you earned more money than you thought.

It was past 8 pm, so you decided to call it a day. As you were washing the dishes, you heard the bell ring, indicating someone entered the cafeteria.

“I’m sorry but we’re closed for toda-" You cut yourself mid-sentence when you turned around and saw the blonde man from the hospital.

“Oh, I’ll come back another day.” He was about to leave but you quickly stopped him.

“Wait, it’s fine! I’ll make an exception.” You smiled and invited him to sit down. “So here we are, meeting again.” You laughed.

“Yeah, I don’t mind it to be honest.” He confessed, looking at you.

After making his order, he asked you to join his table.

“Your heart stopped beating for a minute too, I suppose?” He asked, catching you off guard.

“Oh, when the meteor hit, yeah.” You smiled awkwardly, not being able to maintain eye contact with him. “Although I felt as if I was gone for weeks.” You added, wondering what he would say.

“Me too, I felt like I was in a completely different world, weird right?” He smiled, taking a bite of your cookie.

“I have this feeling as well but then again I can’t remember anything from when I was unconscious. To be honest, I don’t even remember the moment the meteor hit the city. Everything just happened so suddenly.” You sighed, still not quite believing what Tokyo and its citizens went through.

“That makes one thing we have in common. I’m sure there’s more though, so what about getting to know each other more?” He asked, his eyes staring into yours.

“I- I would love that." You chuckled, reaching out your hand to him. “I’m Y/N.”

“I’m Chishiya.” He slightly squeezed your hand, his fingers brushing over your skin reminding you of something you’ve never experienced and yet something that felt so familiar.

What you didn’t know is that Chishiya already knew who you were and remembered exactly what you both went through. The games, the deaths but specifically your smile and the way you made unfamiliar feelings develop in the his chest. He knew you both had your life ahead so without rushing things, he promised himself to make you fall for him all over again. This time, in a world where you’re both safe and sound.

- true to your word kuina found you in the pool but to her surprise you weren’t alone

- a girl that kuina vaguely remembers seeing around had jumped on your back while giggling loudly

- kuina and chishiya watched you play around with the girl but when she fluttered her lashes seductively at you kuina let out a scoff

- your girlfriend then marched over to the pool with a forced smile on her face

- when you saw kuina your smile widened and you almost threw the girl off of your back much to kuina’s pleasure

- but unfortunately the girl was determined to get you

- kuina jumped into the pool before she kissed you with a smile while subtly pushing the girl away from you

- as you were about to pull away kuina pulled you back in and you completely forgot about the girl as you made out with your pleased girlfriend

- after you finally managed to pull away you noticed that the girl had left but you didn’t really care as you wrapped your legs around kuina’s waist to continue your make out session

- after that experience kuina kept you away from the girl that would occasionally sent you flirty smiles but she would always stop once she saw your girlfriend with her arm around you

- you were sitting on mira’s lap as you fed her strawberries with a smile until a guy that you played a game with recently walked over to you shyly

- mira’s smile fell from her face as the boy handed you a bouquet of flowers, his reasoning being that he was thankful that you saved him during your last game

- her grip on your waist tightened as you awkwardly took the bouquet but he didn’t leave as you had expected

- fortunately you were finally able to convince him to leave after ten minutes

- when it became night mira sneaked out of your shared room while you were sleeping to set the guy up by placing a few cards that she managed to get a hold of underneath his bed

- then she went to hatter to inform him of the ‘traitor’ and he immediately send aguni and his militants after him

- while the militants tortured and killed the man cruelly, mira was watching everything what they did to him through the surveillance cameras with a sadistic and crazed smile on her face

- by the time you woke up the next morning mira was peacefully sleeping next to you and the man that had been flirting with you was long dead

morizono aguni —

- you and aguni were sitting at a table outside when a beautiful girl approached you with a charming smile

- she’d ask you if she could take a seat next to you while aguni was sitting across from you with a questioning gaze wondering whether you knew her or not

- after you told her that she could with a kind smile hers grew slightly before she sat down closely beside you so your bare thighs were touching

- the girl talked to you for thirty minutes straight while completely ignoring aguni which didn’t really bother him

- that is until she started complimenting you endlessly with seductive eyes

- her hands grazed your thighs and if aguni wasn’t as observing as he was he wouldn’t have noticed

- after having realised that she was flirting with you he’d watch your reactions closely with clenched fists and gritted teeth while glaring at her but when he saw that you were awkwardly smiling at her while blushing madly he got slightly upset

- but he’s impressed she hasn’t backed off yet as he glared at her

- he’d make up some excuse that the two of you had to leave and before you could even properly say goodbye to her he pulled his arm around you before leading you away

- you would be slightly confused as to what was happening but aguni reassured you that he just wanted to leave

- you didn’t question him and now anytime the girl was around, aguni would make sure that she was as far away from you as possible

- the next time she would try and hit on you aguni would send one of his militants after her in a way that you would never know that he was the one to kill her

rizuna ann —

- when you started dating ann you realised that if you wanted to spend some time with your girlfriend you had to be around her workplace a lot

- after a while ann noticed that you were always discarding your job as bartender just to be with her and she felt slightly bad so she told you that she’ll try and visit the bar more often even though she didn’t like being surrounded by drunk idiots

- but she knew she had to make some sacrifices to make your relationship work so she did exactly what she told you she would

- she swiftly moved through the sweaty bodies to make her way towards you when she noticed a man sitting on one of the barstools

- she wouldn’t have thought anything of it if he wasn’t there everyday staring at you while telling you some shitty pickup lines

- you hadn’t noticed your girlfriend yet as you talked to him while mixing a drink for some girl

- ann silently creeped up behind you before she wrapped her arm around your waist and burying her head in your neck while you let out a laugh at your girlfriend’s unusual amount of public affection

- the man glared at your girlfriend as she kissed your neck while staring right into his eyes with a flicker of amusement in her eyes

- when she pulled away there were multiple red marks left which was either her lipstick or fresh hickeys

- during the whole evening ann managed to piss the man off in every possible way by raising her brow temptingly while she kissed you or by ‘accidentally’ stepping on his foot with her heel

- after that you never saw the man again

- you were eating with a group of friends that tatta introduced to you while arisu held your hand beneath the table as he ate

- he noticed one of the guys constantly staring at your lips which made him frown slightly before he shuffled closer to you

- after a while the guy called your name which caught your attention and told you that there was some food on your lip

- you tried to get it off but it seemed like you kept missing it

- the guy reached over the table to clean your lip with his thumb while staring intensely into your eyes which made arisu scoff

- he wrapped his arm around your waist and he pulled you into him while the guy glared at him

- you noticed that your boyfriend’s mood dampened so you quickly stood up while dragging him to your shared room entirely ignoring the guy that called after you

- when you’d get to your room you’ll both sit down on the bed while he played with your fingers

- you’d ask him whether he was jealous and he’d blush while shaking his head softly

- a smile spread across your face at your boyfriend’s shyness before you wrapped your arms around his neck and peppered his face with kisses

- he’s blushing so hard omg

- when you calmed down he’ll kiss you longingly while pressing your entire body into his

- the rest of the day was spend on your room and anytime arisu saw the guy that tried to flirt with you he’ll pull you away with some lame excuse

shuntaro chishiya —

- you were lounging outside as you waited for your boyfriend while he was in an executive meeting when your friend approached you with a flirty smile

- chishiya had told you that he didn’t like her because she flirted with you but you were completely oblivious to it and told him that’s just how she’s always been

- so he wasn’t very pleased when he saw her practically grinding her hips subtly into your lap while doing your makeup

- chishiya noticed that she was wearing a very revealing bikini that showed her cleavage off and he was sure that she wore it specifically for you which ticked him slightly off

- your boyfriend slowly strolled towards your lounge chair as you rambled to her about some movie that you watched before the borderlands while she smiled and nodded

- when you noticed chishiya standing next to you, you almost jumped off the chair with a happy smile which warmed his heart slightly

- he barely looked at your friend and pushed her away from you to kiss you gently on your lips which angered her slightly

- chishiya swore he could see smoke coming from her ears when he ‘accidentally’ spilled his drink on her white bikini that she had put on for you before pulling you into his lap

- when you had worriedly asked her whether she needed help your boyfriend cut your friend off by telling you that she was old enough to look after herself

- the girl had no other choice then to leave but not before glaring at the smirking man that was playing with your hair

- later on chishiya made sure she didn’t survive the next game she played with him while never directly killing her

suguru niragi —

- niragi often whined that you should have a little more fun at the beach so when your friend asked you whether you wanted to go dancing with her tonight you agreed

- your boyfriend was playing games tonight and you had still some visa over and so did your friend

- when you arrived at the dance floor there weren’t many people because most of them had left for the games but you liked it more this way

- after dancing for a while you decided that you needed a break from the sweaty people that were constantly moving around you so you sat down on a high chair that gave you a clear look of the room

- you noticed that people were returning from their games and your eyes couldn’t help but wander towards where the dj stood

- he was a man about your age and you knew that he was a pretty decent guy so you made your way over to him to ask him about how he did his job

- the guy was very funny and offered to teach you the basic skills of a dj which you excitedly accepted

- when niragi returned from his game he was ready to see you somewhere around waiting for him but he was upset when he didn’t see you

- your boyfriend looked for you in your shared room and the pool before he found your friend and demanded from them to know where you were

- with a trembling voice she explained to him that you should be somewhere on the dance floor which surprised niragi slightly

- he scoffed at your scared friend before he dashed off to find you

- the look on his face when he saw you laughing with a man at the dj booth was terrifying to the people around him and they all quickly scrambled away from him

- his riffle was the first thing you saw as he pointed it to your new friend who was both shocked and horrified

- you looked at niragi only to see him glaring coldly at the man

- you tried to convince him not to kill your friend and eventually you managed to coax your boyfriend by kissing him and telling him all kinds of sweet things

- after that niragi dragged you away from him and you spend every waking hour beside him for the next week

- unfortunately your friend ‘died’ during the next game but niragi won’t admit to doing anything

takatora samura —

- on the ride to a game arena a girl sat down next to you while your boyfriend sat in the front passenger seat

- he didn’t think anything of it but when he saw that her face was inches from yours with a flirty smile on her lips he was sure that she was trying to hit on you

- samura didn’t say anything even though his grip on his sword tightened and just watched you nervously decline the pretty girl who was very persistent

- she giggled loudly when she put your hand against hers to compare your hand sizes, which made no sense to your boyfriend before she intertwined her fingers with yours

- you nervously chuckled while scratching the back of your head not knowing what to do while samura watched you suffer quietly

- then the girl proceed to twirl your hair around her finger for the whole ride and tell you corny pick-up lines that made you laugh awkwardly

- but samura totally felt like banging his head against the car door when the girl next to you let out an obnoxious loud giggle when you sneezed before she told you that it sounded cute which only made you blush harder

- your boyfriend couldn’t be happier when you finally arrived at the arena before pulling you away from the girl with an unfaltering gaze

- when she saw your intimidating boyfriend staring holes into her head while holding his sword tightly she stopped her attempts to charm you and tried to avoid him as much as she could

- but during the spades game he swiftly sliced her throat while you were distracted, ending her life effortlessly

- after that occurrence the people that were also in your car spread the word that samura had killed a girl because she flirted with you

- now your boyfriend is the only person allowed to flirt with you

yuzuha usagi —

- the two of you were walking around the beach while holding hands when a guy accidentally ran into you

- you’re forced to let go of her hand when you fall down with the man following right after

- your eyes widen as you notice that his face is inches from yours and it doesn’t look like he’s planning on moving away until you let out an awkward cough

- the man crawled off of you while usagi worriedly helped you up, making sure that you didn’t get hurt

- after he composed himself he apologised endlessly, telling you that it had been an accident and you forgave him quickly

- he shyly smiled at you before introducing himself to you entirely ignoring usagi which made her frown shortly

- you introduced yourself before you introduced usagi as your girlfriend but you noticed her smile fall slightly as he dismissively nodded at her, keeping his attention on you

- when he was about to say something else you quickly made up some excuse that the two of you had to leave before you dragged usagi away

- you immediately reassured her that there was something wrong with him and that it had nothing to do with her which made her smile slightly at you

- but usagi felt like he was everywhere you went which angered her slightly

- when she confronted him he told her that she was exaggerating and being paranoid before harshly bumping into her shoulder as he left

- later that evening you noticed your girlfriend’s dampened mood so you tried to make her happy by spending the whole day together making her forget about the man

♡• Damnnn, I don't know where to start 😵 he's a clever, smug ass, and he knows it, but I'm a full believer that this man could fall in love with the right person surprisingly deeply. I'm not making him out of character in any way by saying he'd fall in love at first sight, because he wouldn't, but he would have a growing interest in you that develops over the weeks into something more without him even realising it.

♡• You probably met when you both caught on with an outcome of a game, or someone giving off weird vibes. Probably in the Jack of Hearts game? He'll watch the manipulation and secret communications going on, and then notice that you're looking in the same direction. Your eyes will meet, and you'll just know that you're thinking the same thing, which interests him, and he'll raise a brow at you with that smirk of his from the other end of the room.

♡• Your independence and surprising intelligence are what moved Chishiya to wander over to you and make a comment or something about how it's going, and you'll get short conversations afterwards that pick up from there. It's nice to see someone who's not already breaking down from the intensity of the bloody games or is too stupid to notice that they'll probably be one of the first to die. So he starts popping up in place you hang around, just to see if you really are different in the way he likes. You are, ofc 🙃

♡• Once you've properly got a chance to talk outside of the game and form an unspoken sort of friendship, Chishiya finds himself intrigued by your personality. He wants to know how you think. How you feel. What you like and don't like. As the games and days go by, he's kind of borderline obsessed in this way 😂 because he's never really found someone interesting and special enough to catch his attention and hold onto it before, so with you, he's mesmerised in his own way.

♡• You can feel his stare from a mile away and damn he's a shameless starer 😏 and him being him will just give you a smirk, hold your gaze and then look away again. It happens a lot, and it always leaves you puzzled. Or he'll wave at you from a different vantage point of a particular game like he did with Aguni. The other people in the game get kind of suspicious by how you're both so ahead, whispering to each other every now and then and making it out of everyone alive, but Chishiya doesn't really care. He doesn't make his partnership with you in games a secret unless it's necessary.

♡• He gets to that point of trusting your decisions and you as a person where he starts speaking his mind to you instead of quietly to himself as well, and when you're on the same page of finishing each other's sentences, Chishiya definitely compliments your thinking, especially when you pick up on something that he didn't. He looks uncharacteristically, mildly taken aback as he studies you for a quick moment, but then it's replaced with that signature smile with a hint of something more in those deep brown eyes. "Clever girl, aren't you?" It's not condescending at all, it's more admiration and fondness, enough to make you smile and look away.

♡• When Chishiya comes to the point where he realises that it's not just fondness as a captivating friend that he feels for you, it's turning into a lot more than he ever expected himself to feel. He has to be alone for a little while to think about it, since it's another life, another responsibility besides his own, and close relationships have always been something he's never thought right for him. Until you.

♡• Frustrates the hell out of him on the one side, but he doesn't want to deny and push it away either. So after a time, he'll come and find you again, and instead of straight up asking you out like a normal person, he'll softly comment about how you two just work, have a meeting of minds he's never felt before. Not only in games, but in other ways too. He's not sappy or anything, but it's obvious he really likes you by the unusually gentle look on his features.

♡• Just kiss him 😵 that'll seal the deal, and suddenly you're the power couple of the borderlands with a smug-looking grey-blonde haired man who casually says, "I guess we're in this together, then, hm?" in the sweetest and cockiest way, like you didn't just make out for a solid five minutes just a second ago. He's a surprisingly good kisser hehe

♡• He only really won games out of observance and amusement before, but since you've come into his life, Chishiya finds himself winning them in the hopes of seeing you again, and hoping even more that you'll both pull through to make it out of this twisted world and into a reality where you can have a proper relationship. That's what he wants. He wants you.

♡• A lot of people think he wouldn't be into PDA, and I agree to the point that he wouldn't go strutting around all affectionate and loudmouthed with you attached to his hip *cough* Niragi *cough* but I just know he'd be proud to have you as his partner, in and out of games, when you go to sign in for each one. Like the Jack of Hearts. You'll be watching everyone go mad and trick each other, the secret communications and all, while Chishiya watches with his casual, amused expression, sharing his snacks with you while your arms swing between you slightly as you hold hands.

♡• Again, power couple 100000% 😏 he knows it, he's silently proud and smug about it, but again, not a loudmouth. He won't hide your relationship in any way because he values it, but he won't make a big deal of it when the group start asking.

♡• Chishiya knows you can handle yourself, since he's seen you win games independently using your own skills and knowledge, but still, he doesn't want to take chances. Not with you. So outside of games, he'll give you precious insights into how he thinks, so that you can realise things more quickly and win more easily. Probably even goes as far as to help you win when you're sticking by communicating with you in a secret way too. You've got to stay alive for each other. That's his only priority. He refuses to even think about a mistake that could be made, and the price you'd have to pay. It won't happen, not with him around. And I mean, he's a doctor too, so if you get hurt, he'll fix it up pretty easily.

♡• If you get overwhelmed every so often by the deaths and the blood and the pain, like having to take a step back and control your breathing, stop yourself from crying, Chishiya will know straight away. He's not afraid to show part of his hidden soft side with you, even if it's only been a week or so since you've met or you're not officially dating - he's not shy. Just reserved. So he'll tilt your face to look him dead in the eye with a gentle touch, and whisper so only the two of you can hear, "Don't cry now. You've got to use that brain of yours to get back home with me. Understand? Come on, breathe, you can do it."

♡• Behind closed doors, he's a lot more open to affection. Chishiya is the warmest boy ever when you want cuddles after a particularly rough face card game, or just to be close to him. Sometimes you'll talk in hushed tones about your pasts, or what you'll do in the future outside of the borderlands, sometimes it's just a comfortable silence. He finds it hilarious when you make up stories and tell him exactly what you want to do back at home, like get a cat or travel somewhere and eat something particular. He'll be all teasing about it like, "I'm going to be dragged with you to all these places then, am I? Just because I'm a doctor and make good money, you're gonna spend it all for me?" "Yes." "Minx."

♡• He's a whole simp in his own way, so at the end of the day, when you make it out of there alive, you can take him anywhere. Chishiya hated his empty life anyways, so going back to it after all this effort would be ludicrous. He's a sweetheart really, for sure, just give him a little time, and he'll open up to you, be there for you whenever you need him... I want a Chishiya 🥲

- in the car back from a game, u fell asleep on his shoulder and he liked that u felt safe with him

- [real world] once you two were watching a movie and u fell asleep on him, he wrapped his arms around u and since then he’s secretly liked it

- after a long day and a game you came home tired, chishiya was already in bed but you couldn’t tell if he was sleeping, u didn’t wanna wake him up but ever since you got to the beach u haven’t been able to sleep without cuddles

- you snuggled up into the covers and after about an hour and a half of twisting and turning u still couldn’t fall asleep

- eventually you just wrapped yourself up into his arms and then you heard his voice

SUMMARY| You remembered and he didn’t, but you wouldn’t want things to turn out any other way.

Adm Note: i woke up and chose pain apparently.

There is a million ways to say ‘I love you.’

But if you listen, there is also a million different ways to hear someone’s heart breaking, because they are not the one that is loved back. The faintest sound of their heart cracking in their chest and echoing off their ribs, a thud being silenced by the screaming of pain from the breaking heart that now laid in the bottom of their stomach.

Your eyes shimmered with screaming demons, each pained by the sight before them. Why were you cursed to remember when he didn’t? You had promised to find each other and yet his heart led him to Usagi. But you didn’t blame him. she was intelligent, funny, kind, and had everything he said he found in you.

It made your mind wonder; if he remembered would things be different? Would he look for you or still search out for her?

A small smile curled at your lips, maybe it was for the better that he didn’t remember you. You had your time with him, despite the lingering thoughts that wanted more time with him or the aching in your heart that made waves of your love for him flood through your body. You wanted him to be happy, even if it’s not with you.

Turning around you started walking down the hallways, the faint smell of bleach lingering in your nose as the white halls reminded you of when you first met Arisu, the gods were cruel playing with your heart like that.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” We’re the honeyed words that rolled off your tongue, they slipped off with such ease that you barely recalled saying them; you didn’t mean to bump into the man that now held a grasp on your waist to keep you from falling to the ground.

Wait, you remembered him.

“Hi, I’m Y/N.” You greeted, your heart relishing in the feeling of his hands on your hips, maybe fate wasn’t cruel. Your heart jumped back to life when a small chuckle came from the back of his throat.

“I’m Chishiya.” Maybe you weren’t meant to end up with Arisu, ‘I know.’ Your heart screamed, remembering every interaction you had with him. The tension had always been there but your loyalty to Arisu had ruled off the lingering emotions.

You had a smile on your face as you remembered your first meeting with Chishiya in the real world, but the smile had dropped just as fast when you remembered why you were in such a daydream. Standing in front of you was Arisu.

After a year everyone was slowly regaining their memories of the borderlands; Chishiya and Kuina had found each other again, Niragi had apologized for his actions in the borderlands, and Usagi had reformed her friendship with you.

But now the part of that past had come back to haunt you. Arisus eyes were hopeful as he said his words of love that would have made your heart sing a year ago if it wasn’t fixed by someone else. Someone who remembered everything now but chose you when he didn’t.

“Arisu, I will always have love for you.” You started, watching his face light up before you crushed his heart with the next words like he did with yours a year ago “but I’m not in love with you anymore.” and there it was, the hurt flashing in his eyes. You could almost see the parallel of you and him, but you didn’t feel happy he was hurting like you used to, it hurt.

“Is there someone else?” The question was weak in his mouth as he asked it but he wanted to know, even if it only hurt him more.

“Yes. And I wouldn’t want anyone else.” Arisu felt his heart shattering at those words, but what hurt more was the image of someone calling your name and how your eyes lit up with fields full of love coated flowers.

It was then he saw it, sitting upon your left ring finger was a silver band; it was a simple ring but it suited you perfectly. He had lost his chance with you, but he was happy you found someone, someone who loved you when he didn’t. Someone who helped you stitch back together your broken heart.

Watching you wave ‘goodbye’ to him and walk to your fiancé, of course it was Chishiya. In the borderlands he had noticed how the two of you acted with each other, it made him jealous, but he could fake being happy for you.

Even if it broke him to see you happy with someone else.

Rules

-Each round is 1 hour. Players are free to talk anywhere during this time.

-In the final 5 minutes, all players must enter a cell and announce the mark that they think is on the back of their collar. If they’re correct, they move onto the next round. Their mark changes, and the cycle repeats.

-If the player remains silent or says the wrong mark, the collar explodes.

-Among the players is the Jack of Hearts. When the Jack of Hearts dies, the remaining players all survive and the game is cleared.

-If two players remain (Jack of Hearts included), only the Jack of Hearts will live, since their identity will become apparent.

3 actions are prohibited:

No more than 1 person may reside inside a locked cell.

Players may not obstruct other players from entering a cell.

Players may not revoke another's ability to announce their own mark (homicide).

You enter to the arena that seems like it used to be a prison. Near the first few rounds of the game, 3 apparent factions began to form: the group, partnered players, and loners.

“People are really easilly gullible.” A feminine voice sounded by your side.

“Most of them do everything they can to survive, even though it means to go to the stupidest route.” You murmured.

“3 min left until you have to answer what sign you got”

Finding a partner and staying with them was among the best strategies to clear the game. Near the start, it is guaranteed both parties will only announce the correct mark, since lying would draw heavy suspicion. Near the end, should they trust each other enough, they would be able to deduce the identify of the Jack of Hearts from seeing who the final player is.

Chishiya has been surviving for the last rounds good, even though his partner has been really anxious and he can’t consider him for a future use.

And he was right.

His partner decided to finish it all for once since he couldn’t do it anymore.

So now, he had to go with his instinct.

But one duo called his attention. He only knew one of them; Banda. A famous serial killer who has been followed for a time now. He was with his unknown emo partner.

Apparently your partner got eaten by the anxiety too and couldn’t do it anymore. You got no one else rather than pairing up with Yaba. Since his called “secretary” tried to betray him.

You’ve been secretly talking to him since the start of the game since you already knew him for past games. Both of you had the suspicion of Banda’s partner.

Throughout the game, different players tried to pair up or form groups that allowed them to succeed and stay alive. However, when the seeds of distrust started sprouting, was when the players started lying to one another as they had reasons to believe that certain players could be the Jack of Hearts.

You tried to win the trust of some of the remaining players when he approached Matsushita and told him that Banda could not be trusted because he used to be a serial killer in the real world. In that regard, Matsushita came to the conclusion that you could be the Jack of Hearts because he tried to tear him and Banda apart. That was why Matsushita lied about your symbol.

But that didn’t stopped you from discovering who was the Jack of Hearts.

Which, in conclusion was Matsushita.

Since you also asked Yaba about your symbol and discovered Matsushita was in fact, lying.

As well, Yaba talked with Banda as part of your plan, and Matsushita did not only tried lying to you, but with Banda too.

Chishiya also discovered that too, but way too late, since when he started pairing up with Banda, he told him you already had a conclusion since Banda was only “pairing up” with Chishiya to know he wasn’t the Jack of hearts.

That left Chishiya astonished since he’s the one using people? isn’t he? That’s his role. So WHY are you doing his work. How could it be you sorted out this before him?

If we’re being honest here, that kinda annoyed him. And he doesn’t like that.

After accusing Matsushita and being correct. it finally was game over.

a/n : season 2 spoilers (mentions of Chishiya’s past)

It was another successful game for Chishiya, who was now on his way back to his place. Although he solves the games easily, they tire him a lot so afterwards he wishes nothing more than to fall into the arms of Morpheus.

As he was walking down the road, he noticed small stains of blood that lead directly to his hiding place. It didn’t faze him, however he was intrigued where they possibly came from.

Chishiya slowly went up the stairs and the cold air was filled with a strangely familiar, floral smell. However, he couldn’t really tell where he knew it from.

When he entered the dark room, he slightly flinched at the sight in front of him. Blood was dripping down your arms and legs while you were laying unconscious on his mattress. Chishiya could tell you were asleep but your heavy breaths indicated that the wounds didn’t let you rest peacefully.

“Well, that was certainly unexpected.” He commented and was about to leave the room when he suddenly noticed something.

The room was swamped in darkness but thanks to the moonlight, he perceived a shiny bracelet on your left wrist. Chishiya frowned at the accessory, remembering how he gave the exact same one to his lover before he joined the Borderland.

It was a gift for your one year anniversary so he wanted to find something special and unique. Chishiya found a beautiful bracelet and when he went to buy it, the seller told him there were only two bracelets like this in Japan so your boyfriend knew he found the perfect gift.

Chishiya rolled up his sleeve and looked at his wrist which had the exact same bracelet that he saw on you. While he was carefully analysing them both, Chishiya suddenly felt a gun against his forehead.

“What are you doing here?” You asked, weakly seeing the person that was crouching down in front of you.

“I can ask you the same thing. That’s the place where I usually stay at.” He chuckled, amused by the situation.

Your heart skipped a beat after hearing his voice that was strangely familiar to the man you fell in love with, before you were thrown in this horrific world. Without wasting time, you reached to grab a flashlight and gasped when you recognised Chishiya.

He was blinded by the sudden light so you caught him off guard when you threw yourself in his arms, making you fall on top of him while his back hit the ground.

“I can’t believe you’re here.” You sighed, burying your face in the crock of his neck.

“Y/N?” He whispered, finally recognising your voice.

Chishiya ran his fingers through your hair and took in your floral scent that made him feel at home.

“You shouldn’t be here.” He said, gently grabbing your face in between his hands. “You should be in our house, peacefully reading your favourite book or dancing to the random songs you hear on the radio, not here brushing against death in some stupid games.” He groaned, not bearing the thought of losing you.

“I’m sure I’ll be safe now that I’m with you.” You smiled at him and leaned in to connect your lips together.

He wouldn’t admit it but you knew he missed you as much as you did by how firmly his arms were wrapped around your waist.

You completely forgot about your multiple wounds until Chishiya’s felt something warm and wet dripping down his hand and he immediately remembered the state he found you in.

“Wait here.” He helped you lay down on the mattress and went to grab the first aid kit he found in a store, while you turned on the small lamp you brought with you.

Although Chishiya saw your whole body more than once, he couldn’t help but get flustered at the sight of it after you took off your shirt that was practically soaked in blood and your pants.

“When does your visa end?” He asked while cleaning up the wounds.

“In three days. Today’s game was a mess that’s why I have a blood everywhere. The group against which my team was playing would throw the most random things at us and fight with us afterwards. Only three people out of 16 survived, so it’s honestly a miracle I’m now here talking with you.” You softly caressed his cheek.

“From now on, we’ll participate in games together. If one day, only one of us will have to survive, it will be you.” He seemed completely calm as such words rolled out of his mouth.

“We both know how much smarter you are than me so there’s a much higher chance that you’ll finish all the games. I want you to go back to the real world and start a family like you’ve always dreamed of. I’m sure you’d find someone that would fill your life with love.” Your own words hurt you but at the same time, you truly hoped the best for him.

“I don’t want to finish my life with someone else, I want you.” He protested and went back to clean your wounds in silence.

You noticed his bracelet and smiled at the fact he brought one for him as well in order to have matching accessories.

When you first started dating, he wasn’t fond of physical touch or matching couple things but with time he changed, after realising how safe and loved he felt in your company. Chishiya also realised how pleasant someone’s touch can be and how his death didn’t scare him if it meant the person he loves would survive.

Now, one of his hands gently caressed your skin to take your mind away from the wounds that could possibly be hurting you.

“Your wounds aren’t too deep but you have to rest a lot for them to heal quickly.” He put the first aid kit away.

“Thank you, doctor.” You chuckled and planted a soft kiss on his lips once he came back.

“I’ll bring you something to eat.” He was about to get up but you quickly wrapped your hands around his wrist.

“Stay here with me, we’ll eat later.”

Chishiya couldn’t resist so he laid down next to you on the mattress, being extremely careful to not hurt you. You couldn’t help but put your head on his chest and intertwine your legs together. Your sudden clinginess made Chishiya smile and he gently ran his fingers through your head, knowing how much it helped you to fall asleep.

“I love you.” You whispered, slowly drifting off to sleep.

His soft kiss on your head spoke a thousand words at once and you knew it was his way of saying it back.

As long as you had him by your side, you believed everything will be alright.
