The whumpee had been forced into isolation by the whumper- only knowing that days would go by because of the fact that the whumper gave them food once a day. They had stopped believing that anyone would ever help them, and they were slowly starting to believe that the whumper would one day just leave them to die alone.

Okay, delivery dude. Anytime you want to show up is good for me. Yesterday you called three times and scheduled a delivery for today. You asked me (via my mom yelling towards me while I was ridding the house of a very angry yellowjacket) if morning or afternoon was better. I said afternoon. You said you’d be here early to mid afternoon, emphasis on the early. I enthusiastically agreed. Everything was perfect. Now it’s 3pm and haven’t heard a peep from you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying my current position of sprawled on a couch while reading, but I’ve got other shit to do today.

As someone who’s never read a/b/o fan fic I’d be delighted to learn about the non porn aspects of it
ok ok so. The part about a/b/o that fascinates me the most is the politics of it, bc some universes (it’s usually up to writers discretion) have weird like, caste systems going on in which alphas are like the superior secondary gender and omegas are like worthless people who are sometimes literally owned. It’s like they created the omegaverse and then were like, we’re gonna do sexism 2 but this time men can be affected by it. Also also, depending on the author again, because sometimes they subvert this, but the whole idea of the omegaverse is that your personality depends on your secondary gender in like a weird way, and some authors are like very strict about it. Also an aspect I’ve been fascinated by, which isn’t as common but it definitely comes up enough, are the concept of alpha commands which omegas are literally physically unable to resist. Why? Why did we need that? Finally, and most insane, yes you can be trans in the omegaverse, secondary gender wise, it is not through a doctor or hormones or surgery, but just like a specific kind of sex you have to have
