I like how I was planning out a new one shot to write that centered around Thoma returning to Mondstat as soon as the Sakoku Decree was lifted and finding his mom and it was gonna be a bit of a character study with some Ayatoma sprinkled in somewhere in the form of Ayato moping around until his favorite housekeeper returns

but then my gremlin brain went “okay but what if Thoma returns to Inazuma and either discovers that the Kamisato clan hired a new housekeeper OR he gets jumped by bandits and basically angst happens” because heaven forbid I be nice to my characters

anyways if I do write it, the angst part will certainly be either a second chapter or a part two because I refuse to make Thoma happy and then torture him in the same chapter
