I’m am calling the first BBRae book club meeting to order bangs gavel

Now for our first order of business we must go over the rules!

This is for shits and giggles! We are here to LOL, rant, and cry/pull our hair out. Try not to get to up in arms if someone doesn’t share your opinion

No promoting your own fics! Again, this is for laughs! We are all here to have a good time. I’m not against beta reading, but that’s for a different group.

Now for our second order of business we need to decide what fic to read first

Double Date - BBRae AU

Double Date - 02

'What!' Rachel said, fuming. 'You can't do that to me, Kory!! You know I don't like blind da-' 'Dates.' Kory replied with patience. 'I know you don't like blind dates. Or Dates. Or Boys. Or Romance. Oh Raven, I know YOU.' She walked towards her very angry friend sitting on the bed and sat beside her. 'If I don't do anything about your love life I don't think you'll make any progress.' She kind of gave Rachel a side hug. 'I know that you're busy with your work and books, but sometimes, you just need to 'let go' of yourself. And besides, he's Richard's friend from high school, so he won't just be 'any guy' you know?' Rachel suddenly started feeling uncomfortable with the mention of her 'love life', and just wanted to end this conversation. Whenever her friends teased her about the lack of romance in her life -last 'love life' beginning and ending in high school- she always used to say, "It will happen when it's supposed to happen." But now, her friend setting her up on a 'blind' double date was not helping.

'Look Kory,' She started more calmly now, 'You know I love you, I even respect Richard, I mean, I knew him long before you did, but, you know I don't like the idea of double dates, let alone a 'blind' date.. And I don't even know what kind of a person he is. I mean in high school Richard was in a lot of clubs you know? Like fo-' 'Raven, honey, first of all, it's a double date because, we both know that if I leave you alone with someone on a date, you will either sit separately or you will go somewhere else.' Kory said hotly, which made Raven shrug. She continued. 'And plus, Richard has told me all about your date! He says he is very gentleman-ly, loves books, especially your that series.. and he also has the looks!' Kory added with a giggle. All Raven could do was roll her eyes. But then, Kory did something Rachel dreaded from the beginning of this discussion. "The Super Adorable, Non Resistible Puppy Dog Eyes" 'Aw! C'mon Kor! That's not fair!!' Raven said, trying to cover her eyes to resist her cuteness, only for her hands to be caught by Kory. 'All is fair in Love and Peace!' She replied with the same cuteness. 'And I'm doing this because I love you.'

'Ah! What the hell! Fine.. I'll go to your stupid Double Date!'

'Sheesh, that's kinda harsh.' Garfield said making a face. 'Even I hate it when my friends interfere with my business, let alone love life'

Till now, Garfield had told Rachel the story from his side, and they talked about many random stuff, including latest movies, the overpriced coffee, and now about their nosy friends. Gar's friend had got him a double date with a random blonde (Emphasis on 'Blonde.') just because he had a 'history' with one. Till now, 3 cups of coffee were consumed and now one brownie was being shared.

'Well, though she can be really annoying sometimes,' Rachel continued talking about Kory, 'She helped me through a lot in life, and she's practically my elder sister.' She said with a sigh.

'Had some family problems?' Gar asked with a sympathetic smile. 'Huh? How'd you-' 'Well, We all have our own stories..' He said with a nonchalant shrug.

Suddenly, Rachel glanced at her watch and exclaimed. 'Shit! It's so late, Kory's gonna kill me! Especially with the 'Double Date.'' She finished with an eye-roll 'Huh, I can't believe I spend almost two hours with a living human being!' She joked while reaching for her purse. Gar stood up and stretched. 'Introverted much?' He asked, offering her his hand to stand, as he had his own 'date' his friend has to prepare him for. 'Yeah..' She blushed and took his hand.

He pulled her from her chair and her face landed inches away from his. She could fell his sudden hot and slow breath on her face. His one hand was still holding her, and suddenly his beautifully shaped lips looked so kissable. She felt her eye-lids growing heavy and some kind of magnetic force pulling her. Centimeters apart from his lips, Reality slapped her.

She abruptly pulled her hand away from his and kept a respectable distance from him.

'Well, it was really great to meet you, Gar' She said with an awkward smile, thinking about what would have happened seconds ago.

Garfield looked kind of shaken after what had happened so fast and took a second to regain himself.

'Yeah, it was really great talking to you, Rachel!' He said with a cute smile. 'But, I better be going now, or Rob's gonna eat me alive if I'm late for the You-Know-What..' Suddenly, him going to a different date did not feel so good to Rachel, almost as if she was feeling je- No Rachel! You have no right or purpose to feel the green emotion. You just know him from the evening! Though he seems to understand you and be so comforta- You are not helping pep talk!

'Yeah.. I'll get going to. Hope to meet you again sometime.' Rachel replied with a hardly-a-smile.

'Believe me, we will.' He said with a handsome grin. (Are grins even handsome?)

Both not wanting to end the evening, the pair slowly walked to the exit. 'Bye.' 'See You.'

After maybe ten steps away from the café, she remembered, I don't even have his number!

Rachel frantically ran towards to café with a little hope to maybe miraculously find him or some way to contact him in the future. She entered the café and saw a yellow sticky note on the table they were sitting.

I knew you would want my number Rae! 975***** Hope to meet you sooner that soon (; xGar

She smile in spite herself, and continued her way back home.

Maybe aside from the upcoming disaster, my day didn't go so bad. Actually it went pretty great...

Any headcanons about Mari's life at highschool?

Let’s see...

Her favourite subject is science. She loves all of it and she enjoys learning about space, often getting answers right thanks to her mother’s teachings about other planets.

Due to this love, she also attends Astronomy club after school.

She loves having the power to wear different kinda outfits each day. She likes to look stylish when she has to drag herself to school everyday.

At first, she’s totally the kid that’s up bright and early and all ready for school and there on time. But, as she gets older and stuff, Kory has to like flip Mar’i outta bed for class. The kid enjoys her sleep, especially if she’s out on patrol with papa the previous night.

She has a big group of friends but you just know that Gar and Raven’s child attends the same high school and they’re besties. I have no identity for their child but it’s a gal and she’s just like Raven; quiet and prefers to read.

Mar’i frequently sees Damian around school as well but he’s a year or so older but he’ll still acknowledge her bc reasons.

You just know that her locker has loads of glow in the dark stars stuck inside bc she’s freakin’ cute like that.

At lunch, she get’s creative with her food bc y’know, she had mustard in her bottle as a bubby sometimes and her taste is unusual like her mama’s.

She’s a whiz kid in maths, like dad. Her brain is analytical and she’s extremely intelligent thanks to y’know space Princess mother and Batman first protege father so she’s like super smart.

Gym is fun because when she has to do like running or trampolining, she’ll sometimes tap into her flight a bit bc why not. No harm if no one realizes. But you got like BBRae best friend and like Lian over at the side laughing their asses off at the confused faces of their peers.

During free periods, Mar’i will go to the roof of the main building where flowers grow. She’ll study and relax in the direct sunlight, enjoying the breeze and the quiet.

She’s a library nerd. She loves to hang out there and has checked out soooo many damn books but whilst she likes the school library, it has nothing on Grandpa Bruce’s library back at the manor.

I can see her being like class president and shit like that; involved with most clubs and extra curriculum events.

Definitely signed up to a botany club after school. Loves plants and flowers like mama.

*ahem* Voted Prom Queen - Fo’ sho.

Her backpack has patches of space junk ironed on; Tamaran, shooting star, earth. All that.

She gets her homework done before she even goes home. Otherwise, she finds it a drag. She wants to be done with school when she’s at home. Better to get homework done in free periods and junk.

Sometimes, if her mom or dad finishes early at the photo shoot or precinct, they wait for her and they have a walk home together, chatting about their days respectively. Mar’i may be in high school but you know for damn sure that she wouldn’t get embarrassed by walking with them. Loves her family, she does.

Alright BBRae book club we are meeting at my house on Saturday. My mom is making us PB&Js but if you want to sign up to bring other snacks that would be good. Make sure you take your shoes off when you come in and pet my cat (she gets upset if she feels left out.)
