the way alicent was like “the king did not wish for the murder of his daughter he loved her i will not have you deny this” and threatened jasper with sending him to the wall for his suggestions while in the black council daemon was like “that whore of a queen murdered my brother and stole his throne and youc ould have killed her for it” and “we can put every green head on a spike” and in ep. 8 before coming to kl rhaenyra was like “those vipers rule in my father’s stead”
not even otto spoke of rhaenyra the way daemon spoke of alicent....

actually natori has some kind of tracking talisman on matoba at all times. that's how he knew where to abduct matoba from for Operation: Kitty Cat City. matoba fully knows about it; it's why he wasn't at all surprised to find a paper doll in natsume's hair after the mask youkai debacle (matoba internally as he watched it fly away: classic mother hen shuuichi-san momence 🥰). because this is matoba "boundaries? what are those? can you eat them?" seiji we're talking about, he's not bothered by this "violation" of his "privacy"; rather, he finds it fittingly clingy (it is, after all, only right that natori should be keeping tabs on him obsessively). sometimes the talisman gets confused and sticks to yesterday's outfit, so he always checks to make sure he has it on the way out the door (his pocket patdown is "keys, lighter, wallet, exorcism supplies, shuuichi-san's cute lil tracker he thinks i don't know about <3"). i wouldn't be surprised if he's figured out how to uno reverse it and now uses it to track natori's location as well. this may not technically be canon but it is probably all 100% true in an important way that transcends canon, we just never hear about it because it isn't relevant to natsume's journey 😌

Like remember when the Trump administration was like “we’re not lying, we’re just using alternative facts”? And the general consensus was that a country in which two sides could no longer agree on a shared reality because one side could never be persuaded of objective truth by any type of evidence or facts was really fucking bad and dangerous?
I’m not any more inclined to accept “alternative facts” from a religious person than I was from Trump.

i think ppl should temper their expectation irt how much of this first interview gets "debunked" or retread in later seasons bc while the characters in the books are constantly saying someone else lied or was wrong about xyz, that's a really annoying mode of storytelling for a tv show. we as audience members would just constantly be subjected to characters describing scenes we've already seen but from a slightly different angle. it doesn't really allow for the story to move forward and i think so far the show has done a good job at showing discrepancies in real time so as not to do this. i also think it's why they added so much tvl lestat characterization into s1, so the audience isn't jarred when he shows up and is very different. but i think it's best to assume that other than what has been shown to be explicitly false (namely the last bit in ep 7), this interview is for the most part accurate

oh the consumption of wuvvy’s love. how it eats her up inside and rue too. wuvvy wants everything to be just so, to be perfectly right for rue, not just in the physical world but internally. wuvvy would rearrange the furniture of rue’s mind if she could, tidy and clean their worries and concerns, dust away their fears. her devotion is huge and isn’t that terrifying, in a way, to stare into that maw. i just love how big her feelings are, and despite how much rue loves her in return they need more than pure devotion - needs a willingness to come to the plate and be vulnerable too, share her mess with them instead of always managing theirs. but in a way her love for them eclipses her ability to give them that because doing so would be acknowledging herself as equal partner, something she can’t bring herself to do. pride for her love, her capacity to love bigger and more giving than anyone, to bleed herself empty without asking - but rue doesn’t want that. they want someone to build something with, not to have everything built for them. gorgeous, truly gorgeous how oscar conceptualized both of these characters twisted up like vines with one another and then he and aabria knocked it out of the park performing the dynamic which is so understated and incredibly complex. when i say aabria & oscar ruewuvvy deep dive when i’m not kidding!!! i’m still in their clutches!!

i really am so amazed at how different your playthroughs can be; as the dark urge, lialeth really has no time to deal with any illithid bullshit when she's too busy trying not to be consumed by her urge, so she never had much trust in the emperor to begin with, and reading all those notes on mind flayer manipulation at his hideout at the elfsong really put into light his manipulation tactics
it's really funny too, how he goes "oh i shared my favorite soup recipe and memories of my dog with you, i have no more secrets to hide, so place all your trust in me" when in fact he doesn't even mention the fact that he just happens to be BALDURAN i mean all of this in hindsight?? i really have to laugh

2 9 10 samira and 7 for the whole gang
2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
samira is strange + offputting + has the autism death glare but shes also WICKED charismatic which people wouldnt expect!!!! shes great company for a night on the town!!!! there are multiple scenes of various characters bringing samira home to their family and their family just being completely obsessed with her shes just incredibly charming at the end of the day shes my charmerrrrr <3
9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
^ THIS BIT from the heart: the city beneath rulebook. i mean this so for real this is the most samira three paragraphs ive ever read. the labyrinthine <3
10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
i actually think modern aus are actually pretty funny.....shes just an avid caver who works like 3 random jobs to pay for her caving hobby...but also like. an au where the mar does work the way that samira believes it does, where it can grant wishes and rewind time and undo death, where it provably functions in that way because even in that universe it wouldnt give her what she wants. she doesnt ever get to bring her sister back from the dead no matter what universe and no matter how hard she tries!!
7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
jackie -> MELLOWED. OUT. used to be a little pill of a 20 year old. annoying ass funny guy. now theyre surprisingly sweet + considerate + a shockingly just like. normal person. guy you would see in a kroger
emily -> oldest possible vers of emilys character was really defined a lot by her capacity for anger, which has now sorta flipped into her being forgiving to a fault. she also is not NEARLY as protective as mel as og concept em was
mel -> her relationship with her family has totally flipped with emily. og version mel was the darling child and emily was estranged, now mel is estranged (worse. its worse. its way worse. its worse. its bad) and emily is the one still at home. also WAY more serious than her og version.
samira -> i mean this so genuienly the list of ways that mira has changed since her og verson would probably be 20 pages long. can you believe she used to be the fucking MOM FRIEND????? LIKE FOR REAL?????
