little character design notes I made myself!! sometimes when I draw some guys enough I have to start codifying why and how I draw certain things for myself to help streamline the process some

Fibo! - the platonic ideal of a Grumpus - capsule body, noodle limbs - paws more handlike - cheeks can bulge out to make look younger / cheerier but otherwise little visible "neck"

Wiggle - small but visible muzzle, but nose sits "in front" - head wider on top, exaggerate "neck" cinch slightly so boa doesn't entirely cover - "cinched waist" to better imply constant hip movement - glasses arms only when they don't block eyes (prioritize readability) - she :3

LIZ - less cartoony than others, more "animal-y" - feet-paws small, esp. compared to hand-paws - "chin" can overlap scarf, which deliniates neck - more obvious brows - square muzzle & head (esp. profile)

SNORPY - like 80% leg - slight cheek bulge for expressions, but otherwise head goes straight into body - large feet compared to legs - cut off apron just before end of torso - nose can overlap upper lip - hair styled like Floofty, but short & mostly under hat - glasses & magnifiers secondary to eye readability

WAMBUS. - ref. face more off journal art (ie. tired eyes) than ingame model - thick build with more obvious delineation at neck and joints - I don't think I've ever been satisfied with a sketch of him where he's not holding a hoe

GRaMBle - extremely obvious round bulged cheeks - quick cross-hatch as shorthand for both argyle & knit texture - sweater hides divide of tum & legs at most angles - thick legs, big pawb - hat eyes nearly the size as Gramble's eyes - anxiety

Eggabell - literally just slap a face on an egg - seriously I just slap some pretty standard limbs on a whole egg - a touch of world-weariness in the face does help

CHANDLO! - body is a slightly chunky Dorito - wide stance w/ short legs, like a bulldog - squared muzzle, but rounder sloped head (compare Liz, Beff) - hat always at a slight angle, never 100% straight & level

TRiFFANY - very round, friendly facial features, cheeks - built THICC - make sure brim of hat only covers eyes in extreme poses/angles

Beffica - prominent, rounded muzzle w/ smaller tusks (compare Liz, Chandlo) - round torso, tum protrudes over where legs & torso meet - thick limbs, only slight delineation of joints - locket divides head & torso, little visible neck

SHELDA - same overall structure as Wiggle, but less dramatic & more drawn - extremely visible joints - facial features should all be "wobbly"; visible wrinkles - man I dunno how the necklace works just slap on eyes and teeth till it looks right tbh

FLOOFTY. - stout body & limbs, freakishly long arms - nose can overlap lip, but not as much as Snorpy - hair parts off-center (left) & gathers most at right - teeth more prominent than Snorpy's - soft, but threatening - Jumba Jookiba energy

CROMDO - man IDK how DO you draw this man??? - more based on in-game model than others - wedge-shaped; top-heavy w/ tapered torso and limbs - cartoon nose heavily subj. to Perspective Shenanigans - try to keep tusks from blocking view of eyes

The Journalist ("BUDDY") - more generic Filbo (slightly taller) - chronic Mike Wazowski syndrome - accessories (wristbands, backpack, camera) to provide recognizability

Meh.

I cant go to bed for another 5 hours or my sleep schedule will be toast, and its 4am. Therefore I'll figure out this crappy app.

Is that our favorite not-canonically-but-you-can-pry-the-hc-from-my-cold-dead-fingers-ARC-from-the-212th?

Maybe.

I went with this particular shade of yellow based on a wrong quote post I now can't find that accused Cody of being addicted to mac and cheese, which is why he picked it for his batallion's armor. Also started this as a test of wood filler versus bondo for filling. If I had realized I would actually finish it, I'd have done more post-print cleanup.

So far, I have a few ideas about the Bugsnax OC, honestly. I'm just gonna ramble about them here because I domt have the energy to draw right now.

(Be prepared for silly names, this game has a TON of them. As well as a very long long ramble)

Snuffle Snapfiggins(they/them) is a photographer, and they take up just about any job they can. Whether that's digging up dirt for Beffica, cataloguing bugsnax' varieties for Triffany, model shoots for Wiggle, or family photos for Gramble, they know their way around the camera and how to use it. If you distract them or ruin their shot, they get broody. Their camera is their most prized possession, next to their yellow beanie hat.

Snuffle and Cromdo HATE each other after a bad falling out during a job they were doing for him. When he tried to fake the products he wanted photographed, they immediately refused the job, claiming him a cheat, and immediately taking photos to expose his shoddy products. Beff ate it up, and the two still don't talk to this day.

Snuffle has mixed feelings on most other townsfolk, kind of nervous and keeping to themselves, almost hiding behind their camera. It gives them more confidence, to be able to not only hide, but show the world the truth. Floofty claims they might have scophobia, and they're not far off the mark...

Snuffle cares... a lot about Gramble and Wiggle. Like, a LOT. But they know the two are together, so generally they try to keep their distance. They're unaware the star and the rancher care for them too, but they're all caught in an awkward standstill. They'll confess... eventually.

They bolster both Gramble and Wiggle's confidences, encouraging their passions and stepping out of shyness to defend them when the others naysay. In return, the two encourage their photography, and try to help them make more friends.

Above all, Snuffle does not eat bugsnax. The Grumpus is absolutely resolute, instead making bread and using sauces to stay fed. They offer others this alternative, fearing the Bugsnax and the changes it brings to the townsfolk. Something seems off... Gramble tries his best to help them accept the bugsnax as living beings, though. He frequently tries to help them overcome their fear by petting the babies! So far, this has only succeeded with Sprout.

Small facts: Snuffle is bigender, and presents both androgynously and masculinely depending on the day. They also play kalimba in their spare time, mich to the delight of Wiggle, and despite not liking bugsnax, help Gramble build new pens for his pets. They are also a rarer spotted grumpus, and are self conscious if their spots- that is, until Wiggle butters them up and compliments them for it.

And that's it, so far! I'm hyperfixiating so. Sorry if you see a shit ton of this content but I'm. Really happy ajxnckfj

Tira aria di Cloud Atlas da Rick Owens: la sua donna, un po’ dea e un po’ guerriera, è infatti vestita con gli scarti della società moderna.

Frange sottili e panneggi, le permettono di fluttuare tra il tempo e lo spazio, mentre i molteplici strati in tessuti strutturati come il neoprene, lucidi ed impermeabili le garantiscono resistenza, oltre ogni misura e circostanza.

Oltre ad elementi utili come la borsa-marsupio, lo stilista statunitense mantiene anche alcuni elementi di femminilità come le mini, i microtop e gli abiti da sera in fintapelle traforata.

I tessuti tecnici sono anche il punto di forza della collezione primavera/estate 2019 di Unravel, che li preferisce elasticizzati e fascianti, in pieno stile sportivo.

Si tratta di tagli, inserti e trasparenze che danno un gusto nuovo al vestire. Una linea di abiti sportivi che Ben Taverniti unisce ad altri tessuti, come il denim, per rendere nuovo lo stile casual e rendere più femminile, variegato ed unico l’athleisure.

Si può dire che sia quasi dello stesso avviso Sonia Rykiel, che invece predilige soprattutto, come sempre, la maglieria. I tagli sono dunque semplici ma la palette e il range di lavorazioni utilizzate è piuttosto vario.

Contando sulla tecnica del colour-blocking, il marchio francese, il cui team creativo è ora guidato da Julie de Libran, si gioca quasi tutto con le righe marinière, che utilizza soprattutto per ammantare i vestiti.

L’azienda ha subito il colpo nel 2016, quando Sonia Flis, la stilista storica nonché fondatrice, è deceduta, portando con sé anche il suo estro.

Ma la scorsa estate, i vertici ne riorganizzano l’assetto, per dare vita a una linea donna sensuale e delicatamente provocatoria, così come suggeriscono frange e mesh.

Un omaggio all’eredità del brand, che si riflette nelle grafiche artsy, nei tessuti leggeri e scivolati, nel pizzo, nel mix & match di tessiture e trame, e in una femminilità che è di gusto boho, quasi etnico.

Anche Vera Wang utilizza il pizzo e le trasparenze, per mostrare una collezione primavera/estate 2019 carica di eredità.

Quella della sua terra, l’Oriente, fatta di lunghezze maxi e maniche dai grandi volumi.

I suoi capi da goth-geisha, super-eleganti e sensuali, si ammantano di sbuffi, trafori e ricami , che ricordano quelli delle armature dei samurai.

Sofisticata ma senza pretese anche la tavolozza grafica, tutta incentrata sui toni del nero, bianco e avorio.

Ed è incentrato sui grandi volumi anche lo show Schiaparelli.

Il marchio storico del fashion, tornato alla ribalta negli ultimi anni, celebra l’amicizia tra Elsa Schiaparelli e Man Ray.

Un connubbio che vede la reintepretazione di alcuni capi iconici come la jumpsuit dal noto rosa vibrante e i pantaloni alla turca, trend di inizio Novecento.

Si reintepretano le forme e i capi anche da Sacai, marchio giapponese che, forte dell’eredità del suo Paese, mescola sia i riferimenti culturali che i simboli di genere.

Chitose Abe adora giocare con i colori, che unisce in righe e colour-blocking, plissettature e fettucce. Ogni capo è pertanto una destrutturazione o una rivisitazione dello stesso ma anche un unione di più capi, come quando dà vita al blazer bicolor asimmetrico.

A fargli buon gioco sono i tessuti fluttuanti, che decide di schizzare come una tela, o di mescolare ad altre texture, a cui unire capi sportivi come il gilet coi tasconi ed il bomber.

Thom Browne si fa beffe dell’estate. Per questa ragione, avvolge i suoi bikini di lustrini e ci offre una versione pseudo-edulcorata (ma anche un po’ inquietante) della vita da spiaggia, tramite i suoi paltò patchwork.

Potremmo ipotizzare che lo stilista inglese stia riflettendo sul mondo che sta cambiando. Un mondo dalla moralità complessa, spesso corrotta, all’interno di un ecosistema che sta annaspando.

Forse il suo è un tentativo di puntare scherzosamente al riuso, quando trasforma le sue modelle in una creatura a metà tra mostro e pupazzo.

La sua collezione gioca con i simboli, le attrattive, e sfilaccia le stoffe per raccontare di una realtà fatta di plastica, in senso reale e metaforico.

Ecco perché la sua donna esce da un bozzolo e si ammanta di frizzi e lazzi; un’allegra mistura di colori, pattern, materiali e riferimenti culturali che la costringono.

Il finale è dei gemelli di Shining o degli Humpa Lumpa, gli unici uomini a essere presenti durante il fashion show.

beff plays the grumpsims (like the sims but grumpus and also with less predatory expansion pack practices) and constructs elaborate soap operas with her grumpsims and her comically large amount of custom content and mods. every so often buddy and the fizzlebeans get into her computer and make a competition of fixing all the absurdly high poly CC models. (i once found a piece of real world sims CC that had 20k polygons for A HAIR. it looked about the same with 6k polys. 14k excess polys >:( )

I don't know much about the Sims games (they're not really my cup of tea) but sure. That seems like something she'd do.

[ARTICLE] “We all ‘talk’ to each other”, Around US, to  make Highlight even brighter

- Highlight, a good artist making a good company

After Cube Entertainment’s (shortened Cube) ‘one-sided notice that they would be making a new BEAST’, we gave a phone call to an official of Around US Entertainment (shortened Around US). It is difficult to pick up every phone call in a situation where there are dozens of media platforms, but they do not hold back in giving a detailed explanation of the situation. 

Usually when exclusive news reports come out and the companies are called for confirmation, there are a lot of times when they either do not answer the phone or all they say is, ‘It is true’ or ‘It is not true’. There are a lot of disappointing instances when we do not get the chance to ask more things we are curious about knowing the circumstances of the busy PR teams, but Around US does not have any of that. Of course they explain the situation, but in order for there to be no misunderstandings through the communication happening via phone call, they give concrete reasons as well as the internal situation of the company, and even the positions of the Highlight members. When the phone call ends, the curiosity disappears. You can call it an example of a good ‘PR team’.

Truthfully, until a good PR team was established, the Highlight members took a lot of the credit. Whenever an official meets with BEFF Report, they ‘always’ add this comment. “Yes, this is the opinion of our artists.” Or, “Yes, we always make a decision only after discussing with the artists. Our company prioritizes dialogue.”

‘Dialogue is important’, ‘Communication with each other is the basis’... These are the words that I have heard to the point that my ears have been labeled, but truthfully, having a wholesome conversation(?) in the entertainment industry is not easy. When there is no smooth communication between the company and its entertainers, there are a lot of times when words get twisted. That is why Around US is definitely an exemplary model. It is something other companies should definitely model. A place where the Highlight members are the first priority. That is why the name Around US is not wasted. 

On the 10th, Cube Entertainment revealed their official statement borrowing the mouth of President Hong Seungsung. The official statement that started with “Hello. This is Hong Seungsung” only asked for the support of the artists within the company that would become the new BEAST, namely Jang Hyunseung and two new members. On the other hand, Around US expressed gratitude towards Hong Seungsung and Cube officials after revealing the name Highlight. They were clearly disappointed that they could not use the name, but did not forget their small gratefulness in keeping the five together.

Maybe it is because they are a company in which dialogue is the basis, but even their official statements are detailed and also beautiful. They are different from ‘someone’ who gives one-sided notices borrowing the name of the head. It is the reason the coming days of Highlight, who will open up a new future in dialogue-based Around US, are much anticipated.

Non esiste più il Festival di una volta, ora è una puntata di “Uomini e donne” che dura cinque lunghi giorni. Altro che la trap: rimpiangiamo i Matia Bazar, Massimo Ranieri, il Renato Zero di “Ave Maria”…

Dall’ultimo decennio a oggi il Festival di Sanremo ricalca sempre più fedelmente certe tendenze musicali e di costume che costituiscono la spina dorsale dell’intrattenimento del piccolo schermo. Sanremo è uno specchio della società, un teatro di frivolezze, la quintessenza dell’effimero e delle debolezze umane, un po’ come il teatro di Brecht. Da prendere con le pinze o sul serio, non importa. C’è la musica ma ci sono anche le mode, le gaffe dei conduttori, i comici, l’orchestra. Per le generazioni che hanno oltrepassato la boa dei trenta Sanremo è stato il paese dei balocchi e dei primi amori a occhi aperti, l’evento che si seguiva per vedere sfilare i vestiti indossati dalle modelle e attrici più belle su quell’alta scalinata, il luogo in cui sarebbero nate le liriche di quella canzone d’amore che avremmo dedicato al fidanzatino delle scuole medie il giorno di San Valentino, magari scritte sopra un foglio bianco strappato dal quaderno dei compiti. Perché Sanremo fa anche un po’ rima con amore, d’altronde arriva sempre poco prima del 14 febbraio. Che bilancio possiamo fare allora dagli anni Ottanta a oggi, ‘noi che siamo alla fine ormai di questa eternità’, come ci diceva Raf trent’anni fa? Appuntiamoci l’indimenticabile, perché senza uno sguardo al passato non si può approfondire la nuova edizione appena conclusa. Sicuramente da riscoprire ancora oggi è l’elettronica di Vacanze Romane dei Matia Bazar, avanguardia dei primi anni Ottanta; guardiamo con emozione su youtube certe interpretazioni assurde di ospiti nostrani, come la coreografia di Re di Loredana con tanto di pancione finto dell’86, né dimenticheremo mai Madonna, i Duran Duran o Whitney Houston tra gli ospiti stranieri. Sanremo per molti è sinonimo di debutto per future glorie soul come Giorgia, che ha cominciato proprio sull’Ariston a farsi le ossa in un’epoca precedente a quella dei talent show. Sanremo ha segnato anche la nascita della stella Laura Pausini, la ragazza della porta accanto che da Faenza ha poi conquistato il Sudamerica.

Ma c’è molto di più, perché Sanremo è il luogo degli artisti destinati all’oblio come i Jalisse e della caduta di alcuni dei, come Mia Martini, perseguitata da maldicenze stupide. A Sanremo si è diventati testimoni di grandi storie d’amore, come quella tra Albano e Romina, possibili flirt come quello tra Jovanotti e Irene Grandi o Mietta e Amedeo Minghi

Insomma, c’era una volta Sanremo, con i suoi frizzi e lazzi, gli artisti che venivano da Hollywood e da Los Angeles, le canzoni d’amore. E ovviamente qualche scandaluccio, qualche pettegolezzo, giusto per condire il piatto ricco che ogni anno seduce milioni di telespettatori.  Ma mai come a questa edizione si è assistito a una continua, costante critica nei confronti del Festival e degli eventi collaterali al festival, che ha destato dal torpore il popolo di facebook e di tutte le piattaforme telematiche, dal primo giorno fino all’ultimo, da martedì sera fino al sabato notte. Meglio Ultimo o Mahmood? C’è una sorta di protesta all’attuale governo nella vittoria del ragazzo per metà egiziano che canta usando il fraseggio rap? Ma quanto conta il televoto rispetto alla giuria di qualità? La regina del rock Loredana Bertè meritava di vincere più di Mahmood? Francesco Renga è un maschilista? Perché non è più venuta Ariana Grande come ospite internazionale? E come mai Arisa ha stonato sabato sera?

L’edizione 2019 di questa kermesse è sembrata una versione più sofisticata del filmaccio di Pingitore Gole Ruggenti. I nati degli anni Ottanta hanno visto sfiorire per sempre la gara canora il cui ingrediente principale erano le canzoni pop e melodiche.

Nel 1996 la ballata d’amore riuscì a spazzare canzoni dal sound più particolare e con testo sarcastico come La terra dei cachi degli Elio e le Storie tese. Oggi, annus Domini 2019, ballate come Vorrei incontrarti fra cent’anni di Ron non potrebbero mai sperare di vincere contro il rap, l’hip hop, l’urban e la trap in salsa italica.

Il pubblico esulta davanti al tatuatissimo Achille Lauro e alla sua Rolls Royce, costruita sulle basi molto simili a 1979 degli Smashing Pampkins. Poi sono stati applauditi Ghemon, i reucci del reggae ton Boomdabash, la nuova voce del rhythm and blues in salsa italica Irama. Insomma, tracce del Sanremo di una volta si sono riviste quasi con ‘celeste nostalgia’ nell’Ultimo ostacolo di Paola Turci, nelle Anime della notte della Tatangelo e forse nella melodica I tuoi particolari del quasi vincitore Ultimo, secondo in classifica che è tornato a casa con la coda tra le gambe e con il premio di consolazione della TIM. Silvestri e Cristicchi sono stati ricoperti di premi della Critica, della stampa e chi più ne ha più ne metta, probabilmente per i loro testi pieni di pathos, che francamente mi hanno sedotta fino a un certo punto, visto che non ho rintracciato nessuna particolare acrobazia vocale in stile Perdere l’amore di Massimo Ranieri. Purtroppo appartengo ancora a una scuola vecchia e polverosa, che apprezza intonazione e timbro vocale.

Niente abiti da sera con strascichi o esagerati luccichii, la sobrietà Armani è stata scelta per vestire Virginia Raffaele, comica e dall’accento molto romano, che faceva la spalla a Claudio Bisio e a un sempre più stanco Claudio Baglioni. Niente ospiti internazionali, solo cantanti italiani che si sono lanciati in duetti con Baglioni, da Giorgia a Eros Ramazzotti, da Cocciante a Venditti, vecchi miti che ricordano i fasti della canzone tradizionale popolare italiana e che non sono altro che ricordi sbiaditi e anacronistici. Le uniche davvero inarrestabili, più forti dei mulini a vento del tempo, sono Patty Pravo e Loredana Bertè, quest’ultima poi con una canzone incisiva scritta da Gaetano Curreri, che sicuramente sarà molto amata in radio e che doveva essere il testamento di tante battaglie e dolori personali. Questa volta però il mancato podio della Bertè ha causato una sorta di rivolta popolare tra il pubblico di Sanremo che stringe il cuore, che fa tornare in mente lo stesso disappunto del pubblico per la mancata vittoria nel ’93 di Renato Zero per Ave Maria. Loredana è il volto del rock italiano, quello che non si arrende e che ruggisce forte ancora. Sarebbe stata l’occasione per rendere omaggio a tanti successi e tante sperimentazioni che l’artista ha collezionato in più di quarant’anni di carriera. Per tutta risposta, Loredana è rimasta a casa e non è andata da Mara Venier il giorno dopo la kermesse, mi piacerebbe immaginarla mentre si riposa e si fa un bagno caldo, guardando la tivù e facendosi beffe di tutti, pettinandosi i suoi bei capelli lunghi blu. Insomma, questa edizione di Sanremo è stata un continuo colpo di scena. Reale? Fasullo?

A me è sembrata una puntata di Uomini e Donne, con litigi e critiche costruite a tavolino, fatte per avere qualcosa di cui parlare e sparlare per cinque interminabili giorni su ogni piattaforma. Insomma, anche quest’anno Sanremo ha vinto, tutti lo seguono e tutti lo vogliono. Ed è molto più vicino alla realtà quotidiana di quanto possiamo immaginarci. Quando c’è addirittura un Ministro degli Interni che esprime un parere sul vincitore significa che Sanremo è in assoluto la soap opera più amata dagli italiani, che appassiona e commuove come i Mondiali di Calcio o i matrimoni dei reali inglesi. Gli ingredienti sono cambiati ma la sua popolarità cresce di anno in anno ineluttabilmente.

SPORTOURISM - Pesta Keboen merupakan sebuah rumah makan yang memiliki model bernuansa kuno. Restoran ini memiliki bangunan, menu makanan, pernak pernik dan juga desain interior jaman dulu yang kental.

Sebelum menjadi restoran, tempat ini adalah sebuah rumah kuno yang sudah ada sejak tahun 1850. Pemilik Pesta Keboen membelinya pada bulan April 1997. Jika ingin menikmati kuliner semarang di Pesta Keboen, sahabat sporto bisa datang langsung ke alamatnya. Untuk alamatnya berada di Jl. Veteran No. 29, Kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah.

Restoran ini telah dibuka secara resmi pada tanggal 1 Juni 2000. Berdasarkan info yang dihimpun dari lihat.co.id, nama Pesta Keboen berasal dari sebuah kebun besar di belakang restoran ini. Desain pada area outdoor memang sangat klasik, tak heran jika banyak pengunjung yang dibuat kagum. Tentu, bukan hanya outdoor saja, tetapi indoornya juga sangatlah mempesona yang telah di desain dengan furniture tempo dulu yang antik.

Selain itu, desain yang ada di dinding indoor dipenuhi dengan pajangan unik. Belum lagi ada tatanan kebun yang membuat tempat ini menjadi hijau dan menawan. Tentu saja, perpaduan itu membuat tampilan restoran ini menjadi lebih sempurna. Untuk area indoor sangatlah klasik dengan yang telah dihiasi pernak-pernik antik di setiap sudut. Sementara untuk pernak-pernik yang ada seperti pos kuno, foto kota semarang jadul, telephone kuno, mesin jahit kuno, dan lainnya.

Jika bangunannya sudah sangat kuno, tentu menu makanan juga menyesuaikan. Campuran tradisional khas Indonesia dengan Eropa, khususnya Belanda. Makanan yang ada seperti sup ayam lilit sapi pasar karangajoe, ayam asap, iga bakar, beff cordon bleu, chicken cordon bleu, ikan gurami goreng kipas, bubur mutiara, kue leker, ayam asap, wedang ronde, beras kencur, dan lain-lainnya.
