It turns out Haarlep is scared as fuck of the Slayer form. If you approach them, they will jump out of bed and run away and you can chase them around

Hellish beginnings
Tumblr media
Pairing: Haarlep x Raphael, budding Raphael x Tav and Haarlep x Tav
Summary: After you paid the House of Hope a visit, you were gone before the master of the house even knew you were there. Yet, you left his personal incubus Haarlep with a delightful present that they just can't wait to share with their master. Perhaps this is not the last time you entered the House of Hope.
Warnings: none. Teen and up rating. They/them used for Tav, no appearance mentioned.

"Oh, Raphael," Said Haarlep, in sing-song tone, as soon as their master entered his boudoir. "You'd never guess which of your clients paid me a visit today."
Raphael shed his mortal disguise as he walked over to the bed. By his walk, Haarlep could tell how their master's day had been. Not that good. Not that it mattered much to them, but it was good to know.
"I'm not in the mood to guess," Raphael answered, voice thick with displeasure.
"Only your most cherished one..." They said, and their form shifted. Raphael's little mouse laid on his bed then, draped casually, erotically over the ruby sheets. Raphael, who only barely paid attention to his personal incubus, did a double take. His eyes widened. For one joyful moment, he didn't know what to say. Haarlep's grin widened.
"Really?" He then asked, with one eyebrow raised. "Tav." His tone darkened. It was difficult to tell whether he was angry, or intrigued. You very well know that entering the House was forbidden as per your contract, the consequences could be devastating. He'd so hate to have to hurt you, just as you show such promise. "That is quite the surprise."
Haarlep adjusted their position, showing off your features in a different way this time. Giddy, they tugged alluringly at the straps of their underwear. Raphael, drawn in by the sight of you, climbed onto the bed. Haarlep was quick to make room for him.
"You like it?" They asked, rolling over and showing off your backside, curving your back like a cat doing a big lazy stretch. Raphael only hummed, but watched with eager eyes.
"I cant say I haven't thought about them..."
"They were so fun," Haarlep drawled. "Desperate and mewling after just a few kisses. Too bad you weren't there."
"I wonder why they came. If they thought they could break the contract-" Raphael clenched his fists.
"Oh, not to worry, they left without even getting that far. They just had a little gander at your archive, a little poke around the place. I'm sure this is their favourite room of the house. They spent the most time here, after all."
Haarlep changed shape again, into Raphael's glamour, determined to smooth over their master's anger. They laid a warm hand on his hip, trailing fingers up and down the formal doublet. With a flick of the hand, the doublet was gone. Hunger shone in Raphael's eyes, and Haarlep knew just a little convincing would be enough. It would be fun, to have a play with someone else for a bit. To have a third in the bedroom. They were curious to see what would happen. It was one of Raphael's known weaknesses that he got too involved in mortal lives, but this one seemed special.
"Surely it doesn't have to be such a big deal... They didn't do anything bad, after all."
Raphael tutted, finding comfort in the familiar touch. He played with the chains on Haarlep's outfit, tugging the incubus closer. "Perhaps we should invite them for a formal visit. Let us see if we can't talk this over."
Haarlep answered with a wicked grin. "They admitted they have thought of you too. I'm sure they'd be willing to... negotiate."
With his head falling back on the pillow as Haarlep pushed him on his back, Raphael laughed. "Oh, the plot thickens... Why don't you show me what it was about you that had our little mouse mewling, hm?"

The house of hope. Where the tired come to rest, and the famished come to feed – lavishly. Go on. Partake. Enjoy your supper. After all… it might just be your last.

GUYS I'VE HAD THOUGHTS BUT BEWARE
⚠️SPOILERS!!⚠️ (For Baldurs Gate III)
Tumblr media
ACT III SPOILERS, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
Okay, so I was having some thoughts when doing the Raphael fight in one of my playthroughs, which I initially struggled with and kept dying. I was thinking like, if you took Harleps deal and then D13 anyhow, A) Does Haarlep still have your form? And B) Is Raphael mad at them for helping the party and then doing nothing as they wrecked the place.
I came to the conclusion that, Raphael wouldn't have it in him to be that mad since, he's a devil and Haarlep is an incubus, he's aware they're not friends, merely two ends of a transaction. Additionally, I think that as much as Raphael likes f/cking himself, he has grown attached to Haarlep. Then came an awful thought:
Imagine Raphael coming back to the House Of Hope after being alerted to Tavs presence, k!lling them and the party, ignoring all the mess because he's too irritated to fix it there and then- he just wants a break because his plans have been thrown out the window- he makes his way to Haarlep to unwind and just- finds their body. On the bed, where they spend a lot of time. Their blood seeping into the nearby pool.
Just imagine him dropping to his knees knowing there's nothing in all the Hells he can do to help them. That they're gone. That they died defending their space in Raphaels home- their home. There's anger, anguish, greif. Just him telling Korilla to fix the house and leave him be. Holding their head in his lap and staring. Not realising just how much he liked them.
ANYWAY, THAT'S ENOUGH OWIES FOR ONE DAY, BYE-

A Deal's a Deal
Name: Praise Race: Mephistopheles Tiefling Age: 74 Class: Warlock Background: Sage
As maybe you can tell by her name and look she is a bit self absorbed and fancy herself quite the magician, never missing the opportunity to praise her patreon
To her dismay she was not hellborn but had to find her own way in 'with the right crowd' so to speak (or maybe wrong crowd, depending on your point of view
For the past years she has been working as a 'human resources' and 'talent acquisitioner' for her patron, dispatching fiends and contracts left and right when her master is busy with better things to do Oh and on the side she's quite the artisan and enjoys gems and precious stones, she has a small collection she keeps to herself
As you may be able to tell she has a history with devils and getting into bad deals, among others leading to that mark on her left eye. A magical seal left as a reminder of what will happen to her should she fail in her mission

🔥 R A P H A E L 🔥
Here he goes! He's great, he's handsome, he's fabulous and my eyes are dead but it was worth it!
I am so happy to have drawn him after my last festival, to have been able to take my time without any pressure, and I think that is noticeable.
I took great pleasure in drawing my favorite devil  🖤

Lylith Embersong, the Songsmith
Tumblr media
A watercolor painting of my bard from Baldur's Gate 3
Lylith Embersong was a tiefling child born into a traveling troupe. Her mother (a tiefling) taught her fighting and her father (a human) taught her music. Many years prior, the troupe leader had reneged on a contract with Raphael. The troupe leader hid for years while on the run, but Korilla tracked him down. Lylith is playing in the troupe leader’s tent (he was like a grandfather to her) but when Korilla shows up, he sends Lylith away. Lylith eavesdrops outside the tent, but can barely hear the conversation. Korilla warns the troupe leader that surrendering means only some will perish, but trying to escape again will result in the entire troupe’s death. The troupe leader surrenders.
Raphael sends imps to destroy the troupe. Lylith is one of the few escapees, but her parents die in the attack, while saving her. The knowledge “This is what happens when you mess with the hells” burns into the brains of the survivors. Lylith is unaware of Raphael’s role in destroying the troupe and murdering her family. Her only clues are that a devil, the troupe leader, and the threatening dwarf woman are connected to the attack. All Lylith has left of her parents are the red earrings she had stolen from her mother’s jewelry box (red scintilla), her father’s violin, and the clothes on her back.
Most of the survivors from the troupe settle in Baldur’s Gate, including Lylith Embersong. She survives by busking on street corners, playing her father’s violin for coin. Times are rough and money is hard to come by. (It's easy to imagine that if she had been unlucky she might’ve crossed paths with Astarion in those rough days.) Thankfully as she grows older, her skills gain her enough recognition that she’s hired to work patriar functions. Lylith’s skill in discerning people’s intentions sharpens working the cutthroat world of nobility.
Lylith is filled with trepidation when she meets Raphael in Act 1, but she dismisses those feelings as her past, haunting her. Her sense of paranoia heightens when she sees Korilla at the tiefling party. Before Lylith can interrogate her, Korilla vanishes. Her feelings intensify, in Act 2, when she meets Yurgir and Lyrthindor and learns about their contracts. Finally, in Act 3, Lylith meets Korilla at Sharess’s Caress. Lylith wants to grab Korilla by the arms and question her, but knows that playing things cool will get her more information. Korilla drops the name of her employer, ‘Raphael’.
If Korilla works for Raphael, then it was Raphael who killed her family and the troupe. Mind reeling, she goes upstairs and sees the argument between Voss and Raphael. When Lylith speaks to Raphael, she realizes he’s playing her. Either Raphael doesn’t know he was the cause of her parents’ deaths (unlikely that he wouldn’t know the souls affected by that attack), or he is playing dumb on purpose because he thinks she doesn’t know. (Can you imagine how gleeful Raphael would be? To cause a soul’s misery in early life. To be the cause for its burning desire for vengeance? And then to bind that soul in a legal contract? Do you really think he’d ever let her go?)
Raphael offers her the contract. Lylith is upset that Raphael would try to use her after what he did to her family, so she refuses him, but keeps her realization quiet. She is waiting for the perfect moment to strike. In his arrogance, Raphael slips up and grants her the path towards vengeance. He tells Lylith the location of the Orphic hammer. With this knowledge, she concocts a plan. She plans to break into his house for two reasons: to steal the Orphic Hammer and to lure Raphael back to kill him in the Hells (permanent death for Devils). It is a hard fought battle, but Lylith Embersong prevails. She slays Raphael. She’s a tiefling, a child of the hells too, and no one messes with a child of the hells.
