Idk, they weren’t my birds lol. They were on a YouTube livestream from Germany that I was watching last year (I’m from the US).

They did all make it to fledging which is extremely impressive on mom and dad’s part considering there were ten of them! As far as what they’re up to now only the universe knows. Nature can be cruel, but I’m sure some of them made it and are living their best birdy lives perhaps with babies of their own.

If you’re interested in seeing more birdventures, Lesley the Bird Nerd has been posting videos of two black-capped chickadees named Inky and Philbert as they attempt to nest. Chickadees are in the same family as the blue tits from my post, except they’re North American!

<p>This is an anhinga appreciation post. 🖤 They were abundant at Circle B when I visited a few days ago, and although I only had my phone with me, I couldn’t stop myself from taking soooo many pics of my beloved birdies 🥰 🖤 Anhinga were my spark bird (the bird that sparked my interest in birding), and I always love seeing them. It was 2015, a year after I moved to Florida, that I visited Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach and saw an interesting black bird standing still with its wings spread. There was a man with a giant camera lens photographing it, and when I asked him about it, he imparted his knowledge, telling me its name as well as explaining that they got the nickname of snakebirds because of how they’ll go underwater to catch fish and stick just their neck out of the water, looking like a snake. 🖤 Climate change and urbanization are threats to the wellbeing of anhinga communities, which is yet another reason that I am passionate about sustainability. I do as much as I am able to fight threats to the environment, and one of the bird-related things I do is maintain an @audubonsociety membership to support their work protecting birds and their habitats. 🖤 I made a story highlight with some bird content I’ve shared from my birdventures. so at my grocery store i found they had wild bird suet so i started to get some and putting it out on our back porch bc it's right next to my window and i like looking out and seeing happy birbs eating and squirrels occasionally being fat greedy fuckers. but the suet was only just a brick and almost $3 per small brick.

so i started looking online and recently got a 2lb bag for fairly cheap of wild bird seed that was primarily sunflower seeds. well apparently the majority of birds visiting me either don't like sunflower seeds or aren't big enough to crack them open or don't wanna crack them open so i have a buncha unopened sunflower seeds all over my porch. it also caused me to end up going through the 2lb within less than a week bc they would just throw the seeds out if the bowls.

but i recently bought a fucken 35lb bag of seed that is smol enough for the smol birbs and im weirdly excited to see how they like it. but imma be mad if they pull this shit again bc goddamnit LET ME FEED YOU YOU FLUFFY LIL FUCKERS.
