So! Here's the plan. There are eight Zhu Yilong figures and nine boxes, each with some stickers and washi tape. The ninth box is just Nendoll accessories, but there's far more that will go to that buyer than is pictured--most of the accessories are at my mom's place, and I have to go get them. There's also the little catboy figure, which will be put in a box at random. Each box is $50 USD.

At noon (Eastern daylight time, October 29 2022) I'm going to reblog this post with a link to a google form. The form has a spot for your username, a place to list where I can email a paypal invoice, and a spot to tell me which figures you are interested in. It also has a place to list a shipping address, which will make my life easier, but is not required to submit the form. ( I will, of course, eventually need that info if you do get one, but I understand that makes some people nervous.) It will be first-come first-serve; the first eight people will get the figures. I will keep the form open for a week or for however long it takes for all of them to sell. I'll let you know via email or tumblr messenger if you got one. If the paypal invoice isn't paid within a week of that, I'll just offer it to the next person in line. Any profit beyond costs of shipping is being donated to relief in Ukraine. I am willing to ship internationally, and cost of shipping is included in the $50. All boxes will go out at once.

Also, I should warn you: Ye Zun has a slightly flattened back of his head. I dunno what happened but it's not super noticeable.

Alma Madrigal ruled her family with an iron fist, and the little town they lived in both feared and revered the magical Madrigal family. They were known to be kind and cruel, sometimes in the same instance, from their matriarch all the way down to little Antonio, who had just received his gift. He could speak to animals, and they loved him. They also loved tormenting anyone he called them on.

Alma had received the miracle of their gifts long before, when her children were infants. Not many in town knew the stories, only the ones who had been there to see the miracle take place. When others inquired, they were met with hushed insisting that no one needed to know, and it was one of three cardinal topics that no one talked about:

How the Miracle came to be.

Bruno, Alma's only son. The man had disappeared years before, and no one knew anything about where he had gone or why.

Why Mirabel, the youngest girl of the family, did not have a gift.

Everyone knew that to speak ill of the Madrigal family was a death wish. They did so much to help the people in the village, and were warm and kind to those that needed their assistance. This courtesy did not extend beyond the borders of the village. Those outside the town were met with cold stoicism from everyone within, with few exceptions. Those seeking shelter from their pasts were greeted with gentle kindness, with vows of protection and healing, that the Madrigals would be there to help and guide the new souls on their paths to recovery from whatever they had fled.

Most importantly, the small town around Casita - the home of the Madrigals - was a sanctuary for the lost and desperate. The magic that had created the village, that added houses and shifted the very earth as needed guided these lost souls to where they would be found and helped - and turned against any who sought to abuse them or anyone else in the village.

Ruthless as they were kind, the Madrigals used their gifts to heal and harm in equal measure, depending on what the situation called for:

Julietta's cooking could heal any injury - but could become a potent poison, leading to illness or worse, depending on the intentions of her heart.

Pepa's moods controlled the weather; her joy could help the lands grow, and heaven help the people that upset her.

Luisa was inhumanly strong, and could break a bone even easier than she lifted the town's church.

Dolores heard everything - especially dark secrets.

Isabella could grow a mile of roses, with petals as beautiful as their thorns were razor sharp. She also had a proclivity for poisonous flowers.

Camillo was a shapeshifter, and could become anyone. He could convince you that your lover was having an affair with ease, or babysit a fussy baby while its mother took a nap.

Antonio could communicate with animals, and they seemed to do his bidding just as well.

The only giftless Madrigal was Mirabella, but giftless does not mean helpless. She was an expert in needlework, could stitch clothes and wounds with a delicate grace that only added to swirling rumors that maybe her gift was simply using the magic of the village around her. That this proficiency extended to other sharp objects fueled the fire. Her lack of any great gift only made her work that much harder to prove herself as worthy of the miracle bestowed on her family, and to prove she was just as powerful.

Her latest task? She was going to find, and bring home, the prodigal son. Bruno Madrigal vanished 10 years before Antonio's gift ceremony, to the day, and she was going to find out why. The man had been blessed with the power of foresight, the future was his to see, to interpret, to reveal. His prophecies were never wrong, and often a sign of doom or darkness to come, at least to those in the small village. Of all the Madrigals, he was the most feared.

And Mirabel thought it was time he came home.
