Here in the Federal Bureau of Control, instead of using coal, nuclear energy, solar power, etc etc, we instead shoved a human into a furnace to use as a battery. This is perfectly normal for a governmental agency such as ourselves, we swear.

Has anyone been able to transcribe what this document says? Or like, texture rip it? I was so intrigued by it but the text is so teeny tiny and the pencil's in the way! I also haven't seen this document get mentioned anywhere except on TVtropes, of all places??? I transcribed it as best as I can- IF ANYONE HAS ANY BETTER TRANSCRIPTION PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTRIBUTE!! 🥴🥴🥴
As the incident report (PIR-1995-07-091) details, Deputy Head Trench single-handedly prevented a catastrophic containment failure of AO-SNC-0401 (hereafter referred to as "asset"). As research logs show, the asset creates a destructive sonic wave every 23 hours and 14 seconds. However, due to the previous incident with AO-TMP-0014, the alarm timer attached to the asset's crucible had become de-synced.

thinking about how summers must have been absolute hell in the Oldest House for EVERYONE involved during the Northmoor administration days
imagine being an office worker sitting in your little area and being the hottest that you have ever been in your entire life because the Director is throwing a hissy fit next door

You know, one of my favourite things in Control is the absolute dissonance between Jesse's understanding of her powers and the Bureau's. Like, Jesse has known that the paranatural exists for a long time, but she's never really understood it, so when she becomes director and can suddenly throw things across the room and levitate and make barriers with ease she's just like 'oh this is just more paranatural bullshit, cool seems legit', cause this is her new normal and everything is paranatural bullshit to her.
But then the people of the bureau (except people who knew about dylan) are like, 'wait no, you don't understand you should not be able to launch three forklifts across the room at the same time while levitating! You shouldn't be able to throw one!! Northmoor threw a bowling ball 6ft and we all lost our minds!! What do you mean you can bind so many objects of power with minimal effort, this is not normal!!!'
I just think it's neat!
