👣. !!: VLIVE: THE EIGHT PRINCES ‧₊˚
↺ 💌 ࣪ ˖ ∿ author’s note , @ i saw a clip of this vlive in my twt bookmarks recently while i was scrolling through and i knew i just had to make a chapter about it bc it’s so cute 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The live starts with Taehyung casually sat upon a couch accompanied by Seokjin. The camera is set to portrait mode, but the video is landscape.
JIN: “Oh, we’re on, we’re on.” *excited*
V: “No, not yet.”
JIN: “No, we’re on!”
V: “No one’s come in yet though.” *talking about viewers + waiting*
JIN & V: “Oh, five viewers!” *happy boys + tae proceeds to make silly faces*
JIN: “Hello~” *being polite*
Taehyung messes around with the camera angle before both him and Jin begin eyeing someone off screen. Hoseok soon joins the live.
V & J-HOPE: “YEAHHHHHH!” *hyper mfers lol*
JIMIN: *also joining the live now* “YEAHHHHHH!” *checking himself out on camera*
J-HOPE: “Our concert is over.”
JIN: “Concert finished.”
JIMIN: “I am the prince of Busan~”
V: “I am the prince of Daegu~”
JIN: “I am the prince of Gwacheon~”
J-HOPE: “I am the prince of Gwangju~”
V: *after bringing the camera back to focus on him* “I am Geochang-” *literally rambling*
JIN & J-HOPE: “What’s that…”
JIN: “That’s too much.”
JIMIN: *bringing the attention to him* “Hello!”
YEONIX: *off camera* “What’s going on? Are they filming something?” *asking someone*
V: “Yah yah yah, Yeonu-ah, come here, come here!” *excited boy again*
JIMIN: “Oh~ it’s the Daejeon boy.”
YEONIX: *approaching the others + fixing his hair through his appearance on the camera* “Why, why?”
JIN, J-HOPE, V & JIMIN: “You are the prince of Daejeon~”*chaotic laughter ensues*
YEONIX: *smiling wide* “Ah, this is what you’ve been doing? Where’s my crown?”
JIMIN: “You can have Taehyungie’s.” *legit just grabbing tae’s headband and placing it on yeonu’s head*
JIN: “Yah, look at our dashing Daejeon prince.” *grabbing the camera to show a better close up of yeonu adjusting the headband on his head* “So handsome. Where’s-”
JIMIN: “Ah, the Daegu hyung is coming.” *alerting the others + grabbing the camera to show yoongi*
JIN, J-HOPE, V, JIMIN & YEONIX: “You are the prince of Daegu~” *more chaotic laughter ensues*
JIN: “Yah, where’s Ilsan’s prince?”
V: “The prince of Ilsan isn’t here.” *getting up + camera turns to now present jeongguk*
BTS: “You are the prince of Busan~”
V: “The prince of Busan~!” *sitting next to jk*
YEONIX: “Prince of Busan, look at your fans.” *sitting on jk’s other side + shaking him*
JUNGKOOK: *proceeds to break into song + screeching…? idk fr as the rest of the members laugh*
J-HOPE: *to the fans* “Love you!” *making a heart*
V: “We’re missing one person right now.”
YEONIX: “Aish, wait. He’s probably gotten lost again.” *leaving to go check on joon and bring him back*
JIN: “Ah, where could the prince of Ilsan have gone?”
J-HOPE: “The prince of Ilsan isn’t here.”
SUGA: “He went to Ilsan.”
JIMIN: *can hear him from afar* “Ah, the prince of Ilsan! You are the prince of Ilsan~”
JIMIN: *bringing the camera back to face him + pushing hair back* “I’m the prince of BTS~”
A minute later, Yeonu is pushing Namjoon into the room from behind. He’s kind of invisible because of the older’s huge stature until his head pokes out with a grin.
V: “Oh, hyung’s here!”
BTS: “The prince of Ilsan, the prince of Ilsan!”
V: “All right, the prince of Ilsan. It’s a live broadcast!” *covering the screen for a sec*
YEONIX: “This is our best visual.”
JIMIN: “BTS’ greatest supermodel.”
JIN: “Three… two… one…” *tae takes his finger off of the camera to reveal joon*
RM: “Ah, what? How does this work?”
BTS: “You are the prince of Ilsan~!”
RM: “How could you forget the most princely person?”
V: *bringing the camera back to face him after all the chaos*
JUNGKOOK: “Wait, wait. I have something to say!”
SUGA: “Ah, my neck hurts.”
JUNGKOOK: *pt.2 of his lil song fest that everyone joins in with*
J-HOPE: “Let’s greet them again. We’re going to Korea now!”
V: *angling the camera so everyone is in frame as they all wave goodbye* “We’re finished.”
RM: “The song for Fantastic Four comes out on the 4th. Please listen to it for sure!”
BTS: “Goodbye~!”
JIN: *in the background* “The prince of Gwacheon!”
YEONIX: “The prince of Daejeon!”
V: “Oh, how do I do this? How do I turn it off?”
A few seconds later, the vlive ends.

Muselin 101
Who am I: You can call me Muse or Muselin. She/her. '93 liner. Expat. Forensic psychologist and escapist leading a double life. Kpop fossil.
What my blog is: Kpop fandom and fiction blog. Hard hours, smut scenarios, headcanons, reblogs etc.
What my blog is not: A fluff blog. A child-friendly blog. Kiddies please leave.
Who I write for: Super Junior (current active members), SHINee, Tomorrow x Together (TXT), Ateez, NCT 127/WayV. They are my main groups. I also write for Stray Kids as part of the @skzseasons events.
I also like and am familiar with the following groups/idols, meaning you can gush and chit-chat to me about them anytime but I do not write for them currently: Shinhwa, BTS, Monsta X+Wonho, KARD, (G)-Idle, Everglow, Sunmi, MAMAMOO, BIGBANG, Ha Sungwoon, KNK, Omega X, OnlyOneOf, Woosung (The Rose), Seventeen, Enhypen. VIXX used to be one of the four main groups I wrote for, but due to them not having had a comeback together since 2018 and losing two members since then, there has been a complete lack of interest in the fiction community. I will always love and support VIXX and if any requests or asks come in, I will be happy to discuss.
Asks: you can chat to me any time about any of the groups and things I write about, you can send me your dreams, fantasies, guilty pleasures, whatever fun stuff you want and we can have fun together :)
Requests: I will take these if I can but this is primarily not a request blog. I have a very demanding full time job and I can't keep up with many requests. When I do have requests open I will announce it, look in my pinned post for this. If I cannot do something, I will respond to your request and let you know. If you are requesting anonymously, I encourage you to please, please give yourself an emoji or an anon name so that when I answer your ask you can find it more easily and I can create a # for you.
Green Light (What I do write): soft smut, hard smut, explicit smut, angst, smutty reactions, headcanons, short suggestive or smut scenarios, kink fills, NSFW alphabets, Idol/Reader, Male Idol/Male Idol, threesomes and moresomes, light to intermediate BDSM (think light/intermediate bondage, impact play, some pain play), knifeplay/edge play, dubious consent, step-siblings (no blood relation), piss kink/omorashi, drunk sex/high sex(weed only), cheating/cuckolding, toxic relationships.
Yellow Light (I might consider writing this but we need to discuss it): true incest (not just step-siblings), consensual non-consent, drugs other than alcohol, caffeine or weed.
Red Light (What I do NOT write): OCs (anymore), pregnancy related, milf/dilf scenarios, weddings/marriage, domestic violence, aging characters up or down significantly, mutilation, scat/defecation, severe mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia), rape, extreme BDSM (e.g. needle play, mummification), character deaths, murder, yandere.
Anything for a kpop idol born 2005 or after (legal age in Korea was 20 in Korean age, 19 chronological age. And yes, I am very aware that legal age and age of consent are different things. The age of consent in Korea is actually 16, however, the vast majority of fandoms are unaware of this and view smut writing as pornography, therefore the general consensus is that we take legal age as the minimum acceptable age when it comes to writing about idols). As of 2023, Korea is now no longer going to be using their own age calculating system by which a baby is considered 1 year old already even at birth and a year is added to their age every time the new year comes around. Korea will calculate age the same way as the rest of the world does, meaning people born in 2004 are legal adults.
What I don't write Part 2: trans!reader, trans!idol, male!reader (As a cis, mostly straight female I do not have any lived experience of this and don't want to cause offence by misrepresenting). Specific physical, neurodevelopmental (e.g. ADHD, Autism) or intellectual disabilities (while I have a lot of knowledge about these and work with many people who have them due to my IRL occupation and qualifications, I do not have any of them personally and I do not feel I could accurately portray the experience of someone who does. I simply don't want to offend anyone).
About Muselin: I’ve been a fanfiction writer since 2008. Before I started writing for kpop I have written for Naruto, Mass Effect, Warcraft and Star-Crossed Myth. I first became a kpop fan in 2009, with Super Junior’s iconic “Sorry Sorry” and SHINee’s “Ring Ding Dong”. I became a kpop fiction writer in 2020. Kpop concerts I’ve been to: BTS June 2019 at Wembley, Super Junior online concert May 2020, Everglow online concert July 2021, Super Junior Super Show 9 Beyond Live 2022, Sunmi in London 2022, aespa online concert 2023, WayV London fanmeet 2023.

[TRANS] [Kpop Hot Rookies] ‘DIY Idols’ VERIVERY “we dream to be amazing idols on stage” (Interview)
Tumblr media
(Seoul=News1) Reporter Kim Minji = Korean Boys and Girl Groups, including BTS, SuperM, and Black Pink, have expanded their popularity and stage to the world with their unique charms, raising the status of K-pop. And their juniors are now trying to solidify their global presence.
News 1 prepared the K-Pop Hot Rookie series, which focuses on new generations who are looking to be the next generation of K-Pop stars based on their exuberance and effort. Activities with these new faces is the most important part of this K-pop's groups future, it is also necessary to have an in-depth understanding of the group.>
[K-Pop Hot Rookie] Among the series of interviewees, I met with the first runner in anticipation of the birth of a number of protagonists who will lead K-Pop in the future.
The first member of the K-Pop Hot Rookie series is the boy group VERIVERY, which made its debut earlier this year.
The group VERIVERY (Dongheon, Hoyoung, Minchan, Yongseung, Yeonho, Yongseung, Kangmin) is a male idol group released by Jelly Fish Entertainment who created VIXX after 7 years. In January, they released their debut album ‘VERI-US’ and put themselves into the music industry and worked hard this year. From refreshing ‘Super Special’, ‘Ring Ring Ring’ to cool ‘From Now’, polished ‘Tag Tag Tag’ with songs in variety of styles that they continually announce they earned the nickname ‘God Song Manufacturer Group’. Thanks to this, they are growing with increasing awareness.
VERIVERY members had dreamed of being on stage from as short as a year to up to five years while they were living as trainees. In the end they debuted after with hard work and effort, but professional world is even more intense. They had to charm everyone, the general public and influential persons. However VERIVERY would not hesitate and would use this as an opportunity. Gyehyeon showed a desirable rookie posture by saying, “We are trying to learn and make up for our shortcomings by watching the stage of seniors and colleagues.”
VERIVERY, referred to by ‘Creative-dol’ is known for composing songs and producing their own music videos. All members participate in writing lyrics, and some members are active in the composition. In particular, Minchan edits and directs their music videos  and holds screenings for each album. Fans respond favorably. The member said "It was difficult to challenge unfamiliar areas at first, but I felt proud as I made more and more quality results" and in the future, he decided to make good content as his signature.
Running towards the same dream boasting a strong friendship, VERIVERY expressed wanting to stay a group a long time like the Shinhwa and Super Junior. Although this year lots of rookies made their debut, VERIVERY added, to look forward to them as they would like to reach closer to the public with their own colors.
Tumblr media
-Nice to meet you. Please introduce yourselves.
▶(Hoyoung) I’m VERIVERY’s Hoyoung. I’m in charge of Dance and Rap.
▶(Kangmin) I’m VERIVERY’s adorable, cute, visual, stage master maknae Kangminnie. (laughs)
▶(Gyehyeon) I’m VERIVERY’s lead vocal Gyehyeon.
▶(Yongseung)I’m VERIVERY’s Yongseung. Dance position.
▶(Dongheon) I’m leader, Dongheon. I dance, rap, write and compose.
▶(Minchan) I’m Minchan with charming baritone voice. I’m in charge of almost everything including video production, visuals, dance and vocals. (everyone laughs)
▶(Yeonho) I’m main vocal Yeonho.
- I’m curious how long each of you trained before you debuted.
▶(Hoyoung) About 2 years and 10 months.
▶(Kangmin) I debuted after 1 year and 5 months of training.
▶(Gyehyeon) I trained for 1 year and 5 months.
▶(Yongseung) 2 and a half years.
▶(Dongheon) A 4~5 year period. Originally I had no dream to be an idol, I was in high school preparing to enter art university. So I came to Seoul for an early admission then thought if I don’t try it now, there will be no other time. So at the time I auditioned and became a trainee at an agency. NCT Doyoung and SF9 Inseongie became trainees at the same time. After, I moved to my current company and debuted with my members.
▶(Minchan) I trained for 2 and a half years.
▶(Yeonho) It took about 2 years to become a vocalist.
Tumblr media
-Isn’t the idol market already saturated? Even so, when did you think of wanting to challenge in becoming an idol.
▶(Gyehyeon) It was my dream. Whenever I saw singers on stage I wonder, “How does it feel to be on stage and get cheered on by many people?” I gained a dream after imagining myself on stage. When I’m on stage receiving love from lots of people it feels nicer than I thought. After debut, I vowed to work harder. ▶(Hoyoung) Actually due to my introverted personality, I don’t like being in front of others. But when I see singers on stage who looked amazing I wanted to be like them. Personally I want to be an amazing person I can be proud of so I challenged myself to be an idol. ▶(Yeonho) In high school, I liked music so much I was a vocalist in a band. Then I wanted to show a cooler side of me on a bigger stage to the public thus I gained the dream to be an idol singer. -You’ve been actively promoting non-stop ever since your dream debut. What is the differences of competition you think as a trainee and in the professional world? ▶(Gyehyeon) As a trainee we keep going in order to debut. Once being a singer I have concerns about “What should I do to be better on stage?” There’s also a lot of points I can learn from people who are skillful. Of course from the seniors, and those who debuted this year with us when we watch them; we look for points we can learn from to make up what we’re lacking. I talk about this along with the members.
▶(Dongheon) Not a ‘competition’ but there is a difference compared to trainee life. During trainee days, we thought our weapon is to have cool performance through sharp choreography but once we debuted when the members has the camera on them one by one, the balance is off. Thus we put our greed for that down and focus more to have an enjoyable time on stage.
Tumblr media
-Compared to what you dreamed of, there must be a time when it is psychologically hard for you to be in the professional world. ▶(Gyehyeon) More than it is being hard, there are differing points. After personally experiencing myself I figure the stage doesn’t work as what I thought how it would be. I have to find the camera and make expressions, on top of having to move with the flow so there are many more things I have to care for than I expected. It made me think “in order to do a stage I dreamed of I need to work harder and be more familiar with performance.” -If you have any team or individual charms thant differentiates you, what is it? ▶(Gyehyeon) Our name VERIVERY holds a meaning ‘A variety and energetic group that demonstrates a real innovation.’ Just likes this instead of a single image we are able to show various sides us which is our differentiated charm. ▶(Yongseung) I have the most unique character. ▶(Gyehyeon) Yongseung knows the diameter of the earth. He used to dream of becoming an astronomer ▶(Dongheon) Yongseung doesn’t take much time to know about many scientific information. He memorized a lot. (laughs) ▶(Yongseung) Originally I was preparing to enter Science High School. But because I always spent time in my room, my mother sent me to a dance academy. At first I hated it however after I gave it a tray, I ended up all the way here. ▶(Kangmin) I have confidence. During my early stage as a trainee at the end of the month, I showed a basic routine but game my best with a confident expression. ▶(Dongheon) At the beginning, Kangmin couldn’t dance at all but as he performs on stage we feel he does have the talent. Because I think he will do fine as long as we raise him well, I told him to practice hard. ▶(Minchan) I have high self-esteem. I love myself and I love everything. (laughs) ▶(Gyehyeon) I’m good at giving advice. I listen well to the members’ stories.
▶(Yeonho) I’m adorable. (smiles)
Tumblr media
-You have good teamwork/ ▶(Yeonho) We’re good at teasing the leader-hyung but if our teamwork is not good it is hard to tease him. ▶(Gyehyeon) All the members honestly match. Also the leader-hyung suffers a lot because of the teasing but we have no plan to stop. ▶(Minchan) He became a target just by opening his mouth. (laughs) ▶(Dongheon) I don’t think it’s bad even if they’re giving me a hard time... it’s not hard at all. (everyone laughs) -You said he dongsaengs don’t give you a hard time but, do you have any difficulties as a leader?
▶(Dongheon) Specifically, there’s none. I think maybe for joking too much? (laughs) the members often joke around but when we need to discuss something important they listen to me well. Especially nowadays we gained more faith in each other. Back then whenever something happened, I had to explain it to them one by one but right now they would follow through when I said “Let’s do this.” -While promoting together, wouldn’t there be a differing of opinions? How do you solve it when that happens? ▶(Hoyoung) For difference in opinion, Dongheon hyung will listen to us all and find common ground. ▶(Dongheon) We tend to hold meetings issues arises. We even had a meeting until 5am once. The final decision made between us is sent to the company. ▶(Minchan) All the members believe communication is important. ▶(Kangmin) We share our difficulties and solve them together.
Tumblr media
-In order to grow into a global idol what do you think is the most important quality to prepare for that? ▶(Kangmin) Responsibility on stage, stage manner. I want to equip myself with things I lack of and expand globally. ▶(Hoyoung) Isn’t it interaction. To interact with fans more often, to show daily life without anything hidden. During inactive periods we can’t meet often so talking about things no matter how trivial it is.
▶(Gyehyeon) Showing our music. It’d be nice if people gain strength and finds comfort through our music, we are working hard to make songs. -Currently in order to be global idols, what are you working on? ▶(Yongseung) I’m studying a new language right now. Nowadays, I’m learning Spanish. The other members are making an effort too. -VERIVERY is known as the ‘Creative-dol’. It must no be easy to do everything from composing until video producing.  ▶(Dongheon) To be honest, at first it was hard to juggle it all. For me, I was involved in lyrics writing and composing and it was a great pressure for me. Sometimes I thought wouldn't it be better to leave it to the professionals. ▶(Kangmin) Since it carries our name, I feel the pressure and sense of responsibility ▶(Minchan) But after several tries, we have found a purpose in our work. I was scared editing my first work but when i can see myself somewhat improving, i can see that we are meant to do this(self producing group) ▶(Dongheon) During our last single album, we did a screening for our music video, the fans complimented that Minchan’s editing skill has improved a lot. We are proud of that
Tumblr media
-The members consistently work on songs but where do you get your inspiration? Is there a kind of song you want to showcase in the future? ▶(Gyehyeon) While watching dramas or movies, I get an idea thinking “should I make a song with these kind of feelings?” When we came up with a theme everyone will give their best to think and work on it.  ▶(Yeonho) Almost everyone participates in song writing. ▶(Dongheon) There are quite a few songs I’m working on but later I would like to make a song for the members and give it to them as a gift. ▶(Gyehyeon) It’d be nice to have a song where we can show all 7 of our colors. -Among all the released tracks, recommend a b-side track. ▶(Yeonho)(Minchan) ‘Love Line’ from VERI-ABLE ▶(Kangmin) I recommend ‘All I Do’ from the same album ▶(Dongheon) ‘All I Do’ is a charming retro genre song with synth sound. It’s a song I initiated to work on. (smiles) ▶(Gyehyeon)(Yongseung) in VERI-US ‘Flower’ ▶(Hoyoung) For me it is our debut song ‘Ring Ring Ring’. When I heard the demo I imagined it’d be cool for our debut stage, that’s what came into my mind. -Vocal line Minchan, Yeonho and Gyehyeon took part in MBC Drama ‘Extraordinary You’ OST.  ▶(Yeonho) I liked the drama and also the OST then we received a good opportunity to participate in it. ▶(Minchan) I think we suit well with the OST ‘My Beauty’. In the future if another opportunity arises, we would like to try a different ballad song.
Tumblr media
-Something you can’t forget after debut. ▶(Yeonho) We had a performance in Thailand once, at the scene President Moon Jaein was present. I can’t forget that. ▶(Gyehyeon) At that time, we received a watch as a present at the airport. (smiles) ▶(Kangmin) I remembered our debut stage. I was nervous it was our first performance but it was really fun, I felt happier than I expected. We also when to New York for KCON, I remember we prepared well for our special stage. ▶(Dongheon) It was amazing to receive birthday wishes. My birthday and my noona’s birthday has only a 3 day gap so I never really received wishes well, I was moved when fans celebrated it as a special day and sent me birthday wishes. ▶(Gyehyeon) The fans completed their cheering on my birthday and the moment my in-ear fell of, I got to hear them and I was happy. ▶(Hoyoung) I’m also the type who cares much about birthdays, for my whole life I think this year was when I received the most birthday wishes. I fell happy. I want to work hard from now on too. -I heard that you are living together. Is there any episodes, please let me know.
▶(Yeonho) There’s an unsolved incident of ‘Missing Cereal’ Case. We bought this one box of a very delicious cereal. We promised to have one servings each only. But the next day, the cereal vanishes leaving only the box. I only got to taste one piece. (laughs) We still haven't found the culprit. ▶(Dongheon) There’s also the ice-cream incident. Me and Kangmin bought the same brand ice cream, one cookie&cream and another is macadamia. I ate 1/3 of cookie&cream and left the rest in freezer. I came to finish it but it was swapped to macadamia flavored. Only the lid is changed.
▶(Hoyoung) If that person eats it secretly he’d eat it by not being obvious or perhaps that person at it by mistake. ▶(Dongheon) I can only assume it was Kangmin. (laughs) ▶(Kangmin) I think I'm guilty of the ice-cream case but I didn't eat the cereal. (everyone laughs)
Tumblr media
-Currently, you’re living without mobile phones. ▶(Yongseung) Right. We don’t have a personal phone. ▶(Gyehyeon) Everyone gave their phone to the company when we started promoting as a group. And naturally we thought “This is the beginning.” ▶(Dongheon) We don’t have a personal phone but it’s possible to use devices with internet so it’s not as uncomfortable as it seems. -Acting, variety, and other fields, do you have any thought to challenge any of these? ▶(Dongheon) If we’re called to be in a variety, we’d definitely want to go. We can do well. I also want to try having a dorm life reality once.  ▶(Gyehyeon) I enjoy watching ‘Knowing Bros’ and ‘New Journey to They West’. If I’m invited once I would like to try.
▶(Yeonho) I want to try the chase programs.
Tumblr media
-After VIXX, you are Jellyfish’s first male idols after 7 years. Do you have any pressure due to this? ▶(Gyehyeon) The pressure each of us feel may be different however I think we are able to win against the pressure by boosting the atmosphere in our team.
- Is there any role models?
▶(Kangmin) VIXX Leo. Not long ago, I went to his solo concert, during that time, a song called Muse was dedicated to fans. To watch how sincere and cool Leo sunbae's Muse stage, made me thinking that I too one day want to repay fans love like that.
▶(Dongheon) Me too, VIXX sunbaenim. Just like our senior, we VERIVERY also wanted to become a group that able to adopt/integrate different concept
- What is the teams final goal? ▶(Dongheon) Although we wanted to see some results in numbers and prizes but firstly, I want to be with the members for a long time. Although time passes, I want us to be a long running group with brotherly atmosphere. ▶(Hoyoung) I think we are more than able to do so. (laughs) ▶(Yeonho) We do want to get 1st place but we want to be a long running group like g.o.d and Super Junior. ▶(Minchan) To be a senior which the junior would mention when asked who’s their role model.. ‘The 2nd ___’. We also want to be a team that make those kind of keywords. - What is your future resolution? ▶(Dongheon) It is true we are pressured to be promoting together along rookies who debuted together this year with us. However, we won’t get daunted and we will become VERIVERY who moves forward with our own colors.

FAQ
I’ll probably add to this as more questions arise.
Who do you write for?
Currently Seventeen, Dreamcatcher, Ateez, and Stray Kids
Are asks open? Are requests open?
Asks usually stay open. If I close them I’ll probably close the ask box and only if they get too piled up and I can’t get through them. Hopefully if I do close the ask box it’ll be open again in a few days. Please don’t dm me asks when the inbox is closed. If requests are closed it’s either because I have a number of them to work on, or I’m working on a series for y’all and I want to be able to focus on it. You can always check the WIPs page to see what I’m working on.The bio will always let you know what’s open.
Do you take member x member asks? Do you take male reader asks?
Yes and yes! I don't get them often but feel free to send them in. I will say if something seems off in those asks or if I get something wrong please feel free to let me know so I can correct it going forward.
A note: if you would like something with a trans reader of any gender or an intersex reader I’ll need some guidance on how to write it but I would love to try.
Did you get my ask?
That’s a good question. Tumblr is a nightmare so if you sent an ask and I haven’t answered feel free to check in with me and see if I got it. Do keep in mind that most asks will not be answered right away. I always answer from oldest to newest and in general when I’m online and answering a bunch of people send asks. So wait a few days and if I haven’t answered then check in because the ask box has eaten asks in the past. Please be aware if it breaks my rules I will have deleted it.
Did you get my request?
Check the WIPs page but please be aware if requests are closed it was deleted.
Where can I find your fics?
The masterlist (it’ll always be in the bio)
What are your rules?
They’re listed on the rules page (which will also always be in the bio)
Wait, I can’t send fluff asks?
Nope. This is essentially my smut playground. There are some other blogs listed on my masterlist that you can send your fluff asks to.
Why don’t you take asks about pot? It’s legal where I live and it’s not that bad.
I’m from Canada. It’s legal for me too. I just have no experience with being high so I don’t feel comfortable writing that. And for a few reasons I find the act of smoking (be it weed or cigs) to be really gross so I’m not gonna write it.
Why don’t you take asks about impact play?
The short answer is an abusive friendship.
Why don’t you take asks about jealousy?
Because how it’s portrayed in fan fiction is really toxic. It’s not hot, it’s often written in an abusive way. It you send me an ask about this, it’ll either be deleted or you will get a lecture. Also that abusive friendship.
You have writing for Nu’est, why don’t you take asks for them?
I don’t know them super well. I need to have an idea of the members personalities to want to write for them and I just don’t feel like I know them well enough to jump off of people’s prompts.
Why did you take Got7 and BTS off your writing list?
I’m just not super into either group. I’ll usually keep up with their music but I don’t really follow the members and instead of spreading myself thin I wanna focus on the groups I really enjoy writing for as well as adding groups I’m more excited about.

170424 BTS = The 'Dirt Spoon Rebellion'?
(* T/N: "Dirt spoon" is often used in Korean as a contrast to the saying, "born with a silver spoon in mouth." Because BTS was not from a big entertainment company (like most popular groups), they are said to be leading a "rebellion" where smaller companies can succeed.)
After debuting in June 2013, this group is now nearing their fourth anniversary. Just two years after winning Rookie of the Year, they placed first in a music awards show, and went on to win the grand prize at an End of the Year Awards one year later. Now, Korea seems to be too small a country for them as they dominate overseas tours. They are also being dubbed as "Billboard's favorite K-Pop Group." This is BTS, a group writing a true success story. BTS is part of Bighit Entertainment. A medium-sized entertainment company founded by producer Bang Si-Hyuk. Although its scale falls short in terms of other big companies, he was able to lead BTS into massive success, and now leads Korea's K-Pop industry. We've interviewed Bang Si-Hyuk, the leader of this "Dirt Spoon Rebellion." We were able to hear his thoughts, reason for success, and future plans for BTS.
Q: I'll get straight to the point. What do you think is the reason for BTS's huge success? Bang SiHyuk: To be honest, I'm not sure. But after listening to fans and reporters, the performances, musical trends they followed, and the inclusion of personal stories in their music were the main reasons. They were able to sympathize with youths all over the world. Their active online presence on social networking sites also seem to be bringing BTS closer to their fans.
Q: Didn't you also lead the trend in multi-part albums with the School trilogy and HYYH duology? A: Lots of older groups did series albums in the past, I guess you can say BTS brought the trend back. But as much as it can seem planned by the company, we don't rely on a spark (of idea) to lead these album series. We just make sure BTS gets to tell their own stories in their albums. That might be the reason why BTS has so many series albums: putting everything into one long album can be too much at once. It wasn't special planning- it just happened to happen this way.
Q: Could you say that BTS's initial concepts changed since their debut? A: That depends on the way you look at it. Idols rely a lot on concepts and planning, and if you look at it from a musical perspective, BTS did produce in a lot of different genres ("colors"). A lot of people say it's different, or BTS 'changed,' but in the company, no one uses the words "change" or "transformation." BTS's original goal of telling stories of teenagers and young adults hasn't changed. The members simply go with the musical trend and popular rhythms in their age group. Some fans might say they've left behind the "original concept," but for the most part, fans know that they've never strayed from their original concept. Since debut, BTS has been telling the stories of themselves and their generation: the good, bad, and ugly parts included. We never think about what kind of "concepts" to do next.
Q: The members seem quite active in making music (i.e. publishing mixtapes, collaborating with other artists). A: I prefer leaving them to make music freely. I don't interfere with BTS in terms of making music. The company can help them in making high-quality and finished songs, but I don't believe in trying to change their musical direction. Each member's personal preferences are most important. Before anything comes to me, the members would've already edited their music with the producers, so the only thing I really listen for is the finished quality of the songs (whether they're fit for public consumption). There are also a lot of collaboration requests coming in but I don't touch them at all. There's only one rule with those: if the artist contacts BTS and they work well together (musically), then they can work together. The company has never really requested a collaboration with someone else for the "bigger picture."
Q: The members of BTS seem to be very active on social media. A: We leave that up to the members. This also isn't part of a marketing scheme. It's just that the company doesn't really restrict members from doing anything. All I ask is that the members use one account, as a team, and they opened a group account even before debuting. The members understand that it's a group account, and enjoy using it. They all like the fandom culture and seem to be running it well on their own. The members all create so much content by themselves that it's hard to post them all.
Q: BTS has a huge international fandom, but it's interesting to see that none of the members are from overseas. A: Actually, I wasn't expecting such a huge international fandom for BTS. When BTS first launched, I tried to keep the "traditions" of a K-Pop idol group. Instead of relying solely on the music, I paid attention to the performance and even the music videos. I guess the troubles teenagers/youth face are the same worldwide, which is why they're able to sympathize even with international fans. Using YouTube also makes it much easier to communicate with fans overseas. Some fans also try to get more people to like BTS by translating posts and circulating them. I'm very thankful. There was something very interesting that I saw recently- in Estonia, a country near the Baltic Sea, a dance studio added a 'BTS Dance Class.' It was very cool to see.
Q: How was the recent tour in North and South America? A: It exceeded my expectations. I knew we were popular in the US, but I wasn't expecting such a response from South American fans. The explosion of ticket sales when tour dates were announced was incredible, and seeing the fandom spread from South America to the North and to LA was even more incredible to see. I guess BTS really is popular (laughs). I feel like the only reason we're able to be this popular is because another K-Pop star and company came before us. And because of it, we feel a responsibility to open the same path (into Western culture) for others.
Q: How do you feel about BTS being called the "dirt spoon"? A: It's definitely not a term we started using first. Some people might think we use this term (in marketing) to set ourselves apart from the rest of the industry, but I don't like people seeing it that way. To make it clear, we don't want that kind of marketing at all. "Dirt spoon" isn't a term we can deny or dislike, because it's true that BTS became hugely popular despite coming from a company with no special worth (as a brand). Because we started with no assets and succeeded, in a way, the term "dirt spoon" is understandable, but I hope people don't misunderstand that we use the term as a marketing tool.
Q: I heard about the one thing BTS doesn't have- rumors of conflict. A: It's a given, seeing that there is no real disharmony between the members. They all love each other to death. Of course, because there are seven males, there will be an occasional fight, but they were taught to solve conflicts on their own. Each member has learned this 100% by themselves. They all get along so well that it's interesting how there are no major conflicts at all. Maybe this is the secret in running the long run, like Shinhwa.
Q: You must know that as the number of fans increase, so do the number of antis. A: I think there's a reasonable level at which we can accept them. But if they attack us with rumors that are not true or attack members' characters, it's something beyond just being an anti-fan. We've already reported incidents to the police. It's an unforgivable thing to do. The culture of lying and bringing others down behind anonymity (online) is unacceptable. However, people are free to express their own opinions freely, because the internet is equal and anonymous. But we can't sit back and watch people attack the members. We're starting to deal with these issues one by one, even though they take up time and resources. Above anything else, the members are severely affected by these antis- they're still young. They do get hurt, especially when people spread false rumors regarding the production of music and other contents. Our only pride is in the music and contents we've produced with sincerity since debuting. We've reached a limit on the acceptance of these antis, and we will start to take action against these antis.

[TRANS] 170220 10asia BTS Q&A: Behind ‘WINGS’
Source  KRN - ENG © ktaebwi
10asia (10). Your new song ‘Spring Day’ dominated the digital music charts on the day of releasing.
JIMIN: Every time we release an album, we always have the same feeling of excitement and expectation. This time our members all listened to the new songs at 0 o’clock together too. We’re really touched that our song ‘Spring Day’ ranked #1 on the chart for 24 consecutive hours starting from the 1AM chart. Our previous album ‘WINGS’ received such good responses so we felt the pressure too. We think of our fans a lot and we’re thankful to them too.
SUGA: You may think it’s different from the usual BTS style. ‘Spring Day’ combines British rock elements together with electronic sounds. I wrote the lyrics based on my personal experiences, it’s about missing your friends. I thought many could sympathize with this. Thank you for loving it.
10. ‘WINGS: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE’ exceeded 700,000 pre-orders.
JIN: We were very surprised. These days online music sites are used a lot but people still buy physical copies that much, I think it’s thanks to their love for us. We’ll repay by making and bringing you even better music.
10. Last year ‘WINGS’ set the best records among Korean artists by entering the US Billboard 200 Chart, England UK Chart and more.
V: We received so much love around the world to the point of making us think if we could even receive this much love. We only had happy moments. If there’s a personal goal for me in 2017, my big goal is to enter the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. It’s something all artists dream of.
10. What’s the secret to your popularity overseas?
SUGA: We write the songs & lyrics by ourselves and participate in producing. We keep in mind the kind of sounds that overseas fans would love and work on it. We also actively participate in the final stages like mixing or mastering. I think overseas fans are interested in our music because it doesn’t have big differences to the kind of music that they usually listen to.
RAP MONSTER: BTS always pursue trendy sounds. Another thing is that as the K-pop community becomes more active, our lyrics in Korean are quickly translated by overseas fans, therefore the stories of the youth we’re telling can cross the borders and be sympathized by the youth in other countries too. Our powerful performances in music videos and such also play a part in our popularity.
10. Recently many new boy groups picked BTS as their role model.
SUGA: It’s an honor for us and it also feels amazing. It has already been a few years since we debuted and talked about our role models, the sunbae singers we want to be like with excitement. I want to say to our hoobaes that there’ll be lots of ups and downs and worries. It’d be a time when you would be so worried and anxious that you can’t sleep, but eventually good days will come. Everyone is really cool and there are a lot of good singers. I hope they will, too, become sunbaes and become cool singers.
JIN: The most important thing is the relationship between members. It’s important to work in harmony with each other.
10. BTS is quite active in communicating with fans.
J-HOPE: Yes that’s right. I enjoy watching MV reaction videos of international fans. I relate to the fans a lot while watching their reactions. Like “J-hope is freaking handsome here.” (laughs)
JUNGKOOK: I watch MV theory videos a lot, there’re quite many clever people. There’s also a lot of those who got it correct to the point of making me think “How do you know about this?”, and some even make new interpretations that even we don’t know about it.
V: There’s a scene in ‘Spring Day’ music video where Jungkook runs and the members gather together. I’m the only one who didn’t appear in it so there were various theories raising up. Actually it’s because when we were filming it I forgot so I couldn’t go in. (laughs)
JIN: The scene where V covers my eyes in ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’ music video was originally given to Suga. Suga’s acting was worse than we thought so it was changed to V, but our fans made theories about that.
SUGA: I think the creations made from the creators’ point of views are open to various interpretations by the audience.
10. There are opinions saying ‘Spring Day’ is reminiscent of the Sewol Ferry tragedy.
RAP MONSTER: We should be careful when talking. As citizens of this country, we feel the responsibility for the Sewol Ferry tragedy and with the thought of expressing our feelings/our hearts, we donated together. The music video for ‘Spring Day’ places emphasis on expressing the lyrics visually. Of course it can be interpreted differently depending on the beholder’s thoughts and point of view. I want to leave it to those who are appreciating it (the song/music video).
10. A part of the lyrics ‘break the glass ceiling’ from another new song ‘Not Today’ stirred up controversy.
RAP MONSTER: I’m aware of that. I have read related articles and posts several times. First of all, I’m grateful because it’s thanks to many people having interest towards the stories we’re telling that there can be talks around. ‘Glass ceiling’ means an invisible but unbreakable barrier and it started from the oppression towards women advancing onto higher positions in the 1970s. It’s mainly used in issues about women’s rights and recently expanded into being used with minorities of the society. It’s not true that the meaning was misused like in part of the lyrics above. Someone questioned whether or not BTS, as successful male idols, have the right to use the word ‘glass ceiling’. If you take a closer look at other lyrics, it starts with the story of ‘us’. Our music making staffs, including us, put it in the music with the meaning that we won’t stay quiet about the problems or the negative parts of the society, and we will break it and join in even if it stirs up troubles. Especially these days we always talk about the social issues. Personally, I’m reading books and meeting with experts while concerning over it. It’s true that we’re still lacking, but I believe that as we take concerns, receive opinions and rectify, we can grow up. We will humbly receive the opinions and criticisms.
10. ‘THE WINGS TOUR’ have been receiving heated response.
J-HOPE: I saw the heated response from South America through newspaper and TV. There were people who had to line up overnight for days to buy the concert tickets, I want to come find them quickly and perform for them.
SUGA: We have prepared the most props ever. We really prepared a lot, you would be astonished. Those with weak hearts should be careful. (laughs) There are many special effects too. Our concerts always have a story inside, this concert will sort out the stories told by BTS’ music.
10. Do you have any new goal in the future?
JIMIN: My goal is to receive the Daesang again. I think there’s nothing as meaningful as receiving the award after working hard for a year.
RAP MONSTER: AX Hall in 2014, SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in 2015, Olympic Gymnastics Arena in 2016 and this year we reached Gocheok Dome, we should work hard for the next venue to be the stadium in the US. (laughs) The current lineup for ‘THE WINGS TOUR’ includes 19 concerts in 11 cities from Asia, South America, North America to Australia. There’ll be more to be added in later, and we’ll show the wings of BTS spreading across the world.

“What does it mean? Hyung liked to wear dresses when he was younger, right? So what? Why is everyone making such a big deal out of it?” Jeongguk asks, eyebrows furrowed and pupils lurking at an attempt to get a grasp on what he was missing.
The room is filled with thick tension. There are currently ten people situated in the meeting room of the Bighit building, including the boys’ manager and Bang Shi Hyuk himself who sits in silence, arms crossed and concentrating on nothing in particular. Yeonu doesn’t speak up to clarify.
“Why are you not speaking up?”
The manager’s voice oozes with contempt, earning the attention of seven of the eight members present. Namjoon’s eyes hold a tinge of concern that swirls with sympathy as he looks to Yeonu, aware of both sides of reality that may manifest itself in this moment. Yeonu sports a look that hints away at his struggle right now, holding himself back from tearing up, or perhaps even fully breaking down.
“Hyung,” Namjoon opts in instead, and the manager looks over at him, lip still curled in distaste. “Do we have to do the meeting like this?” He asks, starting to turn to Bang Shi Hyuk. “I mean, I get that these allegations are serious, but having so many people like this… I feel like it’s putting too much pressure on Yeonu.”
CEO Bang looks up for the first time at Namjoon’s statement. He isn’t as vexed as their manager, but at the same time, Namjoon thinks he might have simply mastered the art of masking his true emotions. The male lifts his glasses to rub his eyes, mumbling a tired agreement that hasn’t bordered on an order just yet.
“Too much pressure? He- she’s under too much pressure? We don’t even know what this thing is!” Choi Gyuin seethes, pointing at Yeonu, and it would seem that such a statement was all it would take to break the dam and have the rain falling. Yeonu’s hand slams onto the oakwood desk separating himself and his members from Bang Shi Hyuk and Gyuin standing behind him on the opposite end.
“This thing,” Yeonu growls, angry red tears burning, streaming down his face, “is any ordinary man just like you! What’s so different about you and me? Look at yourself, look at me. What’s the difference?” He asks, and his voice cracks a little, face tingeing pink in colour as he waits for a response—everyone’s eyes are on him. Namjoon’s eyes are on him, Jeongguk’s eyes are on him, and so are Yoongi’s and Seokjin’s. Taehyung, Hoseok and Jimin stare at him too, entirely dumbfounded at his outburst.
What was going on? Why is everything so tensed? Why is Yeonu so heart stricken?
In the midst of Gyuin’s speechlessness, it is Yoongi that strives forward first, hand resting on Yeonu’s back as he rubs gently, unbothered at the reactions of others. This singular gesture is what snaps their manager out of his shock, teeth gritting, a baffled laugh following thereafter. “W-what’s the difference? Is he- she- whatever you are! Are you being serious?”
He asks this in a manner that tries to come off as obvious, but no one is playing into his games, not even CEO Bang. “Hyung-nim, at least you must see the problem, right? If Yeonu really turns out to be transsexual then the entire group will be put into jeopardy!” He exclaims, talking to Shi Hyuk. “I mean, this is a boy band. What would it mean if we have a transsexual in it? The rebranding will cost us a fortune, and that’s not even taking into account the uproar from fans-” and he just keeps going like this.
Talking and talking and talking, and it’s just as Yoongi opens his mouth to spit a cunning remark that someone else decides to beat him to it, shutting the whole room down with his outrage.
“Aish… just shut the fuck up, you bastard!”
It’s CEO Bang losing his composure. He has a heavy frown line stretched across his forehead and he looks up at Gyuin behind him for a brief moment before waving him away. “Get out. I don’t want to hear from you anymore.” He says simply. Even Yeonu is startled by the events unfolding. Gyuin stands there, blinking, and then he laughs, bending over to reach Shi Hyuk’s height who was sat in his seat.
“Ah, hyung-nim, I think you’re losing your cool at the wrong-”
“What did I say, huh? Have you suddenly gone deaf?” Shi Hyuk queries, turning to face Gyuin again. This time the male can quite clearly see the fury burning within his eyes as he goes to speak again. “I won’t tell you again. Get lost before I fire you right here.” He grumbles, and finally, this is enough to have Gyuin stand up straight with a polite smile, nodding.
Yoongi personally can’t help the smirk that slips itself onto his features then, seeing Gyuin glance at all of the boys with clear rage as he makes his leave. Yeonu watches after him too before turning back to Shi Hyuk.
“Yeonu-ah, be honest with me.” The elder starts, and his posture shifts, showcasing his fatigue towards this situation. “Are the rumours true? Just tell me honestly and we’ll figure it out.” He says, and surprisingly for Yeonu, his voice is gentle, almost understanding. He looks around at his members who surround him from either side, nerves now cold and chilly.
Some of them still seem confused, having grasped barely anything from the fight that had actively broken out, but when Yeonu eyes Namjoon and Yoongi specifically, their expressions seem… encouraging. Yoongi’s thumb caresses Yeonu’s upper spine before he pulls away, waiting patiently.
Yeonu wishes it was easy. Actually, he wishes he had a choice in the matter at all instead of being put under pressure like this, but as he stares at Shi Hyuk, he knows he needs to make this move. If not now, then when? Wouldn’t it be better to at least come out to some people? To the ones he can at least have a glimmer of hope that they’d accept him?
Yeonu’s eyes cast themselves down to his fingers as they splay across the edge of the table. “I…” His throat constricts, absolutely terrified. What if they didn’t accept him? What if he was kicked out of the group immediately upon coming out?
“If it makes you feel better, whatever it is, I’m not going to see you any different from the guy who tried to juggle dumplings to make a good first impression on me.” Taehyung’s deep voice reassures upon noticing Yeonu’s hesitance, and when Yeonu glances over at him, all he’s presented with is a warm boxy smile that never falters once. He’s presented with a glimpse of home.
A small, almost thankful smile of his own slips its way onto Yeonu’s face, and he sighs, trying to come to terms with himself before finally holding his head up—not completely confident, but firm enough to grasp at the straws that help him spit his next words out.
“The rumours… well, they’re true.” He says quietly, voice a little shaky, and his body is tense, stiff as a stick. He did it. “I-I’m transgender. I wasn’t- you know, I wasn’t always a boy. I wasn’t born a boy, but that doesn’t make me any less of one. That’s all.”
As he wipes his tears away, his head bows once more, and the thumping of his heart beats deafeningly deep in his ears due to the silence that follows his admittance. He doesn’t want to look up now, isn’t sure if this silence is good or bad and he honestly doesn’t know how he would cope if the outcome of this turned out to be bad.
Just a few more seconds. He tells himself, but he can feel the beginnings of bile rise in the back of his throat. Why won’t any of you say anything?
“I don’t get it.” Jeongguk’s quiet, confused, and frankly shaky voice is the first to speak up. Yeonu’s heart clenches at the hesitance in his maknae’s approach, but he tilts his head just enough in the male’s direction to show he’s listening. “Hyung, what do you mean? How can you not be born a boy? You look like a boy. You are a boy, aren’t you?” He looks at the other members, hoping to receive clarification from any one of them, but no one knows what to say.
“I am,” Yeonu starts, soft, “But my body wasn’t. I was born in the wrong body, Jeongguk-ah. I was born in the body of a woman and… that wasn’t me.”
The truth tastes bitter on his tongue, finally coming out of living in stealth to a group of guys he considers his best friends and his CEO that held the power to tip the scales of fate one way or another in his name. There’s another period of silence, and then—
“That’s okay.”
Yeonu’s head whips around to look at Taehyung who returns his gaze genuinely, showcasing words that he means. Soon, a reassuring smile presents itself on his lips and he reaches his fingers out to grasp at the sleeve of Yeonu’s top.
“You’re a guy now, right? It doesn’t matter what happened in your past or how you were born. You said you’re a guy. That’s all that matters.” He explains, and Shi Hyuk watches this interaction play out with curiosity, almost as if getting an idea of how the group dynamics may change because of this information.
It doesn’t seem to have shifted much on Taehyung’s end and Jimin, hearing Taehyung’s affirming words, also starts to speak up, adjusting himself in his seat.
“H-he’s right, Yeo. The three of us have been by each other’s sides through everything.” Jimin recalls, shuffling closer to Taehyung who is closer to Yeonu. “Soulmates until the very end. How can we let such a sacred oath be broken? No, you’re stuck with us for life.”
And like that, more and more of the members begin letting out sentiments of their own in support for Yeonu. It isn’t completely without the uncertainty of the group’s future underlying their emotions, but it’s enough to settle Yeonu’s stomach so that he can finally sit back down once again, tears pooling at his eyes.
This had been more than what he could have ever hoped for. The Bangtan he had grown to love had lent their hand out in a time of need. Yoongi shifts in his seat, leaning in to whisper something into the male’s ear.
“I’ve got a cousin who’s trans.” He reveals, avoiding eye contact as he usually does, and Yeonu’s eyes widen slightly at the news, looking over at the male. “Queer people have been amongst us since the beginning of time, but it still takes a lot of guts to come out of hiding like this. I’m proud of you, kid.”
And there he goes with the whole ‘kid’ thing… ah, Yeonu can’t help but to roll his eyes playfully, a light, choked chuckle leaving his lips. “Thanks, hyung.”
As the members discuss this newfound trust put forth by Yeonu’s revealation, Bang Shi Hyuk analyses the members, adjusting his glasses with a clearing of his throat, but as he goes to speak, another member whose voice hadn’t spoken up with a supportive sentiment does so instead, shocking surrounding parties.
“What? Why… why are we all just pretending as if this isn’t a big deal?”
Everyone’s heads turn to Jeongguk, who avoids eye contact as he tries to rein in his thoughts and feelings. No one had expected him of all people to seem so… betrayed, even sounding resentful, giving the maknae time to continue his point.
“He-he lied to us! We shouldn’t even- you were born a woman?” He asks, although it would seem the question was more so directed to himself, as if he were thinking out loud. His views have taken a complete turn, going from confused anxiety to downright denial. “That means I should call you noona. If you were born a woman-”
“I was born a baby.” Yeonu interjects sharply, already sensing where this was going, and Yoongi can’t help the small smile that slips onto his lips at the cunning remark. Jeongguk doesn’t seem to have caught his words.
“Women don’t have penises. You don’t have a penis. You can’t be a man if you don’t have a penis!” Jeongguk exclaims, dumbfounded. His emotions are all over the place; eyes blinking back tears forcefully, bottom lip quivering. “How could you- how could you do that? You lied to me! Y-you lied to us!”
Inhaling starts to become a difficult task the more Jeongguk continues his speech. Yeonu’s heart tugs and squeezes tightly, leaving an uncomfortable lump in his throat watching their youngest member break down like this, unable to comprehend so much in so little time.
“I had to.” Are the first words to come out of Yeonu’s mouth. He’s trying to be the bigger person, trying to keep his composure in check but he fails. “Things like getting changed… simple things like these come easy to you. You take it for granted, but for me? I have to take extra measures just to be safe. I had to change separately from the rest of you, I always had to be careful this exact fucking situation wouldn’t take place, Jeongguk-ah. And do you know why that is? Because people with your views aren’t very accommodating!” Yeonu vents, nostrils flaring, voice tethering on the edge of a growl. Jimin senses the male’s growing frustration, and being one of the members with the best know-how of comforting a friend in need, he’s able to slide over to Taehyung’s previous spot as said male moves out of the way.
Jeongguk, on the other hand, doesn’t let up.
“What do you gain out of pretending?! Why can’t you just be a girl if-”
“Enough.” Namjoon cuts in, a warning tone—his leader tone seeping into the conversation upon hearing the vile and ignorant comments leaving Jeongguk’s lips like a bullet train with no sign of stopping. The maknae’s eyebrows form a deep frown, looking to Namjoon and then the rest of the members before coming to the conclusion that they quite clearly saw him as the enemy and not Yeonu.
Their disapproving stares said it all, but why was he in the wrong? He wasn’t the one lying to the group for years!
“W-whatever! You shouldn’t have lied. You’re not my hyung.” He says with finality aimed at Yeonu, and before anyone is able to scold or demand an apology in Yeonu’s place, Jeongguk is already storming out of the meeting room without another word, sniffles following.
It takes him a minute to register those words—something he had never even dreamt of ever hearing in his worst nightmares had come straight out of the mouth of his only dongsaeng. Yeonu rubs his face harshly at this, head coming down to rest on the palms of his hands with thoughts ever consuming.
“What the hell is wrong with him?” Namjoon grumbles, but he looks over at Seokjin with a silent plea, asking him to go check on the male. The eldest of the bunch nods once, eyes shifting to Yeonu as he stands up before leaving.
“Don’t take him too seriously, Yeonu-ah. He probably just needs time to adjust to the news.” Hoseok tries to comfort in the midst of Jimin rubbing his back. The others affirm his statement, coming together to lift the younger’s spirits.
“It’s because this is new to him. He’ll come around.” Yoongi states, having bared witness to a similar sequence of events back at home. Yeonu’s fingers tug on the roots of his hair, but he sighs. He’s just so, so tired.
“Well,” Shi Hyuk starts, earning the attention of all of the current members present, “I was going to say that everyone seemed to take this news rather well, but with Jeongguk’s outburst, I believe some steps may need to be taken or else the group is at risk of falling apart.”
It’s a logical observation from their CEO, but that doesn’t stop Yeonu’s heart from clenching with a wave of oncoming stress—he didn’t want to be the reason for his members’ careers going down the drain. That’s the last thing he could ever want.
“I’ll do something about it. I-I’ll talk to him.” Yeonu says, but he doesn’t sound particularly confident in himself. He couldn’t even keep himself composed long enough to make Jeongguk see a smidgen of sense.
Taehyung slams his hand down on the desk in front of Yeonu, looking over at him. “I’ll help.”
“I’ll help too.” Jimin declares, placing his hand on the table beside Taehyung’s. The rest of the members also join and seeing so many hands of support settled in front of him… he could probably cry for the third time that day as he also moves his hand forward, joining the circle in its entirety.
“This is to bridging a minor fork in the road of Bangtan’s journey.” Namjoon informs, and on the count of three, the boys lift their hands at once.
“To bridging a minor fork in the road of Bangtan’s journey!”

👣. !!: YEONU WITH HYBE STAFF ‧₊˚
↺ 💌 ࣪ ˖ ∿ author’s note , @ tw for brief mentions of mistreatment by staff, and p.s. i cannot wait to write about yeonu and lee guwon lol his fc is 😍 and i’ve been fixating on him a lot recently
Tumblr media
⊂ THE ✶ MANAGERS ⊃
Tumblr media
YEONU’S RELATIONSHIP WITH Bangtan’s managers are a… little strained, to say the least. Depending on which manager you’re querying about, you’re bound to get a different answer. If you’re talking about Manager Sejin, then well Yeonu can quite comfortably say that this man had probably been one of few in an authoritative position that chose to be by his side through the thick and thin of his career.
IF YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT Manager Hobeom, Yeonu can vouch for him too. These two were a dime a dozen—they were almost like father figures to Yeonu when his actual father couldn’t always be there to support him. They were the ones to take time out of their already busy schedules to rein in the press, suing those that attempted to defame a member under their care for malicious intent.
IF YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT any of the group’s previous managers… then Yeonu would much rather cease to remember them altogether as their goal seemed to align more with the netizens of ill will, always belittling him, invalidating his identity and even going as far as to threaten to hit other members. This had been earlier on into their debut and Yeonu, as well as the rest of Bangtan, didn’t wish to cause trouble and problems for everyone so kept quiet about it.
LATER DOWN THE LINE, THE truth would unravel itself into the spotlight. Footage of members being picked on by these managers and comments that would be made behind their back quickly made its way into the capable hands of ARMY, and they were never one to keep quiet about the mistreatment of their boys, leading to the company announcing a whole statement about the issue and firing the managers involved.
YEONU HOPES BANGTAN’S current line of managers are able to stay with him for a long time.
⊂ THE ✶ STYLISTS ⊃
Tumblr media
YEONU WOULD SAY he probably has the most playful relationship with his stylists at HYBE as they absolutely adore him. He isn’t always the type to sit still ( which of course is a nightmare ), but Yeonu is polite and talkative with them, asking about their day or how they slept, what they were getting up to at home. These sorts of conversations that sparked connections of friendship meant Yeonu was a stylist favourite.
AND FOR YEONU whose short height sometimes garnered insecurity, he was reminded of how much easier it makes the job of the stylists as they didn’t need to stand on their tip toes due to monster giants like Kim Namjoon. They would remind him of how handsome he was, affirming his identity and even going out of their way to make his birthdays special if they could by buying him chocolates or cashing in together to buy an expensive sweater.
THEY WERE SERIOUSLY like Yeonu’s proper friends. He knew he could trust them with his personal matters—nothing too sensitive, but hints about his love life or simply swooning at the idea of dating pretty celebrities. They had an idea of him being, well, something other than straight, but they never judged him. It felt as if they were the most open minded people within the staff directory and he couldn’t feel more at home with them.
ONE LAST IMPORTANT thing about Yeonu though, is that he’s a particularly strong chick ( and guy ) magnet. He doesn’t have to speak words to make audiences smitten, and his irresistible charm cannot be ignored even by platonic parties that blush and flick his forehead whenever he gets too cheeky.
⊂ THE ✶ CHOREOGRAPHERS ⊃
Tumblr media
FOR A BOY WHOSE main passion is dance, sticking him in a room full of choreographers couldn’t be a more fitting dream. Honestly though, he doesn’t have to have a proper fixed schedule with these guys to be caught in the presence of their company, because whatever spare time he does have he spends on either music or dance. Yeonu has a lot of HYBE’s choreographers’ numbers, and so he will often call them up to practice together.
YEONU’S FRIENDSHIP with these guys is also the most… mainstream, should we say? He loves to show off and post tiktoks, Weverse updates and Instagram videos of choreos he’s come up with and the ones who are okay with the publicity end up gaining a lot of attention from being tagged in such content. He also gets along well with the team as he himself is categorised under the title of ‘choreographer’.
FROM TIME TO TIME, Yeonu is called upon to collaborate and bring fresh ideas to the team when discussing Bangtan’s comebacks, leading to an understanding that flows smoothly between everyone. He even has a select group from the handful of talented artists their company hones who he has chosen to represent him as his backup dancers for solo projects. His love for choreography and its masters has always shone very bright.
THIS PARTICULAR TEAM also love to spoil him and are one of the first people to celebrate any of Yeonu’s dance achievements with him after Bangtan, going from throwing him up into the air to taking him out for drinks and getting absolutely wasted together. Over the years, what once had been a business exchange has now become a true family, leaving Yeonu happy and feeling like he belongs.
⊂ THE ✶ CAMERA CREW ⊃
Tumblr media
WITH SOME OF the previous camera crew, Yeonu had experienced a situation similar to that of his previous managers after his transgender status was revealed. The ones assigned to him didn’t seem to particularly like him—mainly the men. For example, in Run episodes where members are allocated individual cameramen, the ones with Yeonu seemed to do a mediocre job capturing his participation, which for a period of time led to a shortage of Yeonu content.
THIS WASN’T THE case with just Run episodes, however. It was an all around occurrence that initially failed to give Yeonu enough screen time in Bangtan Bombs, DVD footage of concerts, other reality shows and more, and it was a lazily done job. It was easy for ARMYs to realise something was wrong as the camera crew seemed to purposely ignore Yeonu even when he was talking, instead choosing to focus on the member he was actively talking to every time he opened his mouth.
THIS UNPROFESSIONALISM soon led to the termination of many contracts after Bighit put out a statement of apology and recognition of what was occurring with their employees and a certain member. It was affecting Yeonu which was affecting the rest of the members which was then affecting future content, and so to put an end to this downward spiral, Bighit did even more rigorous background checks on their new recruits fulfilling these open positions.
THE NEW TEAM’S professionalism and integrity was wholly visible with the return of Yeonu’s screen presence to what it had previously been like before he was outed. They never once did a poor job, and Yeonu had even gone on to mention how sweet the team were on a live which catapulted ARMYs everywhere to send Bighit mass emails thanking them for this change. The old crew may have been unsavoury, but this new one is here to stay.
⊂ THE ✶ SECURITY ⊃
Tumblr media
NOW HIS SECURITY is an interesting one. As a member of a boygroup, Bangtan’s security used to be one big team—not that it still isn’t, but one big team of guards means that Yeonu couldn’t truly get to know them very well on a one to one basis. They would oftentimes change on availability or location, but a permanent fixture would be presented to him once Chapter 2 of Bangtan’s story started to come around.
LEE GUWON IS A NAME he remembers quite vividly. Guwon was one of those guards—from the small team of extra security that had been allotted to Yeonu on the basis of keeping him safe after outrage from netizens broke of his transgender identity. He hadn’t really talked to Guwon much, but he does remember that infamous stoicism that the male once honed for him. The guards were simply doing their job. They didn’t care who it was for, but they certainly grew to be amused by Guwon and Yeonu’s dynamic.
IT’S A KNOWN FACT that Yeonu sports a rather extroverted personality. He isn’t shy of making conversation and is the first to reach out a hand of friendship, but with Guwon, well… this man just seemed to be completely against the mere prospect of having relationships outside of his job. According to one of the other guards, he rarely talked to them either, leaving immediately once his contracted hours were over for the day.
THIS WAS A MAN OF mystery. That was Yeonu’s first impression of Guwon which would later turn itself on its head entirely. Believe it or not, Yeonu has melted the hearts of many stoic individuals in the past, and Guwon most certainly had not been his losing streak. As for the rest of the guards, Yeonu had befriended them through little commentary here and there, asking them about this black sheep’s personality and winning them over in the mission to get that one smile popping up on Lee Guwon’s handsome face.

👣. !!: YEONU WITH BTS ‧₊˚
⊂ YEON ✶ JIN ⊃
Tumblr media
╭・ฅ🕸﹕popularity - 87 / 1OO !
IT’S AN OPEN SECRET now, with Seokjin having no reason to keep it under wraps—Yeonu has always been the cherished teddy bear of the eldest member, a bond that dates back to their earliest days as trainees. Seokjin is a protective figure in Yeonu’s life. Their bond, akin to a caring friendship, developed through vulnerabilities and moments of trust. Seokjin, being nurturing by nature, earned Yeonu’s affection immediately.
YEONU REMEMBERS Seokjin's comforting words, especially one during times of hardship that remind him of the presence this hyung holds in his life: ‘I've always felt a need to look out for you, even now at the ripe old age of twenty-five. I'd do anything to make sure you're okay.’
YEONU SWEETLY reminisces about this memory, acknowledging that he would reciprocate the care shown by Seokjin. Even to this day, Seokjin helps Yeonu manage his insomnia and nightmares—from being used to visiting Yeonu’s room to sing and provide comforting cuddles that help him drift off to sleep to now staying up on calls as they talk and talk about various topics into the night.
STILL, THEIR RELATIONSHIP can’t entirely be described by sweet exchanges alone. After all, Yeonu is a part of the maknae line. He will get up to the most mischievous pranks on Seokjin, oftentimes using that cute little aegyo to get his way when others would otherwise get in trouble. Yeonu and Seokjin’s bond is that of a brotherly duo.

IN THE REALM of unspoken truths within BTS, one revelation stands out: Yoongi’s affinity for physical affection, despite his occasional denial. There’s a magnetic pull towards skinship, especially when prompted for moments like holding hands during filming. It’s a spectacle to behold when Yoongi swiftly maneuvers, sometimes even across the room, just to clasp Yeonu’s hand firmly, often bordering on a grip so tight that it jeopardises the younger’s blood circulation.
AMIDST TEASING, Yoongi confesses, ‘Yun’s hands are so soft,’ a nickname solely used by the older and attributing his seemingly voracious need for contact to the velvety texture of Yeonu’s hands. Yet, the truth hidden from the public gaze unravels in an unexpected twist—it’s not merely a tactile pleasure, but an anchoring mechanism for Yoongi’s nerves. Yeonu unknowingly plays a pivotal role in keeping Yoongi grounded, especially in unfamiliar or distressing scenarios.
HOWEVER, BENEATH this revelation lies Yeonu’s own bafflement. He’s the one often painted as Yoongi’s anchor, yet it’s Yoongi who, time and again, has graciously dropped everything to be by Yeonu’s side during moments of panic, offering solace and unwavering support since their days as trainees.
YEONU OFTEN PENS his description of Yoongi as his ‘Haven Hyung,’ a term that encapsulates the profound safety he finds in the elder’s presence. When distress rears its head, seeking refuge in Yoongi feels like returning to a place of comfort and familiarity—an unshakable home amid life’s tumultuous storms. It’s a symbiotic relationship that transcends the surface—a haven for both, in their own unique ways, offering compassion, grounding, and an unspoken understanding that ties them together in an unbreakable bond.

⊂ YEON ✶ SEOK ⊃
Tumblr media
╭・ฅ🕸﹕popularity - 86 / 1OO !
BEYOND THE FAÇADE of this duo’s cute interactions lies a buried secret, one that traces the roots of Yeonu’s corrupted and cheeky mindset back to his supposed ‘guardian angel,’ Jung Hoseok. A secret that was meant to remain shrouded in secrecy until Jimin, ever the mischievous soul, unveiled it on national television.
THE GENESIS OF YEONU’S descent into cheekiness stemmed from his initial compatibility with choreography—dance, an arena where he naturally excelled. This predicament thrust Hoseok into a position of companionship, spending late nights in the practice room with Yeonu through grueling sessions. Amidst the exhaustive dance rehearsals, fatigue often clouded their judgment, leading their conversations down paths that veered into incredibly personal territories.
INNOCENTLY CURIOUS, Yeonu would probe Hoseok with questions about life experiences, such as first kisses, relationships, and sought-after dating advice, often unaware of the weight of his inquiries. Hoseok, in response, would chuckle at Yeonu’s endearing naivety, ruffling his hair affectionately. Yet, these candid discussions served as a precursor to Hoseok’s ‘educational’ movie recommendations, sparking an escalation into deeper, more adult conversations.
AS A RESULT, ARMYS have been privy to the aftermath of Hoseok’s ‘corruption,’ observing the duo engage in playful innuendos and laughter at the merest suggestion of a suggestive joke. Their banter, often peppered with subtle hints, has transformed into a delightful chaos, much to the chagrin of their fellow members who are constantly plagued by their mischievous antics.
UNBEKNOWNST TO MANY, these mischievous discussions between Yeonu and Hoseok serve as the catalyst for their constant laughter and playful exchanges. Their friendship, seeded in innocent inquiries, has since blossomed into a shared realm of inside jokes and playful jabs, creating a unique bond that adds both laughter and occasional migraines to the BTS dynamic.
╰・ฅ🕸️﹕dynamic - idiot x idiot 2 !
⊂ YEON ✶ JOON ⊃
Tumblr media
╭・ฅ🕸﹕popularity - 90 / 1OO !
IN THE CLUSTER OF EIGHT bodies, Namjoon emerges as Yeonu’s beacon of serenity amidst the occasional chaos, a presence that soothes the younger member effortlessly. Yeonu’s admiration for their leader manifests in a manner that has him gravitating naturally towards Namjoon’s side, often without the older needing to lift a finger.
THE ROOTS OF THIS RELATIONSHIP may delve into multiple facets. Firstly, there’s a hint that Yeonu may possess a subtle size kink, an unspoken fascination with Namjoon’s towering stature. He’s often found in the older’s proximity, succumbing to a tender melting sensation triggered even by the simplest of gestures—like Namjoon resting his chin atop Yeonu’s head, a gesture amplified by the height difference. To Namjoon, Yeonu is akin to his ‘little teddy bear,’ much like the younger’s bond shared with Seokjin.
THE DEPTH OF THEIR CONNECTION extends beyond mere physical proximity. Namjoon’s habit of consulting Yeonu before anyone else in the group, inviting him for walks or museum visits, holds profound significance. Yeonu recognises the importance of alone time for Namjoon and cherishes these moments, relishing the chance to spend time with their leader outside the realm of work commitments.
WHAT MANY PERCEIVE AS A one-sided adoration isn’t entirely accurate. Yeonu’s apparent ‘simp’ status for Namjoon finds reciprocation in the older’s understated displays of affection. Namjoon, inherently reserved, doesn't seek grand public gestures but values the quieter, intimate moments they share away from prying eyes.
AS OVERTLY SMITTEN AS YEONU may appear, the sentiment is reciprocated, as Namjoon harbours an equal level of adoration, albeit conveyed through his unique and understated manner. It’s an unspoken, soulmate-worthy connection, a silent symphony of mutual admiration, and respect—the kind that flourishes in the subtlest yet most profound gestures between two kindred souls.

JIMIN AND YEONU share a dynamic that is as unique and multifaceted as their individual personalities. From their playful banter to their deep mutual understanding, their bond has captivated fans worldwide, earning them the endearing nickname “Yeonmin.”
AT THE HEART OF their relationship lies a deep-rooted understanding forged through years of experiences, both on and off stage. They are each other’s confidants, each other’s biggest cheerleaders, and each other’s partners in crime. Their playful teasing and lighthearted humour masks a profound connection, evident in the way they anticipate the other’s thoughts and unspoken emotions.
THEIR DYNAMIC IS a creative partnership that has fueled their artistic growth. They inspire each other, pushing creative boundaries and challenging each other to explore new depths. Their onstage synergy is palpable, their synchronised movements and complementary styles creating a mesmerising spectacle.
THEIR RELATIONSHIP is not without its challenges, of course, as any close friendship would be. Differences in personality and occasional disagreements are inevitable, but they navigate these moments with maturity and understanding. Their ability to resolve conflicts and emerge stronger highlights the depth of their bond.
IN ESSENCE, JIMIN AND Yeonu’s dynamic is a testament to the power of human connection. They have found genuity, support, and inspiration in each other, creating a bond that transcends all boundaries. Their friendship is a beacon of hope, reminding people of the transformative power of human connection and the enduring strength of love.

THE BOND BETWEEN Taehyung and Yeonu exists as a silent symphony of unspoken sentiments and heartfelt connections, leaving an air of mystery that tantalises curious observers. Their relationship, a beautiful blend of secrets and soft truths, often presents a subtle yet compelling narrative that whispers of a deeper understanding.
THEIR INTERACTIONS speak volumes in the nuanced language of intimacy, where stolen glances and lingering touches paint a portrait of closeness. There's an effortless harmony in the way they engage, a dance of playful banter punctuated by moments of unguarded vulnerability that hints at a deep bond.
THEIR EFFORTLESS synchronisation adds to the enigma, leaving fans in a state of awe and curiosity. Whether it's their seamless coordination during performances or the whispered conversations shared backstage, their chemistry ignites a flame, sparking questions about the nature of their closeness.
THE TENDER GESTURES, such as Taehyung offering his jacket to Yeonu or the way Yeonu’s smile softens when Taehyung speaks, create an aura of intimacy, inviting speculation about a relationship that might transcend the ordinary.
IN THE LABYRINTH OF mysteries, Taehyung and Yeonu’s relationship remains a captivating tale woven with threads of endearing moments, vulnerability, and an inexplicable closeness that continues to mesmerise and captivate those who seek to unravel the intriguing depths of their remarkable bond.

⊂ YEON ✶ GUK ⊃
Tumblr media
╭・ฅ🕸﹕popularity - 89 / 1OO !
YEONU IS THE ONE to coin the whole ‘roundie’ concept for Jeongguk that is used by ARMYs everywhere today. It was an understandable thing during their pre-debut era—Jeongguk was small, young and absolutely adorable with his sweet doe eyes that would often shy away from Yeonu and the others, but Yeonu also understood the sentiment of a new environment, even if not in the exact same way as Jeongguk may be experiencing these feelings.
THEY WOULD TALK often. Maybe it’s because Yeonu was closest to him in age other than Taehyung, but there was this inviting aura of openness that radiated from Yeonu, as if Jeongguk could talk about anything with him. And he did. They would talk about Jeongguk’s feelings towards moving to Seoul to train or Yeonu’s familiarity with the neighbourhood after being here for a longer period. Sometimes, they would even delve into topics of manhood, discussing things they enjoy that perhaps isn’t seen as ‘manly’ but that they still like to indulge in.
THEIR INSEPARABLE bond soon became evident to the rest of the group. They were often seen laughing together, engrossed in conversations, or sharing reassuring glances during practices and performances. This evolved to Jeongguk clinging by Yeonu’s side every chance that he got, seeking his warmth and teasing him for his short height from time to time and swallowing him whole during hugs.
OVER THE YEARS, Jeongguk has become protective in his own little ways. He’s aware of all the hatred and judgements that Yeonu has had to endure—probably the most out of all of them. He had thought about it, knowing he would never be brave enough to face the things that Yeonu has endured, and so to make his life easier, more bearable, Jeongguk tries in every way to make him smile. Jeongguk is Yeonu’s anchor as Yeonu is Jeongguk’s.

Tumblr media
⊂ HIS ✶ CHILDHOOD ⊃
Tumblr media
KIM YEONU'S story begins not as the person now adored by the world but as someone once known by a different name and set of pronouns that never quite felt right. Initially introduced to the world as Kim Yoonha, the first child born to parents Kim Taeho and Park Eunju, she charmed everyone with her sweet disposition, her chubby cheeks reminiscent of dumplings making her an instant favorite.
AS YOONHA grew, her interests diverged from the stereotypical expectations for girls her age. While other girls cherished dolls and traditional feminine roles, Yoonha found joy in playing with cars, cranes, and often took on the role of a husband in make-believe scenarios. This distinction stirred reactions among her playmates; while some boys accepted her choices, others demanded conformity to what they considered the “correct” roles. As a result, she found her place among the girls who embraced her unconventional preferences, allowing her to embody the role of a husband without judgment.
AT THIS STAGE, nothing felt overtly out of place. Yoonha recognised her interests didn't align with typical gender expectations but believed in embracing individual differences. Her friendships remained robust, spanning both boys and girls in her kindergarten. Many admired her unconventional qualities, viewing a “tomboyish” girl as cool during that period.
AS YEONU began elementary school, however, a watershed moment unraveled—a realisation that would forever alter the course of his understanding of self. It was a defining juncture, the genesis of an awareness that he was unequivocally not a girl. A curriculum lesson detailing the impending physical changes of puberty in girls struck Yeonu with terror. The thought of breast development, broader hips, and menstruation sent shivers down his spine.
THIS REACTION felt foreign, triggering an overwhelming sensation in his chest. A request to use the restroom led to Yeonu's first panic attack at the tender age of nine. He couldn't fathom undergoing these changes, a sentiment that only intensified as he gazed at his female classmates. The prospect of transitioning into womanhood was anathema to him.
THUS BEGAN YEONU'S quest for knowledge, an ardent pursuit to understand the changes that puberty brought. The deeper he delved into the contrasting trajectories of male puberty, the more profound his yearning grew. He craved a deep voice, strength, and stature—a desire that seemed unattainable. Was there no solution? Did he have to resign himself to this fate? The aversion to being seen as a woman consumed him, perplexing and tormenting his young mind.
THE INTERNAL STRUGGLE consumed him, his once-vibrant spirit waning. His parents, especially Eunju, discerned the gradual shift in their daughter's demeanor—withdrawn, subdued, and haunted by an invisible burden. Attempts to probe met a wall of silence; Yoonha feared revealing the truth, deeming these sentiments a form of psychological ailment. How could she change what nature had dictated? Were these yearnings for boyhood merely irrational?
AT HIS LOWEST, Kim Taeho, the steadfast figure in Yeonu's life, intervened. Always closer to her father, Yoonha sought solace in his comforting embrace, finally revealing the depths of her anguish. Tears flowed freely as Yoonha clung to her father, though in that embrace, she was not his daughter anymore.
HE HAD A SON. Kim Taeho's understanding surpassed Yoonha's expectations. It was he who illuminated the concept of transitioning, imparting a profound truth—“You were always a boy, sweetheart.”
AND IT WAS ALWAYS KIM TAEHO. He employed the male pronouns, renaming Yoonha to Yeonu, walking alongside him steadfastly through the journey of transition, affirming the essence of becoming his true self as a man.
⊂ PRE ✶ DEBUT ⊃
Tumblr media
YEONU'S MOTHER reacted with palpable disapproval upon learning about Taeho and their child's transgender identity. For Yeonu, the stinging ache of his mother's immediate rejection became a shattering heartbreak, a pain he believed to be the deepest cut to his soul. Initially engulfed by a tumultuous struggle, he found strength through Taeho's unwavering support, even in the face of unrelenting hostility from others.
HIS FATHER STOOD as a shield, a pillar of light. Understanding the profound impact of female puberty on Yeonu's mental well-being, he arranged for puberty blockers, defying legal restrictions to shield his son from the changes that caused distress. Taeho's acts, though illegal, were driven solely by his desire to see his son find happiness.
WHEN YEONU EMBARKED on his path at BigHit Entertainment however, Taeho grappled with fear for his son's well-being. Aware of society's treatment of those diverging from societal norms, he strove tirelessly to maintain a constant presence in Yeonu's life, visiting frequently to ensure his son's welfare. However, for the adolescent navigating the complex terrain of transitioning into male puberty, these frequent visits proved stifling. Yeonu found himself caught between the protective gestures of his father and the desire for independence that came with this new chapter in his life.
THE PRESENCE OF Taeho visiting him often felt suffocating for Yeonu. The fear of being perceived as incapable or less “manly” by his peers in the company's environment spiked his anxiety. The prospect of his fellow trainees catching him in conversation with his father stirred an embarrassment that threatened to overshadow his desire to establish his identity independently. This dynamic birthed a subtle divide in their relationship—a time when Yeonu struggled to fend off his father's concerns, yearning to carve his path in music while attempting to distance himself from his father's constant worries.
AFTER A HEARTFELT one to one, Yeonu had been able to embrace his authentic self. The prospect of dwelling in a dorm surrounded by boys didn't daunt him. Having grown up among guys, often engaging with his brother's friends during sleepovers, this new chapter felt natural, fitting, and undeniably right. Yeonu's encounter with Namjoon remains etched vividly in his memory, a poignant moment marking the start of a new journey. The puberty blockers had started to make way for actual testosterone injections, leaving newcomers clueless as to Yeonu’s transgender status.
ALTHOUGH YEONU found comfort and acceptance among his fellow trainees—Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoongi, he understood the importance of presenting as male in public spaces. The idea of “passing” carried significant weight, shielding him from the prejudgments of strangers. Despite the warm friendship he shared with the boys, he withheld the truth about his identity, a choice he made to navigate the complexities of acceptance and societal biases.
DURING HIS TIME as a trainee, Yeonu reveled in conversations about music, sports, and the casualness of late-night escapades. He cherished these moments of unguarded bonds, feeling at home amidst these men who shared similar interests and experiences. Though he contemplated the prospect of coming out, he found no immediate urgency in doing so, viewing it as a decision he would reserve for a later time. His resolve was firm: should he secure a spot in the final lineup, only then would he choose to reveal his truth to his fellow members.
AND SECURE HE DID. Yeonu, a dedicated hard worker brimming with an unyielding spirit, became part of a group that would later be known as the Bulletproof Boy Scouts, alongside Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jeongguk. Embracing these companions, he fostered a deep bond with each, cherishing shared aspirations.
HOWEVER, DESPITE his deep affection for the group, Yeonu found himself dealing with a difficult truth. The promise he made to reveal his identity slipped further from his grasp as the weight of potential repercussions loomed large. The fear of rejection, the haunting specter of being shunned or even ejected from the group, plagued his thoughts relentlessly. These apprehensions stifled his resolve to come out, compelling him to continue presenting himself as a cis man, even well into their debut.
⊂ DEBUT ✶ & BEYOND ⊃
Tumblr media
IT WAS ACTUALLY quite early on into their debut that Yeonu had gone into surgery. The puberty blockers, although halted his female puberty, had only been able to be administered once he actually started puberty in the first place, leaving behind slight breast development that needed getting rid of. Nobody was made aware of what Yeonu’s surgery was actually for, instead being informed of a vague medical issue that’s been bothering the male for a long time.
THINGS WERE GOING WELL. Apart from being slightly reserved when it came to things like showering and changing completely butt booty naked in front of the others, Yeonu raised zero suspicions. He was quickly building a rapport for himself as a rookie rapper within the idol industry, and BTS as a whole were rising amongst the ranks with a solid promise of young talent.
BUT JUST AS QUICKLY AS they were rising, so were the growing number of haters that wished to break them down. It wasn’t long at all before malicious individuals would start digging into the members’ personal lives, scavenging for anything at all to make them look bad or raise eyebrows that would point and laugh and mock. And of course, it was poor old Yeonu that would take the fall for the ill intentions of others.
IT HADN’T ACTUALLY BEEN revealed that Yeonu was transgender. His family had done well to conceal traces of their son’s old identity apart from a few baby photos that would surface of Yeonu wearing dresses and honing slightly long hair. It got people questioning, brewing rumours that he was definitely born a woman while others would say that perhaps he just enjoyed dressing up as a kid and his parents would indulge him, but obviously people like a story. They went with the transgender theory, and soon that was all that anyone would talk about.
THE MEMBERS ALL HAD mixed reactions initially. Namjoon, who often delved into queer culture and history, had simply been a little surprised whilst others were confused, torn or anxious. Yeonu was in the heap of a mental breakdown at the news, shrivelling in on himself as he attempted to come to terms with his current situation.
IT WAS A TERRIFYING experience. He remembers the days in which the media would bombard him with questions, asking him to address the rumours and calling him by female pronouns. He remembers going on variety shows and feeling sorry for his fellow members when the questions would simply just get turned around to him possibly being transgender instead of actually talking about their latest comeback. He dealt with much abuse at this time from a lot of people, and it drained him in every way.
IT HAD EVEN REACHED a point in time in which Yeonu had expressed feelings of leaving the group altogether. From the constant abuse and judgment, topped with his crippling mental health, he was beginning to lose his will—he was losing faith in everything that he fought so hard for.
BUT THIS WAS WHEN the rest of Bangtan really pulled through for their Kim Yeonu. He was one of their own and there was no way in hell that they were simply going to sit by as those around them began treating the boy differently over something he couldn’t control. Of course they couldn’t be harsh to these interviewers and media outlets, but they were firm in their stance that Yeonu was no different to any of them. He was a boy. That was the end of that.
THINGS, ALTHOUGH still troublesome, got easier when the boys rallied up beside him in solidarity. They were the bulletproof shields that kept Yeonu intact for as long as he still stays standing to this day. The media had doubled down on the boys after noticing their unwavering loyalty to each other, attempting to pit them against the ‘black sheep’ of the group and disrupt their harmony.
IT NEVER WORKED. In fact, as the years had gone by, BTS only seemed to grow and rise in popularity as they began doing shows abroad, touring various countries and selling out shows completely. Yeonu stood tall and proud amongst his members and he would even be accepted and admired by overseas audiences, catapulted by some liberal interviewers that showered him in praises over his achievements as a queer artist.
IT HAD SPREAD AN inkling of warmth to hear such comforting words after years of struggle. It just goes to show that perseverance, against all odds, does indeed yield its deserved harvest.

Yeonu occupied a car with Taehyung and Jimin during their first airport trip of 2O16. There were three cars in total, the second occupied by Hoseok and Jeongguk, and the third by Seokjin, Yoongi and Namjoon.
“How are you feeling, Yeo?” Jimin asks quietly, a little nervous, a little on edge. He sits to the left side by the window, eyebrows downturned with a cloud of gloom hanging over the lot of them. Yeonu keeps his eyes on his feet, boucing them, fidgeting, with his hood pulled up and his face mask pulled over his lips and nose even before they’d reached their destination. He couldn’t face either of them, instead lifting his hand in a thumbs up.
On Taehyung’s end ( who sits on the opposite side of Yeonu, to his right ), he doesn’t say much either. It’s not because he’s at a loss for words at the moment, but something tells him Yeonu would appreciate a more silent gesture right now, and so his head droops over the smaller’s own in a comforting embrace.
“There’s probably gonna be a lot of people, right?” Yeonu asks to no one in particular, his voice barely reaching above a croaky whisper.
A lot had been going on over the last few days, and so his voice hasn’t been in the greatest of conditions lately. Yeonu doesn’t want to get into it.
“I won’t let them touch you.” Taehyung’s response is immediate, his voice resembling a low growl that startles Jimin into closing his mouth before he’d even gotten a chance to answer. Taehyung has been a ferocious spirit throughout this entire predicament so far, always ready to stand up for Yeonu against misspeaks and somehow becoming even clingier than previously so. It makes Yeonu crack a small smile beneath his mask.
“We’re all here for you. Manager-nim has also taken care of the security, and we’ll be right by your side the entire time.” Jimin assures, “The 95 line can be a very competent human shield.” He jokes, and Taehyung nods his head from atop Yeonu’s own before he goes in for a hug, an arm wrapping around the smaller’s waist.
During times like this, Yeonu’s mind drifts to wonder whether he may be overthinking everyone’s potential reactions at the airport. At least that is until he recalls the vile slurs thrown at him over the internet, articles of slander and misinformation about what it truly means to be trans, claiming he’s mentally ill, that he needs to be locked away, even before he’s actually come out and revealed his identity.
He could just hide it though, couldn’t he?
He has that choice, to deny all of these rumours and allegations and attempt to fabricate some sort of lie about the picture. It would be the safer bet, but he’s already come out to his members—he had to. His image has been tainted with ruin.
No, no, let’s not think about this.
He doesn’t have to answer anyone’s questions right now. All he needs to do is safely board his flight to Taiwan with the boys. That’s all he needs to focus on, and that’s what he’ll do. Board the flight to Taiwan safely.
The remainder of the journey in the car is quiet, save for the odd joke or reminiscent memory of pre-debut events that transpired to make Yeonu crack a smile. By this point, Taehyung had also pulled out his wired earphones, slipping one into Yeonu’s ear and using the other for himself.
“You don’t get to see the songs,” He pouts out, pulling his phone close to his chest, “This is my special playlist. I don’t just share it with anyone, you know.” He states, and Yeonu hums, amused.
“I’ll probably recognise something.” He says quietly, quite the big music enthusiast. Jimin is texting away on his own phone for a moment before switching it off and turning to face the other two, palm supporting his head. His features are soft, at ease with Taehyung’s raspy voice distracting Yeonu from his troubles.
“You’ve been listening to a lot of jazz recently,” The oldest of the trio says passively to Taehyung, and Yeonu hums, agreeing. It’s a step up from complete silence, accompanied by some commentary every now and again. “Don’t make him listen to that. He’ll fall asleep. Are you gonna carry him then?”
“I’ll take full responsibility.” Taehyung says without batting an eye at either of them, still wholly focused on finding a specific song. Yeonu can’t see it from this angle, but he can vividly imagine the subconscious pout that rests on Taehyung’s lips; a habit of his that’s always melted even the coldest of mountains.
“Aha!” Taehyung cries his victory, and soon sweet melodies filter through the earphone as Yeonu attempts to catch the name of the song. It’s barely five seconds in before he’s guessed it.
“Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door? The original version.” He murmurs, “Good one.”
Taehyung whines as Jimin laughs. “How do you know every song?” He asks, baffled yet in clear awe. It’s almost as if Yeonu is a walking library brimming with the world’s music, able to catch songs from every decade all the way down to its original composer and singer. It’s seriously impressive.
“I just like music.” Yeonu says simply, earning the attention of Park Jimin who rests his hands on Yeonu’s shoulders.
“And that’s why we need you. You’re a musical prodigy.” He says, massaging the male’s shoulders. “We’re never letting you go.”
AIRPORT ───── ARRIVAL
The vicinity of Incheon Airport is absolutely packed and buzzing with chaos when the boys make their arrival.
Thankfully, their car windows are tinted so people can’t take photographs as they park by the side of the road, immediately swarmed with cameras and screaming fan girls. The journey here for Yeonu had started with palpable anxiety initially, which was then slowly tended to by Jimin and Taehyung who had commenced a game of ‘How Many Songs Can Yeonu Guess Until We Reach The Airport.’
That moment is now over, and it’s clearly catching up to Yeonu whose heavy breathing starts up once more, nerves jittery, stomach tight with tension. His eyes are wide and fearful; a deer caught in the headlights of oncoming death.
The members had all agreed upon the 95z coming out last, deeming it the safest way to deal with the mob whose attention would be diverted for a few crucial minutes, giving everyone time to make a fortified shield around Yeonu.
Namjoon, Seokjin and Yoongi are the first members to exit their vehicle, car parked at the very front while Jimin, Yeonu and Taehyung were the last to arrive on scene. The cameras are shoved into the three members faces almost instantly, and the security struggle to completely push them away to give the boys room to breathe. It only heightens Yeonu’s fear as he watches the swarm from his seat, scrambling unintentionally until his back hits Taehyung’s chest. The male rests his hand on Yeonu’s arm, squeezing.
“Here. Put these on for when you get out.” Taehyung says firmly, his bubbly demeanour from earlier now dissipated into something dour as he plugs both of the earphones into Yeonu’s ear, connecting the wire to Yeonu’s phone, and then opening up his Spotify. He had been able to aegyo his way into finding out the male’s password, something which Yeonu still hasn’t decided to update to this day.
There was only one playlist on his account, consisting of every song he’s ever liked, and Taehyung plays exactly that, feeling quite thankful for the long play time. The volume isn’t ear piercingly loud, but it’s definitely enough to drown out Yeonu’s surroundings in a satisfactory manner. Taehyung signs, telling him to take deep breaths and to…
‘Leave it all up to me.’
Yeonu blinks rapidly, feeling a multitude of tears that he cannot possibly let out. Taehyung smiles so softly at him, a shining star that he wants to hug and disappear into, but Hoseok and Jeongguk have already begun to make their exit out of their car and now it’s so close. Jimin’s hand is on the handle of the car door and it’s much, much too close.
I can’t do this. How can I do this?
The other members have somehow managed to push their way through to where Jimin, Yeonu and Taehyung still remain within the confines of their car, and that’s when Jimin opens the door after giving Yeonu one last squeeze to his fist, telling him it’ll be okay.
The bombardment is unimaginable. Yeonu’s music plays at a volume where the noises of surroundings are muffled at best, but even he could hear the amplification of the screaming once he had fully stepped out onto the concrete flooring, tensed and unable to make eye contact with anyone.
A lot of the members encircle him without needing to be told at all; three up ahead, two on either side of him and two behind him. He doesn’t really know which member is standing where, and they don’t wait to take any pictures. The security uses a lot of brute force, more so than usual because Yeonu can see the way some fans are swaying backwards, falling and crashing into others as he inhales deeply, feeling apologetic.
It always takes them far longer than necessary to reach the terminals because of these airport fans. Yeonu just wishes they could make their trip and board the flight without so much hassle every time.
“Kim Yoonha-ssi! How much did you pay to try to become a man?”
And in that split second, in the midst of his current song fading out, he hears it and his body grows cold.
How did they come across his deadname?
“Kim Yoonha-ssi, did you get your breasts cut off at an early age? Why do you want to become a man when you’re a woman?”
They just keep coming. One after the other, and Yeonu has paused his playlist on his phone, hand skilled within the pocket of his jacket from years of muscle memory and practice. His heart clenches with stressful memories.
“Kim Yoonha! You’ll never be a real man! Leave Bangtan!”
Listening to hateful sentiments— true sentiments has Yeonu’s fist shaking, nostrils building up mucus and mouth drying up fast until something collides with his back and his eyebrows furrow, confused.
At first, he’d been expecting Taehyung. He knows the male was pretty adamant about his safety, so catch Yeonu’s surprise when he looks down to see the sleeves of a black hoodie wrapped around his waist, grip tight and protective, even almost possessive. This wasn’t Taehyung— no, Taehyung was adorning lighter colours, a brown coat, but he does know someone who is sporting black today.
Jeonggukie.
He can’t turn back to confirm it, but his heart jolts with felicity, and his eyes shimmer with newfound tears because Jeongguk was the last member he had expected to attach himself so closely to him like this even in a general setting, let alone in such a public one. The others seemed just as startled as Yeonu upon realising it soon after, but their eyes would crinkle into the beginnings of a smile beneath their mask, content.
Even in times of upset, Jeongguk’s natural instinct overpowered his feelings of betrayal, unable to stand by and just watch his hyung be slandered. Yeonu feels Jeongguk’s warmth wash over him, drowning out the transphobic slurs and insults of reporters and journalists as the maknae snuggles his face just above the crown of Yeonu’s head.
He seriously missed this clingy brat.
The boys venture further along the premises of the airport, and as the group finally arrive near the terminals, Yeonu has to say he’s at least grateful for the hate of a hundred masses bringing him his Jeongguk back.
“Took you long enough, dumbass.” Yoongi mutters to the youngest, and all of them laugh together for the first time that day. A family which had initially been impacted by a crack in the seams were going to be just fine.
